"...and that's why public urination is illegal near dog pounds.

In other news, the Peace Force has put a request before the Star Chamber and Council of Princes to increase border security. The plan calls for a pair of 8 meter high walls with a 'no man's land' between them, defended by guard animals, sentry guns and a dense mine field. The plan submitted is estimated to cost approximately two trillion nuyen, over a period of five years. If approved by the Princes, construction will begin immediately."

"Hey, Derek, is that a celenit?"

Turning, Derek ke'Reth'im brought up his binoculars, magnifying the form of the Leocardian civilian as he crossed the border. Smiling, Derek brought up his hunting rifle.

"Let's have some fun with this morkhan, shall we?"

The first shot caught the target in the leg, spinning him around and knocking him to the ground. Jumping on their bikes, the teens of the Mistish Farad flew towards their prey, screeching to a halt in a circle around him, spraying the injured man with rocks. Rifles at their shoulders, the leering Reth stared at the Leocardian, eyes full of contempt.

"So, Derek, you want to just pump him full of laeth and throw him back over the border?"

"Nah, where's the fun in that? The Se'ranshae Elenva gave us carte blanche for dealing with Versakhan, and hey, what's a celenit like this if not a Versakhan? Let's have some fun with this one."

Pulling a switchblade from his pocket, Derek flicked it open with a grin. Pulling the man's head up, he grinned into his eyes.

"Hear that, tech'makkanagee morkhan? You're gonna scream real nice before we're done with you..."

"...sparking extreme controversy due to the Dangler's place on the endangered species list.

After the much publicised apprehension and execution of a foreign agent attempting to enter the Tir illegally by a Mistish Farad patrol, the Star Chamber has approved the Peace Force's request to strengthen border security. High Prince Lugh Surehand stated in a rare interview that this proposal will protect the Tir and her Citizens from further attempts to overthrow the government from within.

Meanwhile, the Mistish Farad patrol, lead by local teenager Derek ke'Reth'im, will be awarded with status as honorary Paladins of the Prince by Lugh Surehand himself. The ceremony is scheduled to take place this weekend. The capitol is gearing up for the festivities, with hundreds of volunteers helping out..."

You may be in need of some help defending your border. Soldiers cannot do it alone. May I recommend Geneticon Armed Forces Engineering (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=479386). You should be able to find many things of interest there that will help you protect your border.

OOC: Someone tell him the basics about Godmodding and letting the other person post his own losses or injuries in this case, I'm too tired to say anything but "Stickies!".

If it deals with the topic at hand (which it certainly does...) then I have every right to post it. It's not spam... it's helping him out. Tell me exactly how someone could lock down a border without the equipment to do so?

Manufacturing weapons/equipment. Like my country did.
BTW, I didn't say it was spam, I said it was plugging.

OOC: True... but he would have to RP it then. This makes it a heck of a lot easier on him.

No hard feelings. I see what you're saying.

OOC: Sorry for cluttering this thread any further with this rather unneeded OutOfCharactering, but I must defend my previous words. I'm rather surprised for this question of yours, Chronosia. He said:

It's just as much Godmodding as it is to say "My tank fired and your tank exploded", or even that "My nuke was dropped to your city and 5,000,000 of your people are now dead".
What he's doing here is very nice, good for (so I assume) a first thread and starting, np. But this just isn't how RP should be done in NS. You can say what your character does, but not what happens to your enemy. Or do you disagree?

OOC: Yes, that's the reason exactly. It is somewhat entertaining, only problem beeing the godmodding. It would have been unfair to not tell it to him now, but wait until he does it in some even more entertaining yet also more important post, like major war or something. No?

I think the author knows quite well what he is doing, you see this is a puppet.

Anyway what's godmodding? it would only have been godmodding if the intruder's player had somehow dodged the shot, yeah sure he was denied the chance but he godmodded to even get his civilian there as i don't think he actually has a land border with TirTairngire.

While against the general rules it isn't agains the spirit of an RP, i suppose in a way you coudl consider it a fancy version of "IGNORED".

OOC: That and it's an unarmed civilian. I doubt a rather heavily-armed go-gang would have much of a problem with one unarmed man. Or if they did, there's something seriously wrong here.

Anyway, I'm honored that I've had so much reaction to my first real thread.

The aforementioned really big wall (tm) with land mines, sentry guns, and hungry paranimals?

"...bringing the death toll from chronic flatulence to fifty-three.

Following up on a story begun three years ago, the massive construction project along the Tir's border is nearly complete, with both massive eight meter walls completely constructed. All that remains is the installation of portions of the sentry gun system and the No Man's Land defensive network, along with several gates. The Peace Force is currently stationing extra patrols at these locations until work is finished. The project is currently two years ahead of schedule, a feat that High Prince Lugh Surehand called 'an inspiration to all raƩn.' The project should be completed entirely within two months."
