the election is for your council's representitive in The People's Congress. Local councils are based on open participation (open to all) and are based on direct democracy. These councils control the Economy of The People's Republic and then through representation, they control the Republic.
These councils, and indeed the whole Republic are based on "Socialism from below" :
socialism from below represents the self-administration and self-rule of the working class, such as workers' control over production and workers' control of the state

The Jovian Empire is strongly pro-capitalist, and has voted accordingly.

As a direct worker ownership society we view these choices as abhorrent. In the interest of freedom and true direct democracy we ask that you look at other economic models. All of these lead to a dark future. Our economy is a strong mixed economy based on worker capitalism, public private consortiums, syndicates, cooperatives, and direct ownership. We see all these choices as a step backwards.

Regardless of what the international community thinks, the People of Flor-A-Duh have been striving for the Communist Utopia described by Karl Marx, and election after election, they vote accordingly. In fact, time after time The People are able to see right through Capitalist/Fascist attempts to re sieze power from the people.

From the educational pamphlet by The Proletariat Party: Council Communism? What's That ? !
Council communism is a Radical Left movement originating in Germany and the Netherlands in the 1920s. Its primary organisation was the Communist Workers Party of Germany (KAPD). Council communism continues today as a theoretical and activist position within Marxism, within Libertarian Socialism, and within Anarchism. The central argument of Council Communism, in contrast to those of Social democracy and Leninist communism, is that workers' councils arising in the factories and municipalities are the natural form of working class organisation and state power. This view is opposed to the Reformist and Bolshevik stress on vanguard parties, parliaments or governments.

The core principle of council communism is that the State and the economy should be managed by workers' councils composed of delegates elected at workplaces and recallable at any moment. As such, council communists oppose state-run "bureaucratic socialism". They also oppose the idea of a "revolutionary party", since council communists believe that a revolution led by a party will necessarily produce a party dictatorship. Council communists support a workers' democracy, which they want to produce through a federation of workers' councils.

Council Communists support workers' revolutions, but oppose one-party dictatorships. This has much in common with libertarian communism and most strains of anarchism, although the latter usually uphold individual liberty as paramount over all else. Council Communists also believe in diminishing the role of the party to one of agitation and propaganda, reject all participation in elections or parliament, and argue that workers should leave the reactionary trade unions and form one big revolutionary union.

Flor-A-Duh was one of the first nations to have a [I]real[I] worker's Revolution. Not a Reformist lap dog revolution, or a totalitarian Stalinst Revolution. But a People's Revolution.

It's is also notable to mention that The Proletariat Party is a broad coa;ition of Libertarian Marxists, Anarchists, Anarcho-Communists, and many other Anti Leninist Communist/Anarchist orginizations.

The PP holds the vast majority in the People's Congress, and there is only one other Party in the congress, and that's the Peasant Farmer's Party. But they are only a minimal prescence in the halls of The Congress.

The People of Flor-A-Duh long ago smashed Capitalism and the apparatuses of exploitation. In the next post, I will delve into why Capitalism sucks so much.
