Official annoucement:

By use of a telescope know only as the DCS2145 our top scientists have found a solar system so much like earths that a manned mission will be taking place in the near future This mission will to search the solar system for and habital planets and bring back the information. If a planet is found that is habital colonization will begin right away. The time it will take to get to this sun and back will be 20 years ship time and 60 years slow time. any volenteer nations wishing to send independant scientists will pay an up front sum of 250million per person and an extra 50million for every additional personel not from the OAC. When they return their friends and family will most likly be dead so be all scientists or adventurers need to be prepared. There will be only one landing on the planet (if a habital one is found) and it is an extra 200million for any nations scientist to be on the orbiter. when the orbiter lands there will be a 2 day excursion to collect samples and then they will return to the ship. If for some reason any nations scientists are not on the ship in time they will be left behind. That is all if you wish to sign up send the high command a telegram and they will set up the details.

OOC: if you want to take part in this please send me a telegram and when the mission comes back (about 3 days) I will have the information from your scientists waiting (if there is a planet).

Pythogria must suggest this not go through. Unless it produces food... you're dead. And the people would die en route anyway...

Premission to bring another ship denied. I regret to inform you that We will only allow one ship to go to this solar system we cannot have "freelancers" as they only add to complications. Plok will go with his crew on our ship or not at all. also you failed to say if he was to go on the landing which would add to the total cost.

After a long think break, Plok decides agree to whatever demands the space program has of him. However, his sidekick wants to come also. The Holy Empire of Baabbixia has decided to supply rations and a sniper rifle, just in case.

We are aware of this, but the rewords far out weigh the risks. this is not to leave your ears but we are not only sending scientists we are also sending how shall we put it... unwanted extra personel AKA refugees from the aborted station. also All but a roatating skeleton crew will spend the majority of the trip in cold storage. So should the trip go amiss we are out nothing but a space ship and a few unneeded people. (we say unneeded becuase they are to weak from sickness to work and thus useless)

Still, cold storage? You got that to work? Really? Could we purchase this?

OOC: How did you hget that to work? (I'm in 2015, BTW, so if it will work by then, you can sell it to me.)

Ah yes we stumbled onto it during a minning expedition an explosion let loose a mixture of gasses that when mixed with the cold of deep space minning killed the miners. but our scientist found a way to slow the process and keep people alive for long periods of time in a sleep like state.

OOC: the basic idea behind cold storage is that you use drugs and a "cold" temperature to slow the bodys metabolism to a crawl a forced hibernation so to speak. The drugs slow the blood flow evenally over time so the body gets used to less and less blood flow untill it slows to a near stop. yeah so I think if you have the right drugs you can use cold storage although there are risks involved so dont be surprised if you lose some people before you perfect it.
