Geneticon can provide you with a stealth bomber and ICBMs. Please specify exactly what roles you want these things to fill... and we will begin design and production.

Beyond that, we would actually like to take this entire contract, but it may take many years (RL weeks) to do this. So, if you're patient enough, we will do it all for you, but if you don't want to wait, have someone else do the rest of the contract.

Lost Hills is not necessarily looking for completely new technology, but simply existing equipment that can fill our needs. Does Geneticon has an existing stealth bomber or ICBM design to submit?

Subject: Candidates

Our executives have recently heard of your contract bidding taking place in your nation to meet your military and needs are we are willing to enter contestants for these contracts. The two categories that we wish to put a contender in is the Heavy Lift Aircraft and AWACS Aircraft. We sell the C-350 Stormbringer and the E-362 Scanner for these roles, respectively. Here are more information on them:

C-350 Stormbringer: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9139117&postcount=2
E-362 Scanner: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=9139160&postcount=7

Both aircrafts are outfitted with the most advanced systems out there for their roles. But because we understand that each nation is different in doctrines, we wish to ask if we can modify either of these aircrafts so they are to your liking? This can include engine refitting, electronics replacement, airframe changes, armament additions, and so on. We will do our best to accomadate any of your needs to their designs.

We thank you for taking the time to see our proposal and we are very willing to discuss and negotiate prices and discounts for your nation's air force, if you would like. We hope that we come out as the victor in the end but in the end we hope that your air force is the true victor of this competition.

Signed,

The Beltway

To Lost Hills MoD -
The Beltway's many fine defence firms offer a wide variety of products, and, as such, wish to inform you of the following:

For the Heavy Battle Tank role, General Dynamics is proud to offer you the M2 Andrew Lim (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10720700&postcount=3); GD would prefer to build the tanks itself, and, with several new GD factories opening up on Roanoke Island in Allanea, is prepared to fulfill massive orders.

Martin Avionics offers you its newest product, the MH-61 Lakota (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10431539&postcount=4), to replace the UH-60; further, they offer the AH-56 Cheyenne attack helicopter, for which information can be found on the link provided for the Lakota. So as to ensure quality control - both on the Lakotas themselves and in the new Martin factories on Roanoke Island - Martin wishes to build any MH-61 Lakotas ordered by Lost Hills by itself; however, unlimited domestic production rights for the Cheyenne, for the cost of 100 AH-56s, are available.

To fill the role of a dreadnought, Baltimore Shipyards offers the DN-1 America and the DN-47 United States (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10281885&postcount=6); they are prepared to offer limited (to up to 100 ships) domestic production rights for these designs for the cost of ten (10) ships.

In terms of escorts, Baltimore Shipyards recommends that you purchase a mix of ships, from frigates up to cruisers.
In terms of cruisers, they offer a wide variety (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10293174&postcount=24) of models, ranging from large guided missile cruisers like the CBGN-1 Monocacy, to smaller ASW cruisers like the CGH-1 Sussex, to air defence cruisers like the CG-61 Antietam. Baltimore Shipyards offers unlimited production rights to any design for the cost of 100 of the chosen design.
In terms of destroyers (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10299696&postcount=29), Baltimore Shipyards offers five: the DDG-33 Mark Warner ASW destroyer, the DDG-47 John Warner multirole destroyer, the DDG-61 Michael Busch Air Defence destroyer, the DDGN-74 Kweisi Mfume multirole destroyer, and the DDGN-87 Thomas Carper multirole destroyer. Baltimore Shipyards offers unlimited production rights to any design for the cost of 100 of the chosen design.
With regards to frigates (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10311198&postcount=33), Baltimore Shipyards offers three models: the FFG-1 Assateague ASW frigate, the FFG-29 Kent Island littorial multirole frigate, and the FFG-44 Chincoteague Air Defence frigate. Baltimore Shipyards offers unlimited production rights to any design for the cost of 100 of the chosen design.

Baltimore Shipyards offers a wide range of carriers (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10287159&postcount=16), ranging from light carriers like the CV-122 Edward Preble, to medium carriers like the CV-98 Benjamin Cardin, to large carriers like the CVN-67 Robert Kennedy, to massive carriers like the CVN-102 James Carter. Baltimore Shipyards offers unlimited production rights to any design for the cost of 100 of the chosen design.

In terms of attack submarines, two main models are available. Baltimore Shipyards offers the SSN-1 Tolkien (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10335866&postcount=48), while General Dynamics offers the SSN-24 Newport News (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10720813&postcount=4). Unlimited domestic production rights, for the price of 100 of the chosen model(s), are available for either or both subs.

Gage Munitions wishes to offer you the BGM-355 Winchester heavy anti-shipping cruise missile (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10283988&postcount=10). Unlimited domestic production rights, for the cost of 1,000 missiles, are available.

Finally, two AWACS aircraft are available for your air force to purchase. Lockheed Corporation offers the E-11 Scout (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10355912&postcount=2), a faster version of the E-3, while Martin Avionics offers the EV-22 (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10425644&postcount=3), a VTOL AWACS aircraft that's especially useful for light carriers. Both firms offer unlimited domestic production rights, for the cost of one hundred of each aircraft for which DPRs are desierd.

Thank you for considering the designs The Beltway has to offer.
Sincerely,
Michael Busch, Commerce Minister of The Beltway

To Geneticon. We would first like to see other designs before deciding on anything.

To the nation of Edoniakistanbabweagua. We thank you for your submissions, but neither the Xmulzencab nor the Raven will likely be able to fill our needs at this time. Thank you again.

To the nation of ChevyRocks. Thank you for you support, but we will not be able to accept your designs at this point.

To the Xeno. Lost Hills is very much interested in the Archer Surface Attack Cruise missile. How much would production rights be?

To the Space Union. Both submitted designs would fit our needs. The heavy airlift wings of the airforce are interested to know how many fully-armed paratroopers can be carried within the plane?

Lost Hills would require at least 296 Scanner within five years, with the option of more in the future. $71,040,000,000 will be wired to Tylon Aerospace Industries if this order is confirmed.

To The Beltway. Lost Hills is pleased to see our ally The Beltway submit a design to our search. At this point, we would be very interested in the MH-61 Lakota and the EV-22. The EV-22 sounds especially useful as a cheap patrol aircraft. Lost Hills will purchase the DPR for the Scout at a cost of $4,500,000,000.

Regarding the Lakota. Lost Hills requires 7928 Lakotas, to be delivered over the next ten to fifteen years. $75,899,200,000 will be wired to Martin Aviation if this order is confirmed.

Lost Hills is also very interested in the M2 Andrew Lim. The only problem we can foresee is that it is undergunned for its weight. Our current T-7 Gilgamesh Heavy Tanks (http://www.meatballs.terminator.org.uk/crookfur/vehicles.html) use a 155mm ETC gun at roughly 40% the weight. Is there any possibility of upgunning the M2?

Again, Lost Hills thanks you all for your submissions. We look forward to working with all of you in the future.

Lost Hills is very interested in the electronic intelligence aspect of this satellite. However, we are concerned about the weapon, which can "destroy atoms in mid-space." Does this mean that the atoms are somehow seperated into their proton and neutron constituents, or does it mean that the entire atom is vaporized into pure energy?

The atoms are vaporized into energy, effectively blowing a hole the sixe of a dime through the middle of the enemy satellite. If you want, we could create a variation without the weapon onboard, which would make it 50 million USDs cheaper.

To Soviet Bloc. Would the Istrebitel incorporate stealth technology into its final design? Other than that, it looks like an excellent attack helicopter for our purposes.

Your orders are hereby confirmed. The plans for the EV-22 will be sent to your nation shortly; fifty-five (55) MH-61 Lakotas will be delivered each month for the next twelve years; fifty-six (56) will be delivered each of the last eight months. Thank you for choosing Martin Avionics for your defence needs.

To Lost Hills MoD -
We had originally considered using a 155mm ETC gun, but the added expense and the reduced number of shells that could be carried led us to reject that weapons system for the M2 Andrew Lim. The minor benefits to muzzle velocity and to armor penetration - and due to diminishing returns, they are only minor benefits - were not seen as enough to outweigh the previously-mentioned costs.
However, if you wish, and if you provide us with the design for the 155mm ETC gun in question, we may be able to fit the weapon on the tank. For this, you will have to pay $17 million for each tank; if you grant us export rights for the 155mm cannon, the price per unit will be reduced to $16.8 million.

George Grey, Chief Operations Officer at General Dynamics

Seasquid Attack Submarine SSCVN-9
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/seasquid.jpg
We present to you our undersea aircraft platform
which is also a fully functional attack submarine on a par with
the Seawolf class. We have found a way to contain a helicopter
on board our submarines. A sliding panel system and rubberized composite
soft insulation system fully enclose a small triangular
flight deck that can accomadate an AH-220 Sea Lion, AH-1Z SuperCobra
or SH-65A Dolphin helicopter. The attack helicopters can be
re-armed refueled and boarded while the vessel is fully
submerged, however to board the SH-65A you must first open
the panels. All of the accepted helicopter types use folding rotors
to fit in the cramped space. With this new capabilty you can easily
support and escort convoys, carrier groups etc with all the same
features as a frigate. This submarine also contains SAM missiles
(a first in the RL world) so that subs can be used to provide covert
air defense for convoys. The SeaSquid Sub also has an enlarged
sonar array under the nose, towed sonar and side scan sonar.
The sub features an enclosed prop making this sub one of
the quietest in the world.
Propulsion:
(1) Nuclear Reactor w/ Fuel Cell and Battery backup
(1) Ducted Prop.
Armament:
(24) Vertical launch missile cells (Can accomadate ASROCs, Harp00n, SA-101, tomahawk or SM-2 missiles.)
[8] torpedo tubes (compatible with MK46, Shkval\Squall torpedos and mines.)
Misc. Specs.
Length: 350 feet

Max Speed: 35 knots (submerged)
Crusing Speed: 20 knots ("silent" speed)
Crush Depth: 1800ft
Aircraft: 1 helicopter, AH-220, AH-1Z or SH-65A (included, please specify)
Crew: 12 Officers, 4 Warrant Officers, 120 Enlisted

SeaHorse Attack Submarine SSN-10
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/seahorse.jpg
Introducing: our all new attack submarine, meant to replace
the Seawolf and Los Angeles class. The SeaHorse features an ultra sleek design and multiple control surfaces making it one of the most manervable in the world. It's 8 torpedo tubes can fire a number of munitons, including the russion, 230mph Shkval and Phoenix Dynamix's 250mph Squall super cavitating torpedos. This submarine also contains a special launcher which launches anti-ship anti-sub and anti-aircraft missiles. Features a standard hull mounted sonar array, towed sonar and side scan sonar, as well as 36 all new 3 man inflatable escape pods. These pods are made from polyurethane and kevlar and inflate via co2 canisters. They can lift 3 250lb men to the surface from a maximum depth of 1,000 feet. Wieghts are attached which are dropped one by one to ensure proper decompression and prevention of "the bends"
The sub also features the same enclosed prop system as the SeaSquid making this sub extremely quiet.

The Volcano class is an all new state-of-the-art Guided Missile Cruiser based on a gutted Xero class hull. With 132 cruise missiles, it can single handedly do the job of 132 light bombers such as the F-117A!!! While the Phoenix Milita has used its 4 foriegn bought Arsenal Ships for quite some time, we have decided to build this new alternative. It may not carry as many missiles as other Arsenal ships, but I assure you the weapons package we have put together is nearly unstoppable!!! With 96 SA-101 Surface to-Air missiles as well as the AEGIS system, 1 Volcano can provide air cover for an entire battle group.

In Response [Lost Hills Department of Defense; Office of Procurement],

Likely the final design of the OI-33A/SAH-33A will incorporate several stealth technologies. This does not apply to any type of RADAR-defeating or otherwise masking system, as the likelihood of the vehicle facing any notable RADAR-wielding threat [especially at low altitude and in such a cluttered environment] is slim to nonexistent. However, the OI-33A will incorporate several other masking features, ranging from infrared masking and electronic countermeasures to a level of LIDAR/LADAR masking. Sound levels will be heavily reduced [Coanda Effect and the absence of the tail rotor] making its detection range much less [especially to forces not outfitted with advanced threat detection equipment].

All in all, the OI-33A, much like its predecessors, will contain technology to defeat the threats it is most likely to face: infrared-guided man portable air defense weapons and small surface-to-air missile systems [vehicle mounted, IR-guided]. It will also carry a significant amount of armor to defend against most battlefield size weapons rounds [assault rifle, machine gun, some lighter air defense weapons, etc.]. Its third tier of defense would be active/electronic countermeasures systems as well as decoy systems. However, we design our equipment to be modifiable to the end-consumer. Therefore, the platform can be equipped to face whichever threats are most significant to you and your operations.

Furthermore, if you state your interest in procuring the aircraft, this will drive the actual costs down to make the system more affordable. This cost, however, is not set in stone and may fluctuate. Regardless, we hope you judge our product, the OI-33A/SAH-33A Istrebitel, not on its cost or the fact that is incomplete, but rather on the immense quality it would bring to your armed forces, as well as the lethal hand it would provide.

Thank you for considering the OI-33A/SAH-33A for your attack helicopter role.

F/A-117X NightHawk Stealth Fighter (Attack Bomber)
http://www.af.mil/news/airman/0100/f117a.jpg
The F-117A, while a great aircraft, is lacking in many ways, especialy araments. It can never live up to the F designation or its name of "Stealth Fighter". Or can it? The F/A-117X takes the normal F-117A, replaces the engines and upgrades the radar, firecontrol and targeting systems and weapons carrying capacity. With the new weapons capacity the F/A-117X has much improved air-to-air capability. Two ports on the side of the "fuselage" near the engine ports hold 2 defensive air-to air weapons (the M61 Vulcan and the AIM-9X Sidewinder). Also a 3 missile rotary launcher can be affixed to either of the 2 weapons bay, bringing the max # of missiles this aircraft can carry up to 7. These would be perfect to escort B-2s or to be used in concert with regular F-117As.
A phased array radar, new FLIR systems and uprated counter measures have also been added. The aircraft also has in-flight re-fuel capabilty and a less stealthy carrier version is availble for $70million

Angelonisia has a tank that can suit your needs

LX-1 Angelic
http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/5757/lx11qz.jpg
Weapons : 125mm Xiphias ETC gun, assisted by EM rifling (using magnetics to increase the accuracy, Dynamic Gas Channeler (improves the gas pressure effectiveness, and a Heat Electric Counductor (it uses the heat from the friction to recharge the batteries), 2 coaxial 7.56 mm machinegun, 1 removable .50 remote operated gun)
Armor: 4 layers of armor:1050mm
1. Tungsten 500mm (changeable)
2. Depleted Uranium 300mm
3. ERA armor 100mm
4. Reinforced kevlar 100mm
5. Fiber Synthetic Plastic for increased NBC protection 50mm

Crew : 3 (gunner, driver, commander)
Weight : 68 tons
Powerplant : X1Quasi-electric engine (a combination of quasiturbine and electric engine, quite good fuel efficiency)
Speed : 54 km/h(on road), 48 km/h(off road)
Range : 650 km(400miles)
additional equipments : Ground Strike Sensor, All time panoramic view available for helmet, NBC protection, King-500 supercomputer, reduced heat signature, additional UD system available

Discription : The LX-1 Angelic is one of the finest tank in Angelonisia, the designers have included all of the modern day technologies in this tank. The 125mm ETC cannon ensures power and accuracy, it has an equivalent of an 140+mm conventional cannon, but since it’s smaller it is lighter and can carry more rounds. Due to it’s 4 layered armour it can stop a good range of rounds. The tungsten and DU can stop KE and HEAT round, if penetrated the ERA armour will deflect the remaining armour. The armour is also sloped to a degree wich we deem most efficient. The tank uses an auto loader to reduce the crew and also makes the operation of the tank less harder. This tank is powered by a Quasi-electric engine wich is more efficient that normal diesel electric engine.
This tank is the perfect choice for protecting nations to invading other.

To the Soviet Bloc. Lost Hills would be very much interested in procuring this new technology. The armed services would likely use the OI-33A as a replacement for our existing AH-64D and X-20 Helicopters. Procurement figures are looking to be upward of 3,000 units.

To The Phoenix Militia. Thank you very much for your submissions. Lost Hills would like to purchase production rights to: PHX Hi-Power 10mm, PB-88 Fast Attack/Patrol Boat, ALMV/ASAT Anti-Satellite missile, B-69 Skymaster Stealth Bomber, and the UB-21 Aurora Unmanned Bomber. How much would this be?

To imported_Illior. Thank, but Lost Hills has filled the stealth bomber role with TBM's submission.

To The Beltway. At this point, Lost Hills will be willing to purchase 982 M2 Andrew Lim tanks for a total of $15,221,000,000. A naval representative is not needed at this time, but we thank you for the offer.

To Aequatio. The funds have been transferred.

To Angelonisia. Thank you for your submission, but unfortunately we cannot entertain the purchase of this vehicle at this time.

To United Earthlings. Lost Hills will browse the storefront with interest. Thank you.

To The Phoenix Militia. Consider the funds transferred. Thank you.

To The Macabees. Lost Hills views the release of the Arca IV Nakil with great interest. It appears to be a smashing MBT and would be an excellent replacement for our current T-7 Gilgameshes. We have several questions.

1.) Would it be possible to replace the co-axial and commander's weapons with our own designs?

2.) What is this tank's capabilities against a swarm of smaller vehicles? For example, what if 30 technicals or smaller vehicles with ATGMs rushed around the tank and started firing missiles into it?

3.) What is this tank's capabilities in resisting current and next-generation missiles? Lost Hills recently purchased rights to the GWS.77 Emu, an ATGM that can penetrate up to 1400mm RHA.

Lost Hills, however, look forward to snapping up as many of these things as we can.

To The Beltway. Thank you.

Telegram Detailing Responses to Questionairre
Thank you for replying to us so quickly and showing interest in the Nakíl. We would be glad to respond to those questions as honestly and fullfillingly as possible. The secondary armaments, including the machine guns, can be replaced with your own designs, or anything of your choosing, even if its a foreign design. Secondly, relating to the threat of anti-tank guided missiles. The Nakíls should not be operating alone, meaning it's a rear day when technicals can outnumber tanks, given that technicals do not normally operate in large numbers [due to the lack of money and availability of the raw resources needed to build them], and given higher armor levels and the hard-kill active protection system the Nakíl has a very high survivability rate against ATGMs, on its own. It's been found though that the greatest defense comes from the training of the crew, and how the crew learns to find incoming threats and manuever to confuse them - the Israelis did the same when their Merkava IIs were being knocked out by Saggers and Faggots [name of the missiles]. But beyond that the Nakíl offers much in the way of automated defenses against such threats, although the threat is still not unexisted - but it does one of the best jobs to curtail said threat.

We'd be happy to work out with Lost Hills a unique variant to the tank [sorta like the Spanish Leopard 2E, which is the Spanish variant of the Leopard 2A6. We could call it Nakíl 1LH, or something of the sort].

Lost Hills would be very happy to work with Kriegzimmer to produce a native version of the Nakil. Frankly, most of the current design is very acceptable already, save for one last thing.

Our doctrine with armored vehicles generally calls for tanks to eliminate threats in the area and allow dismounted mechanized infantry to move in and secure the area. As such, we are nervous about the implementation of ERA on the Nakil. What would be the affect on infantrymen in battlesuits who are in proximity to a Nakil if it is struck by a HEAT round or ATGM?

From: Core Naval Corporation (CNC)
Subject: Dreadnought Contender

We at Core Naval Corporation have heard recently that your great nation is holding a competition for contracts on various things. A fellow Space Union company, SUAI, won the Electronics and Heavy Airlift contracts and we wish to submit possible contenders to your Dreadnought category. The dreadnaught is the Battleaxe-Class Dreadnaught.

Battleaxe-Class Dreadnaught (DN)

The Battleaxe-Class Dreadnaught (DN) is Space Union's first origional naval design from a domestic company. After the Chamber of Electorates found out about the military's sheer dependance on foreign contractors, they ordered for the Space Union Navy to allow domestic companies to begin producing designs for them. Relunctantly, the SUN agreed to this and held a competition in which 10 different companies submitted a design for a dreadnaught vessal. The winner ended up being the small and independent company of Core Naval Corporation. Although origionally relunctant to hold the competition, after seeing the Core Naval Corps design, instantly began increasing funding for it. By the end of that year, a prototype had been built and tested with great results, easily outpacing any other similar designs in the competition. The Battleaxe-Class is designed to be the front-of-the-line combatant ship that will deliver the heavy pounding to the enemy. Armed with 635 and 155 mm Mark IV ETC guns, this monster is capable of holding its own against any dreadnaught in the world.

The Battleaxe-Class Dreadnaught is a formidable opponent designed to compete with the best of the best, neck on. Core Naval Corp. engineers based the design off several Portland Iron Work and Royal Isselmere-Nieland Shipyard designs. Outfitted with 20x 635mm Mark IV ETC guns in five turrets in a quadruple-gun configuration, 30x 155mm Mark IV ETC guns in ten turrets as triple-gun configuration, 10x 100-Cell Mk. 136 VLS, and various assortments of torpedo tubes along with a Close-In Weapons System (CIWS) for last ditch defense against bombardment. This layout of armament is what allows the Battleaxe-Class to be a fearsome ship to be reckoned with on the high seas. Further the armor, being over 1,500mm in many places, is developed in a composite layout to ensure that the ship can take a heavy beating yet not sink and still dish out some punches of its own. Combine this with its superb sensor and electronics suite made with fiber optics capable and housing a supercomputer capable of doing over two trillion floating point operations per second that powers the entire ship's electronics suites, the Battleaxe can effectively annihilate an opponent with a flick of its grace and beauty.

In mid-2006, the Space Union Navy announced that it will begin ordering the Battleaxe-Class Dreadnaught to replace its fleet of PIW battleships, being the first step in what the Chamber calls "domestication of the military". It is expected that the navy could order as many as 100 of these giants in the next 30 years. The Core Naval Corp has also shown interest in the possibility of a toned down version being offered for sale, though, it is not known how good it would do against comparable ships from known naval-vendors around the world. Anaylist and executives are optimistic still and a spokesperson on behalf of CNC had this to say, "If there's a demand, there will be a supply."

Communiqué to the Office of Procurement of the Lost Hills Department of Defense

The explosive reactive armor, especially the heavy explosive reactive armor, which is hull integrated would have to be removed before manufacturing. In other words, it would have to be manufactured without it. The light explosive reactive armor on the roof is appliqué, so that won't be a problem - in any case, roof ERA shouldn't provide much of a problem against infantry, and so it would probably be best to keep it. Regardless, for the hull integrated HERA [heavy ERA] that can left out during manufacturing, and instead we'd just thicken the armor proportionally, especially on the weakened zones, mantlet and turret corners, as well as the upper glacis. In fact, the turret weakened zones, mantlet and turret corners can be fitted with greater chunks of 'Idaisu' [it's in the Nakíl thread, and you can just search for it - it's a pretty short paragraph :) ], and thus put heavier pieces of ceramic armor on the upper and lower glacis, as well as in the rear. It should make up for the loss of the heavy explosive reactive armor, and not put your infantry in danger. Any other dangers to the infantry would come from the active protection system, but since it's styled like the Israeli TROPHY it shouldn't provide a threat to nearby infantry [OOC: At least this was said by them in an interview with Janes].

In any case, should a nearby infantry man be hit with an ATGM, that man is most likely a dead man. But consider it like this - that man most likely skewed the path of the ATGM, making it easier for the APS to deny it, or reducing overall penetration. If an infantryman is hit by a HEAT shell, he will also die. But one man is better than one tank and three men, whilst it'd be an extremely rear occurance that an ATGM or a HEAT shell hit a nearby infantryman and not the tank.

To The Space Union. Unfortunately, at this time we are searching for a capital ship with more VLS capacity. Thank you.

To The Macabees. Our questions have been answered successfully. Thank you very much for your thoughtful consideration of our requests. At this point, Lost Hills would like to purchase 492 Nakils to outfit an armored cavalry division with. Lost Hills ultimately hopes to acquire 2952 Nakils over the next 16 years, with options for more in the future.

Lost Hills reads that production rights to the logisitical aspects of this tank are not included. Can we work out a deal for Kriegzimmer to supply the Army with these supplies for a certain amount of money per year?

Thank you again. Lost Hills looks forward to working with Kriegzimmer in the future.

Thank you for showing prolonged interest in the Nakíl - we surely give our gratitude. In that fashion, the Nakíl 1LH will begin export to Lost Hills immediately. This variant includes the elimination of the heavy ERA and instead adding more ceramic armor. That said, Kriegzimmer can provide enough replacements annually for your armor for X cost [OOC: We can just assume that you pay and I deliver fairly...since I really don't know how much it would really cost to supply this]. With that confirmed, four hundred and ninety-two [492] Nakíl 1LHs will be delivered within the next six months, and two thousand nine hundred and fifty-two [2,952] in the next sixteen years; ~15-16 a month, sent in annual batches. And thank you. Never have we had a customer that has taken such an active stance in curtailing a design for their own needs, and you cannot begin to believe how much we respect that.

To The Macabees. It is a rare pleasure to deal with an arms designer who puts so much thought and craftsmanship into a design. Truly, with the Arca. IV, this has been elevated to an art.

At this point, Lost Hills still requires effective replacements for our naval vessels, as well as a general reorganization of the naval structure as a whole. Would Kriegzimmer have any recommendations in this regard? Lost Hills is particularly interested in alternatives to the heavy guns that so many nations seem to favor. Lost Hills views VLS cells and heavy missiles as the crux of our naval doctrine.

We thank you for your kind words. Ironically, the Kriermada's strategy has begun to shift to heavy guns, and so we would suggest something along the lines of Portland Iron Works or, just as good, Isselmere's naval industries [can't think of the exact name]. The latter would be our personal favourite, but the former offers much in the way of quality shipping.

OOC: Here's an aircraft carrier design for your aircraft carrier category. I'm too lazy to put up an IC post, so sorry about that. Here's the stats:

Conquerer-Class Supercarrier

The Conquerer-Class Supercarrier CVN was born out of the need for a large carrier to supplement in Space Union Naval Fleets around the world. It was designed to replace the Portland Iron Works' Gavin-Class Hypercarrier. It is following the outline by the Chamber of Electorates of Space Union to domesticate the Space Union Navy with companies like Core Naval Corporation (CNC). CNC, after producing the Battleaxe-Class Dreadnaught, submitted a design for a large CVN, which would carry a large amount of aircrafts and provide aerial support where needed around the world. It is designed to fit snuggly into all of Space Union's current Naval Armadas while offering a new set of capabilities with its advanced design, electronics, and aerial support capacity. It truely is the next generation carrier for the Space Union Navy.

The Conquerer-Class originated when CNC engineers submitted a carrier design to the Space Union Naval Design Academy in an attempt to secure a contract for a new large supercarrier for the Space Union Navy. After a series of reviews, the original design was rejected, though, SUN saw interest in it and asked for CNC to redesign it based on a set of specifications set by the SUN. These specifications included that it should be large than 700 meters, have enough internal and deck space to house more than 600 tactical-sized aircrafts, be capable of operating anywhere in the world, and lastly be capable of launching an aircraft every 15 seconds. With these design perimeters, CNC went to work and a month later formally submitted a new design. SUN reviewed this design once more and were very pleased by its capabilities. CNC was awarded a contract to build the new carriers. It is capable of carrying 620 tactical-sized aircrafts, 75 medium-sized helicopters, features 10 arrest wires and steam-driven catapults along with 15 lifts around the flight deck. It can launch an aircraft every 12 seconds from its flight deck, for an added bonus. All in all, the mere sight of the Conquerer-Class CVN will likely send an enemy looking for cover from its awesome might. Along with the Battleaxe-Class Dreadnaught and the Templar-Class Heavy Dreadnaught, it will serve as the capital ship of the Space Union Naval Fleets/Armadas.

To LH -
Baltimore Shipyards is proud to offer you the Mk. 58 Keelbreaker (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10285117&postcount=12) large-bore torpedo. This torpedo carries a 1,320 pound (600 kilogram) high explosive warhead up to one hundred nautical miles. It travels slowly (12 knots) to reduce the range at which it can be detected and increase the kill radius of the torpedo, then speeds up to 55 knots to ensure a kill. In short, this torpedo is a highly effective anti-ship or anti-sub weapon, able to slip in and kill its prey. We hope you consider this bid, along with the other bids of Baltimore Shipyards, in a fair and impartial manner.
Sincerely,
Adm. Thad Cochrane, CEO of Baltimore Shipyards

Not that I (OOCly) think that you didn't accept Baltimore Shipyards carriers due to some sort of partisanship; it's just that Baltimore Shipyards, given the rejection of its offer to send a sales rep, has to wonder...

The Beltway
25-04-2006, 22:32
To LH -
Normally, one does not fire a torpedo from a VLS cell, as vertical launch is rarely seen as necessary for deploying torpedoes.
This torpedo will have to be fired from large-bore torpedo tubes. The two designs submitted by The Beltway both carry torpedo tubes for the Mk. 58; further, it should not be too difficult to refit other submarines with large-bore tubes (although you will have fewer torpedoes, due to the sheer size of 42" torpedoes and their tubes).

OOC: I noticed that you won't have the five dreadnoughts that you wanted. I would be willing to sell you 4 Battleaxe-Class Battledreadnoughts (basically an enhanced version because I changed my mind and just basically made it into a superdreadnought that's called a battledreadnought). Would you be interested? I'm still getting the specs hammered out so I can't give you anything right now but in a couple of days (2-3) I would be willing to sell them to you.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v671/lazyjim/jiangwei-IV.png

Name: Ii-084 'Jiangwei' Type IV
Type: Multi-role Frigate
Displacement: (standard load) 2,800 tons; (full load) 3,000 tons
Dimensions: Length 112m; Beam 13.2m, Draft 4.3m
Speed: Maximum 32 knots; Cruising 25 knots
Range: 5,200 miles @ 25 knots
Crew: 165 (30 officers)

Armament:
1x Dual Bt-3G 100mm autocannon,
1x 6 cell Ht-56 'Hawk' SAM launcher
2x 'Paoji' RADAR guided CWIS
1x 4 cell Ht-20 'Gnat' RAM Launcher
4x 4 cell Ht-700 'Sun Jian' Type I SSM Launchers [Internal]

Design:
The hull is a modified Type III that keeps the rear helipad but has a sloped and angled superstructure for less return on RADAR scopes. The new superstructure however means that the SSM missile lauchers had to be mounted internally and that heavier Ht-245 'Gan Ning' Type II LRSSM missiles can no longer be mounted without extended remodelling. (There are some Ii-084s that are planned to mount four single cell 'Gan Ning' launchers with a single reload for each launcher.

Aviation:
The Ii-084 carries a single Ka-80N 'Attila' Assault helicopter equipped with mountings for two Type-91 600mm torpedoes, the helicopter also has SONAR dip sensor that can be lowered into the water. Only one helicopter can be accomodated at a single time.

Electronic Warfare:
The Ii-084 is equped with an extensive counter measures suite which includes;
TdR-9 intercept, Type-921-F jammers, TdSR-320 RADAR warning reciever, Type-79P IFF and two Bt-190 15-barrel chaff/decoy rocket launchers.

Propulsion:
Adressing the Ii-072's speed issues a larger, more effecient powerplant was procured from heavy industry manufacturer Yanpei Technologies for the Ii-084. This power plant gave signficant increases in speed over the Tian' do Type-4 used in the Ii-072, however range was slightly reduced from the Ii-072.

Unit cost: 680 Million USD

(Note: All native Ato-Saran weapons sytems can be stripped out on request ready for replacement by weapons systems of your choice)

Valens Res Publica Main Battle Tank // Crusader Weapons <--- Valens Res Publica Private Military Contractor
The Mammoth Tank

Weight: 54 TONS
Engine: Detroit Diesel 1500bhp
Armaments:

* 20mm Vulcan Machine gun a Skate Mount
* 130mm Smoothbore Gun
* Coaxially mounted M-134 minigun with a large armored cupola protecting the gunner.
* Mk-19 40mm automatic grenade launcher; also has a large armored cupola protecting the gunner.
* 2, 4 Tube, M220 launcher Missle System Modified for: TOW BGM-71, and other TOW Variants, Dragon, and or Javelin Missles.

Electronics: CW (TCMS) - NV, IR, redundant satellite imagery transceivers and processors, GPS transceivers, target prioritisation and acquisition software, Optical Surveillance System.

Comments: Due to the enourmous gas guzzling properties of the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle thank a new engine was in need, that being of a Detroit Diesel 1500bhp which produces nearly the same power if not the same with less fuel usage. Also, a 120mm smoothbore cannon; coaxially mounted XM-134 minigun with a large armored cupola protecting the gunner as well as a Mk-19 40mm automatic grenade launcher to provide far more firepower and pulverise nearby infantry. Also with the use of new alloys being Titanium-Fullerenes and Alumina-Oxide the weight of the previous behemoth M1A1 Abrams is SEVERELY reduced. By about a dozen tons; also it is armored much better. Also because of the weight reduction there is much more power per ton meaning the Mammoth tank can get better range per the same volume of fuel as well as have a higher top speed than the M1A1.
Top Speed: 76 MPH On propper surfaces.

Price: 8.5 Million Dollars

Armor: 4 Inches of Titanium 6/6/2 -Fullerenes, 3 Inches of Alumina-Oxide, and the rest of the tank has 2 inches of Chobam Armor.

The Armor upon this tank could even take a direct hit from a 420mm Gauss Gun firing a tungsten HEAT round fired at 300+ miles per hour in the back armor. The Titanium 6/6/2-Fullerenes makes a metal alloy which can stand a 18 freight train's moving at 600 mph imact per square centi-meter. Roughtly the size of ones fingernail.

Other Comments: We are not willing to give up prodiction rights unless you pay 15 billion up front for production rights.

Position Wanted: Heavy Battle Tank

Lost Hills was thinking more of sneaking underneath an enemy ship and firing this torpedo vertically directly into the bottomside of the enemy ship. This has been demonstrated as effective before.

To LH DoD -
ASW equipment is getting more and more effective; it is becoming more advisable to shoot at range rather than to press one's luck. Further, the Keelbreaker's attack profile is somewhat similar; it starts out slow, to avoid detection, then speeds up to secure a hit and targets the keel of its victim.
Sincerely,
Daniel James, Navy Minister of The Beltway

How do you fit a Vulcan, a larger (and reputedly more effective) armor package, and missiles on an M1A1 chassis and end up with a lower weight?

Battleaxe-Class Battledreadnought (BDN)

The Battleaxe-Class Battledreadnought is one of Space Union's first real naval design in the NS world. Although there have been ship building companies in Space Union, none has ever got out and become a international seller of warships and naval equipment. But a small company called Core Naval Solutions Incorporated (CNSI) has changed that by submitting a design to the Space Union Navy to replace its aging fleet of superdreadnoughts. The design, dubbed the Battleaxe-Class Battledreadnought (BDN), is the largest class in the Space Union Navy ever to enter service. It is equipped with an armada of weapons ranging from a large complement of heavy naval batteries to its powerful assortment of vertical launch system (VLS) missiles. It can pack a punch unmatched by most similar classes in the world. Designed to have a large thick armor, it can withstand tremendous blows to its hull yet survive with mere scratches and dish out a punishment so punishing that enemy ships will run in fear away from its mere shadow.

The Battleaxe-Class is designed around the Space Union Navy doctrine that outlines the need of large guns over missiles. With the increasing amount of superdreadnoughts in the world, missiles have become ineffective in taking down these mammoths and the more traditional guns have found that they are now the new weapon of choice once more in order to take down the "Queens of the Sea". To ensure its success, it is armed to the teeth with large caliber guns, having 25x 635mm Mark IV ETC guns in 5 turrets (5-gun configuration); 55x 155mm Naval Railguns in 10 turrets (5-gun configuration); 200 76mm Smoothbore Naval Autocannons in 4 turrets (50 guns per turret); over 30,000 VLS cells; and a pleothra of torpedo tubes and CIWS dotting the hull. This along with its powerful armor protection make it incredibally deadly in the arena of naval combat. Any ship that dares to defy it is likely to not leave without a cracking hull and a punishing blow to the crew's morale. The Battleaxe-Class Battledreadnought is the next-generation for the Space Union Navy.

Although the Battleaxe-Class Battledreadnought is formidable on its own right, a larger derivative ordered by the Space Union Navy, dubbed the Audacious-Class Heavy Battledreadnought (HBDN), is enlarged with increased armament and weaponry. It is designed to be a single-ship class, though, if it does overally well, it may be expanded to maybe four. It's main goal will be Grand Flagship of the Space Union Navy, commanded by Admiral of the Navy (Supreme Admiral) Harman Sidhu.

At this point, Lost Hills is still searching for effective escorts and bombardment craft for our deep water navy, as well as littoral combat vessels for close-in short support.

Pending the confirmation of the Hood purchase, Lost Hills will also begin construction of 5 Sea Bases to be placed in strategic locations around the island of Lost Hills. They would serve a double purpose of being dry docks for our new superdreadnoughts, as well as ports for commercial traffic. They would also defend the numerous derricks mining oil and natural gas in and around the greater Sea of Lost Hills area. (OOC: More for RP purposes than anything else...I'll post a writeup in the NS Draftroom when I get a chance)

Thanks again for all submissions.

RE: LCS for Lost Hills Navy

Dear Sir/Madam,

Though we are unable to offer our own indigenous design for a Littoral Combat Ship, we have a client which helps us arm our military forces - Clan Smoke Jaguar Military Industries. Their Tarantula-class Littoral Combat Ship should be fit for the Lost Hills Navy, and the attachment is right here in this communique.

Yours Sincerely,
Southeast Asian Ministry of Defense

P.S. Note that we cannot speak for CSJMI, so don't contact us should the Tarantula emerge victorious. Instead, contact the CSJMI Naval Sales Department (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=278770).

Aircraft: 1xMH-60, 3 MR UAVs.
Crew: 75 max
A new light vessel for littoral (inshore) operations. It has modular systems packages allowing for assorted sensors and fire control systems to be fitted depending on the role. Combined with the VLS cells, which can accept a wide range of missiles. Additionally, the large helicopter platform and hangar allow for a decent aircraft complement to be carried, including UAVs and helicopters. These combine to provide for a very versatile vessel which is capable of performing ASW, ASuW, MCM, SAR, BSR, intelligence, and limited anti-aircraft missions, with only simple modifications needed for each one. Indeed, the ship's systems can be switched for another role within 1-2 days. The vessel is also extremely fast, and very stealthy, which gives it great survivability. Operational endurance is 3 weeks without resupply.
Cost: $200 million (base vessel), $280 million (all alternative systems included)
