I love Mythology, and decided to put it to an RP. Grrek, Egyptian, Norse, and others will be involved.  
The Sign up is now CLOSED
Story- A fictional timeline were all of the above mentioned civilizations/mythologies exist. All of the gods live in their respective heavens. However, the outcasts live in the same hell. Each race gives hell a different name, but it is all the same. Loki, the Norse god of trickery and evil, along with the titan Kronus and Egyptian god Set, plan to conquer the universe together. Legions of monsters crawl from their hiding places into the Earth. The gods send heroes to deal with the monsters, and to save the world from the Evil Gods plans. 
My Character 
Name- Erik Gunnaluog 
Race- Norse 
Age- 29 
Weapons- Dual Wields A Long Sword and small Battle Axe  
Apperance- Wears black armor, scar under left eye, long blonde hair 
Strengths- Viking upbringing, can survive hardships. Brutal close combat warrior. 
Weakness- No magical abilities or resistance. 
Background- A warrior who once served Loki. He was betrayed by him, and was nearly killed. The god Thor took him under his wing and trained him. Now a powerful fighter, he is summoned by Odin to defeat the many creatures spreading across the Earth. Somewhat cold to others, he respects other skilled warriors.

  Character Background:  Dana is the Persian equivalent of Zena the Warrior Princess who travels the world righing wrongs while trying to find a way to recover the throne of Persia. Dana is a 25 yrs old and heir to the throne of Persia. She was born male but was magically changed to female by the evil god Loki because he favored a cousin of her's to inherit the throne.
Before being changed Dana had trained since childhood to be a Great Warrior 
that could be able lead the Persian Army. She mastered the use of the Long Bow, Duel Short Swords, & Single Long Sword.

on the above questions. You can make up Gods and monsters if you want, but try to keep them in with the story. You can RP as a god, but you have to RP as a mortal to, and your God will not fight, considering the fact that a God would destroy everyone. A fallen god made mortal would work though.

Apperance: Wears traditional Macedonian armor, his shield has a picture of a wolf on it. He has dark hair and a short beard and blue eyes. Several scars on his body, battle wounds.
Backround: Atticus was a hero for the city of Pella and defended his city vehemently. Atticus killed many men and monsters in his years. But Pella has become peaceful and no longer needs him, so he wanders the Aegean.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you've never RP'ed before. I'll do my best to explain. I'd prefer for you to make a mortal character, a hero, stronger than normal men. The gods will not fight or inteact in the RP, except for a few on a few occasions, because they are to powerful. The RP will progress as the group of heroes go throught the ancientlands fighting monsters, and eventually the evil gods themselves.

 Apperance: Wears the usual Hoplite armor. Muscular. Black hair, hazel eyes. About 6 feet (unusually tall)
 Backround: Nikostratos has had his fair share of battles, being noted for his ferocity in battle by fellow soldiers and politicians. Having mastered fighting with a spear, sword, and sheild, he began to look into other styles, including dual wielding. 
 
 With incredible speed, he topped the ranks and lead his soldiers to many great victories. However, he was contacted by Zeus himself, who spoke of a terrible future if nothing was to stop it...Nikostratos soon found himself battling strange beasts and monsters, instead of other mortal armies. Feeling he needed to find the source of this evil, Nikostratos left Sparta to find the source of this evil...

Apperance: brown hair with beard and likewise for the eyes, he's 5'1" which is a giant in Iceni circles, wearing britches in battle but little else.
Backround: Having fought for years against Roman occupation of Norfolk Accica has decided to slip into the life of Solitude with his god Camulos, god of war.
 
I want to be a fallen god. I'll make my character in a few minutes, just gotta choose which mythos.

A well armoured clean looking regular Roman soldier or a crazy scarred fiersome warrior in the buff who is showing of his manliness, however just for you I'll put my guy in britches.

Background- Victor was once a Roman Legionaire.  He left the army for greener pastures, namely the life of a hired sword.  For enough pay, he'll kill or capture anyone or anything.

My Character

Apperance- looks like a ninja...what did you expect? Has a big dragon tattoo on his back
Strengths- Trained by a great ninja master, is an expert in stealth and disguise as well as the martial arts, knows some basic magic mainly concerned with improving stealth, like a spell to silence his footsteps, that sort of thing
Weakness- self doubt, inexperiance, in over his head perhaps 
Background- He was trained by the great chinese ninja master Yu-Huang Chi in the province of Kyushu.  Yu-Huang has died at the age of 231, and on his death bed told his students to seek out the source of the shadow hanging over the world, to "seek it in the west" and so they went. In time they all fell to the dangers of the road, all but Kaz, the youngest least experianced of them all. Unfinished training, never been on a mission, his self doubt is rooted in wondering if he only made it because of the strength of the others, and wondering if, now that he is alone, he will be shown to have no strength of his own.

Quetzals flew across the island of Borikén. Mucaro, the young cheiftain of the Yabisi tribe sensed the impending danger coming from afar, but he could not understand it. Mucaro left his house to meet with the bohiti (shaman) to meditate upon the preminitions of evil.
"Chieftain Mucaro, what brings you to my clearing?" asked the bohiti.
"Elder, there is something that is troubling me. I have been having strange preminitions of something happening. Something dangerous," said Mucaro.
The bohiti thought for a moment and said, "Come back tomorrow. Allow me to commune with the great spirits Y'ocahu' and Atabey and I will form a solution for you."
Mucaro smiled and said, "Thank you wise one, but I wish to meditate with you."
"Fine then young cheif. Follow me." The two went into the forest in search of the Ku' (sacred place). They sat amongst the trees and wildlife with only one totem in the middle. The totem of Yaya stood tall in reverence to the mighty being unity of Y'ocahu' & Atabey. The two lit Cohoba  seeds and smoked the ceremonial herb to better connect with the spirit world.
The two found themselves on the Plane of Apito , the home of the great gods. Y'ocahu' & Atabey came unto the two and spoke
"You beings who have come to the realm of the gods. What business have you here?" asked the male half (Y'ocahu') of the great being Yaya.
"O great creator, we have come in response to strange feelings of darkness I have been receiving. I feel a dark presense looming over the horizon towards the rising sun. What is this feeling?"
"Young one, the answer you seek is within Coabey (underworld) and the guardian, Opiel Guabiron. There are other forces from other gods that you have never even dreamed of. The forces of Coabey are upseting the balance that we have worked hard to obtain. Opiel Guabiron is fighting them but losing. Thus he will be sent to accompany you on your quest," said the femine half (Atabey) of Yaya.
"Quest? What quest?" asked Mucaro.
"You must fix the balance of the world. You are the most in tune with nature around you. Thus, we are granting you the quest to stop the gods from attaining any sort of power over the balance of the universe." said the two as a whole.
The dream had ended and Mucaro found himself at the coast without the bohiti in sight. He looked to his right and saw the strange guardian of the underworld known as Opiel Guabiron (http://www.hartford-hwp.com/Taino/photos/guabiron.png). The guardian spoke.
"Son of the Mucaro, the world is in need of your help. There are others like you that will be fighting against the forces at work. Some will try to hinder you. This is a battle that will be fought by you. I can provide transportation but it is you that will fight the evil. But there will be help." Opiel Guabiron's eyes began glowing and pierced into the heart of Mucaro. "I have given you the power to summon the sacred animals of the Taino culture. Caguema, the sacered sea turtle, Mucaro, the sacred night owl, Manati', the sacered sea cow, Ao'n, the sacred dog, Maja, the great serpant, Tonina, the sacred dolphin, and Jejen, the sacred mosquito. These animals will be able to lend you their strength to aid you in the coming war. Now go Mucaro. Your destiny awaits."
Opiel Guabiron closed his eyes and darkness swirled around Mucaro. Mucaro awoke and found himself in a completely different land with beautiful white columns in the distance.

Weapon: Manaya (small hatchet) and A spear with an obsidian tip
Race: Taino Native Americans
Birthplace: Borik'en (Modern day Puerto Rico)
Fighing Attributes: Quick and Agile with unorthodox moves similar to dancing. Can summon the sacred animals to help him. Is a great hunter and tracker.
Other: Is closely tied to nature and has shown to the other bohiti's that he has some medium and seer abilities, but they are limited amongst the other bohiti. The reason he was chosen is unknown.
Weakness: He cannot sustain a summon for long because it drains his life energy more and amore until he dies. Lousy at long range attacks. No magic (other than the sacred animals and speaking with spirits).
Bio:
Mucaro was born on the Carribbean island of Borik'en (Puerto Rico). From birth he had shown great promise as a bohiti (medium shaman) as Mucaro could tell the future slightly and speak to the forest spirits. He became the cheif of the tribe after the previous one was killed in a war against the Caribs. Mucaro was chosen by the great spirit Yaya to become the chief and is now being sent to the old world to stop Set, Loki, and Kronus from destroying the delicate balance of Yaya. Mucaro is shy and quite but very strong by heart and very brave. He is cunning and a good hunter. Mucaro's weakness is the random visions that he has. They happen randomly and can impede his ablities afterward. He is also untrusting of the new people here as they practice slavery and war, which is abhored in his nation. Therefore he is quick to mistrust and not listen to his teammates.

Training: Keltoi is a newly ordained Druid. During his many years of study, he mainly trained for battle, learning to fight as well as using battle-magic, but also has extensive knowledge of his gods and military strategy. His patron is Lugh, and so he has worked on various crafts such as woodworking and working as a blacksmith. He also has decent knowledge of Mathematics, Medecine, and Music.

Background: Born in Carthago Nova, the only son of a retired Roman legionary and his Spanish slave, Chaerton was adopted by his father when he was born. When his parents died in their fishing boat off the coast of Iberia, Chaerton was raised by his uncle, the chief of a tribe in the hills around Lusitania. He roams the Iberian countryside now, ever since the tribe succumbed to plague. Considered something of a jinx by the locals.

IC means In Character, basically what your characters are doing, as opposed to OOC which is just general chatter about how well things are going.

It means In Character. OOC is out of charater. And Role playing is like storytelling your character's story. BTW you cant say what another guy's character is doing unless it is something small. The other character is the others guy's and only he can control him unless you talk things out with him and he gives the ok.

Bad
I stabbed the orc and he died. My teammate (the other country) said "Nice job, but now you must fight me!!"
Good
I stabbed the orc. My teammate turned to me and nodded.
See, the way you should end a passage should lead up to another action that the other character will do. It leaves alot tof freedom that your teammate or enemy can do. And there is alot of compromise involved in this. I remember in my first RP I had to kill off the main character. Just remember to compromise and take some hits. THat is the only way to make a good RP.

Yeah, only mine are spirits that can manafest themselves into the real creature. For example, Caguema is the sacred giant sea turtle that caused tidal waves. In this, he would be a giant sea turtle that could ferry us around for a short time and also attack ships. Mucaro is the sacred Night Owl and they had the ability to see the past and futures of every man. Since most of the creatures on the island weren't big like a jaguar, many of the big creatures are the sea creatures, like Manati' the manatee. The only big land creature on Borik'en is Ao'n, the wolf/dog. I liked him so I added him as well. There was also other animals like the shark and the quetzal, but I figured 7 is enough.

that's only a little bit overkill... If it was a hydra, 3 cylopses, 30 Minotaurs, and 40 medusas, I would have let it slide.

I'll work with elves, faeries and dryads. They could come in handy. My guys weakness is that he's a weaker fighter than a full time fighter, a weaker mage than a full time mage, a much worse blacksmith than a full time blacksmith, etc.

Well lets see...there isnt too much in Taino Legend but I know alot for Aztec. I have some good ideas of what monsters I gotta put in, like Telcalipoca the great bear, Nahual which is a witch, Tzitzimime the star demons that can attack the sun, and the Xmulzencab which are bee swarm demons that can form into humanoid forms. Kinda like The Pain from Metal Gear Solid 3.

Pixies is just a regional name for a faery. Though they were usually mischeivous, they weren't particularly evil. In fact, Celtic mythology doesn't really have any seperation between good an evil. The closest there is are the Unseelie Faeries, but they weren't really evil, they just hated humans for a variety of good reasons. But you can have corrupt beings of any race I guess.
Here's a thought, since we're going to do eleven misions, we can each make up the storyline for one of them.

I live in Florida, so I go by EST, basically putting me 4 hours from Jolts time. I actually find it odd that they say it is in GMT but I always thought that EST was 5 hours behind, not 4...
I am usually up from 8 AM to 3 AM, so I have a good amount of leeway.

Please describe Kratos and his spear, as in height, weight, abilities, ect. Is he really some type of god or something else. It's hard to gage damage and other happenstance without some details.

  She is manly in the sense that she is a very good warrior. If you read her original description, you know she was once a man that Loki transformed into 
a woman so he could steal her place as heir to the crown. In fact I would like to see our group go to Persia to reclaim her crown.

  It's one of the possible pic's I found on the internet of her, I decided to use it because the character wasn't just standing there and because she had a warrior princess quality to her. I wish I had the ability to make pics of my characters but the software to do that is expensive.
