The red light on the video camera started blinking, and Noor Kami, the news caster, smiled and spoke.

"Good evening, citizens of Lolitaland. Breaking news, in a landslide victory Anastacia Ori has take the position of Most Serene Leader. Her opponents offered little resistance, as she took a staggering 86% of the total vote. In a moment, we will be going live to her inaugural address."

The stage manager nodded, and Noor relaxed, as the public was now viewing Ori, the new Leader.

Outside the Grand Hall of Freedom, Kyovich, Lolitaland

Video cameras panned over the crowd of Lolitans kneeling in the open courtyard of the Grand Hall of Freedom, the historical meeting and living space of Lolitaland's leaders. Dressed in their finest Victorian fashion, the crowd was eagerly awaiting the first speech of their first democratically elected leader.

Silence came suddenly as Anastacia walked across the stone entranceway of the building, having come from a side exit, and stepped in front of the podium erected for her. She stood calmly for a moment as her guards, two army officers dressed in perfectly pressed parade uniforms, took up position behind her.

"Most Serene Comrades," Anastacia's voice rang out through perfectly hidden speakers, echoing in the silence of the courtyard. "I am most honoured that you have so decidedly chosen me to lead you and Lolitaland into a new age of peace and glory. In our time, we have suffered and persevered through the most difficult of times, but we have come through. You are now prepared to push forward into the future, and I am proud to lead you on a new path. Lolitaland is strong, you are strong, we are strong! To move forward, we must move into the realm of the international. We must forge bonds with our neighbours, make friends and allies. We will work to make Lolitaland stronger, both inside and out. May we all live peacefully today and always."

Anastacia closed her short speech with the traditional phrase of hope, and smiled as the audiance applauded calmly. Whereas another nation's population would have been making their happiness apparent both vocally and physically, the native citizens of Lolitaland are practically incapable of such behavior. Anastacian bowed to her audience, tilting her head slightly, then turned and made her way back around the building and disappeared from view, followed by her guards.

[OOC: Although I'm not new to NS, it's been awhile since I've RPed here, and so I hope this is acceptable... I'm also looking to trade embassies, forge diplomatic relations, or get involved with other nations in pretty much any way except war... feel free to TG me if you're interested.]

The Caesar sent Demetrios Lascaris to meet Anastacia. He landed in the Lolitaland airport and waited to be greeted.

Waiting for the representative of the Ceasar was Oki Rostov and two members of the Personal Protection Force.

"Thank you for coming," Most Serene Comrade Rostov said, shaking Mr. Lascaris' hand. "I am Comrade Oki Rostov, a member of the staff of the Foreign Diplomacy Office."

Demetrios shook Rostov's hand and said ''I am Demetrios Lascaris, offical of the Caesar.'' ''I have been sent to discuss things like trade or defense.''

Demetrios was getting along well with the people of this land, so far he was.

" This is President Petsin's Presidential transport, requesting premission to land at your airport, over"
" once we safely land, our escort will part, over"

Demetrios shook Rostov's hand and said ''I am Demetrios Lascaris, offical of the Caesar.'' ''I have been sent to discuss things like trade or defense.''

Demetrios was getting along well with the people of this land, so far he was.

"This way, we'll take you to the Grand Hall of Freedom, where you will be staying for the duration of your visit to our Most Serene Nation."

Rostov led Lascaris outside, where a sleek black sedan was waiting to take the men to the Grand Hall. He opened the door for his guest and the guards, then climbed in himself.

"The Most Serene Leader Ori is excited to meet with you, one of her strongest desires for her term is to improve diplomatic relations with our neighbours."

''I hope to have a excellent stay in the Grand Hall.'' Demetrios said.

''I am excited to meet Anastacia too. We sometimes use Anastasia for her name.'' Demetrios said.

He got in the limo and he admired the scenery.

" This is President Petsin's Presidential transport, requesting premission to land at your airport, over"

An air traffic controller cleared the plane for landing, clearing airspace to allow the escort to move on freely.

In the airport, Most Serene Representative Elli Mann and her escorts awaited the landing.

"What do they call themselves?"

OOC: Just trying to do something slightly original, can't blame me for trying.

He got in the limo and he admired the scenery.

"Our Grand Hall is one of the finest buildings in Lolitaland, and I am sure that Most Serene Leader Ori has had it prepared to the best of our ability. We take pride in our ability to make our guests comfortable and happy, as we are ourselves," Rostov explained.

The car turned down a treelined drive, one lane wide, that pulled through a lovely garden and stopped in front of a grand stone building. Rostov climbed out, as did the guards. "Here we are."

Preisdent Petsin walks of the plane and is soon swaped by reporters.
