I don't know if this has been done yet, but I just wanted to see how people would play out... THE APOCALYPSE! :eek: So implies the title. And this thread is available to everyone, so please join if you're the slightest bit interested :( . (I have other threads that people hardly post on) Anyway, on with the plot.

The year is 2200, mankind has for years been in wars and nearly brought to extinction in many cases. Thanks to scientific advancements, mankind has been able to keep the earth from becoming a barren wasteland. But the melting of the polar ice caps, due to global warming, has caused the landmass to shrink a great deal, leading to wars over land and resources. Some have tried to restore the peace over the feudal nations arissen from the chaos, but all attempts have been in vain... But now, a man has arisen. A man with vision and a burning desire to lead his kind to glory. He wishes to see man be rebuilt into a unified global empire and under his reign. However, some wonder just what his purpose on this Earth may really be...

For you genius's, that was the anti-christ :p . I'm being neutral on his (Of course it could even be a woman if you want, it depends on who wishes to be the Anti-Christ really) nationality, it can be whatever you want it to be. Here are your character options:

We have been stockpiling military weaponry ever since and recruit only the strongest and most faithful of humanity. Vox Manus has a program called The Paladins in which we use a combination of eugenics, genetic engineering, intense training, and indoctrination to create super-soldiers.

The forces of the anti-christ raided my house when i was a child killing my parents and scarring my body and especially my face so that i have to wear a mask. Vox Manus found me took me in and trained me to be a paladin i excelled so well they made me their leader.
My physical appearance is that of normal size except i am never seen out of my uniform which looks like the helghast soldiers in killzone for the playstation.

Err..... I'd say about enough to live in harsh conditions even with minimal landmass. Also one of the characters is a cyborg, so I'd say quite advanced, but not likely enough that mankind can colonize on other planets or such (I honestly think it's maybe thousands of years out of our reach)

Sorry. I guess I was pretty unclear there. Anyway, the theme is survival, from the Anti-Christ and/or Judgement, and your respective Afterlife. You just have to do your best to survive until then.

Tends to use technology to accomplish goals (such as activating heavy machinery to "accidentally" crush or vaporize target), therefore is very proficient in computer systems.

This is a sketchy outline of his past... V. sketchy.

When Cain slew Abel, the Lord asked Uriel if he knew what had occured, but Uriel, who oft liked to watch the humans, though they were fearful of him, and always from afar he had to view them would say naught, out of pity for Cain.

His love for God was great though, for in the War in Heaven he suffered none to reach the throne of the Lord, and thus covered the steps in the blood of the fallen, though he was wounded many times, not the least in his battle with Baal, of which neither could win.

However, at some point he was banished from Heaven, through some act of which none speak, and though he was allowed to retain his power and purity, he was cast out, to wander among the mortals for eternity.
