It was a cold and rainy morning in the New Phoenix Milita` . . .
The gray clouds in the sky were punctured by rays from the rising sun and the only thing louder than the torrent of rain was the roar of jet engines flying overhead at supersonic speeds. The Field Marshall looked over the formation of Archangels to his left, the armored columns to his right and to the aircraft above him and said with certainty over the radio; "Today is a good day to fight!" The Archangels let out a boisterous chant, the tanks raised their barrels and the aircraft tipped their wings.
The technician sitting at the console looked to the Field Marshall who nodded to him. The technician then let out a sigh of relief and announced; "Chevron 7, Locked!"
With a familiar "kawoosh" the Stargate was opened. 10,000 years after it had been buried in the sand, on a planet now called New Phoenix, the Stargate came to life as if it had only been a brief moment.
When the unknown aliens rescued the TPM forces 100 years ago and brought them to New Phoenix, they had no idea there was a Stargate on the planet, it took them 98 years to find it in the ruins of an ancient human civilization, no doubt wiped out by the Goa'uld centuries ago. Now that the gate was restored, and the army ready, the Phoenix Milita` could retake its Earth homeland. . .
All of the aircraft and some of the vehicles had been modified to fit through the gate for this assault. Although little to no resistance was expected in the first day or so of this mission, as soon as spy satellites confirmed the identity of Phoenix Forces, someone of the many nations which saw to the destruction of TPM so long ago would attempt to drive them back through the stargate or annihilate them totally.
After a quick scan with an unmanned vehicle, Seville raised his sword and his forces began pouring through the Stargate. Once the foot soldiers and vehicles were through, the advance teams opened the silo doors, and then tilted the Stargate so that it pointed upwards, and the aircraft poured through, rocketing up through the gate and into the skies of Earth once more!

OOC: Sorry. I've realised I have far too much to do, and can't afford the time to contribute properly to this RP when it gets off the ground.
IC: The nation of Terror Incognitia detonated in a small nuclear fireball out of general embarrassment.

President Saltzman was sitting at his desk, looking over reports coming in from the fighting around Al Kahif and the growing situation in Orezia when a lieutenant-general entered with an aide following close behind, a report in hand with an alarming-looking title with the words Phoenix Milita. "There's not much happening now, Sir, but we should keep an eye on it... just in case things get out of hand."
The President nodded, "Have a division prepare for movement, in case we need to get some boots on the ground to stop them."
OOC: Tag for now.

Well, PMT is, correct me if I'm wrong, what is had now, in addition to what could be achieved in the next, let's say fifty years. Stargates don't fall under either of those, unless you're going with the theory that this is one found on earth, a la SG-1.
If any of these nations are alive still and want in on this you are all invited since you signd up for the war where u killed TPM back in the day...

...really? I guess its possible, I just don't really remember you ^_^
Would you happen to have a link to when that happened, so I can remind myself?
I don't RP anymore, but I suppose I could have a small alternate reality rp, to keep myself occupied for a bit :P

IC post coming soon.
"So The phoenix Milita has risen from the ashes once again, come from the pit we burried them in so long ago" said General Fairbanks III
"Damn why do you have to be so dramatic General" quipped one of his senior commanders."
"It's a dramatic situation..... noone's heard from them for 100 years and they show up with a gigantic army out of no where, in the middle of their old territory! We must mobilze all of our forces at once and take them out before they can do any damage to the fragile peace in this region." the General decided.
"Yes sir, I will take command of my division and meet the rest of our army at the rally point nearest the ol TPM border"
"Good hunting commander!"

"Sir I don't know what we just shot down but it had a picture of black phoenix on a blue backround.. on the tail.... tail number TD85701...." an infantryman reported to Seville who was reading over a radio transcript. He crushed the paper in his hand and mumbled under his breath..
"TYRRRRADOR! :upyours:"
"This changes things, start bringing surface to surface missile launchers through the gate and I want two reserve divisions over here ON THE DOUBLE!" the Field Marshall shouted.
"Sir, your command vehicle is here, shall we make for the black hills complex? see what's left of it?" asked a driver
"Yes soldier lets go right away have a full air wing escort us we need to get there before sundown, I want M56 radars and a full mobile anti air defense set up there before we arrive also" Seville said, speaking into his global radio.
As the Field Marshall entered his vehicle, rocket launches began all around the stargate facility, spy and communications as well as GPS satellites were being launched, space planes would be next... TPM's foothold on earth was re established once again.
Already special agents had been flown ahead of the regular forces and would be just now making contacts with any friendly civilians in the area, The Phoenix Militants who were left behind were still fiercely loyal and had always hoped this day would come.

The Field Marshall looked over his new office, looked like the general who had been in charge of it so many years ago was slob. "Oh well" he thought out loud as he swiped his arm across the desk to clear it off. A pair of specialists flanking him went to work setting up his computers.
"Alright I want this place locked down tight, active patrols here, here and here, company strength, and I want a 24/7 CAP until further notice, is that clear?!" he shouted.
As the sun set the Phoenix Militants prepared to spend their first night back on Earth, hunkered down in the vast Black Hills complex.
The nwly launched Odin surveilance sattelite gazed quietly down at the green and blue mottled orb it circled. Its unblinking gaze was focused through many lenses ath wide swaths of the planet below, steadily taking in vast quantities of information and relaying them to some unnamed secret complex millions of miles away.
The sattelite didn't know what it saw, that was the job of powerful computers and specially trainied analysts that would review the images, looking for patterns.
As the system had only reently been brought on line, the analysis computer spit out several hundred 'reports' a day. Reports were of things the computers complex image recognition software found interesting, masses of military equipment mostly, not very well hidden missile silos and dozens of false positives that were still being ironed out.
Once a data base had been made, the reports would only concern changes in military status and a few anomalous images, but until then, everything had to be checked by hand.
Martin Streep was one of the analysts that dealt with reports generated by sattelites moving over North America, specificaly the Former United States Territory. It was very fustrating, the FUSA was littered with abandonded military equipment, relics of old wars.
Just finishing a report on the old NTC, Martin picked up the next set of images in his que. Glancing at the location indicator, he noticed something odd, he didn't remember any battles fought There, no large bases or mobilised forces.
Searching through the images though, he quickly found clusters of serious military ordnance. noting the coordinates, he switched to an image taken a few seconds later and contrasted the two, Things were definately movng down there.
Quickly he sent the images and a hasty note up to the net level, from there it went spiraling throught he command structure where word began spreading that The Phoenix Militia was back. It wasn't long after that that a pair of RS-119 high speed/high altitude reconaisance planes were dispatched to check on things.
The 86th Division had been almost completely loaded onto ancient MagLev train cars, with the exception of support aircraft which would fly alongside the train.
At a speed of nearly 400mph, the train would reach the edges of Montana in just under 5 hours. The aircraft would fly low and slow, making many passes and circling ahead of and behind the train. It was unknown where exactly the track would end, since much of the area approaching Montana was bombed into the stone age, but the train carried an on board electromagnetic generator in case there was a simple power loss in the track. If the track was broken though, that would be another story. The trucks, tanks, IFVs and other vehicles would have to be unloaded from the train and drive an unknown number of miles to reach the former Phoenix Milita territory. But General Maynard did not care how long the journey would take. He had only one thing on his mind: revenge.

"Our satellites are picking up aircraft moving westward, in an unusual formation, they seem to be heading from ancient Tyradorian territory... wait, I think we.. yes confirmed, two fast movers approaching from a different direction, high altitude...." A new but well trained radar technician informed his superior.
"Long-range bombers?" Field Marshall Seville asked.
"I don't know, they are not heading directly for us though, looks like they are heading to the area we were a few hours ago." The technician said.
"Ignore them for now, focus on the threat from the East, get me better satellite imagery over that aircraft formation, ASAP! I want to find out if its actually Tyrador!" The Field Marshall yelled.
