Hello, I'm relatively new to nationstates (I've read some rps but never participated in one), and am looking for a quick, simple modern tech war. Since I'd probably get slaughtered in a day by most nations, I'm just looking for a war with another newbie nation. Here are a few guidelines:
-Population: Under 500 Million
-Posts: Under 100
-Good etiquette (Good spelling, not a thousand smiley faces, not in all caps, etc.)

As for the war:
-A 2 nation, 1-on-1 war (no bringing your friends)
-1 to 2 Weeks Long (1 Real Day = 1 Game Week)
-Just over something small (a little bit of land, some rich mines, oil wells, etc.)
-No complete conquering (No matter how much you're winning!)
-No WMD (Biological, Chemical, or Nuclear)
-No insanely huge armies (from what I've read, about 3% of your pop is a good sized army)

Sorry to be a rule-nazi, but I can see why newbies aren't exactly loved around here. They leave short posts in all caps and filled with smiley faces and think their nations are all that. I'm just trying to help me and another intelligent newbie get started around her.

Heh. Well, as I'm one of those nations that would slaughter you, I'm disqualified. But you look promising. When you're ready to RP with larger nations, look me up.

Well, we could have a small skirmish. I promise I won't just overwhelm you with orbital weapons and immense armies.

I could fight a little war with you. I have a pop of 440 million but I've just been doing the basic NS stuff and have rarely been on the forums. I'm new to this stuff but I could learn fast.

OOC: Two rules you should get rid of right now: the posts and the time. Post count means nothing on this forum except experience (and sometimes overt spamming), and people who have experience prove more challenging and will help you out since you're new. Etiquitte more or less solves the spamming issue.

About the time: People do have RL to deal with, so setting a specific time usually isn't a good idea. Thanks to fluid time, you can have as much time as you want pass in the RP, regardless of RL time.

Also, I suggest you specify you don't want n00bs, but newbs. Newbs around here are people like you: smart, use proper grammar, and have a willingness to learn. N00bs on the other hand... Nevermind. *shudders*

Other than that, have a great time here at NS and enjoy your RPing experience! :) When you're ready to take on or ally with bigger nations, look me up.

To Appalacians - (Sorry, I was typing when you posted) You might want to wait a while to start a war (10 million people = a super small army). But then, I'd be glad to hook up with you.

My favorite type of RPing is sort of zooming in on the smaller picture. The basic tactics, the dirty, gritty part of the story.

A skirmish over some resource would have been just my thing. Poo.
