The Beginning of the End (FT Intro)

Frozopia
14-04-2006, 18:10
The battle had been raging for the last 16 months and at last the Frozopian line was wavering. It seemed the Kralox had no urge to cease their constant attacks, and each monster that fell to the wrath of a Frozopian Crusader Tank, another took its place fighting with no less fury nor zealotry, throwing themselves at the trenches and unto the mix of conscripts and veterans who fought within.

The Frozopians until now had held courageously, but if General Crawford did not order the retreat any time soon the Frozopians would be driven into a rout. The Battle Tanks were thinning in number, the Arrow bombers were far to the west and the artillery fire had seized fire days ago, much to the disgust of the infantry. And who could blame them? The artillery had a 300 mile head start if the line broke, more than enough time to escape. What the infantry did not know was the Kralox had pierced the right flank several 100 miles to the East, tearing northwards until they fell upon the Frozopian artillery, ripping them to shreds. Luckily Colonel Anderson had led a counter attack with a small division of Battle tanks, driving back the monsters, but the damage was done. This stretch of the front would go without artillery support, and soon it would break.

But perhaps the worst misfortune this stretch of the front had suffered, was that General Crawford was insane.

“How is he?” Colonel Anderson asked the private, who didn’t bother to salute. Much respect and been lost for any of the Frozopian command, lost in the trenches where more than a few mistakes had been made. Mistakes that cost thousands of lives.
Thousands of Thousands. Even if we defeat the Kralox, who is to say we will survive anyways!? There are barely 1 billion humans now. This war has crippled us.

“He…..is gone sir.”

Conor gaped at the private.

“What do you mean gone!?”

“His mind has left us sir.”

Anderson swore. He had lived by the grim hope that one day the General would recover. One day he would step up and lead like he once did. No more.

“Let me see him.”

The General was drooling. Sitting there and drooling. With blank eyes he stared at the wall. The next thing Anderson notice about the General was that he had lost weight, literally shedding pounds. It had been a couple of days since he last ate, and gone was the physically strong general who used to drink too much when the battle was won. Or lost, as often the case would be.

Turning away in disgust, Anderson approached the private who had stood guard over the command bunker.

“We have waited long enough. I am taking command of the front. Send information to all soldiers: It is time to retreat. The 6th and 8th Divisions will hold a rearguard, backed up our last Crusader armoured division. The rest of our force will retreat 150 miles north. Copy these orders to the high command”

“Yes sir.”

The Private pulled out his mini-computer, offering it to the new General. Anderson pushed this thumb onto the little screen and spoke his name and previous rank.

Picking up the computer, the Private typed in the orders.

It was time to retreat.

The Frozopian High Command Building, the next day

The computer storage space was the size of a penny, but within it were the histories of the planet of Frozopia from the beginnings of life to this moment in time. On the far side of the room as the Monitor, and it took up the whole wall. It was this which the Emperor listened to, as a computerised voice spoke to the Emperor.

“And thus the Empire discovered faster than light travel. But this monumental occasion would soon be overshadowed by the war. The Krenon, once diligent slaves of the Empire….”

The creature appeared on screen. 10 ft tall with thick fur and huge muscles and sharp claws. On its back it carried what looked like mining equipment. It vaguely resembled a bear.

“…….turned on its masters. We still do not know what happened or why it happened. But it did, and the surprised Mining overseers were slaughtered without mercy or warning. The Krenon had never harmed humans before, and the miners were taken by complete surprise. Even when the surprise passed they lacked the resources to turn back the Krenon, and soon 1000’s of miles of mining lands to the south were seized.”

A map appeared on screen, showing the Frozopian continent Regnex. To the north of it the continent turned bright black, showing the initial conquests of the Krenon.

“With news of the butcher, the Emperor of the time, one Emperor Clauro, immediately gathered the armies of Frozopia so as to take revenge. At the same time planetary bombardment began, as Frozopian space stations pummelled the mining facilities, backed by the Frozopian Airforce. Clauro was confident of victory, and appointed the General Damien to lead the attack. 100,000 Frozopians would march, backed by 1000’s of Battle tanks. But they would all be destroyed.”

The screen showed moving army, confident young men waving at the screen as they stepped onboard the transport aircrafts.

“For the Krenon were far smarter than we anticipated. They had use the genetic engineering equipment left by the miners to reproduce themselves, multiplying their numbers 10 fold. But worse, they had changed their physical body:”

On screen stood a pitch black 25 ft tall beast, its eyes blood red with rage. It was hugely muscular, and equipped with huge claws and fangs. On its back was what resembled mining equipment, but it was clearly manufactured to make some sort of weaponry.

“They were faster, stronger and smarter than ever before. On their back they carried basic weaponry, old mining equipment that had been turned into weapons. It seemed during the bombardment they fled to the depths of the mines, the earth acting as a natural barrier. And as our brave army landed and approached the remains of the facilities, they were ambushed by raging monsters. Monsters who called themselves the Kralox. Their claws pierced any combat armour, their hides were Pulse gun resistant, their weaponry burnt armour and flesh. They even manufactured some Anti-Aircraft weaponry, blowing our fighters out of the sky. General Damien’s army was destroyed, and the monsters took no mercy, killing Damien himself.”

“And thus the war began, a war that rages 862 years later. And with each battle the enemy took more and more land, copying our technology, changing their DNA so as to strengthen themselves, spreading across the earth till 1 billion humans had fallen to their wrath. Within time the Frozopians could not even power their space crafts, as the mining territories fell to the Kralox and thus the Frozopian fuel ”

“Analysis has predicted the humans will last 4 more years before the last defences crumble and humanity is exterminated on Frozopia. The beasts number 350 million: Day by day they get closer to outnumbering the human race.”

“Enough!” The Emperor spoke. “We will not die out!”

The monitor turned black.

Striding from the room, the Emperor paced down several corridors of the building before finding his destination. It was time for the council.
The council room was full of the war generals: Not one man nor woman did not bear a scar. The room fell into silence as the Emperor entered.

“As you well know, yesterday General Anderson ordered a retreat along section A316. It was a good decision, a decision that should have been made earlier by the now retired General Crawford. But the truth is that the Kralox are tightening their grip upon us: within time there will be no more humans on Frozopia, unless we act quickly.”

The Emperor looked upwards, pointing at the top ceiling that now resembled a snapshot of space.

“Out there lies other humans. People who can help us. People more advanced than us. We cannot win this war alone. It is true we have lost almost all of our space capacity. We cannot ship people into space and ask for help. But we can send a signal. I have been planning this for 2 years now. Now we have the power and the technology to do it. I send the message today. This is our last hope. May God help us.”

The old Religious phrase made many frown, but the Generals nodded. It was time.

Transmission
This is a desperate request for help. We are people from the planet of Frozopia, and within time we will die out. The monsters, who call themselves the Kralox seek to exterminate us. They are savage beasts, and we cannot hold for long. The last stand is being made, and if we are not aided by others, than Frozopia must fall.

Battle Barges, Strike Cruisers upon Strike Cruisers, and Transports flooded the space above the planet. Many of the transports flew in low to the planets surface and dropped giant war machines called Titans and tanks upon artillery upon troop transports. And drop pods rained from the sky landing creating small craters where they touched down. Out of these pods stepped warriors twice the size of a human clad in Power Armor. They stpped out massivley and flooded the battlefield engaging enemies that got too close. These were the Space Marines.

High Inquisitor Lord Gull stepped out of one drop pod clad in Jet Black Death Skull Power Armor. He was an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos and he was sent to this battlefield to help fellow humans. He stepped up to the General and said, "I am Inquisitor Lord Gull and you will address me as Inquisitor. We will help turn the tide of this battle we have 2 million soldiers here to fight most of them are Space Marines. These foul beasts should be slain in no time. Co-ordinate your forces with the Space Marines and you will have survival. Meanwhile I, my Deathwatch Teams, and my Retinue will investigate the activities and nature of these beings. I will need a few soldiers or at least a pilot of yours to help us navigate the terrain. Always use the knowledge at hand."

This is a-...est for help. We are people from the planet...pia... will die out. The monsters,... the Kralox ...exterminate us. ...beasts...cannot hold for long...and if we are not...must fall.
The messaged received by the Overtaker was far from complete, but it did give the crew of the science ship a good idea of what was going on.
"Captain, orders?"
The ships captain, a military man who had chosen self imposed exile over death when the GLACORP company finnaly stabilized Dontgonearthere after fifty years of civil war, was sitting at his station, tapping his fingers on an idle control panel.
"Re-transmit to Earth, there must be a coms satilite around here somewhere...The President will handle this, we certainly cant."
"We could help, though, sir. There's at least a hundred marines on this ship."
"No, retransmit and then wait. Maybe we will get to join the fight, maybe not. It depends on what the President says."

OOC: Hello there, nice intro.

IC:

In deep space, an Aegean patrol station picks up a distress signal from some uncharted planet.

"This is a desperate req--uezt for help. We are people from the planet of Frozopia, and within time we will die out. The monsters, who ca... [Static burst] ...xterminate us. They are savage beasts, and we cannot hold for long. The last stan... [Static burst] ...ided by others, than Frozopia must fall."

The patrol station automatically relays the message to the nearest Capital ship, The Relentless . The Relentless is one of the slightly older Ermac Cruisers, which have serviced the empire for more than two centuries. This particular ship, as was common among the aged and mighty Ermac class, had been modified over the years, making it a unique ship. The ship sits quietly, ingesting the gas of nearby nebula ofr material conversion. On the main control deck, Captain Michaels receives the transmition.

"Navigation, plot our course to the source of the signal, Comms, file a patrol deviation. Gentlemen, lets get out of here"

The ship turns to face a new heading, and the powerful Nexus cannons begin tearing a hole in spacetime. Within ten seconds, the ship has opened the hole, and it's massive engines ignite, pushing the kilometer and a half long battlecruiser through the opening. Captain Michaels barks orders to his Garrison officers as they travel through the timelessness of deadspace.

"YYtrson, make sure the Elcerophants are ready for ground and aireal action, get Johnson up and scramble the Fighter squads, Dislos and Slips. Kun'Ger, make sure the blood warriors are armed and ready to get messy, I want the Hounds out there this time."

He looks at his female tech officer, who is in charge of his walker divisions.

"we're going to want to get some Yygies down there, do you think your crew is up to it?"

She nod to him

"They may be a little greenhorn, but I think they've had enough practice drops to get to land, after that its game over anyway."

The Frozopians were surprised by the sudden arrival, and many expected them to be Frozopian reinforcements. When they recognised the alien machinery however, they recognised them for what they were: New allies. For the first time in a very long time the Frozopians were cheering, and there was new vigour to the proceedings, as the Frozopians launched a counter strike, driving back the Kralox from the position to which the Frozopians had retreated to. The few Frozopian Crusader Tanks progressed across the snow, supported by the allied armour units.

General Anderson gaped at the newcomers, as they swooped from the sky to support the Frozopians. In the distance he could see a couple of privates talking to someone who looked like a superior of the space marines. The Private was pointing in General Anderson's direction, so General Anderson approached the newcomer. The private immediatly saluted to the General, and began to excitedly repeat what the Inquisitor said.

"They've come to help us sir! We can win this war!"

"I know private. I know."

Approaching the Inquisitor, he stared at the man who was nearly twice his size.

"You have come to help us, and for that I am grateful. I will send orders to the command with news of your arrival and your requests. For now you can take a company of my division."

Reaching for his computer, Anderson tapped in the orders and was joined a minute later by the 60 men.

"They know this stretch of the front: Its nothing but frozen trenches all along here. And they are veterans: They know about as much about the Kralox as the greatest scientist. They are commanded by Captain Ryan."
Captain Ryan Saluted.

Meanwhile on the battlefield the Kralox were recognising the danger of the new foe: They were retreating. But they would be back.

The Inquisitor looked at the young Captain and said, "Choose ten of your best men to come with us we shall be taking my Shadow Chaser with a squadron of Thunderhawks. Put the rest of your men to the task of helping General Ilas of the Blood Ravens Space Marine Legion. You know the terrain well and we will be doing recon and scans from what has been told of this species they sound similar to the Tyranid." He turned and stepped aboard the Shadow Chaser and gestured for the Captain to sit at the co-pilot's station. Inside his assassins waited in the spacious rear hold. Two Culexus, four Eversor in cryotubes, two Vindicare, one Vanus, three Venenum, and six Death Cultists. Also a Squad of six Deathwatch Marines rested in harnesses waiting for their chance in battle. The Inquisitor waited till the Captain and his men boarded and took flight at high speed. Ironically everyone inside would feel extremely uncomfortable and mild pain would surge through their bodies from their proximity to the Culexus who most would not see till it was too late.

The six ships flew high over the terrain with scanners running overtime. He looked out the viewport and turned to the Captain saying, "Direct me to a dense area of this Kralox alien." At his side his C'Tan Phase Sword clanked against his armor. His gun a combi-bolter hung out at his side ready for battle. In the back a female Venenum Assassin flirted with one of the soldiers while twirling a Toxoid Blade in her left hand.

Ebranor's battle fleet was readied and made the jump to Frozopian space.

A blue and pruple hole erupts from a sudden jolt of electricity in space. The Nexus portal opens as The Relentless Launches forth from the vortex. The hole closes behind the mighty ship as they assume a medium altitude orbit above the planet.

The ship, now visible from the surface, gleams in the reflected light of the blue planet below. The massive space cruiser begins to release Slip Fighters, which begin to coars from it like blood from an artery. Several Yygdrasil walkers, with their drop-jets aflame begin a rapid reentry into the atmosphere, the friction of the atmosphere almost inefectual against their nachtium armor.

The walkers slam to the ground, and beign to stand erect, their incredible 175 meters tall. They begin walking forward, the ground shaking with each of their tumultious steps.

Overhead, there is the tumultious scream of dozens of Slip fighters as they roar past at their increadible speeds.

Battleship“Defiant” Bridge. There are 4 men playing cards.
- Any good news from the reactor pit?
- Nope, we are still sitting ducks. It can’t be fixed or refueled without a docking bay.
- Huh, whatever, pass me another beer.
- You know that planet over there. As far as I remember it was inhabited.
- Don’t be ridiculous. They would have noticed us already.
- No seriously man, it had a pretty large human population. We passed by it like 60 years ago. It was called Frezopia uuh Frizopa uuh something like that.
- Even if there was, there are none left. But we might find something useful down there.
Im gonna warn some of the boys. We will go check it out.
A single dropship launched itself from the battleship’s hangar. It carried a dozen men and one twin barreled Vindicator tank beneath it. Just in case.
Atmosphere entry wasn’t easy but hardly a challenge for the pilot.
The frozen wasteland they landed on however wasn’t very welcoming.
- Sarge do we have to do this? My balls are gonna freeze out there!
- Get your ass moving.
From the dozen soldiers 8 were heavy infantrymen all wrapped in powered armor but the other 4 had nothing but boron-carbide breastplates.
- Look over there! On that hill! Are my eyes playing tricks or isn’t that a building?
- No kidding! Hurry up people. Let’s get to shelter.
The old and battered Frozopian outpost they entered was not quite what they expected.
- Anybody home?
- This place looks as if it was abandoned years ago. Hey, Fuhrer, check the other floors out! We will get the diner ready.
- Sure thing sarge!
One of the armored men started climbing on the stairs. He was moving from room to room.
- Huuuh, communications… armory…canteen! Bull’s-eye! Let’s hope they forgot some good stuff inside.
He opened the door to face the barrel of a frozopian rifle. The man holding it was shivering and in a ragged uniform.
- Identify yourself or I’ll shoot!
- Will you put this thing away?
- I said something.
- Oh why do I even bother…
He grabbed the gun with his fist, then squeezed and turned it into an interesting modernistic sculpture.
- Whether you like it or not, you are coming with me.
He picked the stunned frozopian soldier for the neck with only two fingers.
- Yo sarge! I found a survivor.
The man was still shaking from the cold. But when he saw the fire they’d set up he cried:
- Put it out! Put it out! The Krolox will see it!
- The what?
An unhuman roar echoed in the night.
- What the f*ck was that?
- Circle formation! Light infantry in the middle! Back to the dropship!
It was too late. The explosion was bright enough to be seen from miles away.
- Crap! That was our ride out of here!
- We must get back inside! We are too exposed out here.
But about a hundred meters away from the outpost the Krolox finally made his move. It was a single one and it jumped right in the center of the squad. The 4 light infantrymen were fast enough to dodge with the prisoner. But It fell right on top of one of the armored ones. With one blow the Krolox sent a soldier flying in the air. But the suit saved him from the 10 meters fall and the huge claws.
- Surround it!
One with a bright red suit dropped his gun and drew a huge two-handed sword from his back.
- Come to papa Vasillii, you overgrown teddy bear!
The Krolox roared and jumped at him but in mid air its head exploded.
Vasilli turned around. A tall hooded figure lowered a human-sized sniper rifle.
- Hey, it was my kill already!
- Your kill, that thing would have turned you into shreds!
- Shut the f*ck up! – The sergeant turned at the captured frozopian soldier who was still staring in horror at the remains of the Krolox.
- What is that thing?

"Diplomatic situations!?" The two men who were sitting over the reciever listened to the response, and then burst into laughter.
"Can we send a response?"
"No. Not enough power."

The Front
General Anderson glanced up and saw more ships entering the atmosphere. It seemed that the Frozopians had underestimated how many people would respond to the signal. The universe was alot more populated than they all thought. Glancing at the retreating Kralox, Anderson handed forwards down the line. The Frozopians were to advance.

Spacemarine aircraft
The Frozopians early joy over the assistance had turned into wariness. These newcomers were arrogant and powerful. Their only relief was that they were here to help the Frozopians. Captain Ryan spoke to pilot:
"The denses enemy position, or at least as far as we know, is the mine lands. It is there they genetically enginneer their creatures, it is here where the biggest threat to humans in Frozopia is. But they have several Anti-aircraft measures, ranging from old Frozopian technology and their own customised version. I suggest you attack the centre of the retreating Kralox instead."

We will leave the attack on the retreating forces to orbital bombardment which should commence in moments. Your epople do not have our respect............yet but you have the love of the Emperor and will have the chance to earn our respect in the fires of battle. Tell your men to be wary but to not think us arrogant we have seen many soldiers like your own fall to darker ways so we test those we ally with. as for their anti-aircraft weaponry they will not be able to detect use till we chose to reveal ourselves." With that the ships sped at incredible speed engaging their cloaking fields and dropping to a low altitude. Slowly the vessels stopped in midair and began scanning the aliens with meticulous detail. The Inquisitor smiled and turned around walking into the rear hold. He smiled at his Culexus Assassins even as the pain went through his body. He then turned to the Frozopian troops said, "You are now our battle-brothers and we expect you to act as such. If you should try to retreat without the order given I will slay you myself." He gripped his sword and continued, "There are bolt pistols, frag grenades, plasma grenades, and white phosphorus grenades in the rear armory grab what you need and ready yourselves. We may need to do combat soon. Now is your chance to prove your people's worth as allies and men." The Inquisitor looked back at the scanner as it gathered data on the enemy alien's weakness.

As they barricaded the small outpost, the frozopian finally returned to his senses. Someone passed him a blanket and some hot soup. Soon the sergeant leading the small platoon was in front of him.
- Now…first tell me who you are?
- Corporal Aleksey Haggard of the 9th guards division.
- And what was that beast?
- A Krolox, but it couldn’t have been alone. More will come. They know we are here.
- Then we will be ready for them.
The sergeant stood up and walked to the barricade.
- Status?
- All nice and quiet. But I can’t contact the “Defiant” for extraction. The snowstorm is jamming my signal.
- Then try again.
- Who are you people?
From behind him the one they called the Fuhrer grinned:
- We are just some tourists who went sightseeing.

"This is Battle Group Ebranor of the Quessir. We have come to aid you and your planet. Some of our ground forces are coming down now."

The ships went towards what they thought was the Frozopian base, the largest source of life their sensors picked up. They landed there and Ebranor stepped out, turning to the nearest person he saw and bowing.

"Hello. I am Ebranor Aershaar, Warrior Prince of Tel-Quessir. I have come to aid you and your people. Could you direct me to your military commanders?"

The Starenell crafts had landed in Lotres city, the new capital of Frozopia. Having recieved the peace transmission, the crafts were immediatly given permission to land.

The Emperor, at the same time, was reading the recent reports. Alien crafts were flying in, offering assistance. It seemed the Kralox had been driven back with this assistance.

Thank god. Thank god!

"Your highness it seems another alien has landed in the city." The Emperor's mini-computer beeped.

"Will be there immediatly Harry."

The transport was quick and within 5 minutes The Emperor found himself at the air landing port south of the city. With him were his 20 guard, each in their ceremonial armour and weapons.

As the craft landed vertically in the port, The Emperor stepped out, with his guards fanning out around him.

"I am The Emperor of Frozopia. I believe you have come to assist us?"

"We do not think you as arrogant." Lied the captain. "And I am sure that this war will unite our nations together forever. The Kralox will learn to fear us, and together we will fight to destroy them."

Immediatly the Frozopians took the opportunity to examine the new weapons, which were not different from the Frozopians. "We shall use our own weapons if that is acceptable? "We know recently that they have been attempting to modify their kind with wings, but the rare occasions of sighting these things normally involve them falling out of the sky. We have also discovered corpses of what can only be described as Giants: 60 ft tall Kralox! But these have been failures, thank gods. If they had mastered these creatures, we would not last a week."

"Overall we think there are 350 million Kralox. But we have no idea what types lie in the heart of the lands of the Kralox: Surely Kralox of greater intelligence than the Black Tigers, for they have mastered Genetic engineering and they manufacture much weaponry. The computer beeped as it finished it's scan of the Kralox army. At this the iquisitor opened a side bay and the two Culexus Assassins dropped out of the shuttle and walked amidst the alien beasts. They looked around sensing things and picking their targets looking for a hive mind or a command beast. The Inquisitor knew they would not be seen till they needed to be. He said, "We will deploy in moments after the Assassins are dropped." He then looked at the Navigator Death Cultist and said, "No one look at his third eye unless you wish to die a horrible fate and have your head explode." He drew his sword and hefted his weapon waiting for the opportune moment to strike.

- Seriously people who the hell you are?
- Just feel happy we saved your life.
From the top of the building the sound of a 20mm gauss cannon interrupted them.
- Incoming!
The platoon dispersed along the perimeter although the light infantry stayed behind their heavier counterparts. Tall back shadows started emerging from the night.
- Actung! FOUER FREI!
The first wave was quickly turned into Swiss cheese but more were coming.
- Fire in the hole!
The grenade bought them a few seconds to reload. From the top of the building the sniper was beheading single Kroloxes who had strayed from the main group and were trying to outflank the position.
- Why don’t you want to die damn it!
- Back in the outpost. Retreat with fire!

Science Vessel Maranthis, Second Level of Truespace

"Well, here we are. The mythological Second Level of Truespace.", a man spoke, as another listened, whilst taking a pull from his drink. The other man swallowed a mouthful, and then replied. "Indeed. Right here, right now, we possess the capability to defend against that metal monster. Hell, we can see so much from here! It's like our sensors have been heightened tenfold!"

Suddenly, a transmission burst into their ship. It was human, and it contained words that differentiated it from the millions of advertisements streaming across the universe.

This ....desperate.... help. We are .... planet of Frozopia, .... call themselves the Kralox seek to exterminate us ...... cannot hold for long.... The last stand ... made .. Frozopia must fall.

It was patchy, as were most wide-beam transmissions in Truespace, however, in the normal levels of Truespace, they wouldn't have heard anything. In the second level, they could make most of it out. The first man, who was the captain, smiled. He had command of two gunships, attached to his ship, however, the research vessel itself was in possession of several labs. No doubt they could help this 'Frozopia', if only a bit.

Tightbeam Transmission to Frozopia - The New Realm vessel Maranthis is prepared to aid you. Although we are not in possession of heavy weaponry of other kinds than thermonuclear warheads, we have the ability to engineer viruses, and the like. We'll be on your front lines presently

The ship dropped out of Truespace, blue-green mist resolving into the shape of a ship. It was prepared. The ship sped towards the planet, and began to enter the atmosphere, landing near the front lines.

The ship landed on the ground, a few hundred metres back from the trench. A single mechanical unit stepped out, it was built for exploration, however, two minor thermonuclear warheads, if they could be called such, were prepped for fire.

It appeared that they couldn't do altogether that much right now, but they prepped some missiles, and a few high-yield torpedoes for launch, in case the enemy returned.

The captain walked out, with a vague smile on his face. He'd been a military captain in the League, fighting aliens, invaders, and had been quite good at it. Of course, his loyalty had earnt him a minor position in the regime change, simply managing a ship of scientists. No doubt command'd be angry at him, for debilitating research, and yet.. He couldn't let humanity, on any world, anywhere, fail, if he could help it.

He saluted to the watching marines, and spoke out, in the Frozopian tongue, something not markedly different from that of the Realm, and said "Captain Valan, of the New Realm. Can't let humanity fall away, eh? We're only a science vessel, but we've got some damn fine nuclear warheads, and about fifty men, as well as a few gunships. Here's hoping they help out you boys, eh?"

He smiled, and looked at the trenches.. His smile dropped somewhat, and he winced. "Whew.. Not as good as it could be, is it? Well, at the very least, we can provide some covering fire for you boys".

The Emperor invited the men of Starenell to follow them to his quarters, and when they had sat down he began to tell them.

"It is good to see you Warrior Prince Ebranor Aershaar. It is nice to know Frozopia will not fight alone."

"For 862 years Frozopia has been fighting off the Kralox, ruthless monsters who's only aim is to destroy human life on our planet. Once they were our slaves, but that day is gone. And with each year that passed more humans died, more land was lost and more strong the enemy got."

"Since the start of the war, the human population of Frozopia has fallen from 2 billion to 1, and we now defend the last continent held by humans: Gravita. So far the Kralox have attacked from where the Frozen sea joins Gravita and the continent of Agos. They have now driven us back 100's of miles inland, forcing us to dig a trenched front 2000 miles across. We have finally slowed down their attack, but it is too late: We cannot hold much longer."

"Do not show mercy to the Kralox: They have no idea of compassion or love. They take no prisoners. They are killers, pure and simple."

The Space Marine craft
"No, we Frozopians know little about this foe except how to kill them. Remember that most of their body acts as a natural armour and they can move fast as lightning: Never let your guard down." Spoke the Captain.

The Transmission Building
"Another transmission, sir." Spoke the technician.
"Send the information to the Emperor." Replied the oversear.
"Have we got enough power to respond?"
"No the equipment is still malfunctioning sir."
"Damnit."

The Front
The Frozopians were advancing now, the armoured transports in both the air and ground advancing forwards. The men were jubiliant but wary: It would not be the first time that such situations turned into an ambush. But little did they need to worry: The Kralox were retreating to the very tip of the continent: But here they would turn on humans, space marines and all: And vengeance would be theres.

General Anderson was sitting in a command bunker: His job for now was to sort out all the new comers, who were now joined by Captain Valan. Each member of the alien nations was told to step forward and tell the General what they have to offer: This intern would tell General Anderson where to send them. All of the nations looked like they could shift the balance, and for that they recieved Frozopian gratitude.

Within the comand bunker, Jenny waits, looking at the other gathered newcomers. Some of theraces look vaguely familiar, and some do not, but most are relativley humanoid. She is glad to be out of the arctic air and inside a heated building

"General, I am Corpral Harrison, 1st Technician of the Aegean warship, The Relentless. The Relentless /i] is and Ermac class battlecruiser. Is measures about a kilo and a half long, and mounts very sohpisticated weaponry and shileding equipment. If nescessary, we can call in an orbital bombardment, but chances are that such a bombardment would have lasting climactic changes as well as obvious geographical ones."

She motions him to a window, and points to one of the insanely big walkers patroling across the front. She gets kind of a misty eyed expression as she begins describing the walkers.

"That sir, is a Yygdrasil walker. They stand over 170 meters tall, and are coated in Nachtium armor, one of Aegeus' greatesst national assets. They are equipped with a rail minigun, it fires 120 caliber shells at 81,000 rpm. The other arms is a heavily moified cruiser-grade mining-laser, which is backed up by several missle launchers. Those bumps on the torso are more missle pods, and it has two pup-up vulcan turrets on it's shoulders."

"These are the primary ground offensive units that we brought along, however, we also have a half-wing of slip-fighters on The Relentless if we need air support. "

she looks back at him, sort of embarassed. she grins sheepishly.

"I'm sorry if I ramble on,I get a little carried away with technology, we are at your service Sir."

Ebranor steps forward "We are few in number, but are powerful and will be useful in assaulting key enemy positions. We would also like to send a team to the Kralox main base to kill their leaders. We can provide some evacuation capability, anyone who wants to get off planet can stay on our ships for a while." He bows, and steps back.

OOC: The team is going no matter what, it just may not be with IC approval. If Frozopia OOCly does not want it to happen then I will call it off. If the allied forces approve it ICly then we could send a combined team.

General Anderson sat listening to the newcomers, each word translated through his ear pierce. Once the representative of Starenell had finished, General Anderson stood, turning to Jenny first:

"Tell me. What kind of damage would your bombardment cause? The Kralox are numerous. Beyond numerous. And each day they create more and more, each one stronger than the last. Even if we had the resources, which we probably dont despite all your assistance, it would take years to exterminate them, without bombing them to hell. Worse they could eventually create another form of Kralox, maybe even one that could defeat that huge Yygdrasil walker."

Anderson turned to Ebranor.
"If bombardment is impossible, then striking at key facilities will be our first aim. We know not of their leaders: Hence destroying them maybe impossible for now. But we do know where they produce Kralox, and where they manufacture weapons. If we have to attack these positions, then all allies to Frozopia will be welcome. If we destroyed these positions, then perhaps the Kralox could be exterminated sooner. And who knows, we may find the Kralox leadership there."

"For now we are pushing forward: Within days, we should have secured this continent, thanks to the new allies of Frozopia. But taking back the planet? That could take an eternity."
Starenell
15-04-2006, 19:40
"Yes that does sound good, to eliminate the Kralox. I propose a joint team to go there, after the issue of orbital bombardment is decided." Ebranor sighed.

"However, you yourself make a great arguement for peace. If we were to get these Kraloxes to make peace, then those centuries of war in the future would not happen."

OOC: Do Frozopians speak a different language? Because Ebranor is speaking Standard.

General Ilas watched as the Legions lost minor numbers to the Kralox and steadily advanced on them till they were becoming cornered and it was now that he knew they must pull back. He called the order to all allied forces and announced they were going to glass the area. He called to the fleet when the forces had pulled back enough, "Glass the Kralox position! NOW!" At once a large orbital bombardment began which could only end in the whole area being turned to glass. The General smiled as he saw the flashes of light that would help save these humans.

Meanwhile the Inquisitor smiled as they neared an area where many of the Kralox were being created and knew this would be where they would start they're assault. He looked to his three Venenum Assassins and nodded. They neared the door and threw thirty Virus Grenades at the massed aliens below them. The Virus in these grenades was designed to kill most all living organisms short of humans and abhumans. And as they did this elsewhere he let go of control of the Culexus Assassins and their Animus Speculum opened to flood the battlefield in front of them with negative psychic energy killing and disorienting many near them. The Inquisitor turned and pressed a button as the cryotubes defrosted and dropped the Eversor Assassins on the battlefield away from where they were getting ready to deploy. As well each Eversor Assassin capable of destroying armies by themselves had to be deployed far enough away from each other so they wouldn't attack one another. He smiled saying, "Let my Assassins do their work we will deploy here where we hover and the Assassins will clear out the area surrounding us. We have 130 of the best Space Marines available so we will be a powerful force down there. Remember to put on the masks I provided. And don't worry about their hides our weapons should have little trouble piercing them."

Corperal Harisson looks at the General blandly. pulling out a little datapad with a diagram of the ship on it. She presses a small button and a three dimensional hologram apears, displaying the ermac in a drafting-style cross section.

"Although I doubt that these creatures will ever create something that can kill a yygdrasil, stranger things have happened. On to the bombardment, the Ermac class Battlecruiser is produced with four pulverisor cannons, located in line with the after-middle engines. These are essentially over-large railguns that shoot excedingly powerful 300cm projectiles into a targeted area of a planet. The real destruction comes, not from the impact, but from the fact that these shells are designed to penetrate into a planet's crust, and deliver most of their force their. This causes stage-one siesmic rifts, which can be used together to create new continental plates."

She stops to take a deep breath

" The Relentless has been modified to fire a second type of shell, a large rail-slug with a contained plasma core, siphoned off from one of the ships ammo factories. These shells impact and explode, sending shrapnel everywhere, and rocketing balls of molten plasma and debris everywhere. The main disadvantage to this ammunition is that it commonly melts all of the minerals in the target area's soil, essentially turning it into an armored plate. It also has a tendancy to spray massive ammounts of dirt into the atmosphere after it has been fired."

"The first type of ammo is extremly useful in destroying instilations and repeated shots along a vector hae been known to cause pyroclastic eruptions. The second type of ammo is very effective for destroying everything in an area, and are very effective when supported by bombing strikes. Nachtium has an incredible heat dispersion rate, so Yygdrasils should be able to enter the strike zone almost imediately after impact, wheras most conventional devices would be melted by the latent heat."

" I personally suggest option two, simply because it wont cause as much lasting damage as the first type of ammo"

OOC: Dratheria, the centre of the Kralox base, where they manufacture all their weapons and genetically modify all their monsters, covers 100's of miles of land and millions of Kralox. Erm you might wanna call of that attack, with a mere 130 space marines your probably going to lose and your Inquisitor will fall with it.

As for language, well we've been kinda isolated for about a 1000 years, so we probably dont speak Standard.

IC:
The Space Marine orbital bombardment did little. The few Kralox remaining on the continent were caught in the blast, but the rest watched from the safety of the continent of Agos. They were awed by what they saw: Some huge blast from space, turning the area into (glass!?).

The beasts exchanged glances. For the first time, they were losing. For the first time they were afraid. One of them grunted, and the group followed. News needed to be brought home. The Kralox were to be prepared.

The Bunker
General Anderson looked up.

"What the hell!?"

Some massive beam was shooting from the sky, far to the south.

"Those damn Space Marines! They didnt even ask permission to use orbital weapons!" General Anderson sighed and sat down again

"Peace is impossible. They do not understand peace. They see no reason for peace. They will try and try, even if it means extermination of their own kind. Do you think we have not tried? Most of them are barely sentient. War is all they know."

"Is there no way of modifying the power on your orbital weapons? Could you not just use the first type on a lower power setting? Without causing major fractures in the earth? If this is not possible, then type 2 will be necessary."

OOC The Inquisitor wants to merely test their defenses and rile them up a bit. Inquisitors are master tacticians his intent is to find their weaknesses. Trust me few of my men will die and they will protect yours with their lives. These are the best against any Alien Threat. By the way the Inquisitor is a normal human well kind he's a Psyker he just looks big in his Power Armor but he isnt as big as a Space Marine even in Armor.

The Inquisitor smiled looking down he called the order to his Marines, "For the Emperor!!!! For Mankind!!!!!!!!" The cheer resounded as the Marines jumped from the shuttles weapons blazing. The Inquisitor said, "Captain feel free to join us it's time to test the might of the Space Marine Legions against these abominations. Cowardly compared to Tyranid." A psychic bolt flew from the Inquisitor as the Assault began and plasma and explosions ripped at the enemies.

General Ilas commed General Anderson, "general the threat has been eliminated from this continent I trust. The next step will be much harder for that is where you mine and there we will have to carefully choose our tactics. I am coming to meet you at your bunker." A short time later a Thunderhawk landed outside the bunker and the Marine stepped into it ducking the doorway. He bowed and said, "Well now here is where our ground forces will be tested. You and your men now have the respect of the Space Marines they are brave warriors and good at combat we may need your help in training our Imperial Guard someday."

Corpral Harrison nodded.

"Its true we can modulate the power settings for either types of deployment, and yes we can set the rounds so they will not cause serious sysmic damage, however, more than 50% of the round's velocity is produced by the gravity of the planet as the object falls toward the surface, so there is a lowest limit to which we can set the power."

She sighs.

"It's going to sound repetative, but I beleive we should use the plasmatic ammunition, and then lead a strike with Yygies. After that, we can march down on them with our combined troops, and we can probably deploy smoe Kourn'Nou'Kath warriors as well.

"That is good to hear general. Take a seat." General Anderson thought about what he said. "If you can in such heavy armour. There is much we nations can learn from each other: My Captains have informed us of the power of your armour: Maybe later you can show us how such magnificent armour is possibe."

"We have just been talking about how we wish to retake the rest of the planet. Planetary bombardment seems to be the solution or at least part of it."
General Anderson turned to Jenny.

"Jenny suggests using her own particular weapons, and her type 2 weapons sound like they will do the job. However they will not exterminate the Kralox, that is if we wish to leave Frozopia intact. So a united offensive must be made on the continents, while at the same time tactical strikes can be made on the Kralox strong holds. I am confident that together, victory will be ours." General Anderson frowned.

"Tell me what are the Kourn'Nou'Kath?"

The Mine Lands
As the Frozopians and Space Marines leapt from the aircrafts, they found themselves in grey lands, the sky thick with dark smog and darker clouds. The sun was barely visible, but in the darkness the allies saw the monsters. The Kralox were taken off guard, falling to the vicious weaponry of the allies, as vicious viruses ripped through their immunity system and the psychic power ripped through their minds.

Immediatly the Frozopians shouldered their rifles and started taking aim at the monsters, each shot resulting in the death of one Kralox. But soon the Kralox were getting close, throwing themselves on the Space Marines with blind fury. Several reached for their custom weapons, firing them at the space Marines. Each weapon was different, and if the Kralox had a culture it was in their weapons: Each young Kralox spent a life time developing their weapons.
Several were flame throwers, Chain Machine guns, rocket launchers or 10 ft long chainsaws.

As news of the attack spread along the mines, more and more Kralox gathered to destroy the new foe.....

Kourn'Nou'Kath (Kor-noo-kath)
A humanoid species native to the planet of Kuth'Und'Ulun. The KNK are a diverse species, consisting of several groups much like humans and their different races. They are a massive and strong race, standing at an average of 3.75m tall, and weighing in at 300 Kilograms. They are incredibly intelegent, if rather shamanistic in their practices, and are expert bio-mechanics. They are also noted for their odd body chemistry, resulting in two layers of skin, which creates a null-pocket, which shields the specie's internal organs from the harsh environments of space, allowing for them to space-walk with only a rebreather whicha re encorperated into their masks.

*the data-pad pops up an image*
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v322/Nachturnus/scan.jpg)

KNK are physically incapable of speaking basic in a frequency audible to most humanoids, so they incorperate personal translators into their masks, which are customized to each individual. This is the KNK Blood-warrior, the most violent and expendable of the KNK warrior caste. Bloodwarriors are highly respected members of society seeing as the berserker rage often found in the species is used as their most powerful and suicidal weapon. They most often use small organic pistols that fire high-caliber darts and their natural wrist talons to exterminate foes. The species has a very slight reaction time, leading them to be very agile runners and fighters, and their odd skin cosntruction makes them very resistant to damage.

*the pad pops up a new picture*

This is a picture of a KNK legionaire, who are the single most powerful of all KNK standard military units. They are sheithed in heavy organic armor which protects them from many kinds of energy and projectile weapons. these troopers often wield the dreaded HAVOC Cannon, which is an organic heavy machinegun, firing large spines at a high rate of fire. Most KNK projectiles are covered in acidic bile, which eats through armor and flesh.

The KNK have very advanced biotechnology, and it not unfeasable to find many KNK individuals bio engeneering their own house hold items and weapons. The KNK are ntoed for their exelent spacecraft including the two kilometer long Denizen class and the powerful transforming dislocator fighter, which maintains the ability to transform from a space supiriority fighter into a heavy battle tank.

Tybalt, The slayer

The KNK are also noted for their failed "Bioterror" project, in which they attempted to create perfect warriors out of several species. The most famous of these is the famed and unique Tybalt, who single handedly killed the population of an entire lunar colony before vanishing. He still has not been found. Tybalt's sword, Deathstroke, is the only known use of Nachtium in a melee weapon, and it is assumed that the sword weighs over tw metric tons, but his enhanced strength allows him to wield it one handed.

Jenny turns the thing off. She looks at the general

"So, thats a summary of the Kourn'Nou'Kath. Trust me, they make a killer clean up crew, there wont be anything left living after their done, trust me. We should probably deploy them behind the main forces, so they can clean up any alien survivors."

General Ilas nodded saying, "I will stand. Aye but we can bombard areas and heat them to the point that the ground turns to glass as we did where the remaining Kralox forces on this continent retreated to. They are not a very dangerous foe not like the Tyranid. And about our armor we will talk of creating Space Marines for your nation should you ally with us."

The Kralox Base

The poor alien abominations would be sliced apart by Power Swords and Chain Swords as they got too close and explosions rippled through their bodies as they were struck with bolter shells and incinerated by plasma. And as for the chainguns the bullets merely bounced off the ceramite of which the power armor was composed. The Inquisitor noted that it did not take much to slay the beasts. His blade sliced easily through any of the Kralox that neared him. The Inquisitor threw multiple Implode Grenades at the amassing aliens. As he and his Marines continued to fight with few casualties as a few were caught by Rockets to the chest and one was burned to death. Meanwhile the Eversor would rip through their forces unrelenting and the Culexus would bring horrifying deaths upon the aliens. As this happened the three Venenum Assassins and the six Death Cultists joined the Inquisitor on the battlefield and began cutting swathes in the enemy forces with poison, blades, and bolt pistols. As the Kralox got too close to the Navigator he ripped his bandana off and the Kralox who looked into his eye were killed by the sheer horror of what they saw as their brains exploded. Meanwhile the Vindicare started sniping the enemies from their firing spots in the cloaked shuttle. Their firing was so exact very few things could avoid their shots and those that did were extremely lucky.

I propose we bombard the area with torpedoes and bombs particulary from the Battle Barge Bombardment Cannons. We wipe out the majority of their forces in one swift attack like this and then we move in to mop up with heavy ground forces. Using things like the Titans, Armor Units, and Space Marines. As well as these KNK creatures the Corporal speaks of. I am told that the Inquisitor as already released four Eversor Assassins there which should wipe out hundreds of those creatures before their death then hundreds more when it dies. Bear in mind those statistics apply to one Eversor Assassin. There are 130 Deathwatch Marines which are the best fighters of Alien organisms in existence. Also with the Culexus Assassins released there will be many deaths due to the horrors they unleash. General Anderson I can assure you we have brought the best to assist you. General Anderson interrupted:
"I feel you underestimate the Kralox. It is true that they maybe inferior to your space marines at the moment, but the Kralox will adapt. It will not be very long till they produce superior beings, if they have not produced them already. I fear that we have unleashed our greatest strengths to early: We have given them too long to prepare. It is necessary that we bombard the Kralox as soon as possible. But tell me." General Anderson turned to Jenny, "Why do these Kourn'Nou'Kath fight for you?"

The Black Mountain

They are too strong Patriarch! We cannot defeat them.

The Kralox speaking was a Red Tiger Kralox, or known as Champion Kralox to its people. It was wounded, blood steadily flowing from several gashes in its skin.

The Patriarch's eyes flared bright red, and the huge Kralox stood.

Do not talk to me of failure. The humans are soft. The humans are weak. And these outsiders are little different.

We cannot even pierce their armour! Or at least not with our claws. Maybe with our <weapons>, but even these are ineffective.

Tell me. Are the <Knights> ready?

This question was aimed at a group of Kralox sitting at the back. These were strange in appearance, barely 10 ft in height and without the thick skin that the Black Tiger Kralox carried.

One of the group stood forward.

We have produced 40,000, and more are being produced each hour.

Then they are ready for <battle>?

Yes.

Let me inspect them.

In the rear of the dark cave, a old metallic mining door swung open, and a dark shape stepped forward. It was 40 ft in length, only slightly taller than a Red Tiger Kralox. But this did not make it distinctive. No it was its armour that made it distinctive. For the first time ever, a Kralox was wearing full body armour. The armour was a unknown metal, designed to stop any sort of weaponry, and it made up most of the bulk of the creature. Where the creatures claws would be were a long metal Spikes, 10 ft long. On the creatures shoulder was a small cylinder, pointing forwards. It was on some sort of rotatable device, so that it could spin 360 degrees.

<Knight> do you serve the Patriarch?

For eternity.

Will you destroy the enemy?

Yes

Show me your worth <Knight>

Immediatly 10 Red Tiger Kralox ran into the room, eyeing the unfamiliar Kralox before them.

Destroy them

Immediatly the Knight charged forward, the small cylinder on its shoulder unleashing a blast of energy. It was a beam of some sort, obviously customised from the old mining lasers. Immediatly the beam cut through two of Kralox, and carried on going forwards till it pierced the metallic doors and the thick metal walls beyond them. The Lasar seemed to go on indefinatly.

The 8 remaining did not hesitate. Leaping forwards, another two were caught in a blast before the last 6 were untop of the Knight. The knight immediatly punched its spikes forward, piercing the thick muscles and skin of the Kralox with ease, even punching through the metal embedded in the flesh. The Red Tiger Kralox could not even pierce the armour. Within seconds the 6 were dead.

Good. Send the 40,000 to Agos. The Space Marines will advance no further.

The Mine Lands.
The Space Marines superiority were driving back the Kralox, but it could not last long. Several of the Kralox began to man the clumsily mounted guns, unleashing a rapid fire blast upon the Space Marines. At the same time 20 Kralox ran forwards, stopping to form a small line. Each Kralox then fired a blast of missiles, and then another, and then another. The Frozopians watched this with awe before retalliating: The Kralox had never acted so ordedly before. They were getting smarter.

Corpral Harrison sighs, litening to the space marine bable about their superiority. thes guys would never learn that there really were people in the universe who could kill them. she gains a faint smile remembering the ancient Traak war in which the aegeans decimated an entire space marine star-system in retaliation for the deaths of two diplomats killed by inquisitors for while visiting a hiveworld.

The Frozotopian general asks her a question she snaps back into awareness

"I'm sorry, what? i was thinking."

He repeates his question

"Well, the Kourn'Nou'Kath have been fighting with the Aegeans for several centuries now. One of our most powerful Headmen in the history of Aegeus brought them with him from wherever he came from. His name was Rayne Keltoi. After the disapearence of the savior Aegeus, the nation moved itself into deep space where it was safe from the prying eyes of others."

she continues with the history lesson, and wonders why this man wants to know so much of their history

"After about five hundred years, Rayne Keltoi found us. Noone is sure how, but he knew where we were. He challeneged the Headman of the time to the ritual test of power. He killed the headman, our greatest scientist and warrior in under twenty seconds. Rayne's ascent to power marked the begining of Aegeus' power in space. Within a few years, the Kourn'Nou'Kath had become an integral part of society, the elcerophants had been discovered and also encorperated into our society."

"Rayne himself designed the Ermac battlecruiser, and constructed the mighty Pride of Keltoi. we still use it as our flagship today, however it ahs been renamed Aegeus' Will. Over his immense lifespan, rayne developed more new technology, built more colonies, and established more partnerships than ony headman previously. Eventually, he was expelled by the returned savior Aegeus, and he has disapeared. Over the two hundred years he was in power, Rayne did not age at all, and it was eventually revealed that he was an immortal alien, the son of a colapsed universe, the destruction of which left him outside of the affects of time."

She smiles.

"My forces are ready to move, all I need to do is signal a strike to the captain of The Relentless and our strike will be inbound.

We attack the continent of Agos tomorrow: Our forces have reached where the tip of Agos touches this continet. We will fly some of our force over but several divisions will march across the frozen sea." Replied the General.

Agos
The Kralox Knights bounded across the frozen landscape, running at 40 miles per an hour they were inexhaustible, even in their heavy armour. As the terrain passed by, they were joined by more and more Red and Black Tiger Kralox, till it was a huge army bounding across the terrain.

"I was planning to deploy the Yygdrasils where the main conflict was to be, they will probably be instrumental in killing thousands of these monsters. We can call in the orbrital strike just before we begin the battle if you wish, to soften up the enemy forces."

She looks at the space marine general

"Sir, I am aware of the capabilities of your Terminator class armor, and I beleive your Terminators would be able to enter the blast zone shortly after the Yygdrasils do. If you brought any Terminators, you may wish to deploy them after the strike, probably within two minutes or so of impact.

OOC Hey Starenell is your race perhaps Eldar or Abhumans. I only ask because you described what sounded like a chainsword and you said they looked kind of like elves.
OOC: Yeah they are basically Eldar. Feel free to start a small conflict with them. They are definitely not humans, and would be insulted to be called so. The sword is basically a chainsword, but with small teeth on the chain for a finer cut. Technically though, they are elves. Tel Quessir is what they call themselves, translated as "The People".

The General nodded, "Know that we have more powerful soldiers to use still far more powerful than what many of your Kralox could create because of their complexity. As for the Terminators yes we will send them in give the order though so we can time your plan well. However there are a few things we still have hidden up our sleeves for instance the ability to get to their leader with all of our troops without having to fight even one of their soldiers." He then made direct eye contact with the Corporal saying, "Have you heard of Project Novus. As well as the Feran Marines of Fera Secundus. I can guarantee you we have the ability to up the anty at anytime. Besides there are certain things we haven't unleashed against them i.e. the Titans, Dreadnoughts, Bionoughts, and Walkers."

Meanwhile as ten Space Marines were slain by the assault everyone was beamed to their original shuttles in a flash of light. And as the Shadow Chaser and four of the Thunderhawks raced off the remaining one dropped a M.I.D.A.S. bomb, which was essentialy an energy bomb of nuclear proportions, on the spot where they had been previously battling. The Inquisitor smiled saying, "Good job soldiers you fought well and for that you have my respect now that we have gathered the data necessary we can report back to the Generals and formulate a plan." Unbeknownst to the others in a rear hold rested a Red Tiger's dead body in stasis waiting to be revived by Alteran technology for further study.

The Mine Lands
The bomb erupted, ripping through this portion of the mine lands. It was not the first nuclear weapon used on the Kralox: Although the Frozopians had hesitated using them at the start of the war, wishing to preserve the mines, they did not hesitate later. What they realised, was that the heavy buildings and deep caverns protected the Kralox surprisingly effectively. Unfortunately for the Kralox was that they were rushing to attack the surprise strike on the base when the bomb blew up in their faces. Thousands were killed.

The Bunker
"Then we attack tomorrow. The Space marines can attack down the centre of the battle field, following up the armoured walkers once the ground has cooled. All allied aerial bombers can help clear the path, and I am sure by sunset we will have taken 100's of miles of land. Frozopian armoured divisions and infantry can fan out, enveloping the rest of the country."

17-04-2006, 00:16

Anything they put into battle tomorrow will be something they have spent the last few years hiding for the right moment. That moment could easily be tomorrow. I hope they have instead ceased such adaption, after all they were on the brink of victory before you came." General Anderson knew little that his hopes were wrong.

The General nodded and tapped a few keys on the computer located on his wrist. He stood up and saluted the General then turned swiftly on his heels and walked out of the bunker. He walked silently to his Thunderhawk and once inside opened a comm to his Battle Barge Litany of Death, "Ready Project Novus. Command protocol Delta Echo Alpha Tango Hotel. Also ready the Feran soldiers for deployment in case of an emergency. And get 200,000 of the Terminators down here. Ready for orbital bombardment of the identified main enemy base. We will need to heavily bombard that area with Quantum and Plasma torpedoes." He made a comm broadcast to the ground forces ordering all heavy assault armor units into ready action for deployment. He then commed the Corporal, "What do you think of bombarding the base with virus weapons afterwards before we send in the troops. It could help clear more survivors our virus weapons have already proven very effective. Also I think I figured out a useful insertion strategy."

Meanwhile the Inquisitor looked at the young Captain and said, "Now we are heading to see your Emperor." Moments later the Shadow Chaser decloaked and landed as the Inquisitor and his six Death Cultists walked past guards and numerous administration to walk into the Emperor's Chambers where he was shocked to see nothing less than an Eldar. He quickly drew his sword and combi-bolter with his Death Cultists quickly following suite. He then spoke with anger in his voice, "Emperor be wary of this Eldritch scum. I suggest you move away quickly. And beware these sly Xenos." He did not know whether they were Eldar or the Dark Kin of the Xenos scum, much less from which Craftworld they originated but he did know how dangerous they could be no matter what.

OOC: I think a million terminators is kind of extreme for the situation. When on NS, we use our pop figures, no matter how skewed the nubmers might be unless its not in the NS context, you know this. I just think a million terminators is a bit much for a patrol detecting a distress signal in the middle of nowhere. This also means that were you going to warp them in, it would probably take more than a few hours to do so, even with the expedience of 40k's FTL.

The Emperor looked at the newcomers, strolling in and immediatly making claims that were against the Frozopians guests.

"Intruders."

The Space six Death Cultists found themselves surrounded by 100's of Frozopian royal guard, as walls swung aside to reveal secret compartments. Levelling their weaponry, the Frozopians warily approached the space Marines. The Emperor always had guards ready when he was meeting guests. He had been no less careful this time.

At the same time 30 computerised turrets dropped from the ceiling, pointing their heavy weaponry at the strangers.

Luckily Captain Ryan Spoke:
"Sir. These are allies of Frozopia. I am part of a company that General Anderson attached us too. I persuaded the guards to let us through. I apologise for not waiting for authorisation first."

The Emperor stared at the inquisitor, totally unafraid of the strange man.

"Next time do not be so rash to walk in and call people who offer assistance to Frozopia scum. Captain Ryan, what you did was stupid. You can expect demotion unless you redeem yourself in reclaiming Agos."

"Yes sir."

"Your men can for the moment find space in the bunkers: I will give you my assistant to show you the way." Immediatly a tall blonde man stepped forwards. "His name is Captain James Gore."

His Death Cultists twitched in anticipation when the Inquisitor raised a hand calming them. He psychically reassured them that they could do little to harm him should he decide to fight them. He then resheathed his sword and clipped his gun to his belt saying, "The Eldar are dangerous and untrustworthy on many occassions. I have personally fought them and their Dark Kin as well as many other strange beings you know nothing of. True the Eldar such of the Biel-Tan can be trustworthy at times they cannot always be trusted for they always have a hidden agenda to use their limited but powerful forces. As for the young Captain I ordered him to proceed with me under penalty of death. He has been placed under my command and he has shown me much merit in battle. And if he was young enough we would make him and his men Space Marines with their choice of Chapter however I do not know his age and am more concerned about dealing with this Kralox threat first and foremost." He smiled then looking at the Eldar said, "From what species of Eldar do you hail or Craftworld if that suites you?"

The General smiled saying, "Do not worry it will be a quick acting virus with a short lifespan so your troops can come in later." He turned back to his display studying it carefully as new intel came in of what appeared to be a new species of Kralox. He then turned to Sergeant Licor of the Black Dragons saying, "Ready the Feran Companies for combat. Their claws and enchanced bodies should be able to match this enemy in close range combat as for weaponry I am still not sure. Ready the forces at the Star Fort and await the Inquisitor's and my arrival for briefing." The Sergeant briskly saluted saying, "In the name of the Emperor!" Deep in the bowels of space, the mighty aegean warfleet resides, hordes of miners quickly stripping huge chucks of minerals from a great deal of asteroids floating in a belt around a molten planet of lava. Noone knew about the world of Karek and it's great civilizations, and now noone will.

Sitting upon the comander's chair of the Will of Aegeus , a wicked smile flashes across the dark blue lips of the headman. His nation would be rememberedc, noone would ever forget the day that they saw fire raining down upon this world. noone would ever let the mighty nation of Aegeus slip out of memory. Never again. His eyes close dreamily and he leans his head back, enjoying the moment of rapture, the sick grin still across his face.

A comms operator stands next to the chair, preparing to deliver the reports of the bastions of the fleet. The headman flicks his wrist at him, the signal to present his report.

"Sir, so far the mining operation goes far ahead of schedule, we should be able to finish this planet off in a weeks time, the deadalus shipyards have been Nexused in per your request, and have begun building."

He presses the next button on his datapad several times

"Seems to be nothing extraordinary happening back at the Homefront. They are preparing to Nexus to the next location."

He keeps going through the pages of data, his trained eyes reading a summarizing at an insane speed

"Nothing unusual on patrols. Several Ermacs engaged a silicone Behemoth outside of sector 62-alpha4, no casualties... this is odd, one ermac, The Relentless reported a distress signal from a previously unknown civilization at sector 43-sigma8, not on the galactic database or the old ESUS files."

The headman's eyes open wide at the mention of 43-Sigma8. He looks at the officer, his yellow eyes glaring at him. in his cool but dangerous voice he says, almost whispering:

"What?"

The officer looks flustered and begins to repeat his statement, and the Headman cuts him off with a roar.

"I know what you said!"

The headman curses, and slams his hand into the arm of his chair, leaving a fist shaped dent. He glares at the comms officer, and begins barking orders to his comand crew.

"Navigation, set a course for sector 43-Sigma8 I want a full nexus vortex in twenty minutes. Comms, Message The Charibdys , Tell Kil'Thu that he is going to stay here with the miners and the fleet, Get us The Reckless , The Harbringer , The Overlord , and The Monarch , we need them here before we jump, tell them to get into our Nexus wake."

His orders are carried out with the switness of hermes himself, as the four Ermacs form up on the huge Will of Aegeus . As the ships Nexus out through the giant electrified blue vortex, the Headman broods. Somone will pay for this. noone can destroy his plans, noone.
