CIUDAD FUJITA, PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF H-TOWN TEJAS
Akemi Nagaraku sat in the back seat of a Cadillac Escalade ESV while it drove through the streets of Ciudad Fujita.
"Mikel," she said to the PRH-TT foreign minister sitting next to her, "Are you sure he'll be okay?"
A month ago, PRH-TT President and Chairman of the Tejano Worker's Party Ryouta Nagaraku, and Akemi's husband, had almost been killed by anti-government terrorists. He survived, but he had been put in the hospital and was still in a coma.
"I'm sure he's fine, Akemi," Mikel said, "Stop worrying."
"Easy for you to say," Akemi said, "I haven't seen him since this whole fiasco."
"Neither have I," Mikel said, "And he's one of my best friends."
"I know, I know," Akemi said. She sighed and looked out of the window.
That's when she noticed the white Ford pickup that had been tailing them. She also noticed a man with an HK 13 LMG. He pointed it at her.
"M...Mikel," she said, pointing out of the window.
Mikel looked.
"Shit!" he said, "Driver! Get us..."
It was too late. The man opened fire , bullets slamming into Akemi.
The ESV stopped. Mikel and the driver hopped out with AK-104s. They pointed the assault carbines at the gunner and opened fire. Soon, they had cut down everyone in the white Ford.
The driver immediately went back into the car to check on Ms. Nagaraku. Most government officials, such as Chairman Nagaraku, could survive such haphazard gunfire, as most had taken part in the revolution. However, Akemi wasn't one of them. She was dead as a doornail.
Mikel's cell rang.
"Yeah?...Chairman Nagaraku's out of his coma?" he said.
"Let's get to the hospital," he sighed, "Chairman Nagaraku just woke up.
The two hopped into the car and drove to the hospital.
In Chairman Nagaraku's room, the rest of his direct family, along with about five Military Internal Bureau bodyguards, were all talking to the recently awoken Chairman.
"Mikel-chan?" Ran, the Chairman's twelve-year old daughter said when Mikel came in, "Wasn't Mom supposed to come?"
The Chairman looked up, "Where's Akemi?"
Mikel sighed, hanging his head, "Ryouta, Ran, Katsuro, there's no good way to explain this..."
