The leader of the new nation Albu-Querque makes a speech
Albu-querque

The newly formed State of Albu-Querque has decided to propagate the ideals of Socialism, but oppose all comparisons to the filthy party Joseph Stalin turned Communism in to; Stalinism. The leader of Albu-Querque, keeping in mind “social equality,” has started a new line of reforms:
Kurt Yager, chosen leader and master-mind behind the success of the State, stated these in his speech about the new changes:
“Faith has spilled the blood of too many men, women, and children for too long. From this day, all must adopt the State’s religion, or face expulsion. This will ensure a safer, more humane, way of life and end the violence in Albu-Querque.”
“Capitalism has corrupted our economy for too long. No longer will the capitalist pigs gorge themselves on the hard earned money of the working man; unless, of course, they hand over their power and allow modifications that would reward hard work, guarantee a certain basic standard of living, and extend economic and cultural opportunities to all.”
“To ensure economic security, workers’ councils will be applied throught Albu-Querque. No bosses, managers, CEOs, etc, will have the chance to become corrupt and run the business into turmoil. Deligates may be appointed for each council, and will meet to debate the best possible way for success. But if the council members agree that their deligate does not have their best interests in mine, an impeachment may be voted on.”
As a closing statement, Mr. Yager stated a “warning” to all critics:
“I will not allow a single black cloud to vex the skies of my homeland, or the skies of any nation that wants to see nothing but the clear, blue, ceaselessness of the heavens.”
Rosdivan

The Commonwealth of Rosdivan condemns this violation of the rights of men, and demands that private property be restored to those who have had it taken from them, and that the people of Albu-querque be allowed to worship according to the confines of their conscience.

Maraque, I have from a reliable source that you are not to be taken lightly and I regret to inform you I have to fefuse your offer of alliance.
- Egon berger-Waldenegg, Foreign Minister
IC:
What on Earth could this "reliable source" have said to make you believe we're not to be taken lightly? We're a peaceful and neutral nation and haven't done anything that should warrant such actions.
Signed,
Emperor Stephen D. Norris

We do not agree with your type of government. Freedom IS a must. Yes, Demanci is a monarchy. But His Majesty, King Christopher IV, grants freedom of religon and citizens remain unopresed. But if your idealism changes, we might consider better relations with you.
Signed;
King Christopher IV

We understand your concerns with freedom, Demanci, but as you said you are a monarchy. You do not give your citizens the freedom of elections. Religion is only a fraction of "true" freedom.

The Federation of Tombo-Bill understands the civic choices Albu-querque has chosen. Tombo-Bill, being socialist, will tolerate what you are doing and undrstands why you would seek to force the civilian population to adopt a national religion. Many wars have started through divisions in faith and we are glad you did not turn to compulsory athiesm (as it lowers morale). The nation of Tombo-Bill believes in free speech and free religion, but by the people's choice we are gladly socialist and uphold the working class. I hope we will speak further in the future for we seek to open diplomatic relations with you.
Modnoth does not approve of the Government of Albu-Querque's decision to limit and abridge the natural right of its citizens to worship as they please, nor do we approve of the senseless confiscation of personal property in oreder to affect a false national standard of living. Mondoth therefore will accept any current citizens of Albu-Querque under the Religious Refugee Act as full citizens with initial allowances from the government for housing and necesities. Any attempt by the Albu-Querque government to restrict any citizen wishing to take advantage of the Religious Refugee Act will not be considered kindly by this government.

The Commonwealth of Caravale responds via articles in it newspapers. The following is from the Caravale Chronicle:
In an official response to the recent speech given by the premier of the recently-formed Albu-Querque, in which both capitalism and freedom of religion were suspended based upon reasons of morality, Councilman Karkarov gave a somewhat mixed reaction, citing the move as 'morally sound', yet 'oppressive and unfair as far as a system of government is concerned.' What follows is a short excerpt:
"As a nation, Caravale cherishes the rights ofthe individualto control his or her own life to be of the utmost importance. Although we in the Council recognize the moral goals of this new direction, we feel we must condemn the infringement upon the people's right to choose, something we feel to be an affront to liberty and personal freedom. For now, Caravale will seek no diplomatic relations with Albu-Querque, and will urge any similar-minded nations to do the same."

To Mondoth:
We will not attempt to prevent our citizens from leaving under the Religious Refugee Act, and are glad that they will be taken care of. We do not condemn them for accepting help from another nation, but hope they will be able to rebuild and live a prosperous life. Our intensions were merely to prevent the future bloodshed of constant battles of faith.

The Federation of Tombo-Bill wishes to build an embassy in your capital city. We will pay for it completely ourselves and just ask for reasonable land space. We will be bringing troops to defend our embassy and will use these troops if need be to quell civil uprising and the sort if asked. We await a reply.

To Tombo-Bill:
Im sure it will be a marvalous building, so by all means, let the building commence. Also, I will be happy to provide housing for the troops you send for their services to both our nations.
Skibereen
07-05-2006, 21:01
The Armed Republic of Skibereen being a Democratic,
Condemns the moral implications behind the actions of the government of Albu-querque.
However, it is held to be no less important that a nation's sovereign right to self rule be defended, inspite of the individual.
To this we will support the Mondoth Religious Refugee Act, and given the nation of Skibereen maintains open borders with no legal right of exclusion or of extradition citizens of any nation are welcomed.
As well given the fledging status of the nation of Albu-querque, Skibereen will take up arms against such paper tigers as the nations of the likes of the Commonwealth of Rosdivan who rattle their sabre at the internal actions of a nation that did not threaten a single life.
Sovereignty must be assured.
Sincerely
Acting President Gen. O'Donnel retired

Let it be known that Errikland does not support these actions you take. However, Errikland does recognize that the management of your people is your business, not ours. Thus, as assimilation is not an issue due to the similarites between our peoples linguistically and ethnically, we offer to take in all of your devout Christians and Orthodox Jews.

A press conference was given earlier today in the capital of Albu-querque involving the recent issues.
Kurt Yager: "Recently, conflicts have made themselves known about the actions our nation have taken to ensure peace. To all those who have denied to adopt the State's realigion, and have not heard the offers given by other nations, allow me to inform you. Both Mondoth and Skibereen are accepting refugees in their new Religious Refugee Act. Also, an ally of ours Errikland, are accepting devout Christians and Orthodox Jews. We will allow all those who wish to leave peacefuly."

These things are very acceptable and I will provide the best, available, architects. If need be, I will also provide security officers, but I'm sure there wont be any trouble; especially with 250 of yours. As a security procaution though, we will need to register those weapons. For the first week or so, I can provide food or other provisionals so that your workers can settle into my nation.
If anything else is required, please feel free to let me know and I will see what I can do.
OCC: Do you want those Tombo dollars converted for easy spending?
