This rp is set in the near future (2010). It will be set in Cuba. Here is the story: Fidel Castro, the dictator of Cuba dies several years earlier and the nation has been in turmoil ever since. Communists, pro-democratic forces, and other factions have been fighting for control of the fractured island. The cities and country-side are unsafe as rebel factions kill and pillage. The UN is desperate in its' attempts to restore order and security. Many rebel factions see the UN presence as a threat. A week before this rp takes place, a UN Peacekeepers convoy was ambushed and cut to pieces, leaving very few UN troops left. What part will you play? Will you fight to control the island as a rebel faction? Or struggle to bring peace?

To not make everyone who is in the embassy, it'll be the UN Headquarters in Havana, Cuba. So that you can be from your nation or a real one. The rp will start out before the attack on the embassy, to set the stage.

I'll join in as the United Republic of Shinrita.

My units are independent from the UN, and will provide support as soon as they arrive to the theatre of combat. They are going to secure Shinritan citizens and businesses on the island, as well as bringing peace back.

I would like to play as a UN member trying to maintain order while the embassy is being seized, he will be from the United States of America. He will be a marine detailed to guarding the american part of the embassy acting as a guard.

Franberry, you can be your own peacekeepers and or staff in the UN compound.

My charactor and other marines on this guard detail will follow under nato commands in absence of their commanders, it only makes sence. He will happen to be a corporal, therefore able to give commands to soldiers under him in absence of brass.

Info: Heights joined the united states marine corps dreaming of the army his whole life. The neibourhood he grew up in was inhabited by streets gangs, after being thrown in jail for a car theft in his Hispanic Los Angeles neibourhood, it resulted in a gun fight and one man was killed, Jose realized that it was time to take advantage of his dream when he got out, he was granted early release due to the evidence that could be un covered and the charges with assosiation were dropped and the actual killer was locked up. Jose Heights excelled in his courses and finally realized the us marine corps was the only place in the world for him. After hard training and preperations he took a posting at the embassy in Havana/Cuba. The young corporal did his job the best way he knew how, he had a point to make especially after Castro died..the conflict between the united states and Cuba was finally settling down.

ya from my nation and the game takes place in 2010 VC is dead and after political instability the Ghosts are sent in to help sacure Democracy

Well, mine involves the UN's struggle and such. It's similar but not the exact same. I haven't even heard of that game.

ok then, due to a poor road system that has deteriorated since castros death the chines troop crawlers will make slower pace. they will also have to accomodate the walkking troops that will be watching for anu rebel factions that might try to spring on the convoy

A rebel group. Amazonian Beasts or someone else can claim responsibility. On the main thread I'll post a news report on the attack.

I haven't really decided.

It really opens up a whole new side to the conflict. After the initial conflict mabey a rescue mission could be set up to find any survivors, or locate the "perps"

That's part of the rp. First part is leading up to the siege, second part is the siege itself, the third part is the rescue attempt, and the fourth will depend on what happens in the third part.

I'll gladly take responsibility...my group is sorta like Al-Quaeda in Cuba.

Okay. Like I said before, for the rp, I'll post a news story on the attack on the convoy. I make reasonable guesses on the UN dead, captured, and wounded. I intend to have only 100 Kulikovian Peacekeepers and a few hundred aide workers, staff and others in the Un compound.

Yeah, i think i will be working with about..5 or 6 marines in the embassy and about 100 or so on the outside. Medical staff and logistics will be included aswell.

I informed some buddys about this rp, i wanna get it on the go :)

i'm thinking that a pair of kirisuban agents trying to steal state secrets from the embassy could work here.

they're also there to keep an eye on events and intervene if it looks like the UN forces are getting results. we are anti-un as you may have guessed already!

its a black op off course and if they're captured or killed the KSS will deny everything :)

They hardly hold it. havana is hardly under UN control anymore.

The UN was going to oversee elections of a government. But their first step was to restore law and order on the island. However, the rebel groups beat back the Un and then the disasterous attack on the convoy happens.

Scattered groups, within some cities, sometimes out in the jungle. Not very large groups while they're on their own.
