Earlhamland

The following post is totally OOC
For those of you whom did not see my introduction post, my nation has undergone a Coup D'etat after the head of the Armed Forces, John Earlham, ousted the unpopular civilian administration and installed himself as Generalissimo at the head of a military government. Earlham, the descendent of the original President of the Most Serene Republic for which the country is named, has promised that democratic elections would be organised once the internal civil unrest caused by the past Administration's unpopularity and bungled policies dies down.
However, this is not what will happen; the Generalissimo will be using this time to strengthen his power base and remove all opposition in the face of installing himself as the autocratic dictator of the country. This is going to be done through the Top Secret "Operation Long Knives", named after the turning point in Nazi Germany where Hitler purged the SA and effectively removed all opposition.
"Long Knives" involves the following:
-> Phase One: Establishment of Military Government and Imposition of Martial Law to control the population - (Currently underway.)
-> Phase Two: Arrest and subsequent execution of potential opponents to military rule - These include the leaders and executives of the major political parties within Earlhamland, several high-ranking pro-Democracy military officers, the members of the Supreme Court and a number of Representatives from the now suspended Senate.
-> Phase Three: The establishment of a political party to give the military government a civilian facade, with Generalissimo Earlham as Party Leader and high-ranking military officers as its Executive.
-> Phase Four: The banning of all opposition political parties and pressure groups to this newly formed Party, and the subsequent holding of elections for the Senate with supporters of the government standing for positions.
Phase Five: The appointment of supporters of the new government to the Supreme Court, effectively rendering the Legislative and the Judicial branches of the new government as subordinate 'Rubber Stamp' bodies for the Executive.
The idea I had for an RP is as follows: Somebody (perhaps two people maximum working together, but no more) gets a hold of this document through means that we can work out in the planning of this RP. They then attempt to escape the country through the imposed Martial Law to expose this to the world (although I still intend to do all this if they do escape, but the rest of the world will at least know what is going on.) My role would be of the people chasing them through the country, thus allowing me to develop the characters of some of my Government. It also allows the participants to do the same with new characters, or re-use some old favourites who perhaps haven't featured much recently in current RPs.
So, anyone interested (two people maximum please, who don't mind working together) please respond here. Then we can use this thread to plan the basics of what is going to happen (so as to avoid arguments and confusion when writing) and work from that.
