Hello. This is my first RP and first RP of this kind. I hope I do well. I felt I could try one since I've seen the others around.

Emperor Joseph III of the Imperial House of Smith (Not to make fun or anything of Mormons, I respect them) was a single parent, he raised a daughter who was now 19 years old, named Emma Hale or just Emma and raised other children as well. Joseph felt now would be a good time to have her marry. He consulted with Emma and Brigham Young (Head of the Mormon Church) and then sent a message.

''To all nations,
Peace be with you. I, Emperor Joseph III of Independent Utah have decided to look for a husband for my daughter. He must be loving, kind, caring, respectful and so on. Religion does not matter at all. Here is some info on my daughter.

Age- 19
Height-5'6
Hobbies-Reading, Writing, Athletics, Outdoors, and many other things

The message was sent to all nations and Joseph waited for a reply.

We have a few questions for, and regarding Emma.
1: What is she looking for in a husband, beside the pre-listed qualifications?
2: Any issue from this marriage, how will they be raised religiously?
3: Are there any other conditions that might enhance or imped a marriage?

1. She is looking for a open minded person, one who is nice and caring (no wife beaters or anything), just a respectful, family person.
2. They will not be forced to follow the faith of Emma or of her husband. They may follow their own path if they wish but respect for Emma's and her husband's religion are appreciated.
3. What conditions do you speak of? Just so we can answer this question.

Well, what's the minimum age? If you want to do things a little differently, think outside the box and all, Ttambo's leader is Prince Anufu, a 14-year-old boy. He is one year away from being considered a man in his culture. It would make for an interesting roleplay because Anufu is foreign royalty, presiding over a country of steaming hot jungles and rainforests. Obviously the culture clash would be significant...it would make for good writing. Of course, it is up to you.

Ttambo, I don't know if we could try something like that. Could you give me info on Anufu? The only thing is that Emma is 19 and he is 14 so she would be older than him in the future.

All nations are open to join in this RP of mine.

A skull could be seen flying through the air on some sort of... Device? A repulsor platform hidden in it, maybe? It had a mechanical sensor implanted in one of the eyes and a robotic claw that held a rolled up letter. Should it be allowed into the Emperor's office, it would be written in a smooth, flowing hand of the man's native tongue.

"Your Majestic Emperor Smith,
I, the Prophet Muhadin, am intrigued by the offer of your daughter's hand in marriage. I am, at the time of writing, a High Priest in the Imperial Cult of the Grand Imperium. I share many of your daughter's interests. If you yourself are interested, feel free to open the servoskull's mouth. Inside you will find a not inconsiderable gift. It is a necklace of the finest deep ocean sapphires of Aquatica."

The skull was brought to the Emperor, Joseph III Smith who read the letter and then replied.

''To Prophet Muhadin,
I have read your letter and I would like more info on you and your Imperial cult. I will give the necklace inside to my daughter. I will tell you that I will wait for other nations to offer suitors first before I choose as I don't want to be rude or anything.

And a surprisingly short time later, the skull returned again, with another letter. Again, it was written in the man's native tongue.

"Majestic Emperor,
The Imperial Cult is the official religion of the Grand Imperium. It preaches the belief that the Emperor is in a way divine, as it is he who must bear the burden of ruling and the pressure of having lives at stake with every decision. We seek to remind the public of their duty to their Emperor, as they can lower the burden.

The Prophet Muhadin wishes you well. Bri tonmel Muhadin. (Translation: So sayeth Muhadin.}"

Joseph III recieved the letter and he said

''Prophet Muhadin,
Thank you for the info on the Imperial cult. We would like info on yourself if able. We are still thinking on matters and waiting to see if any other suitors will come.

Just to confirm, religion and culture do not matter. Emma is a Mormon citizen of Independent Utah but her suitors do not have to be Mormons.

Theao, since my answers were not good, here are my reanswers.

1. She is not looking for anything special in a suitor, but she would like one who is open minded and open to new things.
2. They will not be forced to follow the faith of Emma or of her husband. They may follow their own path if they wish but respect for Emma's and her husband's religion are appreciated.
3. There are no conditions that we can think of at this moment.

For number 3, I am a little confused so I answered it the way I did.

Honorable Joseph III

This letter is written by me, Minister of Human Resources of Arkapolis, on a private capacity. I believe that my son, Moammer Manuel Mzivic, is a suitable candidate for Emma. He believes in scientology (alas) and is interested in soccer, polo, mountain climbing, and violin. Standing 5'11', 201Ibs, black hair and eyes, he has recently finished his undergrad at marine mythology in University of Narniapolis at our divisional capital, and was a ranked 3rd in his class. He is a loving and caring child, and I sincerely hope that the highly publicized break up with a vile and deceptive actress (who is now in prison) will not affect your judgement. Whoever you select, I wish Emma a happy and succesful married life.

Joseph III read the Arkapolitan letter and replied...

''Greetings. I have read your letter. Scientology, you say? I have no problem with it, I would like it though if that if he was chosen, that he would respect the Mormon Church of Independent Utah (Emma's religious faith). Your son seems like a determined and respectful person, he seems to have achieved much in his life. I would like to know how old he is. His breakup with that mentioned actress does not affect my judgement. We thank you for your well wishing of my daughter, Emma. We will wait for more suitors and then choose. If with all respect, your son is not chosen, he is welcome to attend the wedding.

I thank you for your your quick response. My son is 23 years old, with his 24th birthday coming up in September. As I mentioned, he is a broad minded person, and has full respect for all other faiths. However, he also mentions that should his future bride not be a believer in scientology, then their offsprings should be allowed to choose their religion and not be brought up with his mother's faith, which ofcourse, the children may choose to follow.

Please note that this letter is not written in professional capacity, and at this moment I am only a father of a noble young man.

We thank you for telling us of his age and of his respectful character. We can agree with your statement on religious faiths. The children if any can decide on what faith to follow, whether your son's Scientology or my daughter's Mormonism or any other faith. We are waiting for other suitors and if none come, we will choose between your suitor and the one from Tarayshia.

the one not carrying the landed on the honourable Joseph III's shoulder and dropped a letter written on sapphire blue paper into his outstretched hand

OOC I am sorry for the extremely late post. There has been alot going on lately (Finals, College, Girls, and Jack Daniels) but I can start RPing now.

There has never been a good moment in Eduardo's life. He had lived his life in the worse barrios (ghettos) is Edoniakistanbabweagua, working for drug lords and gangs as a fighter in their Luchas de Capoeira tournaments. There was a time in his life when he tried for true love in a far off land known as Geneticon, but the rich princes had stolen the heart of the woman. Broken hearted and downtrodden, he spent his life in the small town of Tierra, Suelo Rocoso, one of the 13 states of Edoniakistanbabweagua.

Eduardo came back one night from Capoeira practice with his Mestre, Mestre Shamo. He opened the door and took the mail from his box. Eduardo opened up a bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a shot glass for himself. As he began drinking, he read through each letter.

"Bill, Bill, Bill...what is this?" Eduardo stopped drinking. It was addressed from the king of Edoniakistanbabweagua.

Rey Eduardo del San Acero would like to thank you for catching and disdanding the Arañas Negras in your old home. We are in your debt and for your help, I am giving you something that you have always wanted. Her name is Emma. She is 19 years of age, not too far off from you. We will provide transportation for you to go to Independant Utah. Once again, we thank you for your help andwe hope this will suffice for now.

Hobbies: Capoeira, a Brazilian martial arts brought to Edoniakistanbabweagua by Mestre Shamo and taught to Eduardo from Shamo. He also drinks out of depression, waiting for his true love to come.

Bio:
Eduardo had lost his mother at childbirth and his father died of cancer soon after. His parents were both Capoeiristas under the training of Mestre Shamo. As with Capoeira culture, their nicknames were Caucho (Rubber) and Torbellino (Whirlwind) and they went by their nicknames instead of their real names. He was given to the gang Las Arañas Negra as what usually happened to orphans of the city and was taught Capoeira by them at a young age. At age 13, he met Mestre Shamo and discovered about his parents. He began training with Shamo, but never left the gang because he needed the money to survive. He took the nicknames of his mother and father as his own last names. His nickname was Pena (Sorrow). At 19, he left for Geneticon in search of true love but was rejected completely. He came back in despair and anger and helped the rey end the gangs in the Barrios. He helped Shamo open an orphanage/capoeira group and has helped the children since. But since his rejection he has been in a deep depression, drinking himself to sleep after each Capoeira practice.

Brigham Young was the Head of the Mormon Church. When he was talking to Emma, the letter came. Brigham read it and thought ''This suitor's been through a hard life.'' He gave it to Emma and after reading it, she said ''I would like to meet him. He's been through a lot in his hard life and perhaps this will loosen things up for him.'' Brigham nodded and wrote back. On the letter, the emblem of the Mormons was on the letter, so Rey Eduardo del San Acero would know it was from the Mormon Church's head.

''Dear Rey Eduardo del San Acero,
I am not Joseph III but Brigham Young, head of the Mormon Church. I have read your letter (as well as Emma) and she would like to meet Eduardo. With all respect, he seems to have had a hard life. It is saddening for people to steal your love away (the Geneticon part of your letter). Emma would like to meet him. Please send him to the city of Smithstantinople, Joseph III, Emma and myself will meet him along with some of the ministers like President Daniel Wells or Vice President Cowdery. Also, enclosed in this letter is a guide for language, culture and so on. In case he has difficulty with things like that. We hope to see you in Smithstantinople, and we hope that God the Father helps Eduardo have a better life than the one he has had.

Edoniakistanbabweagua clothing is known for being loose and casual, even for formal clothing. This is in part of the heat and humidity of the island nation.

Eduardo put on his white leisure suit that he got back in his travels. He had already packed and was ready to come and meet with Emma. He was already feeling nervous. I hope I can do this. I wonder how she is, he thought.

The plane was awaiting Eduardo and his Mestre and Capoeira group. They were the family he had known, so he asked that they be present for this meeting. He breathed very heavy and went aboard the plane. Mestre Shamo saw how nervous he was, so he comforted the only way he could.

SMACK!!

"Ow!! What was that for!!??!!" yelled Eduardo.

"You need to chill Ed. Take it easy. This is a chance of a lifetime, but you are gonna blow it if you don't chill. Ok?" explained Shamo.

"You are right," Ed smiled. Just relax...relax...

THe plane was off towards Independent Utah.

Brigham Young was at the airport, waiting for Eduardo. He wore a formal attire (one that did explain his status) and around his neck was a crucifix necklace. He would escort Eduardo to the palace, where Joseph III, the ministers and his daughter, Emma were waiting.

When Eduardo landed, Brigham greeted him. ''I am Brigham Young, head of the Mormon Church. You must be Eduardo. I'll take you to Emma.'' Brigham said, escorting him to a limo.

As they got in, Brigham said ''Eduardo, I read about your life from the letter we recieved. With all respect, your life has been hard for you.''

OOC-If I missed the others coming with him, add them in your reply. Sorry if I missed them.

Eduardo and his group left the plane. The man known as Brigham Young greeted him and his group.

''I am Brigham Young, head of the Mormon Church. You must be Eduardo. I'll take you to Emma.''

"Hello sir. I am Eduardo. It is a pleasure to finally meet you,'" Eduardo smiled and shook Young's hand.

They walked into the limo.

''Eduardo, I read about your life from the letter we recieved. With all respect, your life has been hard for you.''

Eduardo was suprised that they had taken so much of an interest in him. "It's ok. I'm still alive and I am doing better." Yeah right, he thought. I drink myself to sleep and that is much better...

The limo was taking them to the area where Ed would me Emma

OOC hehe Mestre is not the art. It is basically a sensei, or a master of Capoeira. Shamo is a Mestre. Like sensei Shamo.

Eduardo looked at Mestre Shamo.

"Did you bring the instruments?" asked Eduardo.

"Of course!! What, you thought I was gonna leave them ya bum?" Shamo smiled and told the group to get the instruments.

"Well, to do Capoeira, we have to go outside. It is alot more fun that way," said Eduardo to Emma and her father.

Eduardo guided them outside where the group was waiting for them in a big circle on the grass.

"Ok, now Capoeira is done in a circle of people, known as a roda. It is played along the tone of the berimbau," Eduardo showed them the instrument.

"Now in Capoeira, even though it is a fighting style, we aren't trying to kill each other. Instead, we have fun by outsmarting the opponent. So enough chatter. Lets begin."

Joseph, Emma, Brigham and others watched the group's performance. They were amazed at what they could do. ''Amazing. I've never seen anything like it.'' Emma said. ''This is interesting. Perhaps we could have it in our nation?'' Brigham whispered to Joseph. Other ministers were speaking well of the group. After the performance, they all clapped and cheered Eduardo and his group on. Emma came to Eduardo and said ''You did a wonderful job. You should be proud.'' Joseph came and said ''Eduardo, perhaps Emma could show you the city?''

"I would be honored to see the city with Emma, sir," said Eduardo. Eduardo put back his formal attair and proceeded to go to the city with Emma. With escorts of course...

Shamo came up to Young and said, "Well I see you are interested in Capoeira in your country. Well, I know of some fine mestres that would love to help. And Eduardo there is really good at it, although he still has much to learn. But if he stays here, well he can teach. What do you say?"

OOC-I'm sure you will get good like that soon.

IC- Several Imperial Guards escorted Emma and Eduardo around Smithstantinople. Emma pointed out places like Temple Square, the statue of Joseph Smith, the Franciscan monasteries and other places. ''Eduardo, I hope you have a easier life than you've had.'' Emma said as she gave him a tour of the city.

Brigham replied ''If your art can be taught in my country, I'm sure it would be good. Those mestres' help would be appreciated. I'm sure Eduardo will become more better.''

Joseph came to Shamo and said ''Do you think Emma could learn Capoeira? I think she could do good at it, she's done similar things before.''

Shamo thought and said, "Sure! Anyone can come and learn Capoeira. It'll take hard work but after about a year, she should get some of the basics down. But it will take at least 25 years to master"


Eduardo turned to her and smiled. She was very very beautiful and very sweet to him. It was like a dream come true for Eduardo. "Thank you Emma for pointing out the sites for me. One day I have to invite you to my country. I know you would love it there. So what other sites are there here?" Eduardo's hand met with Emma's. Their hands intertwined. Emma blushed and smiled. Eduardo smiled. They continued walking down the streets, looking at different sites.

''I'm sure people will handle it.'' Brigham said. ''Perhaps Emma could learn it, I think she knows some.'' Joseph said.

Emma liked Eduardo, for a man with a hard life, he seemed to be very nice. Emma thought for a while before saying ''Eduardo, I would like to see your country one day. Also, do you want to see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir?'' The Choir was a well known choir, known for singing songs like Martin Luther's A Mighty Fortress Is Our God or O Come O Come Emmanuel and they also sung the Lord's Prayer. ''So, do you want to see some choir singing?'' Emma said.

"Id love to," responded Eduardo.

The two went to the church where the choir was singing. Emma and Eduardo just closed their eyes and listened intently to the sweet melody of the angelic choir. Eduardo held her arm and smiled affectionately at Emma. Emma smiled back and rested her head on his shoulders. They continued to listen to the beautiful chorus sing as if they were the Holy Nine Choirs of Angels singing of praise and love. She picked up her head as the chorus neared the end. They looked at each other in their eyes, fixated with the shimmering gems in them. He wasn't sure if he should, but he kissed Emma softly as the choir finished their song.

IC- Emma was a little amazed at when Eduardo kissed her but seemed to accept it. When the choir finished its set of songs, Emma said ''Eduardo, what would you like to see? What would you like to do?'' Emma thought for a while before she said ''Eduardo, do you think I could learn Capoeira? I think I know some.'' Then she took him to a gym and said ''Watch this. I'll show you some stuff I learned.'' She began to fight these trainers and beat them, using Muay Thai and other arts.

"Well, you are definately trained in some pretty though stuff," Eduardo said. "Which will make this a little tougher..."

Eduardo contiued as he took off his shoes. "First thing in Capoeira is to get loose. Just loosen the muscles. Then, you gotta get rythm. Once you get that, you can do the Ginga."

Emma looked at her puzzelled.

"It is the main swaying motion in Capoeira. To actually do it, you have to focus on the legs, arms, and upper body," he began showing her the side to side motion that was the ginga.

Emma started to try some Capoiera. She was doing great in Eduardo's view. ''This is fun, isn't it Eduardo?'' Emma said as she continued. Then she said ''Eduardo, would you like to fight me in Capoeira?''. She seemed to be doing very well and excellently at Capoeira. ''Later, I'll show you how to do the dances of the Greeks.'' Emma said before asking him to do some Capoeira with her. Emma liked Eduardo, although he had a hard life, he seemed to take life easily, especially with Capoeira which Brigham Young was planning to introduce.

"Sure, I guess we can try some Capoeira," she was a fast learner, but there was still a long ways to go. He had to first get her to unlearn some bad habits from the other martial arts like keeping the muscles stiff. But there is only one way to learn.

"Ok, now we will joga, which means play, because in Capoeira, you really aren't trying to beat the other guy up. Instead, you want to out smart him and trip him. It is called Malicia. It is just playful trickery. You can combine the ginga with the kicks you know from Muay Thai if you want," said Eduardo.

The group of Capoeiristas gathered around them, some with different instruments like the conga drum, agogo, and the beribau.

"Now in Capoeira, you move to the sound of the berimbau, not the drums. All instruments and gingas are in rythm with the berimbau, Now to begin, the two Capoeirista crouch where the berimbau holder is and grab each other's right hand, with their left covering their face. If you don't cover your face, they will slap you to remind you. Then you cartwheel or flip in the roda with your partner, but becareful. Sometimes the partner won't cartwheel and will instead get you as you cartwheel. After that, then the game begins and you try and dodge each other's moves. When someone is tired, they clap their hands behind their back to signal Volto de Mundo, where you just walk around the roda two or three times to catch you breath. Then you meet back at the berimbau and get back in. I suggest changing into something loose fitting."

Emma changed and came back in some bagger pants.

Eduardo nodded and the group began playing a Capoeira song. Two people from the group crouched down and cartwheelled in. They began playing.

After about two minutes, a person jumped in infront of one of them and said "Ye!!". He took the place of one of the players and the fight continued.

After five minutes, Eduardo motioned for Emma to come to the berimbau. She came smiling and ready. They grabbed hands and got ready.

"Ye!" yelled Eduardo. Both combatants stopped and smacked hands with each other and left the roda. Eduardo nodded at Emma and she cartwheelled in. Eduardo however cartwheeled in with his hands. The two began to ginga. Emma had a pretty good ginga, but it was still a little stiff. The berimbau continued to play as the two exchanged kicks, noone hitting. Emma roundhouse kicked Eduardo but he under the leg and dodged completely. Eduardo winked at her playfully and threw a Bencao at her.

She barely dodged, but took this time to kick head in the side. Ed tried to dodge but the leg got him in the face. Emma went up to him to see if he was ok, but he smiled and said "That is my fault. I didn't dodge quick enough. Nice kick."

Emma was confused at this philosophy, but they continued. Emma threw another kick but Eduardo moved out of the way and threw a Meia Lua de Compasso, barely missing her face.

But Eduardo wasnt trying to hit her. She threw another roundhouse and he did a Cocorinha followed by a Macaco. Emma was getting a bit frustrated, but she kept her cool. Eduardo then got on the ground and did an S-Dobrado

He missed and Emma kicked him again, but Eduardo was ready and did a negativa under the kick and sweeped her on the ground.

Before she landed, Eduardo caught her and lifted her up in his arms.

"Very good for your first roda," he smiled affectionately as he placed her back on her feet. "You did better than I did my first time."

Emma smiled and blushed again as he held her hand and said, "Capoeira is more than a martial art, dance, and a game. It is life. Each person plays as they would live life. Some are agressive. Some are tricky. Some don't know what they are doing. But after being in the roda for a while, you grow and change to what will help you play in the roda, just like how you play in life. Nobody wins," he said solemnly. "You just have fun and get better. Now show me this dance of the Greeks you were talking about."

Emma smiled and took him to a building. She gave him a Greek men's outfit and said ''This is what we wear.'' Afterwards, Mikis Theodorakis' Zorba The Greek music played and they danced.

''Come on, Eduardo! Dance!'' Emma said happily as she danced in her Greek outfit. The music was playing and the dancers were dancing. Emma was a talented dancer, she could do these dances well.

Then the dances switched around and Eduardo saw himself with Emma.

''Eduardo, you're a good dancer.'' Emma said nicely. As they danced, Emma continued dancing well until at the end, she jumped in the air and did a trick before landing. ''And that is a dance of the Greeks.'' she said.

Eduardo felt a bit weird wearing the clothing but he seemed to enjoy the dancing. And Emma looked very beautiful dancing in her outfit. Almost like watching an angel dance.

Emma did a trick at the very end of the dance.

"I thought the dance was pretty good," he said. "I enjoyed it, especially with you."


Shamo was still discussing Capoeira with Brigrahm Young and Joseph while Eduardo and Emma were dancing. Shamo was pretty happy about spreading the spirit of Capoeira to other people. Plus he could make a little cash from it, he thought playfully.

''You are a sweet and caring person.'' Emma said. Later on, she said ''What would you like to do now, Eduardo?''

Brigham was negoitating with Shamo, trying to get things to click.

"Well actually, I was wondering if maybe we can go on another walk?" Eduardo asked.

Emma nodded and they went for another walk together through the capital.

The sun was getting low as Emma and Eduardo walked through the capital. Her arm was around his and her head lay on his shoulder.

"Emma."

"Yes."

"There is something I want to tell you."

Emma and Eduardo stopped walking for a moment. Eduardo was still very nervous about being with someone, but he set aside his own fears and spoke.

"Emma, when I am with you, I feel so much better about everything. About life, about love. I...I am falling in love with you Emma. You are someone that completes me. I am beginning to care about you alot." He brushed the hair off of her cheek.

Emma felt his hands and placed hers on his. ''I think I'm beginning to love you too, Eduardo. You are so sweet for saying what you said.'' Emma said before going in to give him a nice kiss.

Eduardo and Emma kissed each other. He wrapped his arms around her waist as her arms went around his neck. They paused momentarily only to kiss each other again and again under the setting sun. He picked her up and carried her off back home, never letting go of her.

Emma held on to him as he carried her to the Palace. Joseph saw them and he said ''I see you both have had a good time.'' He helped them in and led them to dinner. ''After dinner, Emma can show Eduardo his room.''

Emma took Eduardo to his room so he could prepare for dinner. He walked in and saw that the room was beautiful. There was a bed, he thought. A very fluffy bed. And a rug. He had never had a rug as fluffy as this. Eduardo just marvelled at all of the items that many people here take for granted.

"I have a cabinent!" Eduardo opened it to find the clothing he had packed hung. Usually he just put his clothes in a small dresser unfolded. Eduardo laid on the bed. "Wow, it is so soft." He sat up and realized he was getting a little eccentric with the room.

"I should probably change back into my formal clothes," thought Eduardo. He could smell the delicious food from in his own room.

Emma came and said ''Dinner is ready.'' Brigham Young, Joseph III, Emma and Eduardo sat together for dinner, the People's Party leaders were all having dinner at their own residences. Brigham Young said ''For dinner, we have things like baklava, sachertorte and many other foods.'' Emma took a lot of the baklava and other foods and began eating.

''Eduardo, feel free to talk, chat, eat, anything.'' Brigham said nicely.

OOC baba...BAKLAVA!!! *drools* O man I havent had some Baklava since christmas...I think Im falling in love with Emma lol! BTW I am doing this parrallel to another RP that is takin place at the same timeframe.

Eduardo's eyes glistened as he saw the food in front of him. He almost leaped at the food like a wild animal when he saw Shamo look at him. Manners...damn...

"This is very good food," Eduardo replied politely, trying not to pig out. He turned to Joseph and asked, "Sir, I had a question."

Joseph looked at him waiting for the question.

"Well, I was wondering if you and Emma would like to come to our country this week. We are having a huge celebration called La Venida de Jurakán. It is a week long celebration of the coming hurricane season and there are huge parties and Capoeira and dancing and Batey (Like soccer, but different). On the final day, there is a huge formal dance in the Centre Plaza of the capital. The celebration begins in two days. We could leave when ever you want. What do you think?"

OOC-I've had baklava before too. Also, thanks for telling me about the parellel RP and I did like it when you said you yourself were falling in love with Emma.

IC-''That would be a great idea. I will have Brigham Young help my wife and Emma's siblings. We shall go to your country tomorrow.'' Joseph said before a man came to him and whispered things to Joseph. ''I must go now. Things to do.'' Joseph said leaving. ''Eduardo, why does your nation have a long name?'' Emma asked as Brigham picked up the plates and Emma took all of the baklava. Perhaps Emma and Eduardo would have a great life together.

"Ummm...I don't know," said Eduardo. "I guess you would have to talk to the bohiti about that. They are shamans in our nation and they are very wise in the knowledge of the history of our country."

Everyone went to their rooms after the dinner to rest up for tomorrow. Eduardo lay on his bed looking up at the ceiling smiling very big.

OOC-I wonder how many will ask then.

IC-Emma came to Eduardo in the morning saying ''Time to wake up, sleepy head.'' and she brought him his breakfast. Joseph came in a military uniform and said ''Eduardo, today we should go the land with a long name, your nation.''

Brigham Young had everything ready for Emma and Joseph. He would help with Joseph's family and the nation.

''Eduardo, I can't wait to see your nation. I am sure it will be fun.'' Emma said.

They left for the airport to go to Eduardo's home. He had to admit that he did miss it and that he couldn't wait for La Venida de Jurakán.

He went to Joseph and Emma and said, "It would be a good idea to wear loose and light clothing. It can get very hot and humid, especially since it is the season of Jurakán of Monzón."

Joseph and Emma compromised on their clothing and as they went to Eduardo's home, they hoped he would give them a tour. ''Eduardo, your land is fascinating and interesting.'' Emma told him. Joseph also gave good compliments concerning this land.

''What shall we do first here?'' Emma asked, wanting to know this land more better.

They had landed in the Airport of La Ciudad de Azure, the nation's capital and left the airport. The city was big and bustling with people setting up decorations for the week long celebration.

Emma looked to her left and saw people playing Capoeira in the sidewalks. Little kids were running around kicking a rubber ball like if it was soccer. The atmosphere was very...tropical. As they continued down the street, they reached the Centre Plaza. This was the huge hub of the entire city and it was already covered with booths and Spanish/Aztec decorations. Food was being prepared which several options, from fried eel and tostones to maize and ric and beans. Seafood was everywhere. Eduardo took something from one of the booths and gave it to Emma.

"Here, try this. It is Xocolatlblanca. It is a very delicious sweet that we have her. You might know it as white chocolate," said Eduardo. Emma ate the Xocolatlblanca and smiled.

Emma looked at a huge sign that said "El Lucha de Batey!!! Coyotl y Manati' en miercoles!!" She was puzzelled as to what it was.

A group of children was surronding an old man. He was telling them a story about something.

"That is Bohiti Yugo. He is one of the elder shaman here. He loves telling children about the stories of the Old Ways,"said Shamo to Joseph. 'There are some very good stories."

''Perhaps he could tell us some stories, Shamo.'' Joseph said about Bohiti Yugo. ''This land is great! I can't believe we are here!'' Emma said, trying everything from every booth. ''Batey is soccer style right? I think this sign says about Batey. I am a excellent soccer player.'' Emma said. ''It's true. She's won a lot of trophies and awards.'' Joseph said.

''What shall we do first?'' Emma asked.

"Well the ceremny will begin, which means that the Batey game will start," said Eduardo. "We could go get tickets to watch them. It'll be fu..." He was interuppted by the arguing of two groups of people.

"Uh oh," said Eduardo. "Lets get out of here."

Emma and Joseph was confused. "Those are Tontos de Batey. They are like soccer hooligans from England. They are crazy about Batey. They can also be very violent, especially against rivals. We better leave this area."

The group left to go towards Bohito Yugo. Shamo and Joseph and the siblings stayed to hear his stories of the Old Ways. Emma and Eduardo went off to get tickets for the Batey game.

"Batey is a fun but vicious sport," Eduardo said. "The aim of the game is to get the Batey ball into one of three hoops on the enemy's side. It is very difficult because you cant use your hands and you have to deal with the protector. There is alot of tackling and sometimes fights can break out on the field. After four rounds, the winner is the one who scores the most."

He got the tickets and figured since they were alone, he could show her around the city some more. Eduardo guided her through some of the streets where bands were playing. On the stage was Bori'ken, a famous rapper in the country. The people were cheering for him as he sang and the band mixed spanish instruments with electronica/rap beats. Eduardo continued taking Emma around the beautiful sights, including the Guerrero Memorial.

"That is Guerrero, the soldier that helped stop the tyranny that ruled over our country only 5 years ago. The War of Liberation lasted for 13 years, but Guerrero and Datijao Eduardo del San Acero and the entire Liberation Army toppled the corrupt democracy. Guerrero gave his life in the final battle of La Ciudad de Azure against the monstrosity of the Red Dragon. He will always be remembered as a great warrior."

IC-Emma and Joseph listened to everything that Eduardo had said. After a while, Emma said ''Perhaps I could learn Batey.'' as they watched the soccer game. ''We should leave, I don't want hooligans to hurt me.'' Emma admired the music of Bori'ken and listened to the story of Guerrero. Afterwards, she said ''Eduardo, what should we do now?'' For this whole time, she had admired the entire city that Eduardo showed her.

Joseph listened to the stories, hoping to remember to tell them to his other children.

Eduardo thought about Batey. It is a very dangerous contact sport, he thought. And he didn't want to see Emma get hurt. But he couldn't say no to that face.

"Errr...let's go get those tickets now. I'm sure the Tontos have been cleared out by now," Eduardo said.

The Bohito began with the story of creation. Joseph and Shamo listened to the story.

"In the very beginning of the great darkness, there was nothing but darkness. This was the time of darkness and evil. Suddenly the father sky, Yocahu, and mother earth, Atabey, came together and formed a child. The child was the world. From the world came their second child, the great serpent Quetzalcoatl. He was to be the guardian of the earth and in turn, would give birth to man."

"It was then that Yocahu and Atabey gave birth to more children. Jurakán and Monzón were the next children, the god and goddess of the storms. After them were the four children who are the future Skybearers, Ehecatl of the west wind, Mictlantecuhtli of the southern underworld, Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli of the eastern destruction star, and Huehueteotl of the northern hearth. However, they began bickering about why Quetzalcoatl was the guardian and not them. So they began fighting over who would be guardian of the earth. The wars ravaged the land, creating mountains and canyons over Atabey. This hurt her and in turn, made Yocahu cry. His tears flooding Atebey, creating the rivers and oceans. Quetzalcoatl grew angry and fought the squabbling brothers. He threw them into the sky as punishment so that they could never travel on the Earth and always watch over it. The four brothers decided to accept this fate and watch over the different directions of the world. Mictlantecuhtli, being the instigator of the fight, was stuck as god of the underworld. Even though Quetzalcoatl quelled the fight, he still got hurt. His blood fell on the ground. Jurakán and Monzón used the power of the hurricane to clean up the blood and form it with the earth to create lumps to discard of. What happened, however, was the creation of the first people of our nation. Seeing their accidental creation, they decided to raise the children along with Quetzalcoatl. Jurakán, the god of anger and storms, taught the men and women discipline and how to fight and hunt. Monzón, the goddess of the gentle seabreeze and storms, taught them compassion and how to do arts and crafts. Quetzalcoatl taught them wisdom and intellegence. And so the legend of how men were created is over."

''So, can I play Batey? I've played soccer for a long time, since I was a wee girl.'' Emma said. Emma nodded and went to get the tickets.

''Interesting story. Every culture has its own story.'' Joseph observed as he listened, writing it down so that his children could hear it.

''Eduardo, I think you are a handsome, well mannered young man. Thank you for all the care and love and respect and everything you've given me.'' Emma said.

"Well Emma, lets watch Batey first," Eduardo said with a smile. "And thank you for showing me that there are still kind women in the world. Here, I want you to have this."

Eduardo took out a small amulet necklace that had the words "Nanichi" on it. He put it on her neck and said, "Nanichi is Old Dioyoquetzios for My Love. These amulets are given only to the ones that a man loves. I want you to have this."

''Ok and you are welcome. I am a kind person, father and Brigham Young say.'' Emma said. She looked at the amulet and said ''Thank you very much for the amulet, I have a giff for you too.'' Emma said. She gave him a heart amulet with her picture in it. ''So you remember me.'' Emma said before giving him a small kiss.

Eduardo kissed Emma after he received the heart amulet from her. For that brief moment of love, they were unbothered by any man

When they watched the game, Emma cheered for the players. ''Eduardo, can't I play batey? I'd do excellent, I'm sure of it.'' Emma said to Eduardo. She held to him as they watched.

''What's after this on our agenda?'' Emma asked nicely.

They had taken their seats at the Dioyoquetzios Stadium in the reserve seats where the game would be held. Eduardo was still trying to avoid answering her question right now. Maybe watching it will show her what it really is. Armed guards were around the stadium, prepared with antiriot outfits.

The announcer began speaking.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN OF ALL RACES!!! WELCOME TO THE FIRST ANNUAL LA VENDIDA DE JURAKáN BATEY GAME!!! THIS IS OUR ANNUAL RIVIALY SCRIMMAGE BEFORE THE ACTUAL SEASON FOR THE TOURISTS HERE!!! LETS GET THIS GAME STARTED!!!"

The crowd's deafening cheer resonated through the stadium. Emma cheered along too. Eduardo cheered a bit. The teams ran out into the field, psyching up the crowd as they entered. The Coyotls were wearing Blue and Grey as their team colours, while the Manati's were wearing Red and Blue for theirs.

The team captains went up to the centre of the court, ready to the decide who went first.

"Here it comes..." Eduard said to himself. The Captains began to fight. Literally. Fists and kicks and even some Capoeira moves were used. In the end, the Manati' leader power bombed the captain on the ground and spit in hit face, marking that their team had the ball. The captains left the centre and the game began.

The teams clashed as the first round began. The Manati' Tenete (Think Quaterback) had the ball and was piercing through the compitition. People was eccsatic as the protector came out to try and stop him from making a shot. The tenente kicked the ball over the protector and kneed him right in the gut.The ball landed on the other side of the protector and the tenete kicked it into the hoop. The crowd cheered as the tenente did a small dance for the crowd.

"That is Julio DaMarques. He is the top Tenente of the Manati's. Very few people can stop him from scoring," said Eduardo.

The protector got up and walked towards the tenente, ready to fight. The Manati's however, gathered around Julio to protect him. The Coyotls called over the protector and talked to him. He nodded and went back to his hoop. O boy, thought Ed. This won't be good.

The game continued as the Manati's still had the ball. The men passed it between each other, weaving between legs and hips and shoulders. The tenente from the Coyotls came at one player with the ball, but he passed it to Julio before he took the ball. Julio ran through the man and towards the second protector, not seeing the one he kneed coming at him.

WHAAP!!

Julio screamed in pain as the protector kicked his shins. The other one came by and as he kicked the ball, punch him in the kidneys very hard. Julio fell to the ground screaming in agony as the Coyotls scored the Manati's goal. The crowd cheered, but the Manati' fans were pissed. They began rushing down onto the field, yelling and screaming in anger. The guards rushed in and chased out the fans quickily. The tenente on the Coyotls looked up at the reserve seats and saw Emma and Eduardo. He winked at Emma and blew her a kiss. Eduardo scowled at him. Damn you Raúl. Always playing the ladies man...Ed calmed down as he looked at Emma. It's ok, he thought. She wouldn't like a jerk like him anyway.

''What's after this on our agenda?'' Emma asked nicely.

"Well, there will be a concert and tomorrow, the Capoeira group will be performing for the country.

They continued to watch the game as round two set in. The score was 2 to 2.

Emma saw the cheering crowds and felt the intensity of the game. ''This all makes me want to play Batey more!'' Emma said to Eduardo. Emma listened to everything Eduardo told her and she watched the game with an eagle's eye. When Raul blew her a kiss, she tried to not make Eduardo feel anything was going on. ''Eduardo, these crowds are like the Nika Riots in which Emperor Justinian was involved. Perhaps I'll tell you the story one time.'' Emma said.

''A concert sounds nice. I'm sure your nation's music will be played.'' Emma said.

She continued to watch the game, liking how intense it was.

Julio was carried out of the game on a stretcher. The Coyotls were jeering at the Manati's for the loss of their tenente. The teams huddled and made their plans.

It was Coyotl's ball.

The ball was passed to Raúl, then passed to the wingman on the left. The wingman weaved around the Manati' defense and feigned a kick towards the hoop and instead passed back to Raúl. The protector on the Manati' tried to run back to the hoop but Raúl kicked the ball right into the hoop. Another 2 points for the Coyotls. Raúl went up to the protector and push straight on the ground and spit on him. The protector got up and came after Raúl, only to be met with the rest of the team. He backed down, knowing he couldn't take them.

The Manati's needed to play defense better. Their new tenente was a rookie but he had been there for the team before. The ball was kicked to Raúl as his wingmen ran past the Manati's. Taking a luck shot, Raúl kicked the ball to the wingman closest to the Manati' hoop when BAMM, the protector drop kicked the wingman right in the chest. The man went down. Hard. The ball was now the Manati's. They swept right through the Coyotls and scored another goal.

It was still tied 4 to 4 and nearing the end of the second round. Raúl kept making some passes at Emma, but Eduardo didn't let it bother him. Mostly.

Emma liked Batey, to her it was an extreme or intense form of soccer. She noticed Raul make passes to her but she did not mind it. ''Eduardo, this is a fun game. Perhaps I can play on a team and be the first female player of Batey.'' Emma said as she watched and cheered.

''Eduardo, that player seems to like me, almost like you do.'' Emma said, pointing at Raul.

She continued watching, hoping to play Batey one day.

Damn you Raúl...thought Eduardo...take it easy Ed, no problem.

"Yeah, he is just a flirt," replied Eduardo. "Are you sure you want to learn Batey? I mean it is fun but the pros are very violent." Eduardo was worried that she might get hurt. Or worse. It wasnt uncommon that a game would be the last one for someone...

The final round was in.

"The score istied 8 to 8 because of some incredible shots by both Raúl and the rookie, Miguel de la Cometa!!" yelled the announcer. "It is judgement day now for these two teams. With only 30 seconds on the clock, they better work fast!!"

The teams were ready. No matter what dirty tricks were pulled, they had definately fought their hardest. The whistle was blown.

The ball went to Miguel. He ran and passed the ball to the wingman, who passed it over to the blocker. The blocker just tackled straight through two men when he saw Raúl coming around to try and take the ball. He immediately passed it on to Miguel, who was almost at the hoop. And thats when it happened. No one else noticed it except for Eduardo. No, he thought, not that you son of a...

Raúl put his hand in his pocket and took it out. On his fist were a pair of sharp brass knuckles.

"No dammit no!!!" Eduardo yelled at the top of his lungs but it was deafened by the sea of cheering. Raúl grabbed Miguel's long hair and punched him right in the kidney. Eduardo saw the face Miguel made as he landed on the ground. As an added insult, Raúl stepped on his face as he took the ball for the winning goal.

The Coyotls had won, 10 to 8. Many of the Manati' fans were pissed at the upseting loss and rushed the stadium. The other fans met the challenge and ran to the field to fight the rest of the fans.

"Looks like another barnburner here at Dioyoquetzios Stadium. Seems the best part of every Batey game is the riot at the end!!" yelled the announcer.

"We need to go Emma," said Eduardo urgently. He knew all too well the violence that goes on in these type of games. He looked back and saw the paramedics next to Miguel. They were shaking their heads. He wasn't going to make it. And if he was...he wouldn't be playing anymore...

Emma and Eduardo stepped out of the stadium, already a mass pandemonium. He was relieved that he got Emma out of there. Ed turned to her and asked, "You wanna go to the aftergame party?"

''I would still like to learn Batey. I understand the risks of it all, I know if it may send me to St. Cephas at the Gates.'' Emma said. ''Eduardo, Raul just attacked the rookie!'' Emma said, looking at the rookie fall in pain. Emma went with Eduardo, trying to get through the fighting crowds which she said reminded her of soccer games.

''Sure, let's go to the aftergame party. Perhaps it will be like it was in the game, eh?'' Emma said, having fun with Eduardo.

Emma did wonder though if Raul would try to meet with her but she did not mind, she was with Eduardo, whom she loved.

''Eduardo, that was an intense game. It reminded me of my soccer games as a child.'' Emma said, remembering her days as a star player for her team.

"Yeah, he did more than that," Eduardo said. "He crippled him for life." Eduardo knew of Raúl's dirty tricks all too well.

The aftergame party was huge. Food and drinks were served everywhere for everyone. Everything from Guava Juice to Tequilia was at the place. Eduardo bought Emma and himself some Guava Juice.

"Here, its delicious," he said. "It's also good for you." Eduardo smiled again. He could chill out now and not worry about...

Raúl was talking to his teammates about their recent victory.

"You see what I did to those M tenentes!?!" bragged Raúl with the rest of his teammates, "Yeah, they are gonna think twice about messing with us Coyotls!!" The team howled, as was their trademark.

"Hey Raúl, remember that girl you were eying up at the stands?" asked one of his wingmen.

"Yeah puto? What about her?"

"Well she is over there with some guy," he pointed to Eduardo and Emma there.

Raúl licked his lips and said "mmmmMMm!! Looks like we got ourselves some Xocolatlblanca here! And she seems to have somehow hooked up with our old friend Pena"

Raúl and two of his wingmen walked up to Emma and Eduardo. Eduardo turned and saw them come his way. Damn...

"Hey Emma, we should probably go find your dad before..." He was interrupted

"PENA!! It has been a long time amigo!!" yelled Raúl with a false smile.

"Not long enough," Eduardo retorted.

"Aw, now is that anyway to treat an old friend?" asked Raúl.

Emma liked the party, taking a glass from Eduardo. She may have noticed Raul and his compatriots.

''Find my father before what?'' Emma asked as Eduardo was cut off.

When he came over, Emma said ''You must be Raul, the one who attacked that rookie in the game.'' Emma then looked at Eduardo and said ''You two know each other?''

''This Raul must have been the one looking at me through the game.'' Emma thought to herself.

Emma looked at the group, wondering to see how this would all turn out.

"Old friend? You mean like when you would take the cash from me whenever I made my deliveries on time!?! Or how about when you pulled that brass knuckle stunt on one of my students at the orphanage!?!" said Eduardo a little louder.

"Well now, you have no proof over that. I wasn't there at all. I was with my team practicing," said Raúl calmly.

"Practicing what, your date rape schemes?" replied Eduardo sarcastically.

"You'd better watch yourself. Alot of old gang members are still mad at you for how you sold us out. I might need to take care of their problem, if you know what I mean."

Eduardo just breathe heavy and said to Emma, "Let's get going."

"Now aren't you going to introduce us?" Raúl asked while stepping closer. He took Emma's hand and kissed it right in front of Eduardo.

"Now, this girl is way to good for you Pena," Raúl said to Eduardo. "I think I should take her home and show her what a real man can do." Raúl grabbed her hand when Eduardo grabbed his arm and tore it away from her.

"I suggest not laying another finger on her!" Eduardo demanded.

Raúl smiled and put his right hand in his pocket. "Now now Pena, why did you go and do that?" He struck.

Eduardo dodged the brass knuckles and grabbed the arm. He kneed Raúl in the stomach and as Raúl bent over, Eduardo hooked the arm and rolled over his back, slamming Raúl face first and dislocating his arm.

Raúl got up in pain and motioned for his two wingmen to take out Eduardo and steal Emma.

Eduardo nodded at Emma. It was time to fight.

''You attacked an orphan?'' Emma said not that loud, shocked someone would do that.

Emma listened to the entire conversation. When Raul kissed her hand, Emma became nervous, especially at his statements. Emma backed away a little, trying to get away from the wingmen of Raul. Emma uttered some prayers and watched the fight. She knew that her father would step in, especially if they took her.

Emma respected Eduardo for sticking up for her, she respected that.

So she watched the fighting, hoping Eduardo would do good. Emma was also worried somewhat about Eduardo's statement on Raul's date rape schemes.

The wingmen grabbed some bottles and attacked Ed. He dodged the first bottle and kicked the first one right in the jaw, but the second guy got him on the back with the bottle. It hurt like hell.

Ed just got even angrier. The wingman that was hit in the jaw came again at Ed but Eduardo was too fast. The wingman kicked and Ed ducked right under it. As the leg was still over Ed, he stood up, knocking the man off his feet. He turned to the other one. This wingman had a knife on him. He started slicing at Eduardo while Ed was dodging the cut. The man tried to stab Ed overhandedly, but Ed caught the arm and with some torquing, broke the man's arm.

"Ok, lets get our of here Emma," said Eduardo worryingly, but Raúul already took a blade out and came between them.

"C'mon Ed, you know you want to fight me. Here, if you win, you get to keep your pretty little Xocolatlblanca, but if I win, then I get to have her. And I promise to be very rough with her and make her call me her daddy," Raúl knew if he pissed off Eduardo enough he would lose.

But Ed knew his plan. Ed closed his eyes and calmed down. He had to win this fight or else. Raúl saw his eyes closed and struck

"Big mistake!!" Raúl struck at Eduardo. Ed dodged but it clipped his left arm. Eduardo kicked Raúul but Raúl caught the kick. Just what Ed wanted. He grabbed Raúl's head and headbutted him right on the nose three times, then dropped himself to the ground and, with his legs in a scissorhold around Raúl's legs, turned and tripped Raúl, making him hit back first into a table. Eduardo got up and said

"You could never keep up with me. C'mon Emma, we had better get you to safety. I can't take on the entire Coyotl team, even if they are drunk." He grabbed his left arm and walked Emma out of the party,

Emma watched the entire fight, amazed at how well Eduardo was. Emma was worried about being tooken by Raul, fearing how rough he would be towards her.

After the fight, Emma said ''Eduardo, that was amazing! It was amazing how you beat them in the fight. However, I think they could follow us or hunt us down.'' Emma said.

''Eduardo, I still love and respect you but is it true what Raul said? Were you in his gang?'' Emma said. She would still love him regardless of his answer.

As they walked, Emma held on to Eduardo, thankful to God that they were safe and to Eduardo for protecting her.

Eduardo took Emma through the backsteets of the city until he was sure they couldn't have been followed. He sat down next to Emma and said, "Ok let me tell you a little more about my past."

"See, Since birth I was adopted by the largest gang in the country, Las Arañas Negras. They had me be their errand boy for their drugs, money, and weapons. I had no choice because they kept me alive, even if the life was hell. It is very different in the Barrios (ghettos)." He rolled up his right sleeve to show a tatto that said PENA.

"The government was still new and they were having trouble dealing with these gangs. Anyway, I knew Raúl as an 'associate' only. I usually had to give him his steroids and money but sometimes he would receive date rape drugs from my shipments. I hated myself for it everyday, knowing that another girl was being hurt because of me. Besides delivery, I had to fight in tournaments against other fighters that played for keeps. Whoever won lived. Finally, I left for Geneticon a year ago to marry someone, but I was turned down. When I got back, I got a chance to meet with our ruler and I told him about the gang's grip on my city. He acted quickly and with my help, we broke up the gang and arrested almost everyone in it. Except Raúl obviously. He had his bases covered and had his allibies in check. But I never forgave him for what he did to those women."

''That is a very rough life, Eduardo. I thank God knowing I did not suffer in my childhood or anything. I also hope God's hands guide you through the rest of your life.'' Emma said.

''When you told the rulers of this land everything, did you feel that the gang would try to get you for what you did? I mean, they would have tried to get you for telling the authorities.'' Emma stated.

Emma listened to the story, wiping some tears from her eyes. ''Eduardo, Raul said he would take me and be very rough on me and make me call him my daddy. I was very worried when he said that, I don't want to get hurt or anything.'' Emma said.

''What should we do now? I think we should tell my father what happened. He won't get mad at you, knowing that you protected me, he will thank you.'' Emma said.

They found Joseph and Emma said ''Hello, father.'' Joseph looked at Eduardo and said ''Emma, greetings. Eduardo, you look beaten up. Did someone try to get to you two?''

Joseph looked at Eduardo, hoping to know what happened.

Eduardo still had his cut covered. He should probably get it bandaged up before it got infected.

He took a deep breath and told Joseph and Shamo what had happened to them at the party. Eduardo prepared for the worst.

In the Observatorio de Jurakán, the scientists were watching closely at the tropical storm system that had already formed into a Category 1 hurricane. The path was still erratic but it seemed that the hurricane might hit the island nation.

Joseph thought for a while before placing his hand on Eduardo's shoulder. ''Eduardo....God bless you. I thank you for protecting my daughter from those people.'' Joseph said, relieving Eduardo that Joseph would go back home with Emma and not let Eduardo see her.

''Did you feel that I would forbid your relationship with Emma? That is not the case. You and Emma can still be with each other.'' Joseph reassured Eduardo.

''Eduardo, what can we do now?'' Emma asked Eduardo.

Eduardo breathed a sigh of relief. Shamo went up to him and saw his arm was cut. They began conversing in their native languages. Shamo wrapped the wound up and said, "You got lucky this time, but you'd better be more careful."

"Alright, well it is midnight and we should probably head to the hotel and check in. Tomorrow we can show you all the Suelo Rocoso Range and the Ohuican Chaneque Cu'." said Eduardo.

The group went to the hotel safely to sleep in the rooms.

Joseph and Emma were possibly excited as they went to their hotel rooms.

When Eduardo was in his room at night, Emma came to him. ''Eduardo, thank you for protecting me from Raul and his wingmen. God bless you.'' Emma said before giving him a kiss and leaving.

The next day, Joseph and Emma got changed, ready to go see the attractions of Eduardo's nation.

Eduardo warned them to wear some shorts, but to have something warm as the mountains could get cold.

He got a bus so that they could ride throught the rainforests of Ohuican Chaneque Cu' the next day. After that they could see the Suelo Rocoso Range.

''This is amazing!'' Emma said viewing the rainforest. Joseph admired the scenery. Emma whispered to Eduardo ''Eduardo, do you think Raul will try to look for us?''

Meanwhile, Emma and Joseph took pictures of the scenery, hoping to see everything.

''Thanks for doing this for us.'' Joseph said to Eduardo.

They were riding through the Ohuican Chaneque Cu'.

The bus stopped and the group got off. Eduardo led them through the forest on foot.

"Here take this," he gave the group a strange liquid that smelled very sweet. "This is a liquid that repels the Xmulzencab."

They took the liquid and Emma asked ''What is the Xmulzencab?'' They walked with Eduardo, admiring the scenery of the rainforest.

"Xmulzencabs are fearsome gods of the bees that many of the Old Ways believe in. They are beings made from a swarm of killer bees that attack those who harm the forest and are wicked in their ways. This liquid is a repellant against the bees," said Eduardo.

Emma and Joseph nodded and kept the liquid close to them. ''Eduardo, where are we going? Where are we walking to?'' Emma asked, holding Eduardo's hand. Eduardo could see Joseph's small smile, Joseph was ok with Emma and Eduardo.

Eduardo took them deep into the rain forest. It was the most beautiful place they had ever seen with flowers of all sorts of bright colors

"This is a very delicious crayfish," he said. "After we cook it you guys have to try it."

Shamo began setting up camp and Eduardo and Emma walked nearby with Ed showing her the plants and animals.

"See that over there? That's the jaguar (http://www.worldlandtrust.org/images/animals/mammals/jaguarprowling.jpg). It is a very beautiful but dangerous cat, especially if it is defending her cubs, so we had better stay back."

"In that river is said to be the legendary Caguama. He is a large sea turtle that comes around this forest and protects it from people who would harm it. It is said that it is bigger than a tank."

The pressure was dropping rapidly around the sea as winds picked up to 150 mph and rising. The eye was strange, having its own seperate cyclonic motion. A ship had gotten caught in the storm. The crew was trying to buckle down and brace for the waves, but it was too much. One of the crewmen began having headaches.

"What's wrong?" said one.

"I don't know, but my ears are popping like crazy!"

"Mine too!"

The crew men began covering their ears in sheer pain. This was a sign of one thimg. The pressure was dropping fast.

"What is that noise?" asked one of the crewmen.

"I don't know. It is like a huge roar. Almost like a..."

The ship was engulfed under the massive tidal wave that crashed into them.


The observatory had some alarming news. In the previous hour the pressure had dropped insanely to 900 mb and the windspeed had risen to 220 mph, making the storm a category 5. The pressure was continuing to drop insanely. And the storm, now nicknamed Jurakán, was headed straight for the country.

Emma listened to all Eduardo said. She was amazed and fasicinated at the rainforest. She admired the scenery, holding Eduardo close to her so he could see how grateful she was to him.

''Maybe I will see the Tank-Sized Turtle?'' Emma said as she walked through the rainforest.

Meanwhile, Joseph was studying the rainforest, writing things down in his notebook.

Eduardo laughed. "Naw, it is just a legend. There isn't really a turtle that large. We haven't found one anyway."

They continued walking as Eduardo told her about how the forest got its name.

"The name means 'Sacred Land of the Forest Spirits'," said Eduardo. "This place is a magical place that many people believe has young guardins, called the Ohuican Chaneque. This is their home and with the help of the bee gods and the turtle, they keep it safe for generations to come. People have claimed to have seen these young forest spirits, but I don't believe them. Still, it is nice to think about it." He smiled and wrapped his arm around her as they sat and watched the scenery.

Emma listened to the entire story, enjoying her time with Eduardo. ''Legends are always filled with surprises.'' Emma said.

Emma held Eduardo to her, giving him a nice kiss before turning to look at the scenery again.

''Shall we continue?'' Emma said, getting up and helping Eduardo up as well.

Shamo kept the crayfish in a sac and would cook them a little later. They were going to need the food after they spent the night in the mountain town of Tierra, just on the base of the Suelo Rocoso mountains.

Eduardo and Emma came back. It was already afternoon and they were ready to head towards Tierra. They packed up and began to walk down there.

Eduardo heard a noise in the forest. It sounded like something or someone was running this way. Ed put his arm in front of Emma to protect her and prepared for the worst.

Raúl and a couple of his wingmen ran out of the forest and into the clearing. Eduardo took out the survival knife. But they weren't chasing after Eduardo. No, they were running...from the Xmulzencab. Raúl was screaming in pain as the bees swarmed around him and his wingmates. He jumped into the water to get rid of them. The two wingmates collapsed on the ground from the sheer pain and would soon die. Raúl stayed in the water and yelled at Eduardo.

"You got lucky this time!!" he shouted. "You better watch your back, or else..." Something moved in the water. Raúl looked under him and screamed "Caguama!!" He swarm out of the water as fast as he could, but the creature already bit his hand and took some fingers with it. He ran into the forest screaming. He wouldn't make it, Eduardo said.

"I guess this is the legendary Caguama," said Eduardo jokingly. "She is a beauty."

"How can you tell that is a girl?" asked Emma

Eduardo pointed at the mound near the turtle. "That has to be her nest. She probably comes here to lay here eggs. I wonder if she is the only...look!!" The group saw more of the huge sea turtles coming to the lake, more than likely to lay eggs. Shamo took pictures of this rare event. This was very beautiful.

"Well, we had better get going if we want to make it to my home in Tierra," said Eduardo. The group continued onwards towards the mountains. They wouldn't climb it because they don't have the proper gear. But who knows, maybe another time.

Hurricane Jurakán was nearing the coast. It was still at least a week away from the island and it had calmed a bit from a Category 5 to a Category 4. But there was signs of a low-pressure through crossing paths with the storm, which would have it regain the strength.

Emma saw Raul and was shocked to see him and his wingmen but amazed to see them running. Emma saw the sea turtle and was amazed by it, she petted it, showing it affection. Emma enjoyed her time with Eduardo. She nodded and they went to Eduardo's home in Tierra.

The group had finally made it to Tierra (http://www.taino-tribe.org/aibo05.jpg). It was a small village nestled in the rainforest/mountain area of the Suelo Rocoso Range where the mountains met with the lush forest. To the distance was Mt. Fuego de Montaña, the dormant volcano on the island. It has not erupted in over three centuries and many considered it to be extinct.

The village people welcomed the group in open arms. Many people here had never seen anyone outside of the country and were amazed at Emma and Joseph. Many of the children were touching Emma to feel here soft skin. A couple of the men looked with interest, but only when their wives weren't looking.

Eduardo showed them to his house (http://www.taino-tribe.org/caney1.jpg), then realizing that he had never cleaned it. Nervous, he opened the door to show that the place was very clean. He turned around to see some of the villagers smiling. He smiled back and waved and took Emma and the group inside.

Emma greeted the village people and showed affection to the children. Joseph too greeted them. As they went inside, Emma said ''Eduardo, this is a cozy house.'' Joseph nodded in agreement. ''I think we should rest. I am getting thirsty as well, my throat is dry.'' Emma said.

Eduardo went into his refridgerator and took out some orange juice and Mabi' juice for them. He served it and gave it to Emma and her father.

Tierra was very different from La Ciudad de Azure. It was quieter than the big city, but it could be seen that they too were celebrating Jurakán's arrival. As the group drank, Eduardo could hear the children outside screaming. He and Emma walked outside to see that the village was staring at the sky towards the range. There in the sky were the most beautiful lenticular (http://home.europa.com/~maevsec/magpie/lenticular_hawaii_small.jpg) clouds over the mountains. They were golden and disc like, almost like a stack of saucers. The village awed at them and called them "Las Niñas de Jurakán."

"The villagers believe these clouds to be the children of Jurakán and Monzón, taking attributes from both parents," explained Eduardo. "They are beautiful to look at like Monzón, but are violent clouds like Jurakán. See, there are formed by the warm air coming from the sea and across the southern coast towardsthe mountains. That is the monsoon, or Monzón, the goddess of the breeze and rains. When the air cycles over the mountain, it stays level with the peaks and begin moving in like a cycle form, making the clouds. But no one can fly towards the clouds or they will be ripped apart."

''The city is smaller than the capital but more people seem to be lively and the city is more vibrant.'' Emma said. ''What great clouds! Surely one of God's creations!'' Emma said amazed at the sight of the clouds. ''You must know a lot of the stories of your lands.'' Emma said after hearing Eduardo's story on the clouds.

''Let's go for a tour of the city.'' Emma suggested.

There were children playing with their pet dog around a corner and afar were some kids playing Batey. Eduardo turned to Emma and said, "Are you still up for learning how to play Batey?"

''Of course I still want to play batey!'' Emma said. ''Perhaps one day I can be a professional batey player, like that Raul.'' Emma stated.

Eduardo took Emma and some children to a big clearing that was marked with lines, similar to a soccer field.

"Ok, the game of Batey is very similar to soccer, except there are three hoops you have to hit the ball through," said Eduardo. "Also, you have to be pretty aggressive in the professional league, but this is a friendly game so there won't be any fights."

Eduardo kicked the ball up and towards Emma. "Play ball!!"

"Ok, the game of Batey is very similar to soccer, except there are three hoops you have to hit the ball through," said Eduardo. "Also, you have to be pretty aggressive in the professional league, but this is a friendly game so there won't be any fights."

Eduardo kicked the ball up and towards Emma. "Play ball!!"

''Are any women pro players?'' Emma asked as they played. Emma did excellently, getting multiple goals over Eduardo. Finally, after the game, Emma sat down to rest and relax after a good game of Batey. ''Great game.'' Emma said nicely. She smiled at Eduardo and said ''Thank you for letting me play Batey with you and the kids.''

Eduardo didn't expect Emma to be so good at Batey ball. The children also enjoyed playing with her. He was happy. Usually, people from Tierra are very withdrawn from foreigners since the Edoniakistanbabweaguan War of Liberation, only 7 years ago.

Eduardo got mad and said "No way!! I am not going!! You know about how I feel about San Acero!!"

Eduardo took Shamo to the next room and spoke with his master angrily.

"Shamo, San Acero is the worst city in this country. You know about the gangs that rule that place. It's still ruled by remanents of the Arañas Negras which are still strong down there, as well as their rivals the Triads and the Yakuza. And don't even get me started with the other gangs down there," yelled Eduardo.

Shamo waited for Ed to calm down. "You know the leader of the Arañas?"

"Yeah"

"They caught him."

Eduardo sat down. The cops had always been under the thumb of that gang and now they had given him up. Ed smiled and said "Ok, but we need to talk it over with Emma and Her father first, ok?"

"Ok."

Eduardo took Shamo to the next room and spoke with his master angrily.

When Emma saw Eduardo and Shamo leave, she wanted to follow him and so she did. After Ed and Shamo were done talking, Emma came in where they were. ''Is everything alright, Eduardo?'' Emma asked kindly, so as not to be rude in case their discussion was on something important.

Outside, Emma's father was doing pretty good in batey. Emma's father was enjoying his time out of politics, though soon he would be back, managing the state he ruled.

Emma held Eduardo's hand and they walked back outside. Since Ed needed to talk to Emma and her father, now would be a good time.

Ed sat with Emma outside as dusk was approaching. He was prepared to tell her about where they were headed to.

"Emma, Shamo has told me that we are going to preform some Capoeira in a city call San Acero," said Eduardo. "The problem is, San Acero isn't a good place to be. He told me that they have apprehended the main crime lord of the Arañas Negras branch down in the cty and his trial is in two days. His thugs and lieutenants are slowly being caught, so it may be safer. I want to warn you about this citty and that you and your father has to stay near us to be safe." He stared into her eyes, waiting for a response.

Emma listened to what Eduardo said and then replied ''I understand, my fathe and I will stay with you and Shamo so nothing goes wrong.'' Just then, Joseph came to Eduardo and greeted him. ''Is everything alright?'' Joseph asked. Then, he excused himself, as the children wanting him to play still in batey.

Brigham Young was sitting on the benches, thinking. He did not seem that wanting to do much right now, though as a head offical of Joseph, he did well in his work.
