OOC: All right, here (http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/5779/makoki63qh.png)is the map so far. RP your landing and tell me what your claims and preferred color are.
IC: The commander of the Aegir stood at the bow, looking out over the islands. No sign of current native life, although a few huts and some human bones had been found, and, apart from insects and fish, not much animal life either. The men brought along in the troop carrier he was escorting, had already struck oil. They were in the process of building a rig.
How long would it be before others found this island? And what would they do when they did? Well, that was why he was here, after all.
The Merchant fleet from Vaak, along with a few settlers, landed on the large island in the east, on its Eastern edge, and began searching for materials.
((Easternmost island, and I like Orange.))

"Sir! Sir! We have found a very lucrative-looking island chain."
"I dont practice colonialism. Are there natives?"
"Negative."
"It's ours."
"Yes sir."
Pythogrian ships sailed to claim one of the islands, the southwest one.

"Sire, a new chain of islands was recently found in the Pacific." the messenger burst into the throne room waving a piece of paper, it was a map.
"Is it claimed?" the Czar inquired, taking the map in his hands and looking over it.
"Some has been. Most of it is unclaimed. Several nations have expressed interests however."
"They'll swarm in like fireflies." the Czar paused. "We'll have to move quickly. Mobilize the 2nd paratroopers batallion and have them board transports immediately. I want an airdrop into Makoki immediately and to establish a base of operations."
"It will be done, sire."
~1 hour later~
5,000 West Corinthian paratroopers boarded their C-17s and departed West Corinthian airspace. Their destination, the Makoki Isles.
The C-17s reached Makoki airspace. Lights in the C-17s went from red to green. Paratroopers poured out of their planes, and dropped into dense forest on one of the islands. They quickly headed for a high, open hill nearby. They set up a perimeter and informed the Czar that a center of command had been established.
OOC: Make me RED. I think I like the island on the right side, across the channel from the one on the left side. You know, like there are two big islands in the middle with a strait between them, I like the southern half of the one on the right.

Six V-22 Ospreys flew on the nape of the earth, towards the southern end of the eastern island. The Ospreys were laden with Fianoglach Rangers, the elite fighting force of the ARLNI. They would act as the pathfinders for the main fighting force, who were steadily approaching on ships loaned by Pythogria.

Commander Nicholas stood on the bridge of the Frigate MRN Advantage when a young lieutenant ran up to him bringing him news of a unclaimed piece of land .
"Sir , we have detected a small mass of land 3km away . It appears to be uninhabited and not populated by any natives . It also appears to be the type of resource rich islands ."
"Excellent . I'm sure the Empire would want to claim this piece of land to mine for raw materials to feed our booming industry ."
Commander Nicholas gave the order and the 6 ship Task Force comprising of 3 Frigates , 2 Cruisers and 1 SBN Submarine approached the Island through the Easten shores and docked 1 km away from the shoreline . Then he dispatched an amphibious landing force comprising of 2 Hover Crafts (Each carrying 20 Marines , 1 Tank and 2 APCs) and 6 Light Patrol Crafts (Each carrying 5 Marines) to land on the Island and plant the Mationbuds flag and claim it as our territory .
Commander Nicholas also sent a message to the Emperor :
"My Lord , I your humble servant Commander Nicholas of expeditionary force 11 has came upon a island that appears to be uninhabited at the moment and rich in resources . I have dispatched a amphibious landing force , a small one to claim the Eastern territories ."
"Commander , you are hereby ordered to take the whole island . By force if necessasary . We cant let such a good oppotunity pass by us . I will send the 2nd Fleet and 1st Reclamation Force to assist you . We will also send 500 state recruited miners and engineers and mining masters to go and start mining for resources immediately . You are also to set up a small operations base and dockyard . The dockyard will serve as a yard to service or refuel our ships and also do transfer the mined resources to cargo ships that will be sent every week ."
and with that the Emperor cut off the transmission ...
Back at Mationbuds, the Emperor carried out his order and dispatched the 7th Fleet , 1st Recalmation Force and the workers who would arrive in less than 4 days time . Meanwhile Commander Nicholas had already arrived on the island , bringing 100 Marines and 4 Tanks with him and had already set up a base (tents) with a defensive perimeter and was now starting on a sturdy dock ...

The Emperor had also ordered 6 Chinook Heavy Duty Helicopters and 4 CH-47 Cargo Planes to deliver tools and materials to start building the docks , oil refineries and mining shafts . It also brought along 100 workers and some heavy duty machinery to do what was required .
Meanwhile Commander Nicholas had received a order from the Emperor and named the new colony Mateb and was told that settlers would come soon to populate the place and transform it into a Mationbuds Imperial Colony and there was speculation back in Mationbuds that a Naval Base and/or Army Base and/or Air Base to be set up to further claim the island under Imperial rule .
The experienced Commander also brought another detachment of 6 Tanks and 8 APCs with 100 Marines to the Maten Colony . 4 Osprey Patrol Aircraft and 2 SeaHawk Helicopters were also launched to patrol and do recon . That was when the Commander was alerted to the presence of other nations .
This news he reported to the Emperor , who once again ordered that at least 1/2 of the Island must be under Imperial Control within 5 months , by force or diplomacy , he didnt care ...

"I want it clear to those civilians that this is a military operation." the Czar stated. "Over there, the military is in charge. I don't want any of our people complaining. They know what they're walking into."
"I understand." the messenger replied. They had been discussing the possibilities of establishing cities on the newly claimed land. The idea was promising, but the land had not yet been secured.
Meanwhile, the West Corinthians had named their island New Achaea (without consent of the other nations laying claims there). An airstrip had been plowed in a field near the command center and C-17s were beginning to fly in supplies and heavy armor.
They began by bringing in several hundred tons of barbed wire. Engineers were flown in by the hundreds and concrete was being brought by sea. A small flotilla of destroyers and patrol vessels had reached the coast of the West Corinthian claim.
Now that support had arrived, the massive job of fortifying the land began. First, West Corinthia expanded her claim northwards, but not as far north as Roubus' claim. A great deal of unclaimed land still seperated them. Now, barbed wire was spread across most of the northern border. Trenches were dug behind, and the groundwork for massive concrete bunkers were laid.
Back at the command center, a scout had reported a massive deposit of iron ore in mountains along the eastern shore. Engineers were sent immediately to begin mining operations. Troop escorts were sent to secure the mountains for the engineers.

Though we take comfort in your statement, it is not you we feel threatened by, nor Roubus for that matter. We merely wish to protect our own interests in this area. If this war forces us to choose a side, we wish to be ready for any circumstance.
Dear whoever,
We wish to form a trade alliance (and possibly military)against Pythogria. Do this and we shall let you have all the unclaimed land left on this island. And acess to Gemstone Conglomerate storage facilities.

"Sir?"
"Just send the rest of the 3rd surface fleet to our colony immediately. Continue regular delivery of troops and armor. I want air patrols to begin over our territory in Makoki."
"It will be done."
On New Achaea, the border of the West Corinthian territory was secure in the north. A wide expanse of trenches, barbed wire, minefields, tank traps, and bunkers provided an excellent deterrant to invasion. Now air patrols were guarding the airspace above the colony. The rest of the 3rd surface fleet would arrive soon. In a word, the colony was mobilized.
On a lighter note, the first permanent settlement was established in West Corinthian territory. The hilltop which had formed the command post for the 2nd paratroopers batallion became known as the town of Argolis. Argolis is currently several hundred camo tents housing some 1,749 West Corinthian migrants. Streets, permanent houses, sewers, shops, and light industrial warehouses are all under construction. The town is powered by a dozen windmills above the canopy of the surrounding woods.

3 Warships fire at the Vaak vessel. While a company of Prospectors lands on the second island with a tank squad(3)
Godmod. You'd have to deal with the Krumbar bunkers, which have machine guns, missiles, and a big cannon. The ships would be targeted and fired upon long before they reached the island. Land, yes, but you need to have resistance.

IC:
eighteen subs from the main island came around the back of the Roubus fleet, and used their torps. As soo nas the salvo was fired, the subs boosted away. They never surfaced.
OOC: My subs don't need to surface to fire.
