IC:
Belgrade, Austria-Hungary:
Captain Andras Janos ducked as another bottle flew from the crowd into the lines of newly arrived soldiers. The crowd had not faced loss, and wanted revenge for their defeat. Janos had never experienced combat before, having watched over the Romanian border during the War, but many of his soldiers had fought. Another bottle flew from the crowd and hit a soldier in the face, who fell to the ground. "Fire!", shouted Captain Janos. The soldiers fired a volley into the crowd, then another. The crowd surged forward, then broke and began to retreat. The soldiers began advancing, arresting stragglers, and finishing off badly wounded rioters. The so called Belgrade commune had been set up a week after the wars end, and the fighting continued. The Austro-Hungarian soliders continued to push into the city, advancing on barraceds and dispersing the crowds with volleys of fire. They finally came against a barricade manned by members of the commune, armed with guns. The fighting dragged on into the night, and a pair of armored cars came into the street. One was destroyed by "Karadordevic Cocktails" (instead of Molotovs, they signify the King of Serbia surrendering), but the other opened fire on the barricades. After 15 minutes of bloody fighting, the barricades were cleared.
The Austro-Hungarian government declared martial law in the former nations of Serbia and Montenegro. 500,000 soldiers were sent to quell the resistance
