ooc: so far this is open to Sephrion, The Federal Union and myself and picked up from where chapter 2 ended.

ic: Asa Kodomo had wondered why she wasn't nervous about being home. As she walked round a busy New Kyoto city centre she waited for the right time to arrive at the rendevous point.

she certainly didn't look out of place in a pale pink kimono and the Sephrion Arms Tech agent finally spotted her contact who was to collect the merchandise that was hidden in her handbag.

the woman was their alright wearing a darker pink kimono and had the cherry blossom flower in her hair as planned.

After speaking the code phrase and getting the appropriate reply the two women hugged and Asa passed her handbag to the other women from Red October.

The exchange had been made and the next part of the plan could continue as the Red October agent was tailed by another Arms Tech Agent, Asa's mission partner and lover Mariko who blended in even more dressed as a business woman with a plasma pistol and a sonic grenade concealed in her brief case.

Soon the Red October terrorists would get the blame for what was about to happen and the real problems would begin.

Back at their secret headquarters in a pump room under the local sewer system the terrorists had their prize. what they thought was a bubonic plague virus that would make the New Kirisuban government sit up and take notice.

Mariko had followed their courier and found the HQ. she stunned two guards before taking down the terrorists with her sonic grenade and other plasma pistol stuns.

She takes out two hyposprays and injects 3 of them with the TZ virus. the others she kills with a tiny dose of poison.

she attaches a little explosive charge to the container holding the TZ virus and leaves the HQ detonating it by remote control after she leaves the sewers.

As the case explodes the glass vial falls to the floor and break releasing the virus in the sewers and up into the crowded streets. soon it would do its work.

Mariko hides in an alley and activates her communications device and a transporter beam picks her up. she sees that Asa is waiting for her back in her black Arms Tech uniform.

"It is done" Mariko simply says as they report to the bridge of the cloaked Arms Tech battlebarge.


On the planet surface the corpses started to twitch and get up. they were dead but they didn't seem to know that. Thier first meal was the unconcious guards and they travelled through the sewers looking for a way out.

the others were mutating into something unspeakable that was no longer human. as their clothes ripped as they grew and mutated they were now a bio weapon codename 'Licker'

a figure on the bridge was in the shadows behind Field Aquilla Ace.

Field Aquilla Fujiko Akechi, the first human Field Aquilla in the fleets history gave the orders to send a message back to Arms Tech HQ on Sephrioth and suggested to her superior "Sir,its better if we wait until the Kirisubans realise whats going on before we deploy.

We can uncloak in the meantime and enter the orbital spaceport as if we're getting more supplies and and repairing some systems.

then we'll be in place for when the Kirisuban government asks for our help which will be quickly once they realise what they're up against. i know how efficent they are.

My team will be ready for the containment operation. its nothing they haven't done before"

The night stalkers had been picked by Fujiko herself and were the best and brightest of the Arms Tech commandos. they were currently 100 of them and they were containment specialists. their mistress had seen to that and had encouraged them to show initiative.

They were already looking over a map of New Kyoto figuring out where the strategic intersections were, the location of police stations and local government buildings and going over the map of the sewers in case they had to fight down there.

by now in the sewers the handful of zombies had found their way out as the evening dusk gave way to nightfall. New Kyoto had a lively nightlife and there were still a lot of people around the city centre.

an on duty police woman was the first to make the discovery disturbing two zombies eating another victim. she trys to stun them with her plasma pistol as her female partner calls for backup.

they drop both zombies and they realise that this is no ordinary attack.

logging the call with their base the unusual nature of the case attracts an a CSI unit one member of the team being a scientist.

Using her scientific scanner she detects strange readings from the bodies as the zombies are stunned everytime they try and get up. when the dead victim rises and needs stunned as well the New Kyoto PD know they need help badly...

Fujiko nods and says "our new tyrants are ready to go and have been equipped with the standard tyrant weaponry and armour.

They may look a bit on the small side compared to the hellbreeds but they still pack a punch"

she speaks with the comms officer briefly and she confirms that the call for help was sent back home.

"helm set course 050 mark 3 warp 2 and hold for 5 minutes.then we'll return to the orbital space port above New Kirisubo as if nothing has happened" she orders.

as they approached the defence perimeter a heavily armed Kirisusban system defence ship hailed them and guided the allied ship into port.

Fujiko replies "Sir, Mariko did create 3 lickers as part of infecting the terrorists so we'll have no witnesses there. However I am concerned about Imperial ships getting involved. Wouldn't they recognise the signs of the TZ virus and then questions would be asked how Red October got a sample of the TZ virus. They would add a lot of manpower into the containment but the price would be pressure on Arms Tech and maybe even an investigation on how a secret viral weapon ended up in the hands of a terrorist cell.

If you think that we need their troops to pull this off feel free to use them but I think we can contain this with our own forces and the local Kirisuban defence forces.

we will then get the credit and a cover story can be concocted with the Kirisuban government since they won't want this getting out either.

If the level of infection does get critical the Kirisubans will nuke the city to prevent the infection spreading so we'll only have a short window of opportunity to use them".

As Fujiko talks with Ace the comms officer says "sir, we're being hailed by the Kirisuban defence force. They're requesting our help in containing the infection of New Kyoto as you predicted."

Fujiko turns to Ace and says "now we can be heroes but we hold back our BOW's for now. Regular commandoes should be able to deal with zombies"

In New Kyoto less than a hour after the infection was first discovered it had spread rapidly.

the police and Kirisuban army were fighting gun battles in the streets with bands of zombies and the airforce attack craft were droping bombs, their fire being called down by forces on the ground. in some parts of town the barriers were holdinging but in others the defenders were joining the hungry horde.

Forcefields were being set up around New Kyoto to stop the infected getting out and preparations were made to evacuate uninfected civilians.

the nukes had been readied to be dropped at dawn the next day if the infection spread too rapidly..

When Fujiko sees the Sephrion vessels she asks the comms officer to send a message to the flagship.

"This is the Rage of the Corporation. We have received a call for help from the Kirisuban Defence Force so we're going to be welcome.

the infection is in its early stages but spreading rapidly. Wear gasmasks and battle armour and the zombies should give you no trouble"

she gives them landing co-ordinates in New Kyoto, a large public park and adds "We'll see you on the surface"

On board a large Sephrion shuttlecraft the 4 tyrants and the 4 nemesis were under control, armed and ready for a fight.

Fujiko and Mariko were going with them, the former pilot at the controls.

they made a gentle landing before putting on their gasmasks and led the bio weapons out.

As Fujiko briefed them Mariko met with some Kirisuban police and the shuttle deployment was worked out so each city block would recieve containment troops.

Even now Sephrion commandos were landing by shuttle where they were needed and engaging the zombies

Mariko returns from the briefing and says to Fujiko "uninfected survivors are also being brought to another part of this park before being evacuated into orbit."

Fujiko returns to Ace and asks "Alpha alert? you never told me about that one before"

She also tells him that shuttle deployments are already taking place in the city and that uninfected survivors will be brought here as well.

"the BOW's have recieved their orders and let loose on a standard search and destroy mission"

an alpha alert is the higest alert high chance of arms tech being exposed

this mission is a total scrub up job

"Understood Sir" Fujiko says "the government has already prepped nukes to sanatise this city at dawn local time so they're thinking the same way as we are. We won't have long to operate here"

in the city centre the battles were continuing and now that zombies were finding their ways into the suburbs they were nearing the city limits.

a twenty strong night stalker team was on top off a factory roof watching the horde shuffle on.

"lets get to work" their leader says as they fire RPG's into them..

within minutes all the arms tech troops had deployed or were about to deploy.

with a lot of city blocks cut off local police weren't letting anybody out but the defence forces had different orders.

they had to assume infection given the nature of what the scientists had discovered. it was airborne and carriers had to be killed...

the war raiders schrreched to a halt ok ace alpha team deploy ace spoted a conered defence force sqaud open fire with the photon cannon ace grind all sqaud succure against the enemy

alpha team deployed and were faced by a scene straight from a horror film.

ahead of them and hemmed in by the wide street was a mob of around 400 zombies heading towards them.

elsewhere in town one of the tyrants was oeprating alone and encountered the first licker.

Two rockets took it out and it send this news back to HQ.

The Hellbreeds has been deployed in 10 teams and were dropped in behind the lines as they dealt with the infected swiftly and efficently.

by now the shocked police had recieved the same orders as the military. Assume that everyone is infected.

having to fire on people they had sworn to protect and to serve was going to be hard but they obeyed the new directive from the government.

the 10 police officers, 8 female and 2 male escaped the horde and got on board taking a few more zombies with them before their escape.

"thank you sir" the highest ranking officer, a female sergeant says to Ace and adds "now we have been ordered to assume that everyone is infected. I doubt there'll be anyone alive in this city by dawn"

Asa says "they're clear but the virus is airborne as well" in low Sephrion, the gas mask disgusing her face and her voice.

"I hate having to do this as well" the female sergeant says "if this infection gets out in any form it will be disasterous"

Asa gives the officers the antivirus and wonders why her own people would use so crude a method of containment.

she gets onto a comm line and says "Night Stalker one come in. we have survivors as well as disturbing news.."

Back at the HQ on her command war raider Fujiko was listening to Asa's report in disbelief.

"I'll get onto the the defence forces and try and change these orders. in the meantime i'll comm all sephrion forces and add the search for survivors to their orders.

Fujiko back at HQ consulted a map while she spoke with Ace on the comms.

"I have your position and theres a tyrant not too far away from you. I'll direct her to your location"

she sends out new orders and the tyrant obeys casually taking out a zombie with her sword as she passes one before heading to where she is needed.

Fujiko also tried to raise the defence forces and tells the General in charge that she dosen't need those draconian orders when Arms Tech has the scanning equipment to tell infected and uninfected people apart.

she manages to change the orders to the defence forces and police and they are soon informed of these.

Asa pops another shell into the cannon and aims the big gun hitting it square on.

she reloads without orders and says "Sir it's still going after a full on hit"

by now a few hours of hard fighting had passed and the zombies were being bottled up into city blocks rather than roaming free.

survivors had been picked up by Sephrion and local forces and brought to the park for medical attention and scanning.

4000 people had been checked and given the all clear so far being evacuated to an isolated area of the planet until defence force ships could pick them up.

the assault raider was scrambled and its crew flew the specially modifed air raider to where it was required.

Asa removes the standard shell and reloads with a special AP shell with nano probes.

She aims the gun again and hits it. when the explosion clears she can see its badly injured and down for a while.


the assault raider pulled up beside Aces raider and after recieving their orders shot it a few more times to make sure it stayed down

i dont thin its dead i want it captured hq would be intrested ace said assault radier can you carry this to the battle barge

"Aye sir" the pilot replied and 4 troopers used lines to descend to the ground level.

It was out cold, badly injured but still alive. the largest containment box they had just about fitted it and it was airlifted to the battlebarge for further tests.

By now the tryant had arrived and sent a signal back to Ace. its recognition signal of two short beeps and one long.

the tyrant sent a double beep back as she was unable to speak and locked on with her shoulder mounted rockets firing two off, the tubes automatically reloading from the ammo box on her back.

both were hit but all this seemed to do was attract their attention.

another hit from the rockets slowed them doen slightly and the sephrion tyrant advanced into battle wielding her sword as well as arming missiles.

ok as fire 4 more of those shells in quick sucsesion use the auto loader

Asa complied and set the cannon for auto reloading. 4 nano shells were loaded in and she targeted the new tyrant-R's.

with the close range and computer targeting even she couldn't miss and they tyrant on the ground was able to mop up cutting them up with her sword for good measure.

two short beeps and two long beeps signaled to Ace told him they were both dead.

back at HQ Fujiko noticed that the pictures coming through from the camera on the tyrants shoulder were being recorded as per standard procedures. they would have interesting data to look at later on.

ok phase two destroying the evidence asa get the plasma flame thrower spray burn the rest of us are going to wase some zombies

Asa got out of the raider with the plasma flame thrower and hosed the bodies down with plasma enhanced fire until they were ashes.

she hit her comms line and said "Ace, they're ashes now. Medic two returning home"

Kirisuban shuttles had been flying over the city looking over the ruined areas of the city looking for life signs. in the infected areas they picked up the occasional lifesign on top off a tall building but they were few and far between.

New Kyoto was a city of the dead and the sooner it was sanitised the better..

said ace as he threw an sheell he modifed in to a big grenade into a cluster of zombies

back at HQ Fujiko replied "we have 5000 people evacuated already and the defence forces seem to think thats it.

We have reports from our medics of minor wounds but nothing thats infectious. Dawn is in two hours time and then the nukes will be launched to remove any trace of the virus."

As Mariko blased a zombie with her rage sprayer she asked "sir, what was that you just threw?"

one of the standard shells i reconfigered it to be a grnade i confirgered 40 more help me throw em

Mariko drags a crate of the modifed shells over to Ace and throws one herself satisfied with the loud noise it makes when it lands taking our a cluster of zombies.

Fujiko hears this latest request and asks the liason officer that the defence force has sent her if the nuking can be be delayed.

the woman wearing an army captains uniform gets on her comm lines she is able to tell Fujiko that she can delay one hour but no longer.

Fujiko then tells Ace..

back at HQ Fujiko was recalling SAT and Empire forces back to their War Raiders. The Kirisubans had their forcefield barrier in place all round the city and they were pulling back as well.

the Sephrion craft were taking off some picking up SAT squads still fighting in the city, four air raiders coming for the night stalker units.

the HQ would be the last to evacuate their own craft being close by.

Mariko took the wheel of the raider and concentates on getting out of the area..

The raider motors away from the blast radius as a large fireball blooms above the zombie horde.

"Sir I assume we're going back to HQ" Mariko asks as she keep driving.

Mariko comms HQ telling Fujiko that plan Delta may need to be implemented.

Fujiko pales slightly when she hears this knowing what it means. the end of the planet as she knows it.

However she comms the Empire forces and tells them to prepare for it.

with Ace and the others nearing HQ and the Night Stalkers being extracted without any losses she was hopeful it may not have to come to that.

"we've lost 95,000 people" Fujiko says to Ace in high sephrion "in Kyoto alone and now the planet is in danger. So much for us being heroes and keeping a contained infection"

in the private room they were talking in it was clear that Fujiko thought that plan Delta was overkill.

Asa wasn't so sure and said "the virus is now waterborne as well as airborne. We will have to consider a total evac of the planet if things get any worse"

he said in high sephrion over kill it maybe but look at it this way if the planet were to remain intact thier is a good chance the water borne form of the virus could reinfect the planet

"Hai Tenno" Fukiko says in Kirisubo and goes back to the comms unit to call the Bane of the Empire so they know whats going on.

"we're ready to evac and the Bane is expecting us" she replies

ace was having a bad day first the mission goes pear shape and now grunts qestiuon his orders

Asa was there already having never left the room.

"Sir" she says quietly "you need to calm down. Fujiko isn't just having a bad day. She's seen her first mission go badly wrong and she needs your help and support"

this was suposed to be an easy op asa evertythink went pearshaped i had only 1 chioce plan delta

"then we'll better evac and tell the governement the bad news" Asa says "and I'll better talk to Fujiko. She'll be taking this hard, even harder than you are"

Asa bows and quietly talks to Fujiko in Kirisuban as the HQ craft lift off heading to the Bane of the Empire in orbit above New Kirisubo.

when Fujiko was told by Asa that she was being disciplined she assumed the worst.

She remembered what Aeries told her and never wanted to be dishonoured that badly. she would rather die first than live with the disgrace of a failed mission..

with the worst confirmed Fujiko was determined to die before that happened. Even if she survived the prison she would never rise above above a Field Kalu rank.

She nodded to Asa as she explained it and told her to look after Mariko in her abscence.

She left the bridge, went to the transporter, stunned the guard with ther plasma pistol and transported herself into space after leaving her uniform jacket behind.

Asa went to Aces's office fearing the worst after Fujiko's suicide.

She had done what bushido demanded but it could well backfire on Asa and Mariko.

Asa was stunned when she heard Ace but managed to say "I never knew you thought I was command material or you liked me in that way.

With Fujiko's seppuku I thought Mariko and myself were in for it but I will carry out your orders"

Asa smiles slighty and says "Sir, I'll contact the Kirisuban government and break the bad news news. Whatever future my people have I hope its better than what happened in New Kyoto"

The now Field Aquilla Kodomo went to the transporter room find found Fujiko's abandoned jacket and looked over the transporter controls.

with the latest operator she discovered that Fujiko had been smart and scattered her atoms so she couldn't be beamed back.

As she thought of her friend who had died with honour as a Kirisuban should she headed back to the bridge to make the call.

The Tairo Aiko Fujiwaki answered the call and the older woman on the other end listened calmly to Asa before replying.

"I know you did what you could to help but we don't have a homeworld to go to. you will always have our thanks and the name of Red October will be cursed for centuries by us.

Our shipyards and orbital docking facilities will have to remain regardless of whats happening on the surface and the offer off a homeworld near Sephrioth is kind.

We would need to meet with your Comamnder to sort out a lot of details but the total evacuation will start in the meantime if you can send some of your scientists to operate their scanners"

Asa nodded and says "Tairo, we can do that once we return to our ship. Kodomo out"

she closes the comms line and knowing that her homeworld only has hours of life left hopes that the future will be better on a new world

She returns to Ace's ready room saying softly "Fujiko did leave something" showing Ace her jacket with the 9 stars on it

as they wish send those four techies still suited up and tell thier leader asa to beready to be beamed aboard

they dock with the Bane and after a few minutes a system defence ship approaches and hails them.

Asa answers the hail and knows to expect the Tairo and some of the cabinet.

Three women beam over to the Bane and Asa is there to greet them leading them to the ready room that Ace is using.

Asa introduces the Tairo, the planetary leader, the defence minister and the foreign minister.

By now four suited up sephrion scientists were on the surface scanning people prior to the evacuation before they boarded shuttles which would dock with other kirisuban ships.

Asa translates for Ace speaking in Kirisuban to out the Tairo at her ease at this gravest of times.

"Field Aquilla Ace" the Tairo replies "this is the greatest disaster in my planets history. Before I left I had been informed that the seven small towns near New Kyoto were also showing signs of infection so they were nuked after being evacuated. New Kyoto has also been nuked as well.

We may have lost our homeworld but we will need your help to rebuild a new world"

officaly the destruction is not s.a.t its empire control the ops in he said

"We did the nuking ourself" the Tairo explains "to buy time for our survivors still on the land of tears.

Is there anyone in the Empire fleet we should be trying to reach about a new homeworld?"

the defence secretary speaks up saying "we have every ship military or civilian being made ready for refugees. our people will have a temporay home while this is sorted out"

grand feild aquila smith leader of the rask force i belive they are reading the nova torpedos

"we will need a day to complete the evacuation as well as some of our people living on Sephrion and TFU ships for a while.

We are under no illusions here. not everyone may make it but enough of us will given time. All we need is a day" the Tairo says

The Tairo nods and says "since we have enough time and will have enough ships to house people we will also need other help in the meantime. since our plantary water and food is contaminated we will need help from our allies.

our replicators can only help so many people and we will also need medical supplies to sustain us that are not contaminated"

back on the planet the news was bad. the infection having been carried by birds was infecting other towns and cities. Quarintine was having little effect now and all they could do was to put infected people out of their misery.

250,000 people were now dead or infected and more were at risk..

hmm the planet will be destroyed ace said disphasonatly

Asa translated exactly what Ace said and the Tairo replied "all things must come to an end but I never thought I'd see the day my planet died.

If that is everything we must leave you and speak with our other allies in the co-dominium including the Grand Field Aquilla. We will need their help in this time of trouble"

the warrior king said we must render all aid the corpation can to your people

the older woman says "in that case Field Aquilla I look forward to meeting with you again. We will not be leaving our system for a while yet"

she bows and leaves with her ministers Asa guiding them back to the transporter room.

leaving the bridge of the Rage which was docked with the Bane Asa and Ace go to his quarters.

when the door hisses shut she says quietly "Ace, I hope the Kirisubans never find out that the virus came from us because If my calculations are correct theres not going to be many Kirisubans left"

Asa hugged Ace and said softly "they may have gotten the blame but they couldn't have done it without us. they could have got a virus from anywhere but it was the TZ they used.

How are we going to explain this to the Grand Field Aquilla?"

she bows and leaves the quarters heading to her own

Asa returned to her quarters and got a shower and a change of clothes.

She also took the time to think as so much had happened in a short period of time.

A partially failed containment operation, the death of Fujiko, a promotion and now a chance of a sephrion mate.

She activated the computer and made an enquiry about the Rages systems studying the engneering systems just like Fujiko had done before with her help. It was standard practice for command staff on Kirisuban ships to have knowledge of every ships systems and she would have to learn a lot in a short time..

Asa hits her comm badge and says "on my way sir" closing down her computer and arriving at Aces Quarters.

She knocks the door and it opens up.

She moves a chair so she can sit beside Ace and asks "how did your thinking go?" pouring some bloodwine into a pitcher and sipping at it cautiously.

a little while later Asa woke up in Aces bed. she stetched and looked round remembering what they had done.

very little would be happening in the mission apart from the plantary evacuation and the Kirisubans thought they could do that in 24 hours and Asa didn't doubt they would manage it. Her people were efficient, passionate and strong willed so she had no doubts that they would recover given time.

she looked round for Ace and seen him beside her in a light sleep, so she lay down again with an arm over his chest. Everything about him was impressive and she hoped that she could be his mate as he had suggested. She wasn't a replacement although.

the Tairo had returned to the INKS Shiro, Admiral Nagano's command and now the seat of what survived of the Kirisuban government.

Ten ministers and 15 members of the council of Daimyos were present in the large room along with the Tairo who briefed then on the current progress of the virus.

"half our population is now dead or infected and the OEP thinks that we'll lose more before the evac is completed in 12 hours time" she says "this is a dark time but we will be rebuild and our commitment to the Co-dominion will be maintained.

I have issued recall orders to all exploration ships except for the Kagemon and they all know now what has happened.

We will maintain the orbital shipyards if they remain after the planet has gone and the hulls that have been completed are being towed to a safe distance ready to take refugees"

after the meeting is concluded The Tairo contacts Grand Field Aquilla Smith to get an update on the colony ships they asked for a loan off.

Asa was looking after the 4 nemesis' in the safety of a secure lab. the four bio beds were showing their lifesigns as the female BOW's were sleeping which regenerated them.

They hadn't that much to regenerate anyway so they'd be up and around soon.

she also have a meeting with the Night Stalker commandos in an hour. They had been Fujiko's unit and now she was dead they would need a new leader. she was thinking about putting Fujiko's deputy, Amarus in charge. The Sephrion was extremely able and would probally understand why Fujiko committed suicide. Still this would be a delicate meeting with him.

the disaster was going to be a breaking point for the surviving Kirisubans.

The Bushi (warrior class) and their supporters favoured going with the Sephrions and setting up an Shogunate based on the Empire on Earth. The two differing ideals had co-existed before but now they couldn't.

The Tairo and her government favoured the shorter trip to the Federal Union homeworld and the continuation of the democratic reforms so the government let their people make their own choices.

The people made their choices by choosing their ships and by the time the evacuation was complete 140,000 went with the government and 80,000 went with the Military.

The two convoys were ready to make their journeys to different homeworlds and different destinys..

even in her uniform Fujiko was ready to fight. she took of her shoes and was ready although she could have used her kicks if she hadn't been wearing a skirt.

Mariko rolled to dodge the fire ball and rushed at Ace trying to headbutt him in the chest.

Mariko bounced of Ace and her determination to beat him showed. The unconventional move had failed and now she dived between his legs to escape the fireballs.

unable to dodge that many fireballs Mariko crumpled to the deck unconcious.

Asa runs over to her concerned and checks her over the best she can without a medical scanner

Ace and Asa reach the sickbay and the medic on duty salutes Ace and Asa.

"sir, maam" he says "Mariko's been stablised but she'll need to spend a few days in here while the treatment continues. She already has some sephrion nanobots in her so we've added more and they'll repair her over a few days"

Mariko was unconcious on a bio bed and he continues "the major injuries were fractured ribs but the bone regenerator can take care of that. she'll need rest after the treatment as well"

"sure sir" he says and runs a medical scanner over Ace.

"it is scale blight" he confirms while Asa goes over to Mariko.

he reaches into a cabinet and says "i'll need to apply this gel to where you can't reach and then you could finish the job later. another treatment after this one should deal with it"

no wonder im in a bad mood having scales fall off would make a monk angry

Seeing that ace has no shirt on makes the medics job a lot easier and as Ace sits on a bio bed he starts on his commanders back rubbing the gel in the hard to reach parts there.

Asa squeezes Mariko's hand and knowing she's in good hands goes back to Ace.

Asa looks at the label and says "you don't want to know but it will stop your scale blight"

she takes off her jacket and says "I'll help apply it once the medic does your back and neck"

she looks over to a curtained off bio bed where Ace can be treated in some privacy.

with the medic having finished for now Asa says to him "i can finish the treatment myself while you look after Mariko"

he nods and lets Asa take over as she does his face and ears saying quietly "we should finish this in the screened section over there"

Asa pulls the curtains and after rubbing the gel into his horns asks him to take off the rest of his clothes so she can get the gel everywhere.

he strips down to his boxers ill dow below my boxers my self but the bacside you maydo

"thats fine by me" Asa says as she rubs the gel into his chest and arms before starting on his left leg

soon Asa has covered Ace with the gel except for the part he wanted to do himself.

"darling you weren't so shy last night" she says gently to him as she hands him a new tube of gel

in sickbay Mariko starts to come round on her own speaking soft Kirisuban and having the mother of all sore heads as well as sore all over. Her uniform was even scorched as well.

Mariko was still woosy and not making a lot of sense even to Asa.

"from what I made of what she's saying" Asa replies "she thinks that 60 fireballs was a bit of overkill but she's ready for more training once she recovers"

Mariko nods and tries to sit up managing it with Asa's help.

"thank you Ace" she says "and I will honour the memory of your friend"

She slips the jacket on which is much too big for her and lies back down again feeling very tired and sore.

Asa brings her up to date and when she tells her that she'll be in here for 3 days Mariko protests.

"you'll need my help with all thats going on" she says, Asa replying "I'll keep you informed when I visit you so you won't miss a thing"

this seems to calm Mariko and she nods.

the combat boots are the final piece.

Asa asks "Ace, why are the combat trousers black with dark red spots for?" while she runs a medical scanner over Mariko.

Her ribs were mending nicely as the first stage of the bone regeneration had been done but she would need more treatment.

"I suppose some scales can be different colours then" Asa replies, Mariko adding through her pain "I will take special care of it until you ask for it back again"

Asa looks at Mariko and says "you'll better sleep now and i'll get you something for the pain"

she gets a hypospray filled with a strong pain killer and Mariko drifts off to sleep.

Scanning Ace, Asa says "it looks like the gel's doing its job but we'll need a second treatment to make sure it worked. The doctor says tomorrow will be enough time for that"

he grined i forgot how good wearing scale armour feels wen yoiur own scales are not itching

Asa looks up at her mate saying gently "I suppose you gave Mariko the jacket because you felt bad about hurting her?"

she sees the doctor is busy in his office and kisses him gently

nah its armour that can turn sephrion fireballs so i thought i would lend it her for training

"its still too big for her although. remember she's even smaller than I am but Mariko will still wear it regardless" Asa replies

"Now the doctor has let you go so lets go back home and think together with some bloodwine. I'm beginning to aquire a taste for it"

when they get back to Aces quarters Asa locates a few barrels of bloodwine for starters and gets a jug each for herself and Ace.

she had found out from the Tairo about the splintering of the Kirisuban people into New Kirisubans and the Kiribushi.

The Kiribushi would be going to a world in the Sephrion Empire and the others to a world in the Federal Union. Arms Tech could well get new recruits as a result since they still were seen as heroes despite the failure of the containment.

"Ace, we still salvaged something from this mission. the Kirisubans going with us are likely to think like us. The Bushi (warrior class) will be strong allies once they get their ships up to spec"

as do i think they will be firece allies

Asa relaxes in a chair sipping from the jug and added "I used to serve on a Tenpeku class ship before joining the exploration fleet. they're good ships if a little slow. they can do warp 6 at best but can still turn on a 5 oban piece despite the many weapons they carry. give them a cloaking device and they'll be fearsome hunters"

i served on the heavenly sin before joining the black sqaud and then these
slowest ship in the fleet warp 11 but could turn on a 1 metria piece

Asa sips at the jug and replies "warp 11 slow. the Kagemon only does warp 9.9.

an agile ship will always be a hard target to shoot at and they'll sneak up behind you and blow out your engines leaving you dead in space. at least thats how Kirisubans deal with ships that try and take them on"

sephrions prefer to fight head on

Asa counters with "your ships can do that because they're so tough and they're heavilly armed.

Now a Tenpeku class ship has one main beam weapon which fires plasma balls at their attackers. its like being hit by a nuke. it takes time to recharge the weapon so we use the 'one strike' idea. recently they've recieved standard plasma assisted phasers to give them something else to shoot with. thats as well as 6 torpedo tubes forward and 6 aft.

thats why we fight the way we do. our ships are built round speed and mobility"

"I doubt anyone would sit still and let themselves be rammed" Asa replies drinking more bloodwine.

the fleets were now ready for the trip each had to make.

the NX-06 Katana wasn't fully finished as were the two carrier ships Akagi and Saporro but they had their engines installed and tested and would be able to make the trip.

all of the exploration fleet except for the Kagemon was recalled and were now home ready to escort their people to the star system of the Federal Union.

on the 'Shiro' Admiral Nagano was looking at an idea from the fleet shipyards of combining two old ships to make one larger one. with twice the power they could run a cloaking field, have stronger shields and run more plasma assisted phasers. these double hulled ships based on the design of the Shiro would be the newest ships in the Kiribushi fleet once they reached their new homeworld.

ace grinned

Asa returned the smile knowing what was likely to be on Aces mind.

she sips more bloodwine and relaxes further kicking off her shoes.

"darling its been a hard day for the both of us and the gel seems to be working as well. I can tell just by looking at your scales"

she moves closer to Ace happy with life.

Asa drinks more wine and says to Ace "you can do so much I don't even know about. I suppose our children will be able to do what you can"

Seeing that Ace still has his mind on work she says "nothing has changed since the meeting. the destruction of New Kirisubo will take place as planned once the nova torpedoes are ready"

"will do darling" Asa says and barefoot she walks in the sand covering Ace as he requested.

Asa finishes off her bloodwine and gets ready for bed curling up in the 'normal' bed.

she liked the sand in her toes but wondered if she would ever get used to sleeping in the sand.

the alarm also got Asa up as well and she stretched in the bed.

"darling I hope you slept well" Asa says

Asa returned to her own quarters and got showered, changed and a quick breakfast before having her overdue meeting with the new night stalker commander, Amarus.

He had already been informed of his new job and was ready to accept it vowing he would remember their human founder.

on the way to the bridge she felt itchy but thought nothing off it for now. Before long she would see the end of the homeworld.

Reaching the bridge she looks out a viewing port at the Kirisuban ships ready to make their journey to their homes and that this day would be long remembered in their history.

lets low the planet

The time had come but Asa wanted to make sure that everyone had gone.

Going to the science station she scanned for life signs only picking up animals and smaller species like the red fox and fish that had been transplanted from Earth. all of which would have been heavilly infected by now.

opening up the comm link to the Empire ship she gave the order to launch the now ready torpedos.

the nova torpedo's sped towards the planet as the Kirisuban, Sephrion and Federal Union ships watched from a safe distance. A ship from Terror Incognita was also in the fleet.

very soon New Kirisubo would be no more...

the torpedoes screamed out of thier launchers beging the deadly pass towards the planet five nova torpedoes were firred

the 5 torpedoes hit home on the northern continent and a fireball blooms into life, the fire spreading and engulfing all it its path.

even the seas were absorbed by the flames and when the flames had done their work the planet cracked like an egg and exploded taking the orbital dockyards and repair facilities with it.

New Kirisubo was no more. all that remained of the debris had formed a new asteroid field..

The Kirisubans took all this in and then the two fleets went their different ways. the Kiribushi fleet manouvered towards the Sephrion ships and the Government fleet joined the Federal Union 8th Fleet which would now need a new home as well.

the split had taken place and only time would tell what would happen next.

Asa said softly to Ace "today will begin a new era for my people and whatever destiny they will have mine will be with you"
