I did notice that all of these countries did infact have similiar writing styles and very similiar intro posts. I'm sorry if these nations are owned by different people and my statement was taken offensively in any way, but that is an observation I made.

ooc: It doesn't this is a practice refferred to as "Puppet Whoring". When only one puppet is concerned it can be somewhat justified as a nation selling it's colony, but in these amounts, it's just a lame attempt to durm up IC funds for his latest superweapon.

Say I expected other bidders to stop at a certain amount, which we will call x. Now, then I would logically bid at x+1 so as not to waste anything. However, if I wanted the family as well, I could throw in a little extra for them, that amount being y. That would make my bid x+y+1 rather than x+1. Assuming y is a positive number, it means more profit to you.
