Press conference from the Mondothian Aerospace Administration
In Conjunction with Mondoth Aerial Mapping and Sattelite Co. and Shrak Aeronautics

Not long ago, This Country recieved a devastating blow to it's orbital initiatives when Naveiran terrorists struck the Mondoth Aerial Mapping and Sattelite Co. Headquarters building, one of the primary investors and beneficiaries in Mondoth's Orbital Sattelite network. Since tha day, Modnoth's sattelite networks, including communication and meteorolgical sattelites, have laguished. The attack destroyed vital equipment and computer systems necesary for the operation and maintenance of these sattelite networks and due to funding problems assosciated with the resulting Naveiran War, these essential links were never fully reestablished.

Recently however, the end to the Naveiran Insurgency and increased funding from foreign contracts has allowed the Mondothian Aerospace administration to completely restructure our orbital assets. Over the past year, we have been designing and constructin new sattelites with even more capabilities that we hope will revolutionize the Meteorology and Communications industries. The new sattelites will have a much increased bandwidth and life-span for a lower cost than the original networks. To avoid littering the sky with our old and nonfunctioning sattelites, we will be forcibl de-orbiting them as their replacements take to the skies. Unfortunately, we do not have suitable control of all of the now defunct sattelites to command them to de-orbit and a small number of unmanned maneuvering sattelites will be need to force these sattelites to de-orbit.

All sattelites will burn up int he atmosphere without danger to people or the environment. Prior warning will be given to all interested parties before each de-orbitting to avoid unintentional alarm.
I will now take any questions.

OOC: of course, we will be restructuring our spy-sattelite networks as well. but one thing that migh not be obvious, is that de-orbiting the older sattelites will be used as a distraction for deploying some Orbital weapons (all non nuclear) which will be disguised as the maneuvering sattelites that will be used to de-orbit the old sattelites. Of course, that part is secret, but feel free to have any newspersons you have present ask about the possibilities anyway, or anything else having o do with our new sats.

"We encourage the exploration of the void in which we call 'Space' though we do not condone the use of a satellite or any other kind if Space vehicle and or high flying aero-space plane within Sparta Infensus'es confines and will be shot down upon entering our air-space. We can though; sell you our low cost, low maintinance KH-6 Mk.02 'Vagabond' series orbital oberservation/spy satellite. To replace the de-orbiting and aging current ones."

This E-Mail was sent with the information of the de-orbitition of thier satellites. It was sent over a 512 bit encrpyed VPN tunnel.

We will salvage your old satellites if you allow us to. Then we will use them as scrap for our near earth asteroid factories. With permission of course.

Mondoth does not recognize the right of any nation to exclusive access to orbital space except from orbital based weapons. Shooting down any Mondothian Meteorological or TeleCommunications sattelite will not be regarded kindly. However, we will endeavor to maintain peaceful relations by endeavoring to keep our sattelites from carelessly orbitting over your nation except when necesary.

While we agree in principle with your recyling plan for our older sattelite network. We must decline to allow you salvage rights to said network. For one, we have already constructed the MS units that will be used to de-orbit the sattelites, at a not inconsiderable cost and letting that investment go to waste is not acceptable. Also, Many of the sattelites contain proprietary or confidential systems and equipment that cannot be allowed to fall into foreign hands. We hope you understand.
