Yes its true an excentric billionaire and a few large nations have helped to build a new branch for humanity. If your wondering how we stay alive I shall explain we harvest comets for water and minerals by pulling them from the near by oort cloud we have an almost limitless supply of water. We brought stock cattle and vegetables that we grow in a hydroponics fashion. Our live stock are cloned from the originals we brought here gravity is maintained by a black hole at the center of every colony asteroid using two black holes in an electromagnetic catch we can control gravity and bring it to Earth standard. As you can imagine this take quite a lot of fuel so most of the time, gravity is not on. When it is turned off the black hole destroys itself in a shielded area. Energy is taken from controlled black holes as wel we use the immense gravity to turn turbines and power our stations.

Ah yes of course the project began in 2010 but the first ships arived in 2015 and we took control of The largest asteroid we could find we named it Alpha major. The first few years were tough we had to strugle to get by and democray wasent working so then I Though millitary coup took over with my closest friends and became leader of The Colony. we met little resistance and only a few died in the small skirmish and my rise to power. we then broke away from earth and havent had contact in 5 years. But a plague swept our stations (now 3) and killed many people so we have decided to invite more nations to our home. We have no defences Per say but in a time of great need we can Destroy one of our colonys and let loose a black hole that would destroy the solar system in a matter of minutes. The first nations to build this complex wish to be left unnamed They still reside on earth and after word of the break away they want nothing to do with us. Oh dear I forgot our location we orbit the sun in the outer reaches of its gravity well we are almost in the Oort cloud which we use for almost everything we need.

Perhaps we could initiate a space program together to reduce individual costs?

Okay, I'm gonna give you some OOC advice here:

First off, congratulations on getting an original idea and not using the smilies. You've crossed the first hurdle of respectability here on NS. Some other things to do are thus:

1) Read the stickied threads at the top of the forum. They're the ones with the padlock symbol; I cannot emphasise this enough

2) Spelling. Yes, I know, it's an internet forum etc. When RPing, however, spelling is key. Try and make it as decent as possible, including correct capitalisation

3) General RPing skills. You've got a good idea. Try and use characters, offical messages like the one I used, speak from the viewpoint of a single character - use 'I', 'We' and the such, speak officially.

Hope that helps old chap. Incorporate those ideas, watch others RP, and you should have a bright future here.

We wish we could but you see after the plague we lost a whole Station and we have just barely survived A Program to share reasources would be Good but at this time we have to much to worry about to start a program. we have few working ships and those must be used for comet collection so at this time I must say no but in the near future this could be a possiblity and we will remeber you for your generoisty in out time of need.

I must leave now one of our power generators has broken down and I must over see its repairs. Not to worry Its only a minor generator for a small water purification plant but we do need to keep it up and running so farewell for now.
