OOC: Yep. It is called Slovania (the nation that it was before The Father and Kraven took it over) and AMF is currently occupying it. Kraven only exists in its slave states, mainly Whyatica.

1.) Kraven isn't a nation. It's a corporation. One would think that the name might give it away, but then who knows....

2.) The land formerly owned by the Kraven Corporation is now under Automagfreek's jurisdiction, which is a nation you probably didn't intend to carpet bomb.

3.) If you're launching the strike in Kraven-held Whyatica, Numonica, Concremo, Jagada, or any of the other slave states, there are enough SAM batteries and untold other defences to render every single B-52 and each of its bombs entirely useless.

4.) It'll take much more than a carpet bombing to destroy Kraven. Hell, AMF threw enough at Kraven to destroy most of the continental USA, and look where it is now.

The reason that you see so many Kraven threads is because Kraven is good at what he does. He plays the villain role very well.Everyone whose played around in II knows instantly what Capital Police are. He is one of the most well known villians in II.
And let's face it. International Incidents without proper bad guys is kinda lame. Good VS Evil makes for a good story.
Perhaps my sentiments are a consequence of my interest in good storytelling. I'd hate to see a day where there were no more major bad guys.

I can Understand your annoyance, but I've only actually started Two Wars since my return, its what I call, AMF Syndrome where everyone wants a peice of the big bad guy, to assertain their position in the NS power Heirarchy, if you want to Ignore me go ahead, thats not my problem, and I don't dwell on such matters, in the end, I do what I do because I love it, simple as that, as soon as I stop loving it, then I'll stop playing Nationstates....

I don't think that his slave states are actually puppets. They're just people he's subjugated.

*raises hand* I helped out in the first part ofthe Kraven war, but got bored when it basically turned into "1 b0mb j00!". There was effectively NO ground combat at the beginning of the war.

The slave states are nations Kraven has conquered and molded in the Corporation's image such as mine. I generally do what I want around NS as long as it fits in the IC image of "The Kraven Corporation".

No need to baet me man. I wasn't accusing anyone of anything. I've just got that picture, like I said. For instance I thought Whyatica to be Kraven's puppet - it appears I was wrong. I just noticed him ordering a ship for Kraven Corporation earlier today.

Like said, I don't personally care about that. If they are indeed different people, everbetter. I would be fine with him using puppets too, due the plotline, IC situation, his number of enemies and his RP skills.

Only nation I can think of that MIGHT have been a Kraven puppet was Concremo, a nation that I believe is dead now.

I still maintain Concremo, it was given to me by a friend who stopped playing, but I Couldn't post as Concremo on the forums, so instead I turned it into a Slave State, and from their and Xirniums coining of the term, it stuck, and grew..

Is that sarcasm? I can't tell (really, I can't).

I'm assuming for him to make money from alliance, he'll need to have his technology relatively similiar to the ones here. Hence it'll be around MT-PMT. Low orbit asteroid mining isn't a cheap thing to pull off. Not to mention markets you have to open up for these things, trade routes and building machines that would transport them.

Also, the switch a renewable economy isn't a very strong economy to begin with. Renewable would mean that other nations would most likely have them already, as they replenish themselves in other areas. With all the things he is doing for this, he's going to lose alot of money from maintenance, labour and to actually look for these things.

His competitors will probably not have to lower their prices, as once the supplies are sold, he'll be out of business and they'll have to not worry about losing to a new market.

Though that's just me. Go ahead and shit all over my theory.

We are philosophically green so we want to drive all the oil economies out of business and replace them with a renewable base. Initial losses would be acceptable. We have already been selling wind barges, solar, ethanol, hybrid electric cars, trains, and boats, biodiesel and hydroelectric in quantity by 2012.

Here is the base:
Renewable base: Biomass energy-- biorefineries which are analogs of oil refineries, solar power satellites, solar windows, solar cells, wind power, wave energy generators, bioshelter sewage-- produces methanol and fertilizers, hydroelectric-- 20% of our energy comes from this already, OTEC, and geothermal. Not as weak as you'd think. By 2025 60% of liquid fuel could be biomass, including soya based jet fuels. This could possibly outproduce the current economy with solar power satellites. Also begin building mass production of sonofusion generators in 2020. Test reactors for sonofusion were built in 2004. (PMT would allow this but not MT). It is very controversial. Half life of sonofusion waste is 20-40 years theoretically.

Access to space: http://www.liftport.com by 2018 we have space elevators. Enough time to open the near earth asteroids to mining by 2020. 5 years and we have full asteroid mining. Mass driver asteroid mining ships. Throw bags of rocks to giant catch nets on platforms. Bags are lowered to the earth. Much more power than the original DC-X allowing it to reach orbit fairly easily. A nuclear thermal rocket gets to mars in 200 days. I think we would make it in about 150 days. The DC-X would be very reliable technology by PMT time.

By 2010 deep sea mining is instituted. By 2015 full recovery of ships and other material from the ocean floor is under way. We have the ability to recover ships right now. 10 years to develop the program.

You'd need to research all this and develop it in the first place. By stilll tying things from real life to in content its merely a source to show its plausible. The effort and exerted resources you are using could very well be only enough to pay back the amount lost in gaining this technology.

Not to mention the cost required in building these things.
