History of Dongara:[/B]

The Kingdom of Dongara was formed by the Dongarian invasion of nearby Mazozwe, Auronland, and Kelimter in it's history. The Kingdom of Dongara was a feudal state ruled by the Tamrika family, an absolute monarchy. It was also theocratic, with all persons of the Kingdom of Dongara forced to conform the Dongarian Imperial Church, a Pagan Church. Under Royal Decree, religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Atheism, and etc. were banned under penalty of Death. Concepts such as Homosexuality, Gender Equality, and Humanism was vigorously persecuted. The greatest example of this was Dongarian Inquisition, in which the Kingdom of Dongara instituted a hunt for homosexuals, non-Pagans, Athiest, Agnostics, and the intelligentsia. Another example of Devan the Terrible, who crucified every member of the Jesuits found in Dongara. The Kingdom of Dongara ruled for 75 years until just a few years ago, until they were overthrown by the military, who's General Aisin Jin removed them in a coup. He was backed by the military, Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews, Muslims, Homosexuals, and many workers. His newly formed People's Liberty Army tangled with the very small Imperial Guard, which was obviously crushed due to it's small size. Despite that, they still call it a "Revolution." The first schools and hospitals were established under the tutelage of Premier Aisin Jin, who was elected by the Federal People's Congress. The delegates in the Federal People's Congress was elected in the first elections in Dongarian history.

General Aisin Jin resigned his military commisioned, and was reelected 964-7 by the National People's Congress. Under his tutelege, the People's Republic of Dongara created it's Bill of Rights.

1. The People of Dongara are entitled to Free Speech.

2. The People of Dongara are entitled to a timely trial.

3. The People of Dongara shall not be discriminated against because of their race.

4. The People of Dongara shall not be discriminated against because of their religion.

5. The People of Dongara shall not be discriminated against because of their sexual orientation.

6. The People of Dongara shall not have their freedom impinged upon.

The People's Republic of Dongara quickly established a Market Economy based upon Free Trade and somewhat of consumerism. In addition, Dongara had it's first "private property". Land that was not owned by Lords, but land that was owned by people. The People's Republic of Dongara is also known for it's almost total absence of Social Welfare, and it's compulsary military service. About 1-2.5% (fluctuates) of it's people are in the military, and it's people are devotated to private firearm ownership. In addition, Dongarian schools now teach Basic Training.

The People's Republic of Dongara is an economic powerhouse that has undergone rapid industrialization. However, there were severe prices, most notably in the Environment. Though Political Freedoms are heavily restricted in the People's Republic of Dongara, the Government has recently undertaken the Thousand Flowers Campaign, a campaign adamant of liberalizing the Political atmosphere.

Politics of Dongara:

The Federal People's Congress acts as Dongara's leglislative body, while the Politburo Standing Committee acts as a main body for decisions. The Politburo is appointed by the Central Committee, which is appointed by the Federal People's Congress. The Premier is usually the leader of the Politburo, but not always.

Geography of Dongara:

Dongara consists primarily of the northern side of the funnel-shaped Dongarian Craton, a large area of highly tiled and overlaid Precambrian rocks.

Although no part of Dongara was glaciated during the Quaternary, the surface geology of most of the lower-lying and more fertile parts of the region consists of extremely deep layers of loess. Dongara is rather diverse, sharing urban areas, mountanious terrain, hills, marshes, swamps, but little meadows or plains.

The climate of Dongara has extreme seasonal contrasts, ranging from humid, almost tropical heat in the summer to windy, dry, Arctic cold in the winter.

In summer, when the land heats up faster than the ocean, low pressure forms and warm, moist south to southeasterly winds bring heavy, thundery rain, yielding annual rainfalls ranging from 400 millimetres (16 inches), or less in the west, to over 1150 millimetres (45 inches) in the Changbai Mountains. Temperatures in the summer are very warm to hot, with July averages ranging from 31°C (88°F) in the south to 24°C (75°F) in the extreme north. Except in the far north near the Amur River, high humidity causes major discomfort at this time of year.

In the winter, however, the vast anticyclone causes very cold, north to northwesterly winds that bring temperatures as low as −5°C (23°F) in the extreme south and −30°C (-22°F) in the north, where the zone of discontinuous permafrost reaches northern Dongara. However, because the winds are often dry, snow does not fall excessively every winter and it is only sometimes heavy.
