Return of Anubis(OPEN Mercenaries wanted)
The Zombie Alliance

OOC: I got bored. I wrote a thread. I need mercenaries and bounty hunters to join the thread and hunt down Anubis. I will be RPing as both the Zombie Alliance and the Anubicites.
EDIT-> This RP is now closed!
The old man was delirius. "Behold!" he shouted, holding up a scarred hand, "The true Lord has returned and this be his mark! For centuries you have all worshiped the false brother of the true lord of death!" he made a broad, sweeping gesture towards a gathering crowd of Alliancers, both living and undead, as they came out into the wide, Alliance City street.
"The true lord of death, King Anubis, has returned from his long exile, and He and his people shall finally rid this land of the unfaithfull! Repent, my countrymen! Return to your true king!"
A man in black leather clothes with a long red cape pushed his way through the throng of people, followed by three axe-wielding mummies. "What is this?" he demanded. He was wearing the crown of thorns that identified him as a guard of the ZA Death Cult.
"You!" shouted the raving geaser at the policman, "You are the worst of all! You have not only betrayed your king, but you have sworn to fight for that...that userper, Lord Necromancer?!?!?! When Anubis comes to cleanse this nest of wikedness, you shall surely be among the first to die!"
The policeman sneered, "We shall see. Mummies, arrest this man!"
The axe mummies grabbed the struggling heretic by both arms and dragged him away. The people only stared as the prisoner shouted from the armes of his captors, "Let not these jailers of a false god lead you astray! Repent! Anubis is the true lord of death, the true..." As the mummies pulled him away, his voice became quieter until it could not be heard.
"Go about your buisness, people!" ordered the policeman, "Nothing left to see here, move along!"
That night in the Zombie Vatican, Alliance City, the Zombie Alliance. Private office of Lord Necromancer.
"Ha! My lord, you would never believe this man the secret police brought in today," laughed Prinn, Lord Necromancer's friend and cheif of security, "Raving about some death lord, calling you a usurper, demanding that people repent, all that. It was almost funny."
Lord Necromancer looked up from the papers he had been studying on the history of the Alliance's neighbors, the Force Rangers. "From your tone, Prinn, it sound like you think it was more than almost funny." the dictator of the Zombie Alliance, however, was not bent in anything resembling a smile. Lord Necromancer rarely smiled, exept when enjoying a concubine or learning that his Horde had won a major battle. "Did this heretic happen to mention a name?" he asked, sipping some bloodwine.
"Uh, yes, my lord," said Prinn, "I believe is was...Akubis? Anubis?"
Lord Necromancer slammed his bottle of bloodwine to the desk, shattering it to pieces.(the bottle that is, not the desk) "Anubis?" he demanded, his face filling with anger, "Did you say 'Anubis?'"
"Er, y-yes milord..." began the cheif of security.
Lord Necromancer got up and stalked over to the window, his pale and bony hands held behind his back. He overlooked the frozen wasteland that was his kingdom. "I was so sure that..." he whispered under his breath, "my brother has been missing for over six-hundred years...How?"
"Your brother, milord?"
"You are dismissed, Prinn."
"Milord?"
"YOU ARE DISMISSED!"
-------------------------------------
At 8:50 A.M. local time the following morning, a revolt occured in the Zombie Alliance city of Tar'Kanar. The violence was quelled, but in the fighting Lady Cil, Lord Necromancer's favorite daughter, was killed. The Zombie Vatican has placed a $50,000,000 price on a necromancer who responds to the name Anubis or Oth Necros, who has been directly linked by local law enforcement to the incedent.
Any mercenary or bounty hunter who wishes to collect this bounty should report to the Zombie Vatican in Alliance City, Zombie Alliance. It is located on the north coast of the region of Antartica.

Cold air swarmed passed the woman who walked down the streets of Alliance City. An icy breeze blew past her and played with her white hair. It picked up her hair and revealed her true face, half of which was patched over in a metal plate. Her mouth area, which had not been patched over in metal, revealed heavy scaring that dissapeared under the metal plate that covered her eye, or rather where it should be. The Tshirt she wore failed in an attempt to cover her arm, which was in similar shape to her face, except it seemed the arm was nonexistant, and only a metal replacement from halfway down the bicep. Her pants, however, did an excelent job of discarding the thought that one leg was entirely different from the other.
Clutched in her metal arm she carried a duffel bag. Nothing could break the ironclad grip of that fist. Behind her a klink sound was made about every fourth step. A snow leopard who had a similar replacement to the woman walked behind her, it's metallic leg clinking on the pavement, half of it's tail was obviously replaced as well, but most noticibly, it's jaw had metal running along the bottom which dissapeared into the fur. One of the beasts eye's glowed red as if it was anything but real.
She climbed up the steps of the Vatican with ease, and entered the building. Her single eye scanned the lobby and she stepped up to a receptionist looking person.
"Mercenaries?" Was the only word out of her mouth. She wasn't stupid, it's just talking was painful, so she limited it as much as possible. Also, her mind had been effected by the mechanical side of her body, and communication was cut down to the most logical things needed to convey a point, or recieve the point.

"Ah, finally," said the receptionist, a mortal woman, "You want Prinn, chief of security. His office is-"
"That is not necessary," Prinn said as he strided into the reception hall, "So you're the bounty hunter?" he extended a hand in welcome, "It is good that you have come. Will you stay in the city for a while or shall I brief you and you get on your way?"

She noticed that the woman was human which raised a distinct thought in her mind. She was knew she was mortal, but she wasn't sure she was entirely human, lately it seemed as if the machine that operated about fifty percent of her vital functions had been assimilating her mind. A stringy headache had been buzzing in her head as of late, but she always fought it back.
"I believe I'd prefer the cold confines of the frozen wasteland to any place where people reside," she said in response to the question posed. It seemed more to her that the machine was speaking than her.
She didn't mean to be insulting, but she was a loner, and engineered to be more adept in freezing wastelands. The last frontier was being ruined, her last homestay away from civilization. People were taking over Antarctica.

OOC: Is this Magi-Tech, or MT? Or a blending of both?
The man stepped off the plane, and sighed as he looked around him. His job took him all over the world, but he had never liked the arctic weather or climate too much. Still, a job was a job. And with such a large paycheck for a single job, it was a no-brainer.
His hard-bitten face was protected by a high collar jacket, which covered the high-neck collar of his thermal top underneath it. He picked up the bag that was flung out of the aircraft behind him, and slung it over his broad shoulders, trduging towards the distant terminal of the Zombie Vatican, or the nearest airstrip to it.
He'd heard of this Anubis, a necromancer from what he'd heard. Most in the merc community had some sense that there was something beyond the physical realm, something more spiritual. Although Zac believed in it, he had never taken it too seriously, although the request for bounty hunters had seemed geniunely concerned. He'd seen some weird stuff in his thirty-five year career, a career that was now taking him into his early fifties. His hair, previously a mousy brown, had long since gone grey from all the stress he'd been exposed to. He'd spent the better half of his carrer working for a PMC (Private Military CompanY), Displace International, and still did work for them on occasions. Now though, he was mostly freelance, meaning he chose his own work, when he chose.
When he eventually arrived at his destination, he hesitated a moment, before walking in. He spied Prinn (a good merc always does his intel before going on a job), and another women he didn't recognise. He ignored them for a moment, also approaching the desk,"You need something taken care of? I heard you guys wanted guys like me."

OOC: Could you give us some info on the place? Technology, laws, that kind of stuff.
The two men walked down the street with the confident strides of warriors. They had long black cloaks thrown back behind them and wore long knives openly on their belts, their hand resting on them. On their feet were thick fur boots that came up to their knees. They were fairly young, in their late 20s or early 30s. They arrived to find two bounty hunters already there, so they stood aside and observed their competition.

OOC: The Zombie Alliance is Modern-Tech/Fantasy-Tech in that the magic and a *bit* of technology brings my nation's capabilities to be equal to the average MT nation. And for the record, this is in the region of Antartica, and it takes place in the present day. A-N-T-A-R-T-I-C-A(yes, that's how it's spelled)
IC: Prinn explained, "Well, we captured an Anubicite--a worshiper of Anubis--preaching his heresy on the streets of Alliance City. After Tar'Kanar was attacked, Lord Necromancer himself managed to, er, persuade him to tell us where the Anubicites base of operations is." He pulled a scroll from his pants pocket and unrolled it to reveal a map of the Zombie Heartland. "There," he said, pointing to a spot on the map, "an abandoned science installation by um...the US or UK or USSR or one of those big sciencey nations way up north. Shall we go?" He said we because he had no intention on missing a chance to punish a few heretics personally.
OOC: So basically we're going on an action-packed dungeon-crawling adventure! :D As for the info on my nation, it is kinda' modern-tech. They don't use technology much however, because it's expensive and they have magic for free. Roughly fifteen percent of the population are Zombies(capitalized) and the government is a theocracy run by the ZA Death Cult. Good necromancers have the status and wealth of movie stars. The capital city is Alliance city and the capital building is the Zombie Vatican.(because it's a theocracy) There are several different fiefs in the Alliance, including the dominant one, the Alliance City fief. Each is ruled by a powerful necromancer/necromancress.
The Zombie Alliance's national animal is the rebel, which is also the nation's main course, and it's currency is the black talisman.

OOC: Magic/technology hybrids, hmm? This sounds interesting. What exactly is necessary to kill a Zombie, as you write them? Another question: are the Lord Necromancer and his brother still normally human, or are they undead as well? (The 600 years thing got me wondering.)
IC: Ryet Ha was thoroughly average, in Mahrias underground community.
Wide-shouldered, his nose misshapen by repeated breakings, he looked intimidating. Part of one of the mid-sized smuggler syndicates, he was a professional hitman. He was no genius, but he was tough and occasionally creative.
His partner... he was something else. Yul Hek was one of the finest agents of Mahrian Intelligence. He'd been set loose here with a pair of aims: firstly, he hoped to recruit Ryet for more serious training. Secondly, Mahrias nervous curiosity about magic had planted a desire to get along with the ZA. They were looking for preferential trade treatment in exchange for killing (rekilling?) a governmental enemy.
Ryet Ha grumbled a bit about the cold as they stepped off the boat. He wore a thick parka that had several obvious bulges about the wrist and waist-poorly concealed weapons. Yul considered a lecture on proper concealment, but kept quiet. The two headed for Prinns office, Yul stoic but Ryet shivering and cursing as the wind cut into him.

Jack Parker cleaned his gun. Taking his Glock in hand, his dark hair blowing over his scarred face, a cleft in his chin, he turns to the man behind him, who is tied up, and gaged. "You may think I am harsh and ruthless...and mabye I am. Perhaps you think I don't have a consience... I ask so little of men really. Just don't kill, or harm innocent people." Jack loads his Glock. "You raped the mother, and killed her and her children...wrong." Jack puts the gun the his "victum's" forhead. "I asked so little...THEY asked so little...you wouldn't respect that..." *BANG*... Jack turns around, and faces another man. "Here is the man who hurt your family's money" "I'll donate it" the man replies as he departs.
Jack hadn't collected a red cent...as a matter of fact, he just gave away what money he may have made. His man-servant came up: "Sir, a job." Jack turned around...

OOC: As I write them, zombies can be killed normaly. However, a necromancer can still revive them at any time. The only way to gaurantee that a ZA zombie is permanatley dead is to salt it, remove enough body parts to make it functionless, bloat the body with holy water(or salt water, because there is already the salt thing), or burn it to ash. Lord Necromancer has been resurected several times, but always immediatly after his intentional death so that he hasn't decayed much. He does kind of stink, though. Anubis is a mystery; he dissapeared when he was defeated by Lord Necromancer six hundred years ago. If he has survived this long, then it is reasonable to assume that he has been ressurected.
I think we have enough people to go now. If anyone else joins, then this will get confuseing. So no one else join.
IC: Prinn repeated what he had just said to the newcomers. "Now let us be off," he said, walking towards the door.
