OOC: Well I’ve been gone for a year. So I figure its time to come back to NS and have some fun!

Swift and silent, a huge ship drops out of slip space into a known trading lane between other races.

The ship was very strange and elegant, a large triangle a mere 100 meters thick and 12km long , perfectly smooth with 6 bright running lights illuminating the whole vessel. In the center was a symbol that only those who knew who the ECF was would know what type of ship it was. A huge battleship, yet it was on a peaceful mission.

It had been 50 years since the Great War between the ECF and the now defunct Reptilian Empire. Since then the great Empire had spent its time rebuilding and advancing their own technology. It's fleet and army has nearly tripled in size.

But this was no mission of war; it was a mission of peace. To reestablish contacts and diplomatic ties with anyone willing to do so.

“Send out a greetings transmission, lets see if we can get some contacts”

“Yes Sir”

Transmission: We of the ECF are waiting for any ships of any nations willing to open contacts with the empire. There’s a very high chance you do not know who we are. But we are not aggressive; we wish to make peaceful contacts.

OOC: Welcome back-even though I haven't had previous contact.

IC:
An escort convoy plied the space lanes, pulling out of the swirling blue realm of hyperspace back into realspace, where the normal subspace engines burned yellow again, the frigates and cruisers escorting the trading convoy pulling into defensive positions in case hungry pirates-which always tried to take advantage of "helpless" freighters-were lurking. However, instead of pirates, the Dominion warships were greeted by another arrival-the comm transmission of some "ECF" attempting to negotiate communication, or negotiation, with anyone avaliable. Another new race, or something different? Either way, the Dominion had had no previous contact with any ECF...it didn't match anything from the Miehmish, Chronosians, Casseopians, Spit Breakans...anything.
No race to be tricked by decieving thugs, a squad of fighters and three gunships dispatched from the lead frigate, initiating a light CAP as the frigate attempted to send back a responding transmission to the unknown contact.

Attention unknown vessel. This is the Amazonian Dominion frigate Nebula, we have no "ECF" on our database of known, friendly, or hostile races.

OOC: Aye, same here. Welcome back.

The message came through to the comm center on New Cravan.

"Check the database."
"Yes, sir."

For a world that had been in isolation for the past two-hundred years, Cravan had surprisingly accurate records. However, nothing came up.

"Nothing, sir."
"Well... Prepare a return communique."
"Yes, sir."

The Democratic Empire of Cravan has no previous records of your existence, but we actually are interested in opening diplomatic relations with your people. Please name the time and place, and we shall send a representative.

The Captain Ordered simply opened a channel.

“The ECF was once a major power in this universe that you call home. Many years ago, we were nearly destroyed by an unknown power. We fought back and destroyed our enemies and every trace of them. Now we have returned. For 200 years, no one has known of our existence. Have you not noticed that the majority of ships to enter our space have never returned? The ECF is not an aggressive power, but we are prepared to defend ourselves. “End Transmission

The captain smiled “Drop the sensor scramblers around main engineering and bring the reactor to 40%”

The power outputs in the Quantum Reactor begun to rise, the ECF was no baby power. They had been in space for 1000's of years; they were a force not to be underestimated with.

The crew knew dam well that they could easily destroy a whole planet with the push of a button.

But that was no longer the way of the ECF.

“I invite you to come aboard and establish diplomatic ties. I'm sure if you are allied with the GE or Xmessthia you would be able to find information on us, do you know if any of those powers are still around? What about Core worlds, the sith? I invite you to the diplomatic table.

Oh yes, call off those ships of yours, I'd hate to destroy them if they do anything stupid. We are not aggressive in anyway at all"

The captain saw the incoming transmission on his screen and ordered it analyzed.

“Sir, it doesn’t match any known records. And with all do respect, I highly doubt we match of theirs either. But since none of us have ever delta with these people, nor have we delta with anyone. Everyone knows was allied with these people died 200 years ago. I suggest we have the FCC Night runner un-cloak and head for the source of that transmission, I'm sure she can take care of herself. Sir”

The captain thought for a few minutes and finally figured out what to do. “Well, I don’t like sending a cruiser out by it. Mmmmmm fuck it, have her un-cloak and head for the source. Order her to run yellow, running lights on. Use the Slip drive, and when you run into their territory, switch to warp drive so we don’t freak them out. "

The FCC (Federal Capital Ship) Night runner un-cloaked right next to its much larger sister ship. Engaged its Slip drive and shot past the other ships in the area, on its way to the source”

Transmission: We are sending a cruiser to the source of your transmission. Be prepared to see the ship. It will be arriving in 20 minutes. And will not be aggressive.

OOC: A few things about these ships, they don’t look like anything else you’ll see. I’ll make a DOGA one day lol. They’re both perfectly flat, and no more than 100 meters thick. The entire ship expect small engines on the back is covered in a huge Q emitter. Its really a strange sight.
