It had been 15 years since the war between bretton and Nod, and the leader of the nod empire Kane had only been rumoured to have been seen.

A new empire span across a rugid terrain with large areas of lush green zones of a tiberium based vegetation.Unlike the one now found in the old nod this one wasnt toxic although it did have one or two minor side effects which where kept hidden from the public.

A new temple of Nod had been built in the new capital, a small section was built inside specificaly for Kane and opened upon his return to the land.

The new nation had been built under a different identity, although it was still the brotherhood of Nod, it promoted freedoms and equality, peace and prosperity and even elections but these did very little to change the system.

The caretaker of nod was a tall, handsome and slender man by the name of Josef. He commanded the respect of all Nod forces and its people who lived in the way of Nod and in the spirit of Kane.

in the few years it took to rebuild Nod, technological achievements exceeded that of the old empire. it had an extensive chemical, biological and nuclear training and weapons programme but these where purely (to the worlds eyes) a defensive measure and would never again be used as a first use strike. The 'fist of Nod' which in the original war was still in testing stages was now finally up and running and protected the skies of nod and its allies in the event of a terrorist or national threat of any kind. Beacons which looked alot like scorpion tales where synchronised around the empire and defended the grounds from any would be aggressor (although several witnesses have seen this in operation to remove criminals in progress) hidden across the grounds where extensive anti air and missile defenses one would say that Nod had become like its old enemy in the respect that it was a military fortress state one in which secret police worked and any would be invader would be destroyed with extensive collateral damge to the invading armies.

Nod had changed in many ways from the old ways and people believed the time was near for Kanes return. It was in the papers and news stories on tv and other 'state' media reporting more and more fequently that kane had been seen.

Once kane returned it would be only a matter of time before Nod moved outwards. Until that day the world saw nod as a benovolent regime and very few would dare think otherwise.

"Send one of our sattelites to orbit the area and take photos, and Infrared photos. Also, dispatch 2 RG-129's to the area to do an aerial recon, as well as 1 U-2. Now!" shouted the President.

The General paced around the command center. He gave the orders, and they were carried out. 2 RG-129 'Firefly' Long-Range Recon Planes took-off from Colmag Air Force Base in the north of Asgarnieu. A U-2 spy plane departed from Safford Air Force Base as well. The AS-9 Permanent-Orbit Sattelite was stirred. It awoke from its computer-induced hibernation. As the thrusters kicked, the sattelite moved. It positioned itself over the new Imperial Nod. It began taking both regular and infrared images of the new nation. They were sent back to Balkan City, for both the President and the Defense Commission to see...

the young female officer came marching out with a slight haste in her strides " Sir, its the Asgarnieu that are spying on us." josef pulled himself out of the pool and dried himself off. It remans a fetching tribute to the everlasting presence of nod. whilst the brettonians had thought they hadwon the war they didnt realise that the war was never over, when my forces begin marching once more the special nano technology that remained in my former temple will activate and control the minds of everyone that has ever stepped foot on my sacred ground, highly wimsicle but effective.
