Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Howard Billfold and I am a credentialed member of the Commonwealth of Northern Lake States. I have come here today, to ask that fellow members of the United Nations recognized the Commonwealth of Northern Lake States as a legitimate, independent and free nation state.
Our great nation consists of the former Great Lake states and provinces of the United States and Canada. Because of serious ideological and disputed about water rights, it was our decision to leave the Union and Canada and form our own nation.
The United States claoms we are a "rouge nation", and should not receive recognition from this august body. But I would beg this body to indulge me for a miniute, despite what my esteemed opponrts from the United States may say.
The fact of the matter, Ladies and Gentleman, is that the United States has seriously went wrong and begun to repudiate the princples the forefathers formed the United States on. We are a noble people who would rather die then live in fear of our government; we'd rather live free or die trying. So when the Congress renewed the Patriot Act, it was the lost straw that brokle the camel's back.
In addition, as the owners of the largest body of fresh water in the world, we were concerned with communities in the West siphoning off our lakes for them to make futile attempts to grown grass for their homes in the desert!
An independent and free Commonwealth, secure in it's borders will only cause stability in the region. To continue denying a de facto situation will only encourage possible hostilities on both sides. Be assured thast the Commonwealth has equipped itself with the necessary armanents that if our nation is attacked, we will use.
Let us end this needless waste of time, material and men. Let the U.n recognize the Commonwealth of Northern Lake States as a legitimate nation, and let us help the United States except this as well, which will secure peace and prosperity for both nations.
