As Ri-an becomes more and more open to the international community, we find it may be helpful to write a bestiary, a collection of the most dangerous non-human bests.
First, the Aquamarinians.
The average adult Aquamarinian is approximatly 6 feet long, from head to the bottom of all eight tenticles. Males differ from females cisually, in one fasion onlym the females have brightly colored patterns covering their entire body. What's intresting, is that like a human thumbprint, each body pattern is unique, and even twins tripletts, and the like have unique patterns.
All males, are a single uniform dark Grey, with absolutly no distinguishing characteristics. All Aquamarinians have Aquamarine blue eyes, and, if speaking verbally, sound the same, though females have a slightly higher voice, but to non-aquan ears, the diffrence is negligible, and unnappreciable.
The Average Aquamarinian lives approximatly 12 years, though there are exceptions. Aquamarinians hatch from eggs, guarded by their parents. At the time of hatching, their brain and body parts are complety formed, if rather small. The average baby Aquan is only 6 inches long, tip to tip and their psionic powers remain dormant for four years. At birth, baby aquans generally float about, growing bigger, and remain closly guarded by their parents. During that time, they become more and more active, and slowly learn to swim, and crawl, as well as speak. At six months, they are then sent off to school, to grow more, and develop for the next 3 and ahalf years, during which time they are taught all basic knowledge, half of which, would be considered as advanced by less intelligent species. At four years, their psionic powers activate, and they are taught to use them, as well as pick a career path, after which, they are taught and develop according to their chosen paths, and a mate and a city to live in is picked by the government according to need and personel information.
All Aquamarinians have an internal shell, like some lesser known species of octopus. They also have organs in their body, which allow them to keep small electric charges in their bodies for self-defense. As well, they can release ink clouds in aquatic invironments. They are not very strong however.
All Aquamarinians have strong psionic powers which enables them to do many things. one of which, is quickly learn foreign languages, by copying the knowledge to their brains, like a computer copies a file from one directory to another.
Current well known Aquamarinians, and their variations:
King Aqua: King Aqua is the same as any male Aqua, except, he, and he alone is milk white. His psionic powers are much stronger, and he has lived for such a length of time, that even Elves, who are known for living long lives indeed, would find his life abnormally long. What is the reason behind this? no one knows for sure, and there are many rumors flying about, each more wild than the last.
Gareens: Gareens are a curious race. Extremly strong, yet extemly stupid. Seriously, someone once suckerpunched one finve times in a row, in five seocnds, by using the exact same "look over there" line. He promptly died moments later because his head suddenly became detached from his body.
The average Gareen, has two arms. Their skin, looks like a massive set of shells, yet its all muscle. A single punch is strong enough to crack most rocks. They do not have any form or style of clothing, yet no reproductive organs are visable. It is thought that they are Asexual, but this is a misconception, because there is absolutly no diffrence between males and females, at all. They stand on average about 7 feet tall, and have brown eyes, and yellow skin.
Gareen intelligence rivals that of nearly every non-sentient species in creation. It is remarkably easy to out wit them, and even simple math like 1+1 confuses them to no end. They are also prone to frequent violent outbursts, and have a virtually no temper at all. Only the intercedence of The Aquamarinians has saved this species from self-extinction, as Gareens love to violently harm one another for sport. Breeding experiments are underway to produce more intelligent, more temperamental Gareens.
Also, Gareens are known for attacking anything and everything around them, beware.
