BM-13 Katyusha Multi-Rocket Launcher System
The rocket of the BM-13 system, designated RS-132 (RS for Raketnyi snaryad = rocket-propelled shell) was 180 cm (5.9 ft) long, 13.2 cm (5.2 in) in diameter and weighed 42 kg (92 lb). Anywho, Ardidi, for a World War II RP you sure have modern equipment. T-55s? Ak-47s? Kirov Class Cruisers?

Try KV-1s, KV-2s, KV-3s, BT-5s, T-34s (M1941-1943), or T-34/85s instead of T-55s.

Keep to Mosin-Nagant 1890/30s, PPSh-41s and PPSh-43s instead of Aks.

As for the navy? Needs to be fixed.

T-44s would be better suited for the time period. And although Ak-47s were created in 1947, they were seen in widespread soviet army use until the 50s, before then it was relagated to more elite untis.

New map will be bbsed to all of you in a little while maybe sunday or friday.

Just a couple rping rules here:

1) No Nukes (i.e.: you can't say "i nuke ur whole army and just pwn u lolz"). Plus I think this will be a lot more fun without nukes.

2) If you are losing the war, admit defeat and surrender. You can't keep fighting if your capital city has been taken and your government is in enemy hands.

3) You can't roll over someone in one post. It isn't fair to them. The person must be given time to respond to the threat you present.

4) If you make up a weapon, you must provide all technical specs to the other players. If it is unrealistic, we will ignore it.

5) If your country is defeated, you can rp a resistance movement, but it is limited to a 15 member squad and you must provide the following: a name, number of members, armaments, and the amount of ammunition they have for those armaments. BE REALISTIC IN THIS (i.e.: they cant have 10,000 rounds of Thompson ammo to start with).

6) Don't be too unrealistic with the transport and manufacture of supplies for your army.

7) All armed forces are 10% of your population listed in my last post.

8) A list of your armaments and stuff must be provided. Use my first post and Ardidi's post as an example except providing artillery like Ardidi did is unecessary.

10% is a bit much. 5% of the pop is typical, unless you go Red Army style and take every 18 to 26 year old person which would demolish the economy. Most people on NS RP a max of 5%, most not even.

And do you remember what Cmdr said about capital cities? It's not always the center of gravity and a country could keep fighting without its capital. After all, if someone acts like Russia in the RP, they may need to evacuate the capital to regroup and counterattack, essentially letting the invaders take captured cities to spread them thin before being kicked out. It looks like there aren't that may cities in this RP.

Kiel Shipyards- The first battleship of the Z-Plan has been finished, the Imperial Naval Ship Hindenburg, much to the delight of the over 50,000 witnesses in attendence. The Kaiser Wilhelm III initiated its enterance into the Kriegsmarine with the customary breaking of the champagne bottle across the bow before the ship sailed off on its maiden voyage.

There will be approximately five more of the class built at the conclusion of the Z-Plan.

OOC: What about Eric, Colin, Samy, Darragh, and Dougy Daisey Feeterman?

OOC: The R-1 is a Russian weapon. True, it is originally a German Weapon (V-2 Rocket), it does have minor modifications. In RL it could only have been done with the help of German scientists, but in this NS world it could have been made by anybody. It falls under the category "made by one country but also another" in that it wasn't possible to be made without one country, but the other country itself made it.

Kind of like the Studebaker the Ardidi listed. The weapon is mounted on a US truck. Theoretically Appalacia could say no and not let you have the weapon system as it uses American parts, but since Russia is the only country to have created it, and we posted what we "can have since our nations built it" idk how Appalacia feels about the R-1.

In other words the R-1 weapon would never be built normally in the RP without Germainia's assistance (which I haven't given) since Polijarny (or Russia in RL) couldn't create it without Germany's assistance. However, Appalacia stated that you can have whatever you built and since it is a weapon you built, the R-1 rocket could therefore be used.

Thus it falls into The Appalacians's hands to decide. Does Ardidi get to use the R-1 as his country built it? Or does he not get to build it because I never gave him the people and resources necessary to do so?

Naval Force Mobilization

The Republic of South Hold has just mobilized three of its six carrier battle groups to bomb Naem while not crossing Germanias borders. "We have done this to respect the sovereignty of Germania. Also, we respect their decision to protect the defenseless Dukedom of Justinia from Naem's terroristic efforts," President Sturmfuhrer said yesterday. Also, the flagship of the South Hold High Seas Fleet, the SHSS Redemption; a Bismark class battleship, has been mobilized with the carrier SHSS Osprey.

Also, the president has announced a project to protect South Hold's shores from amphibious assault. "With bunkers on all the beaches suitable for landing and cruiser patrols along our borders, our country will be an impregnable fortress," Sturmfuhrer said. His plan will take 6 months to finish most of the concrete bunkers, and ongoing improvements will further fortify the beaches.

the three ship squadron, which is composed of the Bretagne, Dunkerque, and Fantasque do just as Capt. Jeter ordered and soon their airplanes were in the air searching for the German Bastard. The ships tried to avoid all the torpedoes but the Fantasque took a hit from one to the bow, but is still mobile, and is trying to make it back to dry dock under her own power. The other three torpedoes missed due to the inaccuracy of the German commander, and his lust for kill. Now the Dunkerque's four planes are in the air searching fro the submarine.

Shortly after firing his torpedoes, Rameus made a crash dive to the seafloor. He would be able to stay there for about 5 hours, enough time for the activity to die down. Then, he resurfaced, fired another torpedo spread at the group, and made a dash at very deep depths.

Both of the submarines in the area the Le Cordom Bleu and Altoids who were lying on the ocean floors right at their crush depth picked up a submerged contact leaving after the fire, instead of coming to the surface for orders the commanders decide to follow and hunt down the enemy submarine.

After many hours of chasing the german subamrine they follow him into a deep under water canyon where they each unleash the four fish each that they had put into the doors while chasing the sub. after opening fire the Altoid and Cordom Bleu, let loose another torpedo each to make sure the job was doen and leave to go and aid the now injured Dunkerque, and her crew who took a torpedo to the propeller and are now unable to move. Capt. Jeter has called for tugs and they are their way but they wont get to her for another hour at least. The, Fantasque, has made back into port and is going under repairs for her damage, but saving her is still in the air for now, but in response to this attack a large minfield has been deployed on the edge of Naem territorial waters, with only one opening for ships of forgein nations.

The Redemption steamed along next to the Osprey as she launched her Stuka compliment and fighter escorts. This would be their first strike against the Naeman enemy. They would penetrate to the capitol and target Naem's legislative buildings and military headquarters.

The news of the sinking of the Mariner has reached the Polijarnial Press. It was steaming in international waters when it hit a moored mine off of Naem. The fishing vessel sank within 20 minutes of striking the mine. No survivors were found. A mayday call was issued, but because of the nature of the attack, the Polijarnial Coast Guard halted all civilian rescue attempts to prevent further mine hits. By the time the Coast Guard reached the scene for an aerial survey, there were no survivors. All 27 aboard were lost. The ship's value was approximately 10 million dollars. Our sympathy goes to the families of all those lost. Air Attacks Begin on Naem

A dedicated air bombardment has begun on Naem's cities and other strategic targets, such as factories and bridges. After a massive troop buildup and transport of war materials into Polijarny, the South Hold Air Force has mobilized. The army has been stationed alongside the Polijarnians on the border of Naem and rumors of a massive assault are circulating. South Holdian Armour is now being moved into Polijarny into positions to defend against expected Naemian probing assaults.

Naval Force Mobilization

Another of the South Hold Navy's carrier groups has been mobilized to the Naemian coast to support combat operations against Naem. With the entrance of the Polijarnians into the war, our boys have someone to support them. Also, Campanian officials have begun to mobilize their Navy in our support. They have officially declared war on Naem and are beginning to take a war footing.
