How about Ceroj Island? It's basically a big, flat sandbar with a few palm trees and a little grass in the iddle of nowhere. I'll start, by asking for a friendly wargame.

"Okay, everyone." the squad commandewr told the troops. "Everyone advance, through the jungle. Ambush them from the sides if possible, and strike fro mthe jungle. Tanks, you come in as soo nas the infantry ambush. Now, let's go!"

The trtoops shouted the Pythogrian warcry. "Kas Naradas!"

Troops set themselves up in the jungles, ready to ambush the enemy. Tanks hid, ready to burst out of the tres at any time.

The Squad commander sighted enemy troops.

"Defensive positions... Take them from the side. Go through the trees."

Troops went through the jungle, being very careful not to be seen. They came so they were beside and behind the enemy. The tanks remained ready to attack from the front.

Infantry began firing using ZA-1 assualt rifles and ZT-1 AT missiles. (Both, of course, used paintballs.) After a good few seconds of firing, they snuck back, into the forest, and scattered into groups of five, ready to ambush again.

Get low I yelled at my troops while I sniped a few men from a distance and watched them scream in pain and fall. Four of my men have been shot I mutter to my self.

IC:

A soldier saw the man, and called two others. They flanked him, and opened fire.

The tanks, which were hidden before, decided to charge fro mwhat was now behind the enemy. They charged at 50 mph, and opened fire upon enemy infantry with .50 caliber machine guns. Infantry carrying ZT-1 anti-tank launchers flanked enemy tanks, blitzing them with missiles. All this of course, was carrying paint. Don't want to kill i na wargame.

The grenade, being... a grenade, does almost nothing to the tank, having landed on the thickest armor. The tank target's the thrower specifically, with all four of it's machine guns. Troops from th other side produce one big burst of fire at the squad of troops firing back, right after flanking again. The "beserk" tactic isn't very accurate, but it does get 3 men. 16 are left, plus both tanks.

OOC: Okay FTN, this is getting...slightly better. Look, you really need to read the godamned stickies. Not just whizz past them, but really read them in depth to understand what NS is about and how to write. Here, lemme give you an example of better RPing based on what you're trying to do:

The four Blackhawk helicopters raced low over the forested area; the tops of trees occasionally brushed against the dull black paint on the bottom of the helicopters, creating a thousand different scratches. In the lead Blackhawk, Major Antony Yutah checked the magazine in his M-16 for what seemed like the hundreth time, pulling it out and tapping it gently on his helmet to ensure all the rounds were safe and secure; once again, they were. Realising that he was obsessing, Yutah placed the magazine into the weapin, pulled the bolt and secured it for the last time. As branches and trees flashed past the open door of the helicopter, creating an almost hypnotic effect, Yutah turned away and checked on the rest of his men. The other nine men in this squad seemed ready for action; their weapons were ready, webbing and other equipment secured and ready for action.

He turned as the helicopter pilot shouted out a warning, nearly deafened by the wind whistling through the aircraft. "Ten Seconds!" came the cry. Yutah grabbed his rifle and nodded to his men. He crouched by the door and waited for the helicopter to land. The landscape seemed to turn on its side as the helicopter banked and weaved to make it a harder target for enemy fire, then landed hard on the ground, rotor blades creating a whirlwind of dust that swirled around Yutahs helicopter and the other three that landed behind it. With a shout to his men to follow, Yutah jumped out of the helicopter, head bent low to avoid the still turning blades and ran towards the treeline, weapon up. Behind him, the other men and women of his commad raced forward, weapons up and ready to fire.

For a moment, Yutah thought the intelligence bods had got it wrong, that no-one was around in this godforsaken piece of forest. But then there came the rippling snarl of a machinegun, and the trees ahead of him came alive with the sound of weapons and flashes of gunfire. Bullets began hitting the ground and filling the air; Yutah dived for the scant cover the ground offered and screamed for his men to do the same. Most made it, but a few were a fraction too slow, cut down by the murderous fire thrown at them by the ambushers. Their bodies hit the ground with a dull thud, blood soaking into the soft ground even as Yutah and the remaining troops returned fire, guns roaring....


OOC: You see, FTN? This is good writing. Of course, it doesn't have to be this good at the start, you're still learning, but this is what you can aim for. Just use your imagination in each post, then wait for your opponent to post a reply, then react to what they do in the same style. Also, read the stickies; I can't emphasise that enough.

No problem. Just think of RPing as writing a book; a book that constantly evolves and changes with input from multiple authors, and chapters that react from the actions in the preceding one.

My suggestions for this RP are pretty simple. 1, you should have an RP outside the "wargame," like having a joint "basecamp" where 'eliminated' players go. You could have some general conversation there between both sides. That would help with the multiple character issue. You could also get him some 'live fire' training by allowing me to drop off my REAL special forces intent on showing the other soldiers on the island a thing or two. We could do a brief shootout and then have everyone go home happy.]
