OOC: Joint Designing Aircraft Efforts (ATTN: Aequatio, Space Union, etc.)

Hey... this is totally OOC.

As you probably know, I'm an avid creator of aircraft for use in the NS world, it's one of my passions in this game. I have seen that you two (specifically Aequatio and Space Union) both are quality creators of aircraft.

So... I was wondering if either of you would want to collaborate to create some aircraft.

What kind of aircraft did you have in mind?

I'm currently doing a couple of projects, but I'm interested. Like Aequatio asked, what kind of aircrafts are you thinking about?

Can I get involved? I need new aircraft for my military, as my F-22s and F-35s are aging fairly quickly.

If you need a replacement for them, just check out my SuF-8 Phoenix, I even modify them for your nations own needs. ;)

OOC - Yeah, true, but I sorta want something less expensive. I'm actually looking into the 'austere fighter' concept - a pure, fly-by-wire, fighter, using passive sensors (so as to not put out signals) and short-range IR missiles (so as to not rely on a system that could fail, like a BVRAAM), along with high maneuverability and speed, to take down enemy fighters. It was the basic idea behind the F-16, although that plane got watered down somewhat.

I'm not sure how useful that would be because it sure would have to be a very short-ranged fighter. Exactly how cheap do you need this fighter? I have the SuF-7 Nightmare which is around $80 million. Cheaper than the F-22 but it is far better. I'm willing to give you a souped up version of that if you wish at only a small increase in price to meet your needs. :)

There's my F-2 fighter which was directly inspired by the F-16 fighter as a lightweight, air superiority fighter. It uses short-range IR-guided weapons and cannons to engage enemy aircraft. It may be good to have a look (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=477867).

I'm wanting to work on an air superiority fighter. Something with a lot of firepower and a lot of speed. No stealth, just straitforward brutally, deadly.

We could do that, although with two new fighters, I don't think I'd adopt it for my air force. But I would be willing to work on it, plus development and testing could occur at the Dark Basin Research Facility in the Aequatian Western Desert.

I'm not sure yet; I'll set up a Force Review thread, in which I'll decide what planes, ships, tanks, and so on will be in my military. Kinda like Kahanistan's thread...

I was more thinking, since this is OOC, of helping design a plane in general; I think that my corporations should have more planes...

To be honest, speed does very little for most designs these days. Its more about stealth and maneuverability and advanced avionics/sensor systems.

Alright, when you post it up I'll submit the SuF-7 as a contender if you don't mind. :)

I'm guessing he is very late-PMT.

Probably. I'm late-MT/early-PMT myself; although we're in 2017, our native tech is a bit behind (except for our ships, and to a lesser extent our tanks).

Well... I'd like to try something with a heck of a lot of maneuverabnility, and a heck of a lot of firepower, and a heck of a lot of electronics.

Personally I'm in mid-late MT.

We could do something along the lines of a fighter with fifth-generation capabilites, it would be cost-effective and could remain in service for quite a while.

Damn, another fighter (sorry I've made like 10 fighters non-stop so I'm kind of sick of it ;) ). But still I'm willing to help out with stats and equipment, though, I already have fighters in my service so I won't need this.
