Tying Up Loose Ends [ATTN: McKagan]

HailandKill

Secretary of State Office, HailandKill

"The world right now is a fucking mess."

Allen Johnson breathed these words to himself as he sat alone in his office. He had been up very late the past few nights looking, and examining all the world situations recently with a very close eye. He knew one of them would definitely suck HailandKill in, forcing the nation he worked for to take a side. Of course Revello would make the final decision on whose side would be chosen, but Johnson could easily sway the president, and his friend, with a good amount of intelligence and knowledge. The developing situations that involved Kraven worried Johnson the most. Revello had aided Kraven openly in putting down Jagada and already a nation, Southeast Asia, contacted Revello about his actions and the future of the two countries diplomatic ties. Johnson knew that HailandKill did not really have much in the department of close allies and that all current allies, save The Macabees, needed to be re-evaluated and conferenced with. With SEA being conferenced by Revello via satellite uplink, there was one less country to worry about. Johnson's next nation on his "list" would be McKagan an ally and fellow Saharistan War Coalition member. Johnson prepared a transmission to the state department of McKagan.

Re: Discussion and Possible Conference Regarding Current Diplomatic Situation

With many insanities ravaging the world today, I have personally taken it upon myself to re-evaluate and strengthen diplomatic ties with allied nations. McKagan is high on this list, as we have had dealings with them when our nation was still young. So, I ask that myself and a ranking state department member can conference either in HailandKill or McKagan to discuss the current and future state of our diplomatic ties.

From: Kurt Cotain, McKagan Secretary of State

It is very rare that I personally reply to a letter sent to my office. However, a message from such a McKagan ally always needs proper handling.

I personally understand your resolve to build a stronger alliance. With McKagan currently being in a very bad position in terms of strategic prowless, our President is looking to do the same thing. Unfortunately, I am due for a long planed conference on economic policy in the near future. My Lieutenant, Sarah Warner will be heading the McKagan presense in the talks with your nation. Our brand new facility in Triesa has recently been opened and isn't in use at the moment. It would make the taxpayers feel a bit better if a conference was held there, but whatever you feel is necessary can be met.

Re: Conference

Where ever we may need to conference is not a problem with myself. If you have a new facility that is not being used, I would be glad to be the first person to test it out. I will leave for a flight ASAP, and all I ask is that you be ready for my arrival.

Several Hours Later

Allen Johnson was already in the air headed to McKagan. The trip seemed short to him, but that was probably because he slept through the take off and majority of the flight. The remainder of the trip would also pass by quickly to Johnson, because when he woke up he immediatly immersed himself in thought. Johnson was abruplty jerked out of thought when he felt the LeerJet touch down on the McKagan runway.

All he had to do know was to wait for the jet to stop, and the welcoming party to arrive.

The plane was escorted a short distance off the runway end of Triesa REGIONAL Airport, an almost unused airport. The terminal looked empty from the outside, but inside was buzzing with activity from the McKagan Imperial Security Agency.

"The diplomat is waiting for you in a limo downstairs in the garage, follow me." a black suited man said as he walked towards the elevator.
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 01:59
Johnson's usual entourage followed him as he followed the McKagan agent to the limo. Despite the fact that Johnson had been on hundreds of diplomatic missions he always felt like he was in hostile territory with all the usual secretive dealings of diplomatic meetings.

Johnson and a few of his own secret service followed the McKagan agent and entered the limo. Johnson waited for someone to say something to him, and the limo to go.
McKagan
30-04-2006, 03:26
Sarah Warner was sitting inside the limo as the other delegation boarded it.

"Welcome to McKagan. I'm Ms. Warner, the Representative for this little conference. Pleased to meet you."

She stretched out for a handshake.

The limo pulled out of the garage and took a series of right turns. Before long it was on a four-lane highway with only a few more cars in sight. It was the MCID's finest work of domestic infrastructure - the ability to move people without anyone noticing.

Within just a few minutes the limo had pulled into the underground parking expanse of 1511 Cobain Drive - the massive new McKagan Imperial State Department Conference Center.

Escorted from the limo, the Killian delegation was shown to its suite. A spacious array of rooms for both the ambassador and his staff was provided, along with restrooms, satellite TV and internet, and room service. Only a small portion of the rooms outer wall was actually exposed to the outside of the building, but through the miricals of understanding geometry it seemed to have a view of the whole city of Triesa.

The McKagan Central Intelligence Division had already bugged the entier compound during its construction.

Then, the man who had escorted the delegation to the suite spoke up. "When you're ready to talk, dial 5 on the phone and i'll be up to take you to the conference chamber."

Allen Johnson shook the women's hand as soon as she offer it. He replied, "It is indeed nice to meet you as well. I want to get to business as as soon as possible if that is OK."

For the remainder of the car ride Johnson and his secret service made small talk to the rest of the people in the car. Whatever they talked about was unimportant, or irrelevant to the talks that were going to occur. When the limo finally arrived at the complex, all of Johnson's entourage de-boarded and followed the lead agent. Many of the secret service agents admired the rooms they were staying in, either saying it verbally, or showing their delight in their eyes.

As the McKaganite service agent posed his statement and turned to walk away Johnson politely grabbed his shoulder and said, "That won't be neccasary, we are ready right now.

Johnson motioned for the other important figure to follow him, as he followed the agent.

30-04-2006, 03:53
The small and unimportant MISD Agent walked down the hallway and eventually towards a sloaping ramp like structure that went to a doorway. Inside the doorway was a large, circular table with a bright light shining on the middle of it. The rest of the room was almost darkly lit, with green stones about and a moist feel to the air. The few doorways were all designed to be less visually stunning, denoting that the people there would pay more attention to the room.

The general layout of the compound was one of security. There was no "central" conference chamber. Merely a layout of chambers, subchambers, and waiting rooms. It was decentrilized, allowing for multiple tasks to be carried out at once.

Waiting for Johnson in the room was Warner, sitting relaxed in a discreet corner of the room.

"So... the world truely HAS gone to hell. It's sad, really. What do you have in mind for ways we can work together on the whole atmosphere."

The conference was on.

30-04-2006, 04:07
The Secretary of State laughed at Warner's opening statement.

He replied, "Yes, I agree. The world truly has taken leave of it's senses. But the world is none of our concern; our concern is the relationship between McKagan and HailandKill. You see, I initiated this conference after Southeast Asia, initiated a conference with President Revello about certain military actions he took siding with The Kraven Corporation. I am sure you know about Southeast Asia and their policies, so that requires no further explanation. However, on the topic of The Kraven Corporation, it seems they are the central cause of the craziness in the world right now. I would like to ask you, what is your stance on them?"
McKagan
30-04-2006, 04:39
"McKagan is taking no theatre-related offensive measures against The Kraven Corporation. We're only fighting them where they initiated an engagement against McKagan. That's Leafanistan and Orezia. We're not hunting them down, just keeping them from taking over. What is your stance on The Kraven Corporation?"
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 04:49
"Frankly, and honestly, we support them fully. However we are in a war in The Golden Throne and cannot yet make a public announcement because we cannot contract war with AMF. With many of our forces occupied, an invasion of the homeland would be devastating. But I hope our stance does not interfere with our countries relations."
McKagan
30-04-2006, 04:55
"Of course it won't affect our relations, unless one side acts upon the other, of course. McKagan is only fighting Kraven where Kraven is fighting McKagan. It's a defensive war based around McKagan infrastructure."

Warner took a sip of the tea she had recently poured herself, sitting the picture near the other delegate.

"So, are you having some difficulty out of Southeast Asia?"
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 05:00
"Not yet. It is my understanding that they may not agree with HailandKill's policies towards The Kraven Corporation. I say this because after Revello's open transmission to them, we recieved a transmission from SEA asking for a video conference. Between you and me, I am expecting those ass-kissing bastards to want us to step away from relations with The Kraven Corporation and join AutoMagFreek. It will be a cold day in hell before HailandKill becomes an AMF ass kisser."
McKagan
30-04-2006, 05:05
Warner tried not to break into wild laughter, almost accomplishing her goal.

"That seems to have became a standard thing of nations with unconfident leadership to do. People think that a friendship with AMF makes them invincible. It doesn't, and I think Kraven could show that with much support. Hey, on the note of Southeast Asia, the MCID has a stockpile of authentic letters from Neo to Atne Pavelic. They're shockers. He admits that he's a fascist and is preparing to launch an offensive against The Communist Conspiracy. If you want I can get some copies of the letters made."
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 05:11
"Oh yeah? That information would be insanely helpful should problems arise in the near future. By the way, does he say what he means by communist conspiracy?"
McKagan
30-04-2006, 05:13
"He and Pavelic were just having some sort of massive rant about how communists were anal raping Jesus or something. I'm not so sure."

Warner motioned to her assistant, who discreetly walked out the door to go and get the copies of the information.
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 18:33
"Well, that is something else isn't it? I wonder if it will be important to our relations with SEA. I hope nothing negative happens, but, you know how things are in this world."

The SoS smiled at the counter-part diplomat.
McKagan
30-04-2006, 19:23
"If I were a member of the Killian policy making staff, I'd hold the information over as a trump card incase Southeast Asia starts anything in the future."
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 19:49
"Yes, indeed."

At that time an aide walked to the secretary of state and handed him a piece of paper. The secretry of state read it and his face turned red with rage.

"Motherfucker!" He yelled!
McKagan
30-04-2006, 20:03
"What is it? News from home or something?"
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 22:30
"We have just been attacked. A large enemy fleet launched cruise missiles at our port city of Mustang. Our own navy has engaged them, but they have superior number which worries me. Also, we do not know what they want. Prelimary reports say the enemy is Jagite, but we do not know what they want. I speculate they want revenge for Cadiz. But at this moment, I do not know. "
McKagan
30-04-2006, 23:07
"What exactly happened at Cadiz? I've been busy and haven't managed to keep up with alot of news."
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 23:18
"Revello helped The Kraven Corporation put down a Jagite uprising in vengance for a Jagite masscring of civilians many years ago. It seemed like a war of retribution in my eyes, but Revello insisted it wasn't. I mean, if I doubt my own president, how can I have fail in the Government?"
McKagan
30-04-2006, 23:24
"That's... bad. Do you think the Killian navy will be able to hold them off? McKagan is stretched thin as we are, too. The whole SWC needs to adopt a more isolationist attitude. I think Cavalt is trying to do that, but we have interests that are so screwed up right now it's hard to keep soldiers at home."
HailandKill

I am hoping so. We do not know how the battle may turn out right now. I am sure that HailandKill will surely be more isolationist as the war in The Golden Throne, and the new Kraven conflicts die down.
McKagan
30-04-2006, 23:37
"McKagan is becoming more modular in its defense programs. More Point-Air Defense funding has been allocated, our navy doesn't rely on one class of ship, and our submarine force is massive. After we start getting out of these conflicts we're going to turn our overseas holdings into forts. We just have to survive for a few more months."
HailandKill
30-04-2006, 23:45
Well if we survive you can guarantee our support. Our ships are well made, and are performing well as of now. It is the enemy numbers that scare me.
McKagan
30-04-2006, 23:50
"Would it help any if McKagan provided limited, discreet support in disrupting the enemy supply lines via Assault Submarines?"
HailandKill
01-05-2006, 00:13
Well, its not the supply lines, its the ships. We need the ships to be taken out, or thinned.
McKagan
01-05-2006, 01:12
"I don't think the IMN has enough assets available to go after actual ships. We could take out some freighters, but that's about it. A better question is whether or not you'll be able to return to your nation. Do you know who controls the airspace at this moment?"
HailandKill
01-05-2006, 01:49
That, too, is still up in the air. No pun intended. From recent intelligence, the enemy has superior numbers of planes.
McKagan
01-05-2006, 01:58
"Does HailandKill have any allies that can help even this out? What about the Macabees?"
HailandKill
01-05-2006, 14:57
"Does HailandKill have any allies that can help even this out? What about the Macabees?"

Definatly not. The Golden Throne is tied up with their own civil war and invasions. We are currently fighting along side them with maybe a quarter of our forces, so we as well are tied up alongside them.
McKagan
01-05-2006, 23:13
The MCID Operations Post in the basement of the building was recording each and every word in the conference chamber - not to mention the rest of the building. Upon the start of talks surrounding a possible McKagan entrance into the Hailandkill-theatre war, the MCID Director sent off a quick email to the McKagan Imperial Defense Department Complex across town.

Within 15 minutes a MIDD Official, possibly even on orders from the President, had responded to the email. Moments later, a man dressed in an all black outfit typical of the Intelligence Agent, walked into the conference chamber and handed Warner a small piece of notebook paper. She took a second or 15 to read it, and then put it down.

"It appears the President has made a decision surrounding McKagan involvement in Hailandkill. To intervene would be very costly economically, politically, and strategically. Thus, it has been decided that McKagan involvement will go only as far as to promise YOU that YOU will be kept safe on your return to the nation, if that's possible at all. While you do remain an ally of this state, it simply isn't in McKagan's best interests to over deploy our armed forces to fight somewhere else. We offer you economic and humanitarian aid - should you to request or need either."
HailandKill
02-05-2006, 01:23
The Secretary of State smiled. He knew how diplomatic wheelings and dealing were, and the outcome he had heard did not shock him.

That is not a problem. I understand how taxing it is to fight a war, and I guarantee you that HailandKill will not hold this over your heads. Besides, we haven't called for allied intervention....yet. Maybe in the future we can do battle together.
McKagan
02-05-2006, 01:38
"I believe the general feeling is that this war will blow over quickly. Many in McKagan have high expectations of the Killian military. You guys better win. It could be a bad moral influence otherwise."

Warner shifted in her seat a little.

"So, what else is there to talk about? What about Torontia? Or Leafanistan? Or the new Dreadnaught project McKagan is working on? There's got to be more interesting things than diplomatic policy exchanges."
HailandKill
02-05-2006, 04:03
The secretary of state laughed at Warner's statement.

Yes, I too have high expectations of our Kriegsmarines. The enemy chose a bad time to attack, because the Killian Kriegsmarine had just went under a massive refit program. Needless to say, this enemy is fighting brand new ships.

Johnson listened to her second question before answering,

Ah yes, Torontia. I was deeply lost in that situation, and NSA Hawhko also came back defuddled. What is the situation?
