State department letter:

The United States has long been ignoring nations that claim to be descended from “ascendant” beings, such arrogance is rather annoying and troubling , our government, our people and congress will now declare out views of them.

We as a nation find these arrogant claims to be useless and just to be a show of” non excitant power” While we ignored this in the past, we will not any more, our intentions are to in this letter claim that we think these claims are nothing but unfounded speculation, and rumor, mean while our government will not do any aggressive natured maneuvers to these nations unless it is challenged first, but be warned the united states will not tolerate, such arrogance when they attempt to attack the USFU or its allies, the fully military might of the union will be placed upon them if they attempt to undermine any thing the United States try’s to do.

With this stated, we would like to see the mature responses from these nations.

The Alliance fully supports the Federal Union in this. These so called "ascended beings" are a thorn in the side of all right minded and reasonable thinking people. While it is our belief that stamping them out, root and branch, would be a better choice, we respect your decision.

Isn't this a big claim? Surely you have evidence to back this up? Surely you have proven no creature can understand physics so well they are mearly its playthings? If not, then don't discredit it. You seem to believe because you can not achive it this is not possible.

Also, I wonder of your Maturity if you make a galatic announcment that your going to Send out a message saying you will attack nations that attack you weather they are Acended or Not.

I have to agree. Any race that claims to be entirely ascended (Valshare, you have one single ascended being, a 'hero' unit, as such, which is an entirely different matter), is annoying, and, for the most part, pathetic. We support the Fedral Union in this statement.

The United States, Is rather relived that at least some nations agree with this statement, it is no a threat per say just a warning, at any rate Valshare, our government isn’t about to humor your notions, and I doubt any one can achieve such a level of evolution with out heavy use of technology, and it seem most ascendance nations technology are rather primitive to be making such claims.

Your statement was nothing more than an evasion of the true issue, Your statement is one of the most confusing and convoluted ever placed in to a discussion, due to the fact that it was meant to evade the issue, we have had some reports however, that you have in-fact did what you claim to have not done, but we will leave that to other nations to decide.

Amusement rippled through the Miehmish government. The SeaQuestians were some of the most arrogant so called "ancient" beings in existence, their declaring support for this was VERY similar to an old idiom, something about a pot and a kettle....

The United States, while not a warlike nation can construed this as a threat, and we say again any attempt to undermine us or our allies will result in immediate military action.

While you may not think us “worthy” of what ever undignified rather insane like religion you hold, dose not mean you have the last word, we make our own destiny, you may not like it our or way of life, but it’s the simple fact that if you attempt to change it in any way, hostility will arise between our two nations.

Inside the response is the full attachment of a .pdf file of the Asbenian Holy Book, what appears to be a continued version of the Koran and Holy Bible with tons of extra gospels and works.

As they read through the rest of the replies, the ones from Asbena brought even more chuckles than the one from SeaQuest... Calling them sinners because they did not fit their idea of "religion" was rather amusing. A simple reply was sent off to the fools:

Fundamentally the Imperium agrees with the treatise that 'Ascended' nations are arrogant beings seeking power without the logical will or ability to control it. What use are those fetid beings who desert our own plane; and then seek to command it? Like the Oracles and the Exarchs of old who sought the Supernal World for themselves; these ascended fools shall bring only ruin and destruction upon themselves and others.

The Imperium recognises no force grander than the divine Emperor Remiel himself, and no force grander than the infinite and manifold glories of Chaos. The bloodlust of Khorne, the Pleasure of Slaanesh, the diseased blessings of Nurgle and the machinations of Tzeentch. The patronage and maleficient love of Lord Arioch, and eternal service to glorious Pyaray. These are the Gods we venerate; these are the true Powers ascendant.

The Theocracy does not believe in ascended beings. There are many types of beings, some with outlandish claims, yes, but No real ascendid being, whether they be evil, or good, Lawful, or evil, living, or dead. To ascend, is to become one with the Creation Spirit, and therefore cease to exist. Thus, an existing being, cannot decend from a Non-existant being, as there is only one spirit of all Creation.

This is our opinion, and we are sticking to it.

(OOC: I personally take the view that those claiming to be 'ascendant' are anything but. Ascendance, I suppose, means almost infinite power, but once ascended there's no good reason to get involved with the spaceship zapping, etc. Ascendance would either be transcendence, in which case you've got no reason to interfere, or the information in pure energy, in which case you've still got no reason to interfere.

In NS terms, ascendance effectively means your people have ceased to play a part in the galactic play of nations. You'd be a Type III or better, and returning to play about with 'mere mortals' would probably be the sport of a single sick, deranged mind.)

Whilst we of the Hakurabi hold ascendance to be a truth as a finality, should we exist until then, we also find the claims of those claiming to be 'ascendants' as overly arrogant and utterly false. If any one of them are truly ascendant, in all likelihood they would be creations or projections of a sadistic member of their species.

We hold that the aforementioned 'ascendants' are indeed only those who have yet to take even a first step on the journey and wish to proclaim their greatness.
