Drel and Drakanat
((OOC: These are both my sattelite's, so no, I'm not god moding))
Drel and Drakanat have been subjugating minor nations and slowly chiseling out a full half of the Cantrian island together. Officially they're two seperate nations, but Drakanat has in truth ruled the twin nations.
Only a few months ago Drel changed itself from a Queendom to a capitalist paradise. Their income has boomed, poverty is non-existant, and so are the old ultra-feminist ways that Drakanat still carries. Growing more and more angry with Drel's sudden change of heart, Drakanat has finally thrown down the gauntlet and provided Drel with an ultimatum: become annexed to Drakanat or be annexed forcibly.
And so it begins...
------------------------------------
Jane had been in the army in the old days, back when Drel still favored women. Jane still believed that she and her gender were superior, of course, but she could live with males in the ranks: the lower ranks. She just hoped she didn't live to see them break Lieutanant.
She was snapped out of her thoughts by the approaching army. They'd occupied and modernized an old Drellan castle. Some rebels had holed themselves up in it and after they'd been taken care of it was made into a garrison. There hadn't been any other rebellions in the seven years since.
Drel, according to the government, had everything going for them. First off, Drakanat's big production was cheap and efficient cars. All well and good for peace time, but Drel's arms manufacturing industry could rather easily be turned to war. Furthermore Drel had a large amount of people totally willing to join the army. In Drel there were no down trodden, no abused populace. In Drakanat, the entire male population fought only because the whips of the women were at their back.
"As it should be." Jane thought. A pity the men didn't realize how much more efficient such a system would be. And then, of course, Drakanat had sheer manpower. Drakanat had twenty million fewer citizens than Drel. That led to several thousand more soldiers.
Overhead the bombers were already preparing to bomb the artillery unit approaching the castle relentlessly. Even with modern defences, the old castle would be easily destroyed. Steel supports and concrete seals didn't totally make up for the age and material of the castle. It was not meant to stand up to artillery.
The sound of anti-air fire filled Jane's ears. The battle had officially begun.
"Snipers!" she called out, "Alpha maneuver!" Take out enemy officers. Hot lead was the best solution for good tactics. Hot lead and numbers.
"Artillery!" The bombers were making a second pass. They'd made excellent progress. The enemy artillery had been practically bombed flat, but it was still not enough. The few surviving artillery units were enough. The massive BLAM of an artillery gun firing filled Jane's ears. The shell fell toward the castle along with about two dozen friends.
We have them outnumbered, outgunned, and outmoraled, thought Jane. We can't lose. Even if we're on the wrong side, we can't lose. Her last thought.
------------------------
"That's it, the castle's fallen." Marianne grinned just a little upon hearing the news. "First Fort Armguard, than the Drel East Highway, than the capital of Drel City. The remaining garrisons will surrender from there. All too easy."
((OOC: Random geographical information, Drel and Drakanat are located, along with Dianas Walden Nation and of course Cantr, on the Cantrian Island. Interfere if you will.
Drel is has four highways, one for each cardinal direction, and garrisons at the mouths of each one. Each major city of which there are three is also garrisoned. It is heavily irrigated and full of farmland. It also produces massive amounts of steel. Drakanat is a maze of roads and towns, and its' army is spread across them and the eastern edges of Drel.))

Sorry, the Supreme General is laughing too hard to respond. This is the Chief Advisor.
And I can barely type I'm laughing so hard!
Very well, just watch! Attack again, and well... heh heh... You will see. And it won't involve a WMD... No. You aren't worthy of that... not yet, anyway.

SIC to Pythogria:
Should these nations become a problem, inform Geneticon and we will help deal with them.

OOC: Go right ahead.
Let's go buy some "Frost" and introduce these nations to it!
OOC: I see your point about the puppets, but, supposing that they were other people, they would act in the same manner.
SIC: The prophet and High Priests of Adrius warn their nation to act peacefully whenever possible, and that Adrius will not suffer His people to be conquored.

OOC: Not likley... seeing how he was trying to HELP the nation defend itself. That same nation wouldn't trun around and attack him just for trying to help.
Now... I would have no problem with it if it had been RPed and the declaration of war was justified.
All it takes is a little effort...

OOC: Yeah, I'd probably be in.
Then again, you'd have to RP army production or procurement... and I'm positive I have way more stuff than one or two of his nations, and likely more than all 8 combined.

Secret IC, in Cantr City...
"Nalaris, you're still in touch with the Patriots, correct?"
Nalaris looked up from the electronic mountain of work in front of him. Being sub-ruler of the Cantrian Empire had its drawbacks.
"Aye, one useless operation isn't enough to deter them, not after I convinced them we'd taken out a key air superiority installation."
Seth chuckled over the intercom. "You do have a way with words. Come into my office. The soundproof one. I need to talk to you privately."
"Ooh, so what's today's secret I wonder." Nalaris said to himself after he switched off the intercom. Probably something to do with the Drel/Drakanat war. Seth had wanted to occupy both nations for a while.
--------------------------
"Do you remember the Soldier X project?" Seth asked Nalaris as soon as he had closed the door.
Nalaris locked it and said "The genetically engineered super soldiers? Yeah, that rings a bell...my heck, that was years ago."
"Seven years ago, actually. The first batch is ready for testing."
"We're sending seven year olds into battle, now? That's a tad bit extreme."
"No, they age at double the normal rate. They're about fourteen now, and we're not sending them into battle. I thought that they'd be old enough for an assasination."
"Assasination? I like it so far. Who?"
"Pythogria's Chief Advisor. And kidnap their Supreme General."
Nalaris had never heard of any of them. "Can I get any more details?" Seth handed him the telegram. Nalaris barely bit back a chuckle. "Without using WMD's? Smart move. We're WMD proof." Cantr has so many anti-missile turret's it didn't begin to be funny.
"Let's see how hard they laugh when a Soldier X submachine gun is filling them with hot lead."
Nalaris loved putting the smug in their place.
---------------------
"Soldier X!"
"Yes sir!" though technically a query, the phrase was shouted. Nalaris couldn't wait to test these guys out. They looked amazing.
"It's time for your first field exam. Our primary objective is to kill and/or capture the Chief Advisor and Supreme General of Pythogria. Secondary objectives are to disable every weapon we find. Ecspecially look for the bruisers. It looks like Pythogria intends to steamroll us with numbers, and if we let them they will. First off, scout them. I want to know what their weakspots are and how to exploit them. Stay incognito. This is what we've been training for."
((OOC: Soldier X can definately find out what border geography is like, probably find out what the weakspots are, and depending on how easy it is to enter your nation (remember they're fourteen year olds, so few would suspect them) they may be able to get in and locate cities. Just tell me what your nations like. Give me something to work with.
Also, our region, the Cantrian Island, was made to provide a united front against foreign invasion. That's why we exist. If you threaten one, you threaten all. And we're not all one person. We just have some sattelite nations which will mostly stay in the background unless directly attacked.
You get booted from our region if you refuse to defend other Islanders from foreign invasion. Tee hee.))

OOC: Yes... but didn't this entire thing start because one of your nations was attacking another nation within this specific region??

Aye, but I happen to be a strategician. Do you just intend to say "my guys go to X location and start shooting at your guys"? Because if so, prepare for a nasty shock.
This should be fun.
As to the above question, yes, it did. Wars within are perfectly acceptable on the Cantrian Island. We only unite against invasions from without.
Well, Pyth, I'm waiting...

Amazonian Beasts

OOC: Ah, time for steam-rolling...I'll hop on board to flex my military muscles.
IC: Pythogria, though a very capable nation, was now pitted against numerous of these smaller wastelands, no doubt some which may try and use desperate measures in defense when the Pythogrians came in to invade. So the Amazonian Dominion took it as the time to ready for war. No openly overt action was made to convey a sense of war to the opponent aggressors, but an encrypted "smart" transmission was sent to the Pythogrian defense department alerting them to the Dominion's plans.
To the Pythogrian Department of Defense:
The dogpiling on your nation from these smaller welps has attracted the ire of the Amazonian Dominion. This scum of the Earth does not deserve existence; rather, we intend to help you steamroll them into the ground and subjugate these nations.

Neither me nor Amazon are in this war ICly yet.
I just don't understand why the nation Pyth is trying to help would turn on him just because he's trying to help him... that make no sense at all.

We suggest you retract that. Amazonian Beasts is a little too tough for you. Far too tough, actually. Let me see what he has to say.
I promise you that you're not going to be able to fight both alliances, Roubos.
As for Pythogria, Adrius is attempting to resolve the issues peacefully (or so he tells me), Cantr is scouting you. There's plenty to respond to.
I need to know what the basic geography or your nation is like (just one terrain type would do if you're lazy).
Adrius needs to know if you'll accept his offer of a peace conference (a Cantrian and Drellan representative will be there if allowed. Drakanat, however, is far too high and mighty to attend.)
An addition to the previous statement by cantr, Cognito Maximus will also be attending, if allowed.

OOC: I made my move. No response. I can therefore assume that my twenty-ish man scout force is capable of seizing the nation.
If he wants to debate that, he's free to do so. With guns if he wants. But for now, I made a scouting expedition and he made no reply as to their results.

A claim like that is likely to get an ignore cannon. You need to send a TG.

Well... it comes at a price. Your nation must make us an offer. Highest bidder gets our support. From there, the first nation to make an open act of war, as determined by us, on the nation that has our support, will suffer the wrath of our huge arsonal of nukes. Thus we see that we are a war deterent.

One thousand and twenty, actually. I got reinforcements. Man, I didn't think I'd be able to occupy the place.
"She's in sight?" The voice was cold and metallic.
"Yes sir." the man replied. He had a sniper rifle, and the purpose of his mission was painfully clear to any who would be watching: assasinate Drakanat's general before she could turn her attention back to Drel. Of course, noone was watching except for another man with a supressed submachine gun. In fact, this man was the reason noone else was watching.
One bullet flew true, piercing the night with its scream.
