Click, Click, Click

That was the sound of the Matriarch Kliazix Izx Ziakiraz claws as she tapped them on the hard table. She looked at the others around her, there where 11 of the in Total, 6 Matriarchs and 5 Patriarchs. They all looked at her, while she looked up smiling.

>To begin, the New Expansion< would be the translation, she spoke with a mixture of voice, Telepathy and Skin-Speech. >We attack, this one< a map rose, showing a system near the Fringe Worlds. It was Dark Red Stain. The council members nodded, agreement coming from their lips, minds and bodies. The Matriarch smiled.

>To Lead, I offer< said the Patriarch Kixarz Orx Narythe, the Council nodded in his direction, committing him to the action of leading the New Expansion. Once chosen, the Exact forces Detailed to this where chosen, giving 12 Capitals to their command, along with the Ground Forces nessersary when nessersary.

Little time was taken, the Target had been chosen, thus it was now Commanding-Patriarch Kixarz Orx Narythe readied for his war, soon it would begin, and once the machine that was Naggeroth began to roll, it would take great things to stop it.

Great things indeed…

+-+-+System: Intizni+-+-+

The planet sat, like a jewel in the Inky Blackness of space. In its orbit, several stations, hung, as Orbital/Atmospheric Craft drifted between them, lazily as they patrolled the space between the stations.

And Without warning, there was a neat cut in reality. Outside the range of the Station or their strike craft, twelve ships dropped out. Their sizes ranged, from the 200m of the 6 Frigates, to the 1,250m of the Command-Carrier. There was a pause, before a message broadcasted to the planet, so that all would here. It was sent not just to the planet, but to all three systems they had in their control.

Hegemony Communication:

For your information: The Imperial Hegemony of Naggeroth has claimed this system, you have three options, Surrender, Flee, or Die. Do not tempt me, for I shall destroy you.

Commanding-Patriarch Kixarz Orx Narythe.

It took little time for a response. The Intizni sent a message talking about how they would never surrender their freedoms to Imperialists, and how they did not trust the Hegemony to keep them protected. He didn’t really listen, he simply nodded to the man before him.

>Void Fissure, I command, Open, Their Stations< he said simply. The Naggerothian nodded. And like rings around the planet, the Void Fissures began to open. At first, there was it was just a leaking of energy, then it became a Trickle, and then, there was a flood. Energy poured out, the stations began to become twisted wrecks, Vaporized within seconds.

>Void Fissure, Close, and AM-Displacers, finish them< the Energy tunnel slowly stopped, before explosions began to devastate the planet and the remaining craft in orbit. Great flames burst in the atmosphere, while the cities where destroyed as the Anti-Matter was displaced into their locations. Within minutes, the Planet had been devastated.

>Now, World, Capture, Destroy Resistance< And hence it was, that the ships began to move closer to the planet, Electrostatic Disruptors tore through any fighters that had survived, and drop ships began the deployment of ground troops. And one more message was sent out.

Hegemony Message:

For your Information: The Imperial Hegemony now claims the Intizni System. The Inhabitants have been put to justice. Do not attract our attention for the worst.

Commanding-Patriarch Kixarz Orx Narythe

[OOC: Hello all, I am back. Now, how can you get involved do you asked? You can have begun approaching the system before the message was sent, and arrive roughly at the same time. You can become outraged, and try and negotiate with us to release the survivors instead of killing them, or you can come in to Negotiate with the Hegemony. Choice is yours.]

IC:

An Ubranuss Flanker of the Abh Empire glided slowly through Hyperspace with no escort and minimal contact with the capital for some time now. It was the same mission that many Rangers had been put to for some time now. Searching out the universe for new contacts and unihabited planets. Mapping out the known universe for new civilizations and new systems had practically become a side quest for many of them. Boyd sat at the helm of the ship directing it through the gravity currents of Hyperspace while an Abh in a business suit and black framed glasses stood looking over at the holographic map display. "Are you sure about this Clyve?"

Clyve Anderson turned around with an unsettling smile on his face. He had a way of unnerving the Ranger which usually put Boyd on his guard. "I still don't know why you have asked to come along. It's not a very exciting mission even for a politician and the likeliness of finding battle is slim to none."

Clyve shrugged. "Let's just say I have my own personal interests. Negotiating with new people looks appealing when considering applications."

Boyd rested his head on his fist. "Fine. You keep your secrets you..."

"Sir, approaching our destination and preparing to make the jump to normal space."

Boyd stood up from the chair. "We'll finish this conversation later. All hands, prepare to enter normal space. Communications, open all frequencies and began scanning."

"Aye sir."

"Jump."

A flash of light signaled the beginning of an opening in the fabric of space. Blue swirling void surrounded the ship as it glided into normal system and began scanning the system.

Drifting through the hollow vastness of the Great Dark; the vessel had unknowingly stumbled into the Intizni system; the computers and systems of the mighty vessel whirred and hissed, shifting into new techno-arcane forms as the being sat upon his command chair gazed softly at the void from empty sockets; spheres of malevolent blazing energy burning where eyes should have lain.

The Lich gestured, a holographic display flickering into being, maps, charts; systems relays and outputs. A second gesture just as curtly dismissed it. "Rise..." He whispered "Rise, my brothers...Rise and serve the Scourge..."

Throughout the vessel, the occupants, numerous undead, some sentient, some mindless; rose from their ice-wrapped torpor. Ghouls and Abominations struggled against chains, and their roars echoed throughout the grand Necropolis.

"My...My Lord..." The hissed whisper of an Acolyte as he awoke, pulling his robes about him. "Where are we...What...What does the Lich King command?"

"Ready yourself brother...We trespass upon anothers domain; we must be cautious. We must be careful, and above all we must further HIS Will."

>I warn, ships here< the Mind Of the ship let the warning out over the bridge of the Command Carrier. The hallways immidietly dimmed, as the spaced Green lights came online.

>To Halt them, I Order, Alive< The reply came. The Commander-Patriarch's crest flared blue, as he shifted the plates on his chest slightly. He watched as the Ships Mind began to scatter data, before it sent the right infomation.

Hegemony Communication:

Be Warned!: You are trespassing within the Hegemony space, we sent a warning not to, your ship will be disabled, and you shall then be brought here. Do not resist, or we shall destroy you.

Mind of the Kixarz Orx Narythe Command-Carrier

It was a short message, to the point. Within moments of the Abh ship, this message was sent, followed by the Command Carrier and the Supporting Crusiers firing their EM-Pulsars. The Grey shots carved outwards, the chance of the craft avoiding them would be slim.

Once the EM-Pulsars hit they would fry most of the ships systems, and the Hegemony ships fired off their Displacers, Transporting the Abh ship right up close to the command Carrier, within visual range of the guns, of the ships around it. Following, another message would be sent.

Hegemony Communication:

Advice for you: Do not resist, we shall hear your story, your communications are usually the first thing to come back online, you may tell us why you are here then.

Ambassador Alexei Luther sighed as he read the report from the home office. "Typical." With a sigh he looked up at the map. Rothian space was marked in yellow lettering, and Roanian space was marked in red. And between them was a gray section of space, carefully marked as the Neutral Zone. Ever since the war 175 years ago, in which a Divine Imperial Colonisation Armada and a Hegemony Expansion Fleet had run right into each other, the two nations had been in a state of hostile neutrality.

Recent movements, however, left the Divine Imperium demanding answers. So Luther placed the report down on the table and looked across at his pleasure slave. "..." He couldn't recall her proper name, so he used the name he had given her when he had chosen her. "Lyn. I have business with the masters of this citadel. Prepare our bath for when we return." His eyes glowed with hidden amusement as the human ran to fulfill her order. He stepped forward, and two armoured legionnaires stepped behind to flank him. They were completely masked, and simply were there to provide menace.

He stepped out of his room in the 'city', and looked down the corridors. He desired an appointment with the Council, and so he would need to find his Tetriarch contact. In his apartment, the slavegirl quickly busied herself fulfilling her master's wish. Then, with a sigh, she stripped herself from her clothes and sank into the warm water. She was past being embarassed in the presence of the guards who watched her when the ambassador was gone. She couldn't consider them human. They were too tall, their ears were too pointed, and their eyes were too glowy. 'Then again, when Alec touches me, he might as well be human.' She laughed a little, then sobered up. The ambassador had saved her from becoming food to the Rothians, and so deserved as much respect as she could give him.

Surprisingly the ship was uneffected by EM-Pulsars but such is the result often times when shots are fired first without asking questions of an unknown nation. Boyd quickly calmed the crew around him as overwhelming majority saught to return fire with something a little more deadly than electromagnetic pulse. "Sit down! There is no damage to the ship and we still have all capabilities. If they do arm their weapons, open a jump gate right on top of them. Understand? That should satisfy your blood lust."

The transmission came through communication links and was relayed by the communication officer. The Ranger turned toward the politician that was standing next to him. "Well you wanted experience. I believe you're up but if they do get hostile, I will destroy the ship and return back home. Got it?"

Clyve pushed his glasses back up his nose and cleared his throat. "Certainly."

He stood next to the Abh woman that was running communications. "Send this message."

Greetings from the Abh Empire,
I am afraid there has been a misunderstanding here. For one I am afraid that your transmission is not capable of traveling through Hyperspace. Therefore, we could not pick up on your signal that this system was yours. We are merely embarking on a mission to discover old and new nations that we have not had contact with before. Unfortunatly, our star maps do not have you listed so we could not have known. Also, our ship is far from disabled. Any further hostile actions will be met with retaliation. Now, we do realize we have intruded in your territory and apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused you. We are only trying to establish diplomatic relations with other nations.

Tectriarch Mzlixi Kzi Morths looked up, the Roanian was moving. He sighed, flicking the translator Orb beside him to life as he stood. The orb began to move, doing slow orbits around his head.

He moved down the corridors. He shifted Several of the plates on his body as he moved, and randomly scratched his claws along one of the walls. As he approched the Ambassador, he looked quite impressive. Twice the size of a human, two wings adorned his back. Covered in armoured plates, and with teeth the size of daggers. He stood and looked down at Alexei, his face making a gesture that would be the equivilent of a smile. He made several growling sounds, and his Head Ridge burst to life in colours. The Translator orb spoke, a tone of intrest.

>Seek what, do you? Speak, and discuss<

>Failure, how!?< Kixarz roared to the ship.

>Misfire, occured. Anew Attempt?< The ship replied.

>No Longer, I communicate, NOW!< he said, simply.

Silence. It fills the blackness all around, devoid with the exception of the stars, planets, and vessels sent forth by differing nations with differing goals. It slid forward through the silence, the massive grey hull propelled forward by the quick engines in the rear which disrupted the void in its area. This was the destroyer Arcane Fury, a mighty war vessel of the Republican private legion Primigenia. The common ships of the Taledonian empire.

Captain Armenius walked down the catwalk of his bridge, the white walls made even brighter by the bright lights, and the beeps and buzzing of the computer systems scattered on both sides of the catwalk interrupted his thoughts as he made his way to the end. Suddenly a claxon sounded, and he spun to hear the report. A planet, made devoid of life, much like the space that surrounded it, and an Abh vessel rendered disabled. Peculiar for a formerly quiet sector on the long route back to the Empire. If the FTL engines hadn't been damaged they wouldn't even have to pass by this backwater system, but as chance had it, they did. But it would not be polite to show up to a gala un announced.

By the grace of the Gods and by the will of his imperial majesty, Emperor Julianus Augustus Kellerman, we announce our approach under a white flag of peace. The ambassador hissed in mild annoyance at the display, his eyes dimming somewhat before bursting into full, angry life. "The expansion fleets are on the move again, Most Honoured Tetriarch. And in a system so close to the neutral zone, might I add. I trust it was profitable?." Nevertheless, his voice was calm and controlled. Roanians generally were. "Might I ask of the fate of the locals?" There was no real concern within his voice. If the Light had not desired the extinction of the race, it would not have occured. That was as far as pity took him. "And if it pleases you, Esteemed Master, I would request a meeting with the Council, so that I may hear the wisdom of the Elders and learn of this incident, which I am sure was a beautiful one."

Boyd smirked out of amusement. "Still think this was a good idea? You know we didn't exactly come here to establish any diplomatic relations and especially these people. One his wages war so easily would only lead us down a path of destruction."

Clyve grabbed his long coat from the back of a chair and put it on. "I see you have forgotten the history of the nation you serve. Long before the one true capital was lost to us, the Abh race ruled much of an entire galaxy and established strong colonies in the Milky Way before they had to pull out. They conquered nation after nation to prevent galactic war that they knew would eventually develop. Now how many wars have you seen?"

"Fine but I'm coming with you."

A transmission was sent to the Naggeroth carrier.
We would be delighted to meet you for a face-to-face conversation and discuss any matters that are of importance to you. We will depart in a shuttle momentarily if that is acceptable to you.

A second transmission was later sent to the Taledonian vessle.
This is Ranger Boyd of the Abh Empire. Our ship is still in fine working order and we are not taking any measure against us as hostile at this moment. We are preparing the meet with the command staff of this fleet and explain our intentions in this system.

The Abh was not wearing the usual tiara so the froch on his forehead was showing which would appear to look like just in ordinary grey gem set in the middle of his forehead.

Clyve cleared his throat before beginning. "As I said earlier, we are merely making contact with races and nations that are unknown to us. It was rumored that there was a settlement on this planet and we desired to make contact with them. We did not know that your empire was expanding in this region and thus claiming this system as your own. The Imperial Destroyer slipped through inter-dimensional space as it cruised, searching. The rumors of a Cassiopeian refuge had brought them to investigate. The war had fared badly for them, which suited Balrogga just perfectly. With the destruction of The Cassiopeian Galaxy, the G’Than’Dehr had been satisfied.

All that was left was to track down the rumors and prove them false, or to make them false. Any fleeing TCG ships were marked for obliteration upon sight. Most nations did not like them traipsing through their backyards while hunting, but when the rumors of ships never being seen after they complained usually made the locals look the other way or to give the prey away, hoping they would keep running so the Imperials would follow, taking both hunter and prey into someone else’s backyard. The Empire was all too happy to monopolize upon the effects of the stigma. It helped more than it hindered, especially when people were reminded that they worked with Chronosia, Godular, and Dratheria resulting in the complete eventual destruction of the Cassiopeian Galaxy itself. The black hole at the center of their galaxy was still devouring the remains of the TCG empire. (NS War II history).

Aboard the Interceptor Destroyer, the crew inhabited various parts of the small ship. It was small by other nations standards. The Destroyer was a mere 120 meters but it registered as possessing the mass of a small sun. It was easily noticeable and the Empire never saw the advantage of hiding. They let the other races know when they were coming so they could get out of their way. The Captain, R’Chz, commanded the ship through the War. He knew every part of The Righteous Vengeance as if it was part of his own body, and in a way it was.

“Captain, we are approaching the system where the information suggested the Enemy was hiding.”

“Scan the system for any signs of activity.”

“Yes Sir. It appears to have several ships engaging in some sort of activity.”

“Are they identified as targets?”

“Negative. There is an Abh ship and a Taldonian ship. The presence of unknown ships not listed in the directory of an undetermined amount.”

“Drop down to Real Space. Perhaps they will tell us where we can start our Hunt.”

“Yes Sir.”

Moments later, the ebon destroyer faded into existence as they Emerged from T-Space into Real Space. The sensors on the two known vessel would immediately alarm as the readings of such a large mass would trip proximity alarms. The subsequent scans would show that even though the weapon systems were not powered up, the energy readings of the small ship could only be described as incredible.

The ship came to a halt barely a thousand meters from the position of the three ships. The ship almost appeared to be alive and seemed to be all angles and spines, the curious spikes flexing slowly in the solar winds. For such a fearsome vessel, only a few weapons could be seen mounted at the sides of the hull through the purple tint of it’s Dimensional Shields.

“This is The Righteous Vengeance. We are searching for our Prey and request information upon their whereabouts.”

Even in the Fringe, word travels fast. An old empire had awakened from its long slumber, writhing through the stars devouring the weakest of the stellar herd. Such occurances were common in such a large galaxy filled with so many ambitious empires, that it was almost unimportant news; reported only when a particularly strong empire fell to a stronger foe. Still, unimportant news is news nonetheless. It will be reported by someone, and noticed by anyone actively searching, for whatever reason.

The sky lay draped over a bed of silver needles; the tops of massive cylindrical buildings towering over the sprawling urban jungle below. The pane glass buildings cast massive shadows that stretched on into the undeveloped countryside and the pristine bay the city was curved around. Thousands of flying metal machines glided through the air every moment, carrying with them a vast conglomeration of people, goods, and resources, the lifeblood of any capitalistic empire.

A silver building, oblong in its architecture, lay in the middle of this busy city. It seemed quite from the outside, docile in fact compared to its insanely active surroundings. Only a few lights shone through the thick glass windows in between its concrete reinforced layers. One could never guess that it was here, that some of the most important work in the empire took place.

Within the confines of the Conglomerate Diplomatic Corporation three men stood in front of a large view screen in a brightly lit room. The view screen showed the desecration of a nation at the hands of a vicious foe. Untold millions must of died, many more wounded and suffering, such a sight was enough to turn the stomach of the most hardened individual, but needs to not cease to appease the suffering.

"Send in… Bran. He's most suited for this mission I believe." One of the men, clad in white, said as he turned towards the others. “I agree. Jehanns is far to young and inexperienced.” Another said. “Yes, One and Two I concur. Bran shall be dispatched immediately.” In unison the three moved towards an ivory pedestal that held a very simple urn, small in its size and silver in color. Blue energies flowed forth over the rim of the urn, diffusing back into reality from whatever universe that they had once originated.

The energies started to glow ever brighter as they moved closer and closer, ablaze with excitement as the three men in white placed their hands over the urn. Soon they were engulfed entirely, the once white room now encased in a shade of eerie indigo, the men in white no longer men but an agglomeration of energy held together only by the vortex of blue emanating from the urn.

--

Bran Delanii was sitting quietly in the command chair of a typical Conglomerate Hostile Takeover class diplomatic vessel. Bored, as one would be when your last assignment was over three months ago. He a very muscular and imposing man for a diplomatic, stretching the threads of his gray silk suit even as he did nothing other than sit. “I’ll do anything, anything…” he thought to himself, rubbing his fingers through his thick, shortcut hair. “Even if it is just saying hello to someone, anyone, I’ll do it.” It was at that moment that his mind stopped, his eyes became devoid of life as he sunk into his chair, motionless.

“… Bran, You have a mission. The Intizni system, speak with the Hegemony about purchasing the bodies of the vanquished. Use whatever means you deem appropriate to obtain what the Conglomeration desires.” The voices echoed through his head, sounding of a chorus chanting songs in languages uncomprehendable by mortals from the deepest pits of hell.

His trance lasted only for an instant, but it felt like an eternity, as if the universe had died and experienced an inexplicable rebirth in the time between his lucidity. “Thank, the, lord.” He thought aloud, a cold sweat streaming down his well-defined facial features. With only a few simple presses of a few simple console keys, the silver-gray ship sped along the infinite hyperspace lanes towards the Intizni system.

Massive fleets of Chronosia, Godular, No Endorse, Dratheria, TFU, and many of the others that responded to their vicious attacks were shown. Several ambushed by Imperial Forces wiping out the TCG battle groups. The data link finished with detailed images and tech specs of every known TCG ship.

A brief message was sent afterwards.

“Again, we are searching for our Prey. Have you seen them?”

>Intresting, this is< the Large Patriarch said, >Limited Trade, between us, I permit.< he nodded. And within moments, the two where displaced back onto the bridge of their own craft.

No: Negative, we have not seen these craft, ever. All these craft are unknown to us. Any other reasons for intruding on our space or where you leaving?

We will leave when we are sure there are none hiding within this area. To force us is to imply you are hiding something. Perhaps we should request an investigation of you if this manner continues. Most would think you'd jump at the chance to get rid of vermin like these, unless you are hiding them...

When the alien tried to respond, the signal was deliberately cut off.

Start a complete sensor sweep of the area. Make sure it is a strong one so we can find out where they are hiding.

But Sir, it might interfere with the equipment on those three ships at this range.

They had their chance to aid us in the hunt. We are taking matters in our own hands. Monitor their ships to make sure they don't do anything stupid. Make sure the Dimensional Sheilds are ready.

Are you expecting them to attack?

Only if they are harboring any of the Enemy.

>Patriarch, Sensor interferance, origin, Hunters< the ships AI muttered over the comms.

>No more, fire< the simple command came. The Patriarch was not happy, these new ones had popped up, demanding.

>As Commanded< The AI said, its mind Emotionless.

The ship began to power, Shields rose as the craft readied for a battle. The Smaller Frigates turned, while the larger craft simple lanced out. Clear Distortions in space tore through, while around the Balroggan Ship, Displaced Anti-Matter was deployed, tearing apart moments later in violent explosions.

They did however, act rather rudely in someone elses system...so the events where partially Justified.

Sir, we are detecting a power up.

Uplift the ship, Emergency Tactics. Emerge above them and open up with the Grav Torps.

Yes Sir.

The Righteous Vengeance faded into Dimensional Space and moments later it reappeared a few hundred meters above the ship. The launching tubes sent a full load (1) of Grav Torps down upon its topside. The torp generated a full singularity in front of the torpedo, drawing in not only light, but also any point defense projectiles sent out in hope of intercepting the Torps in a prelude of what was about to happen.

Suddenly the shields of The Righteous Vengeance lit up like fireworks as the anti-matter struck the dimensional barrier, prematurely causing the destructive annihilation. The white flash from the energy discharge stunned the sensors for a few moments. (2)

Open a channel to them.

Yes Sir.

Attention rogue ship. Your unwarranted attack upon an Imperial vessel is a declaration of war against the Balrogga Empire. At best it will implicate you in assisting known war criminals. Either way, our actions here will be completely justified.

You have been warned.

Ok, that little message will get their attention long enough for our sensors to recover. Take us back to see what happens. Extend the spines.

The destroyer seemed to flow backwards as its engines pulled it through space in reverse, getting it clear of the beleaguered ship. (3) The spines on the rear of the ship seemed to move and extend. The ship now liked like it was pissed and ready to fight back.

(1) The Intruder Destroyer has 10 torpedo tubes. This would be considered a full load. The effect the singularities has on your shields can be determine by you but remember, the singularity is a little bit in front of the torp generating it.

(2) I don’t know if your method would travel across dimensions so I had it be stopped on the edge of the shield. I figure the explosion would blind the sensors of the closest ships at least.

(3) I use Dimensional Drives and there are not any visible engines to aim at that are operational. I do possess emergency back up Ion Drives that might be mistaken for the engines but they are not powered.

[OOC: Forgive me if I assume anything, working from what I think, correct me if I am wrong]

The ship came up above the Command-Carrier, The torpedos smashing into the shields as if there was a solid wall. To the Taledonian, the Commanding-Patriarch waved a dismissive gesture, before the chair he sat upon dropped into the floor.

>Report!< the large Rothian roared. His claws fully drawn. He sat on his throne like a Demon ready to kill.

>Top Shield Quadrent, failing, Rescramble from other Quadrents. Target has retreated slightly.<

>All ships, to fire!< the Roar came.

Pitty on the Balroggan, the smaller Frigates Launched themselves, while larger craft sat back and coordinated Anti-Matter Displacement with Electrostatic Disruptor fire. The two weapons streaked across space towards the Balroggan craft.

While the Frigates simply began moving to corner it, to herd it directly into the Bulk of the Crusiers.

Sir, we have incoming.

Time to impact?

About three seconds.

Is that enough time for Mobius Deployment?

It might be.

Then hurry and stop wasting time talking.

Already deployed…

The sensor readings showed the incoming attack strike a region where a projected energy field was erected unseen. The projectiles disappeared and then reappeared, redirected back on the same path. They followed their original trajectory back home.

This will be interesting to see if they can take what they dish out.

Yes it will Sir, but we have their friends closing in.

The two ships conversing with them?

The Abh and Taledonian ships are not moving. They seem to be taken by surprise.

Get a firing resolution on their engines if they try to do anything other than moving away. Also initiate the Heisenberg Shielding.

Doing so now Sir.

Range for the frigates

Long range for the lasers but medium for the Cannons

Target 3 to 4 on each ship and fire at will.

Several hatches slid smoothly open and a large number of Cannons locked into firing position. They spent a few moments acquiring their targets and then opened fire. The angry red beams lanced out towards their individual targets, getting a feeling for them and their shields.

Data on the torp attack.

They seemed to impact on the shields before the singularities went deep enough to affect the hull.

Set the range to expand when they get close, otherwise keep the rest of the approach like the one before. Send the Sings through the window but keep the messengers outside the door as long as you can.

Yes Sir.

The torpedo tubes launched another volley which shot out and swung around, locking upon the ship where the earlier blast originated, following the return from the Mobius hoping to make it in some kind of weak spot they created.

The two representatives were displaced back on board their ship much to the relief of Boyd. Clyve smiled as he walked over towards the communication. "Send a message to the carrier."

We thank you for your hospitality and trade agreement. We leave you in peace.

Just as the message was finished, all hell seem to break loose. "Well it seems like we won't be leaving them in peace now. That ship of theirs just opened up on a Balroggan vessel. The Balroggans are targeting our engines along with Taledonia's."

Clyve adjusted his glasses once again. "Do you think we can intervene?"

"No. The battle has already gotten too far out of hand for that. Right now I'm more concerned with getting noncombatants away from here. Heat up the engines!"

The SHIDM Imperial Dragon was a very, very large and very, very powerful ship. Roughly 4 kilometers from tip to tail, another 2 kilometers tall, and a nearly 2 kilometers wide it could be assumed to dwarf almost anything in the Iznivti system. It was also almost certainly more powerful than any ship at all in the Iznivti system. It carried 20 fighter wings and countless numbers of drones in its two holds. Its main cannons fired energy beams capable of swallowing many smaller ships completely, and the 'smaller' cannons more than dealt with anything that might get by the energy shielding and the drone 'guards'. But pride of place, and the reason for it being given its name, was the Dragon Particle beam. Like a full-powered blast from the previous 'Cubes' (so named for their simple, if useful, configuration), it could crack a planet's crust and boil away the seas. But for the moment, it was being sent to pick up the ambassador and his entourage, including those fortunate slaves chosen to be part of it, and return them to Rudan Prime in absolute safety and security. It was expected, and it had been informed that it could enter the system's oort cloud and send one of its shuttles down to pick up the embassy. Currently, the truce between the Hegemony and the Divine Imperium held, and the Roanians wouldn't be the first to break it. The real reason the Imperial Dragon was coming to pay a visit, though, was as a demonstration that despite the recent horrors of the Orkish waagh, the Divine Imperium still held the strength needed to not only repel any Rothians, but also to turn around and crush the Hegemony in their iron gauntlet. What the Roanians knew, however, was that for offensive purposes, the gauntlet was empty, and even for the short stretch of time needed to launch an invasion of Hegemony space, the resources were lacking. There were only 3 dragons, two of which (SHIDM Star Dragon and SHIDM Dragon of the Light) hadn't even recieved a full crew, and there wasn't much desire to risk them.

However this ship, the first in the Dragon-class that would soon become the mainstay of the Divine Imperium's fleet once the factories were upgraded and the Imperium had totally recovered from the recent crises, nevertheless did appear in the recently conquered system. It was a quick visit, one which the Roanians had attempted to advise the Rothians over, though in the current chaos it was unknown if any message had gotten through. Certainly, there was no intention to stay for more than it took to remap the system as part of the Hegemony and thus extend the borders of Neutral Space. That was the whole point of Neutral Space, that you didn't visit the territories on the other side.

To the Roanians, though, this gave them a valuable opportunity, as the arrogant Rothians would no doubt believe that their technology/government didn't permit them simply to change the colour of a system on the map, but rather required new images to go with the change. Anyway, the plan was to appear, and then leave...

"Commander." One of the technicians looked up from his holographic display. "Something curious is going on in this system." Scanning revealed a curious occurence, as if the Rothians were...still engaged in combat?

The officer responsible ran her hands over her own console and frowned slightly. "It's not locals, that much is for certain." Available information on each ship, as well as possible matches for the nations, appeared on the screen next to the scanning read-out. "We've got Rothians, an Abh ship for whatever reason and...one of those absurd Balroggans. There are other ships, those seem to be the major ones."

Stellar Commander Calvino Necante frowned slightly. "Balroggans?" He asked, seeming both amused and surprised. "Why in the light would they have come down to our corner of the galaxy?" The Roanian leaned back in his seat and looked up at what the visual scanners were now showing.

"Probably looking for some more of those TCG 'ghosts'." His second guessed, and sneered slightly, the glow of his eyes reflecting nothing but contempt for the cares and concerns of humans. "None of these are worth the time it would take to investigate, so I recommend we leave them to their squabbles and return to our mission."

The Stellar Commander inclined his head forward slightly. "The Rothians have already noticed that we came to this system and have stayed longer than usual. Perhaps your advice is wise. I'm curious as to why these nations have gathered, but there is no purpose in such an investigation at this time, as you say. Prepare for the jump to Hegomony 1,1. Also, ready the shuttle."

The command crew busied itself. The AI chimed pleasantly, and then said, "Estimated time of arrival at Hegemony 1,1 marked as two hours and fifteen minutes. All crew, prepare for transfer to FTL." The Imperial Dragon turned, its immense engines flared, and then it vanished.

(I wrote this because I had an idea which we can discuss tomorrow, Nagge. If you don't like it, I'll delete it after we've talked.)

The Shields suffered blows once again. The Command-Carrier’s forward shields buckled, but held. The Torpedos impacted, once more crashing into the Command-Carriers Shields. The Shields dropped at the forward Quadrant, causing cursing from the Patriarch.

>To DESTROY!< he roared. Anger Surged through him as he looked at his target. His theatrics where forgotten, the target had to be eliminated. The ships pulled in, halted. Shots impacted, one of the Cruisers lost shields momentarily, its own weapons disengaging them, and 2 frigates suffered hull-scorches. The craft however no longer cared.

All craft hung where they stood, readying weapons. It took a few moments, nothing more, before the ships fired, letting loose a collection of energy. The Energy came from all directions, moving at speeds and crackling even in the void of space. Anti-matter was once more displaced at the ships, and the Balroggan felt the Fury of 12 Imperial Hegemony Craft.

Or…it should have. But the craft, mere nanoseconds before the weapons impacted, the quickly moving Gridspace Rupture swallowed the Balroggan vessel. The shots simply streaked on, while Anti-matter exploded in plumes of flame in space. The Commanding-Patriarch looked, stunned, as the Balroggan craft had ceased to exist before him.

>Enemy, Disengaged< The AI said, studying the area.

>Orders, keep watchful, send back the Morsal, The Council Call< the AI let the orders go, through the channels, and the Taledonian was displaced back to his vessel. The council was called, and soon they would gather. Gather directly after the Imperial Dragon had arrived.

The Balroggan vessel floated in the whirls of the Grid, it hung there. Within more time then it took for them to register where they where, a message had already been send.

I don’t know anything of this invasion you speak of. We were fired upon after providing information requested by their captain. We were hunting war criminals and were fired upon without due cause. Please provide us with the information or arrange us to meet with you in a neutral position.

The decision is not mine to make. Matters of war and invasion must be made by our superiors. If any captain were able to dictate Imperial Foreign Policy, then the number of alliances and wars would far outnumber the ships in the Empire. I will confer with them and deliver their answer.

But on principal, we can't walk away. I am asking on behalf of my movement, for assistance, we can offer you the territory, the money, and the removing of the Hegemony from the galatic scene, thus meaning one agressive force you need not worry about.

The ship sent a simple reply dictating the Balroggan vessel to follow it, which the vessel would do but the ship felt it nessersary to do so. Minutes later, the ships engines flared. It began to move away, its engines pushing forward.

The Balroggan vessel would follow, naturally, and eventually they would simply exit Gridspace. It would barely be noticable, as the ships slowed, they just hit a velocity where the transfere occured.

And so the ship moved, and where they came out was seemingly, in the middle of no where. Before them, an Asteriod floated through the void, lifeless for several Microseconds, before it awoke with fury, its energies spiking as it readied defencive messures. The Balroggan vessel was doused with EMC to halt any tracking devices, then the vessels where both brought onto the rock.

Which then promptly began to speed up, and at a certine velocity, simply enter the Grid.

+-+-+

In the massive rock, ships hung attached to the various tubes. So far, only machines moved around, but a tube extended to the Balroggan vessel, and a drone, slaved to the Rocks AI-Core., floated there.

~Let the Drone in, it will act as our ambassador.

"We cannot, there is no interior space in the vessel. It is solid machinery and there is nothing here to be considered habitable space. Please wait a moment while we restructure part of the vessel to allow a space and environment suitable for the drone. If you wish, I could also come out and we can speak out there."

Sensor readings would show their message was true. The ship was indeed solid and it massed an incredible amount, almost that of a small sun.

The surface near where the boarding tube tried to attach began to boil and churn as the material of the ship seemed to crawl under the ebony skin of the hull. After a few moments, a door appeared where the tube attached and it opened. Inside was a small room with a comfortable chair. The chill air was rapidly warming as it attempted to match that of the tube.

A humanoid form materialized and indicated the drone should take a seat.

"I shall, decline" the Drone said, simply floating. The machine was a ellispoid, about 30cm across. Around a field was extended, keeping it aloft. "There is no need. Now to buissness."

The drone dipped for a Millisecond, before the lights dimmed [A request it made], the machine turned darker, and from its surface a projection came alive.

It was of the area of space known as the Hegemony, a space, labled "Netural", and then on the other side a space labled "The Divine Imperium of Roania".

"This, my new friend, is the position as it is." the map zommed into the Hegemony, "The Hegemony is a military machine. To put bluntly, they are a threat to the galaxy as a whole. Unchecked, they could be THE superpower in...5,000 years" The map showed the position of ships, which where moving, clustering near the border of the Netural Space. "Once there, it would be difficult to dislodge them, hence, we are moving now. The Hegemony is planning to begin an invasion of the Divine Imperium." the map moved as the projected ship movments occured. "This will be in 3 Weeks. Once the war begins, our ships intend to begin heavy striking." the drone turned. "Ship for ship, we our vessels are a match, but the Hegemony outnumbers us 10-1, at least. Troops held up in Roania will help, but we need your assistance.

Once the Hegemony moves its forces into Roania, to effectivly bring in more troops to the Capital would take a week. What we plan, is to strike when those ships are down. We intend to crush the capital, then move in and destroy the battle fleets in roania one by one. We need your assistance only in this battle. You will have permission to leave, consider your plans, so when the time comes, we shall call you. Is this acceptable?"

“I believe that might work out fine. Please upload all sensor data of the area where the battles are going to take place and we will do our utmost to assist.”

The entity paused a moment.

“Forgive me, I didn’t introduce myself, I am Captain R’Ark. We feel it would be best to meet this other nation so we can understand their combat styles. It would help us fight better if one hand knew what the other hand was doing.”

“When you can arrange the meeting, please let us know and we will attend. Is there anything else we should know?”

And now, for your data"

Infomation would flood into the balroggan vessel, locations, battle plans and other such.
