The trial of serial murderer Korey Haslinger is underway in the city of Cottland, just north of the capital of the province of West Maraque.

Korey Haslinger is accused of the rape and murder of 13 woman, including two children ages 11 and 16. Cottland police say they have DNA evidence that link him to the scenes of all the crimes, and that they are 99.99% certain he is guilty.

Korey Haslinger previously served a two-year prison sentence for drug posession before they were legalized last year. He also has a wide history of sexual assault charges, as well as robbery, the latter of which he was found innnocent.

The trial will begin and be televised internationally at 3:00N SMT. Judge Arlen Lobach will preside.

[OOC: Okay we need someone to play Mr. Haslinger, his lawyer, the other lawyer, some jurors, and a judge. I'll be one juror.]

Well, of course. Just trying to decide on the best defense, and on how he'll act. After all, an insanity defense is hard to work with when the defendant is a nice and personable man, while the "I didn't do it" approach doesn't work with the cold and evil personality (along with a healthy dose of evidence).

I am assuming one of the lady's he violated escaped from death, and thus his trial. If so, can I be that woman/girl? It should be a lot of fun...

The defense needs an assistant attorney, I can't be that person though. But, I'll be one of the detectives. We need to get the rp rolling.

Well tradition has it, that the State gets the opening statements, so I belive the prosocution should go first.
