Nicknamed the "Car of the Future," this car offers ample capacity, and allows additional protection from temperature extremes. Insulated boxcars are popular with wine, liquor, beer and grocery shippers. A 60-ft. double door boxcar with cushioned underframe which can be used for loading plywood, particleboard, or various paper products.

Boxcar with non-cushioned underframe which can be used for loading non-perishable food products such as boxed cereal or bagged flour mill products. These are sized to accommodate stacking parts racks supplied by auto manufacturers. Depending upon the shipper's requirements, these cars can easily be equipped with load dividers or damage free (DF) equipment used for restraining racks.
