Notarasia

After 1453 in which Constantinople fell, the Megas Doux of Byzantium, Lucas Notaras known for his statement (which he is said to have said) "I would rather see a Muslim turban in the midst of the City (ie, Constantinople) than the Latin miter'' fled with his wife and his children. His son in law, reported son of the Grand Domestic Andronicus Cantacuzenus also fled with him. Also, it is said that the only child of Constantine XI, a daughter named Magdalena fled with them. They fled to a land that were filled with many resources and the such, a bountiful land. The Notaras family and the many refugees settled the lands and later conquered them. Lucas was declared ''Emperor Lucas I'' of the ''New Byzantine State''. His nation known as ''Notarasia'' is now led by Emperor Lucas the 35th (may change).
Emperor Lucas lived in New Constantinople, in the Court of Christ Chronocrator (Gr.Χρονοκράτωρ) ("Lord of All Time") with his wife, Anna (the name of Lucas Notaras/ Emperor Lucas (I)' daughter, Anna Notaras) and his 4 children. He had 3 daughters, Anastasia, Helena and Theodora and one son, Prince Constantine, after Constantine XI, his old comrade and Emperor.
The state religion was Orthodox Christianity, this was the religion held by the Notarasians. The Notarasians spoke a dialect of Byzantine Greek and kept some of the traditional Byzantine ways.
If anyone wants diplomatic relations, I'd be happy to discuss some.
