Super Soldier [Semi-Open]
The general walked down the hallway side by side with the scientist.
"I hope you have something worthwhile to show me," the general said, "I was in the middle of a report."
"Trust me, you'll want to see this," said the scientist, "If you'll come along to the excersise area?"
A pane of wire enforced fiberglass looked on to a room where a group of soldiers stood. A door on the other side of the room opened. Suddenly three of the soldiers were bowled over, their weapons skittering to the other side of the room. The general registered a slight blur.
"That's Codename Fleetfoot," said the scientist, "Super speed." Three others emerged from the door. In the front of them was a huge blond man.
"Codename Beowulf," said the scienist. Several men with pistols fired at him, but he ignored the bullets and charged, "Enhanced strength, and he can stand up to small arms fire." Meanwhile, one of the other two, the only woman in the group, lifted her hands. Several more soldiers were sent sprawling. "Codename Morgan le Fey. Concussive or thermal blasts."
The final man dove into a group of soldiers, striking out with his hands and feet. "Codename Hood. Nothing as showy as the others, but he has enhanced speed and agility, as well as somewhat enhanced strength. In addition he's a master martial artist. The future is here, General."
The general looked on in astonishment.

ooc: interesting, but how do these troopers compare to my nations cyborgs?
ooc: interesting, but how do these troopers compare to my nations cyborgs?
OOC: Well, it should first be noted that this is taking seperately from NS canon, as can be seen in the OOC/Signup thread. Second, I imagine it depends on the specific trooper, although I don't have the data on your cyborgs in front of me.
Last bump before I accept that no one cares.
OOC: You can't seriously expect people to reply instantaniously. Most of the time, people reply bidaily if even that.

Nicolas Rasthor, self-proclaimed ruler of the new Empire of Russia, paced down the halls of the Imperial Palace. The dictator had recently heard news of a new weapon of great power, he had sent someone to investigate the manner further and now that person was late.
Emperor Rasthor furiously checked his watch again then continued to pace the halls of the palace, contemplating what punishment would be appropriate for such tardiness.

Discreet telegrams were sent to the leaders of Russia, China, Britain, the US, Canada, Australia, and France. They read as follows.
To Whom it May Concern
As you are probably aware, many nations, possibly including yours, are on the verge of completing, or have completed, development of supersoldiers. This has the possibility of drastically shifting the balance of power in the world.
Therefore, GennCom, a company dedicated to the development of supersoldiers, would like to offer you a contract to develop supersoldiers, with powers of your specifications, for one trillion dollars a year.

VlerGen Genetics Test Facitilty, Somewhere in the Cillar Desert, Crimson Vaal Protectorate
Dr. Harpov observed the large field that had been carved out of the exsisting terrestrial cavern. Though located many units underground, the facility's security was top notch. Nothing got in or out without being checked and scanned.
Today was the final test for his project, codenamed AKIMO, for Attack, Kill, Infest, Move On. The entity produced did exactly that, and made more of itself when it did attack targets. Extremely efficient in his mind. Harpov looked at the bunker that had been set up, and the "volunteers" that patrolled it. The men on the bunker had come from the prison facility located near the edge of the desert. Harpov wrote down the start time and punched the large red button, unleashing his work onto the unsuspecting prisoners.
The lights went down and the light then focussed on the center of the large space, the bunker. The gates around the outside opened and then all was quiet. He saw glimpses of his sickly creations as they moved into a small group. There were only five of them against the thirty inside the bunker, but Harpov was sure his AKIMOs would do thier job. He has insisted that the soldiers be equipped with live ammunition instead of stun rounds, as his AKIs wouldn't take prisoners.
The AKIMOs then bounded towards the bunker, one man saw the shapes move and fired a sustained burst. The AKIs sidestepped and one leaped into the air, jumping almost eighteen units onto the man, and ripped him apart. The AKI's armour glistened in the light as a shiny silver glow stained with red. The rest of the pack ran along the outside, bringing all the men down on the perimeter. The rest inside the bunker fired in fully automatic mode. One AKI took the rounds in the chest, it whimpered slightly and dropped to the ground, leaking blue and red blood. The other four spread out and came at the bunker from all angles, they ran past the firing slots and ripped the wooden door to pieces. Harpov didn't see what happened inside, only flashes of light, then nothing.
The AKIs moved outside with a sullen gait, and limped towards their fallen comrade. They let out whimpering sounds until the area was flooded with chloroform. This was a necessary precaution as the AKIs were known to attack with brutal efficiency. Harpov checked his watch. Total elapsed time: Fifty-seven seconds. He wrote this down on his notepad and left the observation room...
30 Miles North of Kesson & O'Connor Industries Biological Research and Development, Bellingshausen Sea
The Cargo plane thundered through the ice storm. In the belly of the plane were some of the world's best and brightest engineering minds, from MIT to Tokyo U. Accompanying them was an assortment of sleds, dogs, biological equipment and a team of 20 young men in peak physical condition. The plane shuttered. Two men, the project managers sat in the cockpit, with the pilots. "Why the hell are we doing this again?"
"Because both Kesson and O'Connor said so."
"Why this? Weren't they comfortable making weapons and trading iternational stock?"
"Apparently not."
The first man grunted. The other turned to him.
"I don't know how much they think they can get on this, but I heard that they liquidated all of their assets on the Nikkei for this."
"What? Thats well over..."
"I know. That and apparently one of their mystery clients paid a heavy principle on this. They want a status report by friday?"
"Friday?"
"Yes. These aren't the only eggheads that've come in. Already over 200, working morning, noon and night."
"I'm not sure if I want to see what they've come up with."
"We'll probably come away rich. Filled with self-hatred, but filthy stinkin' rich."
