Since the amount of nations with colonies on Arterus is rapidly growing, land is bound to run out eventually, and expansion will take millitary tones. Add this to the ongoing Cravan/Kraven war and there is a recipe for large scale wars in this new continent, including invasions of otherwise peaceful nations. Therefore, to protect said peaceful nations, the Holy Empire of The Aeson has decided to establish a mutual aid pact.

Terms:
Article One: All nations that join must have claims in Arterus, and must not be part of any current ongoing war in Arterus, unless an exception is made by unanimous consent by all member nations.
Article Two:All nations will come to the assistance of any nation that is part of the AMAP if they are invaded.
Article Three:If a nation that is part of the AMAP declares war on a nation that is not part of the AMAP, other nations may choose to assist, or not.
Article Four: If a nation that is part of the AMAP declares war on a nation that is part of the AMAP, the agressor nation will be ejected, and the other nations in the AMAP will come to the invaded nation as indicated in Article Two.
Article Five: If a war breaks out between two nations that are part of the AMAP, and it is not immediately apparent which nation is the agressor, both nations will be suspended from the AMAP pending a decision.
Article Six: Any nation may, if they have reasonable ground, (genocide, absolute proof of plans to invade another member of the AMAP, etc.) call for the ejection of another nation. If this is to happen, a majority vote will decide whether the ejection should be carried out.

The major tribes on the border of our territory in your region (to the west and south) are knowingly hostile to us. They are supporting insurrections amoungst local tribes that normally would not be able to oppose us at this point by rallying them and smuggling weapons in to them. I am sending a similar letter to our army to the east of your position, and they are to do the same to the tribes threatening their region. Expect no reinforcements.

Perhaps you should have highlighted that they were knowingly hostile. We sent orders to our men to wipe out those that were knowingly hostile utterly. If we had left any alive, then they could have rallied more natives against us, which the tribes had already been doing. This would have resulted in more destruction of Errikan private property and further loss of life on the part of Errikan civilians. As the Errikan government, it is our first priority to protect our civilians lives and property as best we can and as efficiently as possible. Those natives were a threat to them, and thus it was our responsibility to destroy them.

If the dispatch had said to kill any natives you come across, or go out and hunt down all natives, then your accusations would be true. However, this was not the case.

Also, I have struck quite a bit of oil, which my refineries are busy refining. As soon as any gas is good I intend to pump in into as many tanks, ships, and planes as I can. I could get my oil companies on the same deal as the arms manufacturers, thus greatly simplifying our system.

When I talked about the arms deal here, I was talking to those who had not yet had it offered to them.

I thank you for your offer, but I have the short term defense covered. You should still work on your military, though, so that, should the war erupt, you can open up another front while Kraven is occupied at my borders.

Perhaps. However, I am hesitant to give up on peace in the region. I am still hoping that some of us will be able to manage some peace agreement. In the meantime, my newfound oil will support any military I have to mass in the area.

My shipping networks could easily smuggle whatever troops you want into my blockaded territory (they just go around the blockade, as the sorrounding territories allow me to pass through), then ship them to the battlefront with my trains. Also, any aircraft could be transported in the same fashion, and they are needed in the land war.

Parliament today has annouced that Jaredcohenia is to leave the Aterusian Mutual Aid Pact, reasons unknown. Could something sinister be brewing?

The Republic of Blaglug is initiating a motion to suspend Albu-querqian from AMAP for agressive actions towards other members. Furthermore, Blaglug votes to deny them membership in the first place if this effects the fromer vote by denying membership, Albu-querqian will no longer be a member of AMAP.
