Novus Romus

Caesar Espatus had just reached Roman Greece. He was here to negotiate terms for an alliance. As of now, he was waiting for his entourage to meet his peer.

OOC-I will be Roman Greek Arterus instead.

IC-It was in fact a Orthodox clergyman sent to represent RGA. His name was Constantine Lascaris. Dressed in vestments, he came to NR and said ''I am Constantine Lascaris of RGA. Shall we begin our talks?''

OOC: Oh alright. And Caesar my term for Emperor.

IC: Caesar Espatus nodded. He expected to meet the leader, afterall, he came in person. He extended a hand and introduced himself. "I am Caesar Espatus. Yes, let's begin." With that he sat, and waited for the Clergyman to make an offer.

OOC-I use the Roman Republic government style for RGA, not RG really, I guess.

IC-''Caesar, perhaps our nations could begin with an embassy exchange?'' the Orthodox clergyman said.

"That would be fine. But I would also like to negotiate a trade pact. Perhaps even a defense pact, but that is far from now.

''Trade between us would be good as well.'' Constantine said.

Espatus looked around and nodded, "Yes, it would. So what do you propose?"

''First, what things does your nation seek?'' the clergyman asked.

"My nation would be willing to trade grapes, or wine if you'd rather not have to make it yourself, food products, cattle, and other things. We would be willing to trade anything for something you may have, or even money."

OOC-This is RGA. RGA and RGK are puppet nations of RG.

IC-''That seems like a good deal. Shall we sign a treaty?''
Novus Romus
20-04-2006, 03:23
"Sure. Let's sign this and get on to matters of more importance." Espatus said, as he pulled out his favirote pen.

After the Caesar signed it, the clergyman signed it and ended with a Orthodox cross. ''What's next?'' he asked.
Novus Romus

"Let's move on to the topic of a military alliance. Obviously, two christian nations can join. We could put the Great Schism aside and work together. A new vision in a world of dying faith." He said.

''We are Orthodox in RGA, you are Catholic. I think we could put 1054 behind us but some in both lands may not agree.'' the clergyman said. ''A military alliance would be good, I suppose.'' ''The world can be said to be one of dying faith.''
Novus Romus
20-04-2006, 03:55
"I agree fully. Although some may not agree, as you said, I'm sure they will come over eventually. This is a large step in showing the world the power of Christ and of God." With that, he signed his name and awaited the clergyman to do the same.

''I hope that the Holy, Constubstantial, Lifegiving Trinity blesses this alliance.'' the clergyman said, signing it. ''It will take some time for the disagreers to agree. Christ and God shall prevail though.''

The Caesar smiled lightly and looked up. "They always do." With that, he looked back to Constantine. "So, have you anything else to negotiate, or is the alliance between us our final negotiation for today?"

The clergyman stood and said ''It is for now our final negotiation.''
