Emperor Alaric Tan'it of the Xeraphian Empire has called upon the member-nations of The Grand Alliance of Peace Through Strength to mobilise for a Military Management Assesment of all GAPTS forces to determine readiness response to potential military objectives.

The Emperor is pleased to announce that the following nations will deploy air and sea units to the territorial waters off of the coast of the region of Mercenary Lands:

For the first time, the Emperor has ordered the deployment of the new Vampire Class Heavy Nuclear Battle Missile Carriers to the initial coordinates of The Inland Sea.

There are only two in the entire fleet. Stats as follows:

King Ricala of Auralinia, Lord Director of the Xeraphian Space League has updated the GAPTS military management assesment effort by bringing two Orbital Battle Platforms ( OBP ) and one Extra Spatial Battle Platform ( ESBP ) online for surface recon/scanning procedures.

The units will be able to provide detailed information about GAPTS units as well as any potential enemy movements. The scan covers approximately 42% of the surface of the planet.

Attention Grand Alliance:

Having just returned to Vhammpyr from the conference in Fourhearts, where we were attacked by the cowards from Axis Nova, I hereby pledge total cooperation with GAPTS in the destruction of the Kraven menace.

Although Vhammpyr is not a member of GAPTS, I am prepared to attend the Military Management Assesment proceedings.

As you may or may not know, Vhammpyr has no navy or airforce. Our "specialty" is in all aspects of ground warfare. We presently have 13 million Vhammpyrian Warriors activated with another 13 million still in stasis.

Our MechDiv units are presently enroute to the Plains of the Moon ( the only flat area of Vhammpyr ) for manuvers. The MechDiv units are made up of two types of MBTs: the Panther IV and the Dark Wing Stealth.

Vhammpyr presently has 4,331 Panther IVs and 1,666 DWS. All are available to GAPTS for this Assesment.

The Plains of the Moon were the scene of a vast mobilization of Warriors and human troops. Millions in fact. This was ostensibley for a "military management assesment", but Dangoth had other ideas.

Commander Dangoth Saph was in charge of the 7th Vhammpyrian Corps, which included the dreaded Dracul Legions. Even those in Vhammpyr feared the Legions, know as the most ruthless of the Vhammpyrian warriors.

Sitting in his command tent, Dangoth went over his orders. At first, he couldn't understand why humans were being sent here when the Warriors were all that would be needed in the event of defense and/or attack. Vhammpyr was a nation of Warriors....ground troops virtually indestructable. You couldn't kill them.....they were already dead by human standards. The only way to stop them was to cut them to pieces. And even then the pieces continued moving under their own volition.

Each Warrior was outfitted with the latest weaponry: fully automatic rifles, hand lasers, sidearms, even short swords. And then there was their brutal strength, three times that of a human. They wore full body armor, Kevlar over thin-plated steel, night-vision goggles, all flame proof.

" Captain Thid, do you have an updated report on present troop strength?"

" Yes, Commander. Of the 13 million Warriors called out of stasis, 7.32 million are presently fully awake and armed. Remainder will be available in 72 hours. Human troops from United Earthlings and a Circassyan coalition will add another .75 million. The coastline af Vhammpyr and The Black Katanas are completely encircled by the navies of The Katanas, Xeraph, The Grey Legions, and Tarlag. King Ricala has Vhammpyr covered by one of his Battle Platforms."

Dangoth sat silently for a minute, then looked at Thid. " So captain, what do you make of all this?"

" Sir, this obviously is more than a "military assesment". The Emperor wouldn't call all these nation's forces together just to play wargames. Perhaps it's in response to the rumors in the Pagan Borderlands. As you know, Azulun is there. And where Azulun is, trouble follows."

" Hmmmm, yes, Azulun. That traitor shouldv'e been dead years ago. But he hasn't done anything....yet. No, it's more than that."

" Well, sir. There IS the Axis Nova/Fourhearts situation. And Axis Nova is aligned with Kraven Corps. There are numerous Kraven slave-states, and theyr'e all ready for war."

" Yes, but even Kraven/Axis Nova couldn't stand for long against what the Emperor has called up." Dangoth let out a long sigh. " I suppose we'll find out when we're supposed to.........."

The 5th and 6th fleet has been called up to join the other two fleets (1st and 10th) having already prepared to sail.

In additional to I. Corps already on call- the following Corps have also been brought up to a higher state of alert. They are 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th and the 10th Airborne.

What a sight it was to behold- hundreds of ships lined up against the pier, the piers jam packed with people wishing their familes good bye, or a friend, or just wishing the troops themselves off. For the first time in its history- the Armed Forces of United Earthlings had been called up for a war. Some were scared, some were sad, some were exicited, but all were ready. For years- the nation had been planning for just such a case. A day when they would have to defend a friend and ally from harm and to defend the freedoms of others that the people of UE had known and enjoyed so long.

As the ships finally blew their wistles, signaling that they were ready to depart- all lines had been secured and all hatchs closed and locked. What a sight it was to behold.

Everyone aboard the ships- expect the crew of course, were on main deck waving, thousands of hands just waving, the music in the background playing the national Athnem of UE could barely be heard with all the cheering and shouting go on. But, that didn't matter.

As the land of UE gradualy drifted into haze and then nothing- the crew and those aboard settled into thier routine, however their wasn't a soul aboard who wasn't worried about the future. Would they ever see home again? Were they doing the right thing? Could this war be won? Who were they going to fight? All they knew is who ever they were going to fight- they had commited terrible crimes and it was the duty of ever citizen of UE to right the wrongs of those who would dare commit such crimes against those of UE's friends, family and allys.

It was indeed a great day- a day that will long be remember as the day the fellow nations of the world march forward together to victory and to ever lasting peace.

The Emperor had come to a decision.

He had been in conference with his advisors for hours. Pouring over maps. Assesing military strength. Contemplating diplomatic ties.

It was time.


Turning to his Executive Secretary, he said, " Vanessa, will you please contact the following nations for a tele-conference?" He handed her a list.

Vanessa scanned the list. " And what should I tell them the purpose of the conference is, m'lord?"

He looked at her. " The purpose, my dear, is war....."

The Emperor and I urge the above nations to stand down operations in the Colony. The situation has become untenable as Kraven and allies have gained the upper hand in Arterus, and the Colony will eventually become surrounded.

Even though the above nations have a significant number of forces in the Colony, we feel that those forces would be better used elsewhere.

We suggest redeploying all units to the territorial waters off of the region of The Mercenary Lands and Mandalore Prime. Ground units can be deployed to either Vhammpyr or The Black Katanas.

Time is of the essense.

General Gayland Cox and the Grand Duke entered the military command center deep in the Ironlord mountains.
A young officer in the uniform of the Tarlag Defense force came forward " My Lord we have just received a message form Xerpah. They are requesting a teleconference."
"So it begins" replied General Cox.
" Gayland, I want you to activate Firestorm."
" But my Lord with all our allies is Firestorm necessary."
"We need to prove a point to these bastards. We prep the units and if they are needed we use them." replied Duke Ozgood.

" Miss Harcort, get hold of Admiral Kirkinis. Tell him I want 200 of the Tarantula Class VLS destroyers added to our fleet. I want them positioned to go out first should hostilities erupt."

Effective immediately, all ground troops in the region of Mercenary Lands are hereby ordered to embarkation naval bases along the coasts of Xeraph, The Grey Legions, Vhammpyr, Black Shadows, The Grey Phoenix, Auralinia, and the Black Katanas.

Deployment aboard Poseidon Troop Transports to begin at 0130 hours the day after tomorrow.

Armored ParaTroops are to report to Air Bases throughout the region.

The King read the message, then sprang into action. " Get me general Jackson and Admiral Perkins. Emperor Tan'it wants everyone out of Black Warrior Cult's colony ASAP and is requesting a teleconference. Open all channels and keep them open. I want to be ready when it starts."

"Yes sir. Uh, what do you want me to tell the general and admiral, sir?"

The King glared at the corporal. " What the fuck do you think? Tell them to begin withdrawing our forces at once! Somethings up....I want to be ready for whatever it is."

" Y-yessir. Right away sir!"

"Captain, I want to get under way in 2 hours. It sounds we are going to war."

Noting the increased activity on the satellites, the Axis Nova SDI system operators recieve attack authority.

Several high-energy free-electron lasers release their fusion pumped beams at the enemy satellites, while closer in a number of frag bombs change their orbit and detonate, sending hundreds of thousands of ball bearings across the entire orbital plane with the enemy platforms.

Between the lasers and the wall of junk moving at orbital velocities, the enemy platforms would soon be scrap...

" Red alert! All hands to battle stations! Shields up!"

Commander Alcorn hastily sent a hgh priority message to the King. " M'lord, we've been attacked! I'm assuming it's the Axis Nova SDI system. We're returning fire, but they got the jump on us. Orbital Battle Platforms are disintegrating, Extra Spatial Battle Platforms are faring better. Photon torpedoes and lasers coordinated and doing damage. You'd better inform the Emperor........this is it!"

The transmission became garbled as static interference clouded reception. As the shields gave way, explosions rocked the Platforms. Men and women were sucked out into cold, airless space while pieces of the structures broke away and floated off into space..............

OCC: I don't remember deploying troops to the colonys, but any way- if I said I was I problay meant- I get around to it. Takes time to call up the troops. The ones I'm sending just a few hours ago nationstates time boarded the ships and set sail for the Mercenary Lands. Thats the 1st and 10th fleet with I. Corps in tow. The rest of the fleet that got called up- 5th and 6th and the new corps being assembled will follow later.

" Because of the trajectory needed on reentry we should not have a problem. Even if the firestorm units are damaged they still should reach their targets. 500 tons of mass traveling at over mach 5 are kind of hard to stop sir."
The Duke chuckled to himself " the Bastards won't even know who sent it."
"General Cox do we have any of our missile subs in range of Axis Nova?"
"The S-802,S-807 and the Kraken class the Narwhal my Lord. They are two missile boats and an assault sub."
" Have them fire a number of EMP missiles over Axis Nova then withdraw that should disable their ground to space communication enough for our allies to gain the upper hand in the space battle and blind their deep space scanners to firestorm."
Moments later 12 non nuclear EMP missiles launched from their tubs for their detonation point 120,000 feet above Axis Nova.
(These missiles will deploy dummy warheads making the intercept problem harder.)

OOC: I ignore FT stuff unless in an FT RP. If your platforms were FT then they don't exist as far as I'm concerned.

As ICBM launches are detected from enemy submarines, Axis Nova's entire military command complex shoots to DEFCON 4 in the blink of an eye. Thanks to the extensive SDI system, several frag bombs spread an orbital debris field even before they can leave the atmosphere, and interceptor missiles as well as FELs do nicely for the rest.

These missiles were sub orbital not orbital trajectory. The orbital debris fields and frag will be over their path. The interceptor missiles will not have much time to get a lock before detonation. One or two assuming the decoys used may get to target.
