Bioshelter sewage treatment—this sewage plant uses an ecosystem to process waste into usable products—fertilizer and methanol.

Biorefinery—This plant processes feed stocks like corn, wood chips, kelp, and grass into ethanol or biodiesel, animal feed, bioplastics, safe paints and chemicals. It is an analog to an oil refinery.

Multistory Integrated Organic Farm—This is a sealed farm building that contains a complete crop ecosystem that uses intensive soil beds, and hydroponics to creates a closed loop crop system. Includes a wide variety of crops and some small animals, chickens, fish in tanks, and small dairy goats.

Recycling Regenerative Life Support System—with advanced understanding of how biological systems work it becomes easier to create a recycling sytem that recovers water from showers, sinks, toilets, and other sources and scrubs and recycles air in a space ship.

Bioremediation Technology: Oil eating bacteria, low concentration fast die off. Will eat oil from spills slowly turning them into an easily cleanable brown goop.

Advanced Materials Science:

Plastex solar cell technology—this is clear solar panels that can be used in windows to power buildings. This greatly increases the energy capacity of buildings like windows. It is a thin film between two layers of heavy clear bioplastic harder than steel.

Unified Space Centre has completed the first World Tree at Xanadu. Anansi's Ladder is currently under construction. The Space Elevator should be completed by the end of the decade. Saplings have been planted in Itchia and Victoria City. We of the Melii would welcome an exchange of information.

Space Broom...Ground-Based system designed to clear satellite paths of space junk 1-10 cm. Can be upgraded and intergrated into an ion cannon array. Possible offensive/defensive applications. ABM or knock down enemy satelittes.

"Thor's Hammers"
PMT--dependent on Anansi Ladders for launch. Well they could still probably work with current tech...it just would
be rather expensive. Tens of thousand USD per kg to GEO. Cheaper to get nukes. But rocks are free in space....AND if the Hammers are utilized with an elevator or sky hook...Hammers are essentailly high tech rocks with advanced guidance systems. Kinetic weapons accelarated by a Ladder and gravity.

Mobile Bean stalks needs a Giga-Superdreadnought mobile base platform. Allows for movement of Ladder/Tree to avoid hostiles and micrometeors/junk. Fixed location will work too...just have to wiggle the string to avoid the garbage. or blast it with either ground based or Tree-based defenses.

Anansi Climbers--mobile units--superficially made to resemble spiders. Multiple uses--space construction, cargo lifters, and Tree repair and defense. Military and Industrial Resources Ant/Wasps varieties. They can extend the tunnels.

Anansi's Ladders
The web-thread of the Space Elevator. Attached to the Tree Base and Space Habitat. Beanstalks can be made for Luna and Mars with current tech but an Earth one will take some work.

We are also toying with the idea of a World Tree Habitat...it is rooted into a planetoid body: Luna, Pluto, Oort bodies Etc. The roots would draw various elements, compounds, etc... The trunk would be a space elevator/tether. Various bio-nanites and larger driod/conveyances will repair and protect the Tree. The main Habitats will be among the branches. Auxilary solar arrays and various other systems will act as leaves.

Growth cycle starts with seeding planetoid with the appropiate nannites or Von Neumann probes. With more massive bodies a cutting may need to remain in orbit. The smaller ones ought to be able to be built from the ground up. At maturity or on command the Habitats can form "seed ships" or spores. The solar wind will carry spores outward. The seed ships can be used to actively colonize or conquer.

Advanced Bio-systems would be very useful in such a space habitat. The organic AI, will make the Tree a growing entity. Weapons, propulsion, etc...will turn the Trees into viable spacecraft. They would even function as generational craft if the FTL or other Jump systems failed. Eventually, the Trees will evolve into Gaias...world conciousness...world ships.

Interesting stuff you've got there. Specifically, this "Recycling Regenerative Life Support System". So if it works on a spaceship, what about an aircraft-carrier, or a battleship? Cause logistics is giving my admirals a right pain in the arse.
For our end of the deal, how do titanium bones, rubber nerves, and muscle enhancement wiring sound? We can also throw in the implant equipment if you don't have the appropriate facilities yourself.

We will gladly supply you with this system in exchange for the rebuilt bodies. We can use this for space exploration. Specifically our deep space scouts.

The Recycling Regenerative Life Support System is a real system which is being developed currently. It would work on submarines, aircraft carriers, antarctic bases, deep sea bases, and any closed life support system, lowering requirements for logistics significantly. It would consist of the following modules. We first developed this for our undersea oceanic cities. It is practically impossible to go to Mars or build a deep ocean colony without it.

1) Air recycling and scrubbers. A splitting tank for getting oxygen from water is also available to replenish air supplies for submarines.

2) Waste water, toilet, and shower reclamation. Sonic scrubbers, low flow showers, and solid waste self cleaning toilets.

3) Food and oxygen from a dense biospheric garden to help reduce supplies for submarines aircraft carriers. CO2 would also be fed into the gardens for the plants. This also purifies and makes the air breathable again.

4) Incineration or processing for solid waste to be put back into the biospheric gardens. Also organic waste from food would be composted.

Looks good. As a side note, the modification is relatively safe when performed by skilled hands, and can be safely applied between the ages of ten and sixty.

Your answer to our last query?

These enhancement...they would extend life expectancy no? Have any of the Augments exhibited any less desirable traits? Sociopathy, Anti-Social, or Homicidal behaviors. They are still Human where it counts right? If they remain sane and socialable, The Dominion of Me Li and her Allies of the Isles of Mara would be very interested in these aids. We need to level the playing field with some Hamster Lovers, Demon-possessed, Evil Orders, Bottled Demons, etc...

We are more than willing to trade our ecotechnology for your world tree technology. We would be downloading the trade into the Final Encyclopedia also called Greater Synopticon of Entirty. Our goal is to collect in trade as much of human knowledge as we possibly can.

The operation would be of limited use. We intend to use the bio-nanites to regenerate some people in their old age for our scouting program. We would like to have very experienced people in the absolute peak of human health and ability to do deep space scouting. It would be a second chance for some people. They would not be able to go back to their previous lives. A completely new life for very experienced men and women exploring in the most dangerous regions of deep space. The missions would be from the outer edges of the colony worlds. Very few would pass the exams. Mental fitness and experience would be the requirement to try. The dangers are extreme. Many people would die from alien beasts, cosmic storms, and malfunctions in experimental equipment. If these enhancements made people more willing to take risks it would probably make it better for us.
