Questers

[OOC: It's a pity really. This ranks alongside my Illustrious CVCN as my longest using ship, if anyone from lineartinc can remember I was drawing this thing way back in August 05 :x Still, all good things come to an end, I suppose.]
The Royal Navy has announced today that it will be phasing out some of the most famous warships in Questarian history - the acclaimed 'Warspite' class heavy battleships. The class of eighteen previously consisted of nine ships, and was expanded to fit the increasing fleet count. The latest completed is HM Ship Whirlwind, finished in dockyards early last year and commissioned only two months ago. The ships will either be sold off to other nations or laid up and scrapped for their parts. The city of Scarborough, the city assosciated with HMS Warspite, which was sunk several months ago in a confrontation with MassPwnage, have requested one to be kept for a museum ship. However, even with 30,000 signatures, the petition failed and all remaining seventeen vessels are to be decommissioned within six years.
To replace them, the Glorious superbattleship will be built and commissioned. Although details are sketchy at the moment, it is expected by the time each Warspite is decomissioned, a Glorious will already have been commissioned and assigned to fill its place. The first Glorious - obviously named HMS Glorious has already been laid down at Barrow in Furness. She will be transffered to Portsmouth later this year to be fitted with the neccessery equipment.
