The Byzantines in Japan

Byzantine Japan
24-04-2006, 22:58
Ever since the 1450's in which Byzantine refugees and soldiers conquered Japan, the Caesars of Japan ruled from New Constantinople (RL Tokyo). Japanese culture florished and it sometimes mixed with the Byzantine culture. Shinto, Buddhism and Orthodox Christianity became the state faiths and the Caesars were well respected. The current caesar is Thomas III (may change). He ruled over an empire (I am planning this part out) and ruled it from New Constantinople.

However, it was time for him, he thought, to open diplomatic relations with other nations. He had this letter written:

''To all nations
From: Caesar Thomas III of the Byzantine-Japanese Empire

Byzantine Japan would like to open diplomacy with the nations of this world. We ask that nations open embassies in our empire and perhaps open negotiations with our nation for things like alliances or trade agreements.''

It is in the present time, I suppose, the Byzantines stayed in Japan since the 1450's.

Just to confirm, this is a modern Japan which has been under the Byzantines since the 1450's.

OOC-A factbook? That would be good, I've written out some of my history on Microsoft Word or what not. It involves Constantine XI, his brothers, Grand Duke Lucas Notaras, Anna Notaras and others.

When they arrive, we will let them establish themselves.
