The Holy Empire of Wittenburgia is a small, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its burgeoning german lion population. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 7 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
The enormous government juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 35%, but much higher for the wealthy. A small private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.
Voting is voluntary. Crime is moderate. Wittenburgia's national animal is the german lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the wittenburg dollar.
My nation has an Imperial Family but I am fixing it up right now.
The national anthem is Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress Is Our God. The state church is Lutheranism although Calvinism and other groups can be found.
Wittenburgia is a constitutional monarchy. The majority political party is the Traditionalist Party of Wittenburgia.
