Broken Glass: Corruption of Prince and Country (ATTN GFFA, Chronosia)

Tancred smiled. Arveene had provided yet another piece of information from the Alpha Legions ever-useful intelligence network. And this was something he would have sent a Milli to their deaths for. The Alliance Separatists, a group of worlds near Starenell, were planning something. Normally they paid some fealty to Starenell but were mostly ignored. The agents were not yet sure what was going on, but there had been a build up of military ships since Tancred attacked the rebellion on Alcor, more brutally than most considered necessary. The rebels were still there, but Alcor had involuntarily seceded from Starenell.

Another great trouble was the betrayal of Marius Roctiv. Marius had always been against authority, and on Alcor his resolve had snapped. When he was tasked with leading a force to a rebel base and destroying it, he went there, but gave his coordinates to the enemy and the artillery. He and one of Tancred's most loyal units, the Chaos Biters had either disappeared in the rain of shells, or been mopped up by rebel forces. He was listed as dead in battle, but Tancred was suspicious.

Tancred was angry. He had to separate Alcor from Starenell, or the rebellion could have succeeded over and over. He knew his way was right, he was the First Prince, leader of Starenell! Also, inside, deep inside, Tancred was sad. Marius was a good friend, like any of the Shields. But his betrayal had taught Tancred one thing. He must never let his guard down. He would bring Starenell to the top by being ruthless, and doing exactly what was needed to succeed. He opened a semi-secure channel to Arveene and sent a message:

Thank you for the package. Very interesting. Will be acted upon. Any fee?

Tancred waited for a few minutes, playing 3D minesweeper until a reply came.

No. But…
Look into the Blood God.

OOC: The Blood God is the Staric version of Khorne, one of the Chaos gods.

OOC: Want Red Rosa to intercept that, or no?

OOC: Feel free. A bit of research will reveal what the Blood God is, and I think they should know what Khorne is.

OOC: Gotcha.

IC:

This being a semi-secret channel, Red Rosa hackers intercepted the message with a little time and gumption. It took them a bit to break through the codes and the firewalls, but they got these two messages from traffic:

Thank you for the package. Very interesting. Will be acted upon. Any fee?

No. But…
Look into the Blood God.

The content was disturbing.

One of the hackers had a vague suspicion of who the Blood God was-contact with the Chronosians in the New Territories (where he was from) had brought them in contact with the Chaos Religion.

Fact-checked with ISB and the Commissariat of Science's Anthro-Xenopology Bureau, it became clear. This was an invitation to join the Cult of Khorne, at least the Staric version. And they knew how bad Khorne could be.

This was quickly forwarded to Allied (GFFA and Resistance) agents in the field. They had to know.
