Civil War Intensifies in Ireland [MT, Open]
Liberated New Ireland

Isle of Ireland News
For the past twenty years, the word Ireland has been, to many people, synonomous with riots and civil strife. Yesterday, however, the widespread violence on the isle intensified when a border war broke out between County Limerick, AKA the People's Republic of Liberated New Ireland, and Counties Kerry and Clare, AKA the Republic of Eire.
In addition, there was much internal violence in the PRLNI, when members of the Private Sector political party, and foreign representatives of the Wal-Mart, Hormel, and Coca-Cola were murdered. The government of the PRLNI has not condemned the murders, and refuses to comment on it. People in the region apprehensively await the world community's reaction to the violence.

The Advisor, name Fri'Geer Hel'Thon, was on his noirmal routine job. Viewing the news, to see if any issues PYthogria would be interested in would come up. One did.
"Let's see... Oil up $3.50, murderer jailed, nuclear testing... no, nothing to see there... wait... violence in Ireland? Civil war? Better let the General see this."
He got up and did the long walk from the Advisor's Quarters to the Supreme General's Room. He got there in two minutes. "Sir..." he said. "Ireland's had murders of several corporation representatives."
The General responded. "Hmm. We better look at this. Send in Team 45."
"Yes sir."
---Black Ops HQ---
Team 45 was loaded onto a stealth plane, and flown to Ireland.
"Okay, everyone. Our mission is to find out what the heck is going on in Ireland. We are to collect information and find out what is going on, covertly. Our Liscence to Kill rating is at 3/10. Questions?"
None were asked.
---Ireland---
The Agets were dropped just outside the town in which the murders were committed.

Yusef looked out onto the riotous streets, he smiled, he could use this opportunity to make some ranks in the Organisation, he walked over to his cellphone and pushed a few buttons, "Mr Brave, I have an opportunity for the leader." He stared into space awaiting a response, there was punsihing silence for a moment and then Yusef continued, "You see a nation has fallen into Civil war and this is a real nation, I know that you are closest to the Leader and therfore I know that you can tell him this great achievement, I await a call from him soon."

Captain Adam Kelly pored over action reports and messages from his spy network, wondering how he was going to get his country out of this mess. Jesus, why me? He sighed, and read the latest reports. The Third Kern Legion had been soundly defeated in County Clare, and there were reports that several organisations had sent spies to investigate.
He decided to try and make contact with some of them.

The airseaship closed in to Ireland. Onboard was Admiral Shirue of the Typhoon, the new admiral to replace Admiral Fernando when he retired to live with his Ensign/wife Patricia.
"Agent Wrath, there has been a situation," briefed the admiral. "There is a civil war erupting in Ireland. We get much of our trade there with Wal-Mart, etc. I need you to go in and check out the situation. Your mission are as followed:
Locate any resistence members
Find out if the enemy has any NBC capability to strike any other country
Disable any NBC you come across. Is that clear?"

Be forewarned, they possess Modern(by real standards) Russian ground equipment, they also have their own airforce of MiG-23s and a rather small navy of 'Zubr' Class Amphibious Assault Ships and 'Tarantul' class Corvettes whose primary purpose is to get them places.

A phone rang, Yusef was staring at it, waiting for the second ring, it rang again and he scooped it up, "Yusef." He spoke, expecting the Leader "Hello Viktor, I understand you have somthing for me?" The Leaders voice was deep and harsh through the phone "Yes, there is a large Civil war in LNI, there are some potentially Communist forces which I advise to keep clear-" He was interupted by the Leader "Yes, I am familiar with the situation at hand, that is Why I have sent along Akre to assist the cause." Yusef was stunned, Akre for such a small mission? "Sir, don't you think that you are being a little... nevermind, I await his arrival." The Leader was listening, "Good, he will be travelling via Cargo Crate and will find you."
Akre pulled down his hat and cocked his pistols, it was dark in the small hidden compartment at the back, he had his light on but it did little to help, he could read the reports on the nation until he arrived.

Their AK-630 Anti-Aircraft Guns and 76mm cannons were ready for combat incase of an air or PT boat attack. But their SS-N-22 Anti-Ship Missiles and SA-N-8 Surface-Air Missile were not, as the Mafia did not expect any serious, just incase, those latter two weapons could be quickly readied.

"These guys...they were in the same experiement as I was!" he exclaimed.
"Yes there were other creations in the SALIGIA project.
Project: SALIGIA
ENNUI: The first to be created in the SALIGIA project, he was deemed a failure because of his autism and laziness as well as accelerated aging. As the creation was going to be terminated, the people within the room all dove to sleep. After intense studies, it was shown that he emanated delta waves that induced people withing radius into a deep stage 3 sleep. Ennui is now used as "mental warfare" to tire out the soldiers so that army units can invade.
CARCAJOU: The second failure-turned-soldier and most grotesque, Carcajou is feral and the size of a horse. He consumes human flesh and can sense human blood for up to 1 km. Carcajou also has a "lateral line" on its spine to detect lifeforms.
DESPAIR: Known for his acute depression and anti-sociable behavior, he stays away from the rest of the group. He is very intellegent with an IQ of 190 and is usually recon. It is said that he can control the rain, but it isnt proven and so he is usually used for intel
PARANOIA: A sick and demented psychopath, his mind was under complete reconstruction after he was born. This gave him ESP and the ability to cause soldiers to have horrifying hallucinations from his own sick imagination, scaring them literally to death. He suffers from schizophrenia and extreme psychopathy.
CONCEIT: The genius and the strongest, Conceit has an IQ of 210, making him smarter than Despair. Add that to incredible strength and he is a force to be reckoned with.
ENMITY: He is hateful of everything and is only in this agency to kill anyone he wants. Enmity usually leads the squad, but now you are in charge. He has mild telekinesis and mind reading abilities.

Sirs,
Gwazzaria would like to open trade with the PRNLI sometime in the immediate future. We believe that our relationship will be mutually beneficial from the beginning, and that trade will greatly help your economy to mature. Gwazzaria is primarily a manufacturing state, and heavily reliant on the sea and hydroponics for our food. You, on the other hand, seem to be lacking modern mechanization in many areas and have a good deal of farming (specifically, cows).
Thusly, we would like to offer a beef-for-machines (my, the strange deals international commerce gives birth to) plan of trade. Your nation is within relatively close proximity, and it would be simple (using our modified cargo ships and helicopters) to conduct trade despite your being landlocked.
Looking forward to prosperity,

heres some basic information about my nation.
The Republic of Ustia is a small, pleasant nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 10 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. The average income tax rate is 22%. A substantial private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports, Soda Sales, and Retail industries.
Organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region, corporations donate huge sums of money to favored politicians, extreme political groups are outlawed, and punitive tariffs protect local industry. Crime is a problem. Ustia's national animal is the wardog and its currency is the credit

The Krastzburg, Gwazzaria's mightiest freighter, had last seen the outside of Gwazzarian waters after an extremely long solo foray out to Danteri. This trip was significantly shorter (and within the same hemisphere), and it was now at the head of a fleet of freighters. The Gwazzarian Sigil was displayed quite proudly on each of the ships.
Like many of Gwazzaria's higher-end freighters, it had had helipads rigged onto it and carried a compliment of heavy cargo helicopters. This time, those helicopters wouldn't be returning back to it - they were part of the freight. The rest of the ship was filled with machinery of varying types, ordered by the PRLNI. Agricultural machines, vehicles (including more helicopters), train cars, and even a few factory robots.
The fleet pulled in to dock at a port on the coast of Cork, from whence the commodity would be (what couldn't be flown) driven overland into the PRLNI.

A few minutes later, Captain Kelly woke up, his head throbbing, but he grinned irregardless. He pulled the tracker out of his pocket, and saw the glowing red dot that represented the man who knocked him out. He wasn't far off. Kelly dialed on his cell, and arranged for a car to pick him up.
OOC: Also, just FYI, Investigators in my government are usually just armed with wits, military service, hand-to-hand training, and a Browning 9mm.
OOC: Oh... here, I'll just have Agent 1 run if he wouldn't be that easy to knock down. I don't want to godmod.

Of course you can help. How you do so is your choice.
If you have military to spare, it would be appreciated if you sent some troops to fight the Republic of Eire. If not, economic aid would be most welcome.

OOC I have a couple questions.
Which is the faction I should be helping?
Which is bad?
THis is important for what Im gonna do after this post.
...
Wrath and his team were inside of the city. Wrath was above the city where he saw some one being arrested. He scoped in to see that is was a Pythogrian, but in a uniform he had never seen before. He snapped a pic and stuck it in a small computer on his SCIN (Stealth Camoflague and Interbiologial Networking) suit (OOC not invisible light bending. Its basically a black suit that helps reduce noise and deals with biological chemical processes to aid the wearer. THink Metal Gear Solid)
"Despair, I need intel on this unit," ordered Wrath.
"yes sir..." replied Despair slowly. After a minute he said, "He isn't in any Pythogrian Database, but I would say that he is Black Ops. Stay out of sight. If they caught him, they can catch you too. Keep that balaclava on in case you need to you need to use smoke grenades. Did you bring any thermite grenades>"
"Yeah, just in case I need to go sabotaging," replied Wrath. "How is the other team?"
"I lost contact with them a while ago, but it is radio silence for them," replied Despair.
Wrath had a bad feeling. Ok, I'll stay out of sight and watch what is going on. He took out a scope and attached the directional microphone to hear the convosation.

OOC: Good to see you back, Ed. Anyways, we kind of have a grey area here. Neither of the governments of the RoE or PRLNI are really bad (in fact, I consider the PRLNI to be good guys). However, there are certainly unscrupulous people in both governments (e.g., the people who ordered the hit on the board members.) I think you would be helping those people, and the other evil organizations (Toopoxia), given the nature of SCOPE. Plus, it would be better for the story, I believe.
Kelly and Murray looked at each other, and Kelly nodded. Murray took a left.
"We understand. Now, do you have any information on what other covert ops units are at work here? After all, when it rains, it pours."
Isle of Ireland News
Today, the largest news is the massive mobilization of the PRLNI's armed forces. Divisions Eight and Nine of their regulars, and Kern Legions Seven and Ten have been sent to aid ally Pythagoria. That's right, a full fifth of the nation's combat units have been sent. We'll just wait and see if the Republic of Eire takes advantage of this brazen manuever. This is Jackie Hayes, of the IIN, signing off.

But he has disappeared so I will ask this question, is there any other neutral Irish nations that the Mafia could temporarily take over?
OOC: Hell, make one up. You could take it over permenantly, if you wanted. Just get a county map of ireland, and pick one or two counties, give it a name. The RoE is coastal, but Franberry is on vacation or something like that.
OOC:
OOC: My nation is landlocked, so your going to have to talk to Franberry for trading... He's RPing the Republic of Eire, but he hasn't posted for awhile. What an asshole (kidding). My soldiers use the LNIM-16, an inferior, domestic version of the M-16, but hopefully we'll be getting some Kalashnikov's from our ally soon.
That'd be me, lads and lasses. The PRLNI forces (Not RoE, the LNI troops) should have sufficient Russkyan-model AK-74M assault rifles to equip their regulars and Kerns. They would also have sufficient Russkyan PKM GPMGs / MMGs (Depending on terminology) to have a single machinegun per squad, as well as several million rounds of 5.45x39mm and 7.62x54R ammunition, which, having been produced by the RMSMC, are of substantially higher quality than their Soviet counterparts. Russkyan-model AK-74M rifles should be capable of accurate point fire to about 550m, depending on operator skill, and the PKMs would be capable of suppressive area fire out to around 855 meters. Bit further on a tripod, but I didn't provide any of those with this particular shipment. The PRLNI also declined (Or I forgot to offer, whichever) RPKs and GP-30s.
I apologize now, for conducting this business with PRLNI via telegram rather than openly in this thread, where it might help for you guys to know about it, having heard it from me. If anyone's wondering why I'm able to contribute that many rifles, machineguns, and rounds of ammunition to the LNI war effort, is because I am reorganizing my military to take advantage of other equipment.
So far, the thread looks good. I'll keep watching, and might become involved later, if that's quite alright with you, PRLNI.

OOC: So far, the thread looks good. I'll keep watching, and might become involved later, if that's quite alright with you, PRLNI.
OOC: Of course its alright. BTW, I thought I did take RPKs and RPG-7s. Am I wrong?
OOC: That depends, do you want them? I can issue you sufficient RPG-7V launchers, PG-7VR tandem HEAT, OG-7V Fragmentation, and even PG-7TBG thermobaric warheads to equip your forces. Also, the RPKs I can offer you are RPK-74M, constructed to the same standard as the AK-74Ms and PKMs, and they'd be accurate enough to around 750 meters, by which I mean able to hit and kill a man reliably. Any further is really pushing it. In the Russkyan military, if two RPKs are present in a squad, one is typically equipped with an optical sight (Think high-powered 1P29 "Trilux") for 'designated marksman' purposes.
If you do want them, then you can consider yourself to have these weapons and nessecary parts (Replacement bits, magazines, ammunition) by... tomorrow should cover it. Be about a half-workweek of in-game time, literally two and a half days. We deliver. Rapidly.
And my technical specialists should number about twenty. They're professional soldiers, all armed and a little eager to get out of the area, being rather lonely as the only Russkyans hanging around.
I'd deploy regular forces, more specifically the Russko-Celtic Corps, many of whose members hail from Scotland or Eire, but they're currently being reorganized. And if I did deploy them, the Black Glengarries may not be the most beneficial thing for the local civilian population in urban warfare.

Yes, my soldiers desperately need the RPG launchers, we're going against Kraven's heavily armored Capitol Police in Pythagoria. And the RPKs would be very helpful.
OOC: You got 'em.
IC:
The RMSMC has been authorized to provide AT-15 "Krizhantema" ATGM systems and RPG-29 antitank launchers to the LNI forces for $15,000 (AT-15) and 7,500 (RPG-29) apiece. Ammunition complimentary, as the Russkyan government is attempting to reduce stockpiles at the moment. Also available are SVD sniper rifles, chambering 7.62x54R ammunition. Being of Russkyan manufacture they are substantially more accurate than their Soviet cousins. These can be provided free of charge, as were the previous shipments.
Regarding the RPG and RPK systems previously mentioned, they shipped from Nizhny Magnitosibersk's ports less than two hours ago.
Regards,
- Ivan Gaslukatov, RMSMC, PSR Russkya

OOC: Gotcha...
IC: The rather small now-citystate of Waterford was a peaceful little town, it just happened to be unfortunate enough to border the PRLNI and the RoE... that made it prime target for the Red Tide Mafia, the two Tarantul-III class Corvettes hung back for firesupport as the ZUBR Class Amphibious Assualt Ships moved closer to the shore. The first three LCACs departed and moved up onto the port, with workers looking on in confusion. Then their ramps fell to the ground and one T-90S Main Battle Tank rolled out of each LCAC, followed by Mafia Thugs wielding Ak-107 Assualt Rifles and RPG-29s. The dockworkers quickly fled in terror upon seeing the overwhelming firepower as the LCACs moved back onto the water.
Now with the port under control, the three freighters steamed into the port and containers, large enough to house a tank, were lifted off and placed on the ground. The fronts were pried open and, sure enough, more T-90 tanks and BTR-90 Armored Personnel Carriers rolled onto the port ground. Through in a few ZSU-23-4 "Shilka's" and you got a Red Tidean regiment(2,500 men) worth of men and material being off loaded from each freighter. With three freighters, that was one brigade and a half worth(7,500 men).
