Maten City , Capital City of Mationbuds

The Dictator Darth Matter was having a national security meeting with his chief Advisors Martin Luther , Sith Lord Marcus Periera , Jedi Master Bror Jace and the individual advisors for the differnent sectors of the Government .

A group of around 1000 armed civillians , according to intel has form a group called the Democratic Revolution Front (DRF) and is now holding what appears to be peaceful protests outside the Palace but has threathened to resort to violent ways should the Dictator and his top staff not step down within 2 hours .

After discussing for 50 minutes , they still had not come to a decision and the Dictator recessed the meeting . During the short 10 minute break , Martin the Grand Adviser ordered the Empire Police Force to open fire and kill all the rebels which ensued to a heavy gunfight errupting between the 2 factions .

The Dictator wanted to reverse the course but what was done could not be changed . He had no choice but to proceed with the plan of cracking down on the rebels . He used his powers to summon the Imperial Army which marched through the streets , killing any rebel they saw .

However the rebels had more members than they originally thought and had much more advance weaponary than imagined . Now the Dictator is struggling to keep internal peace because the bulk of the Imperial Army is away at war . So he called for international assistance and sent this message via long range broadcast to all nations :

"The Galactic Empire of Mationbuds is currently facing a internal crisis started by a group of around 5,000 rebels calling themselves the Democratic Revolution Front (DRF) and we are struggling to stop them . We therefore ask for international assistance to crack down and arrest and if necessasary eliminate all the rebels . We would be grateful if you will be kind enough to help us ."

Lord President Barbarossa listened to the crackling voice of the Dictator Darth Matter,"What do we know about this nation?"

The intelligence officer who had brought the information before the Assembly looked at his commander-in-chief for a moment,"Little is known... but they did appeal for help. They are Force-users, at least the ruling government appears to be consisted of them. They appear also to be autocratic"

Barbarossa mused,"Alright... alright. I don't agree with autocracy... and quashing democracy is in direct violation of the constiution. Let's put it to a vote. All those opposed to helping this nation?"

All twelve hands. Unanimous.

BArbarossa nodded,"Now, to get it past the Commons..."

We, the Assembly of the Shadow Republic of Snake Eaters, have voted not to aid you in your fight. This is because you are attempting to quash free speech, civil liberties, and the rights of the individual.

The Dictator was generally displeased about Snake Eater's decision not to assist them in quashing the rebellion . Even though the rebels were Democrats , they shouldn't have resorted to violent means to achieve a democratic state . Nevertheless the Imperial Army was still using its might to crush down on the rebels .

Meanwhile it was the rebels turn , they were being defeated by the Imperial Army . So they sent out a message to all nations asking for help :

"This is General Samuel Warton , leader of the Democratic Revolution Front (DRF) , we are trying to dispose of the Imperial Government and install a Democratic Free state . Our forces are currently small and quite poorly armed . Therefore we urge you all to help us to install a true Democratic State ."

Ic: Perhaps both parties should lay down their weapons in favor of peaceful negotiations? Anyone thought of this?

The messages that where sent from both the Government and the rebel forces where picked up from the Novaen communications probe.

Keira Woodlake, the Novaen representative that looks after the Novaen/Mationbud relations saw the messages from both sides and with a discussion with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Relations. With their help and support the following message where drafted and sent in reply to both of the requests for support.


We are disturbed by the turn of events within your nation. Violence is not the way for either side to handle the call for democracy and the violence within your nation will be negatively affecting both sides and the nation as a whole. Whoever we do beleive there is a better way. We do believe that this situation could be resolved through diplomacy. As such if both sides agree, the Novaen people will be happy to send a diplomatic team to act as mediators in this tense situation. This is on the condition however that a cease-fire or temporary truce will be in place and there will be no hostilities while the mediation is taking place. This message is being sent to both the government and the DRF.

The rebels received both messages and were quick to reply . First to the nation that sent a message requesting peace from both sides "Unfortunately it is not possible as the Dictator and his Imperial Government will never agree to such methods ."

Next they replied to the Nova Bazaloonian's message "We have already captured Maten Public Docks and we will allow your team to land there under our protection . Do not attempt to land at Maten Military Docks or you will be considered a enemy and intercepted by our few starfighters ."

Several hours later , the Government replied to NB "We strongly welcome your peacekeeping team but warn that to no extent should weapons be brought in . This is to minimise the chances of weapons falling into the rebel hands . Please dock at Maten Military Dock Number 82G . Upon entering Mationbuds's Planetary Atmosphere , kindly identify yourself and you will be immediately met with and escorted by a Squadron of X-Wings . We warn you not to go near Maten Public Docks as it has fallen into the rebels hand but we will re-capture it as soon as possible ."

Secret IC:

In one of the rooms to the Novaen Ministry of Foreign Relations the following meeting took place

"The Rebels are wanting us to land in territory controlled by them and are saying that if we land at the Maten Military Dock we'll be counted as enemies." said a public servant

"And the Government are wanting us to land there and be escorted by their X-Wings. So we won't have a chance to deal with the Rebels either."

"So how far away is NBS Dart(Mk II Hawdon Class)?" asked the Minister for Foreign Relations.

"Still 4 hours away using the combination of the TFME and the Hyperspace drive."

"Okay, so what we need is some neutral territory, What if we see if we can get them on Dart and hold the negotiations there?" suggested the Minister

The NBS Dart is on it's way and should not be that far away. It is carrying a diplomatic team that's purpose will be to mediate between the government and the Rebels to find a solution acceptible to both parties. However we have a concern, if we do hold the negotiations on the planet in Government-controlled areas then the Rebels may not be as willing to attend due to security concerns and so we respectfully suggest that the NBS Dart be the location for the mediation.


the following message was sent to the Rebels....

A diplomatic team is coming on board the NBS Dart. Instead of holding the negotiations on either Government or Rebel controlled areas and implications of such choice of location. Would the DRF have any objections to holding the mediation in the conference room of the NBS Dart?

The Imperial Government had recieved the reply first and were prepared to go to NBS Dart for negotiations ... with a full legion of Vanguard Troops and Clone Troopers .

So they replied "NBS Dart , we will gladly welcome you as an ally of our nation . Now as you enter orbit , 2 Squadrons of X-Wings will meet you to escort you . We look forward to meeting your diplomat ."

The rebels also received the message and replied "Of course we would go there . But we will send 4 TIE Fighters to escort NBS Dart to landing area so as not to be interfered by the Imperial Forces . "

The NBS Dart returned back to Truespace and disengaged the TFME it sent the following message to both the DRF and the Government of Mationbuds.

We have received your requests, however the Dart was not designed to fly into the atmosphere. As a result we will be sending a shuttle to pick up your diplomatic team. The Dart has a large Novaen military contingent on board, which contains a number of fighters and ship-based combat troops.(OOC: See my ship catalogue for more details) These will be sufficient to provide defense for the shuttles and security for all diplomatic teams. No other military forces or weapons of anykind will be tolerated on board the shuttle or NBS Dart. Any fighter 'escort' from either side will be considered hostile forces and be engaged by our fighters. Also we reiterate the condition for the ceasing of hostilities so the mediation can take place. Any resummption of hostiltes from either side will result in the suspension of the mediation. These are our conditions and they are non-negotiable and any break of these conditions will result in suspention of the mediation until compliance is acheived or could result in the mediation being altogether cancelled. We await to hear your response and confirmation that hostilities have, at least for the moment, ceased.

I don't mind you using it so long as you don't include my nation name . Anyways i was thinking about injecting some hilarious message .

The Imperial Government decided to send a tem of 4 Diplomats with a escort of 6 unarmed bodyguards who were experts in self-defence and 2 Sith Apprentices without their lightsabers aboard their own lambada class shuttle . For safety , the Grand Adviser ordered 2 Imperial Star Destroyers to keep an eye on the NBS Dart should anything happen .

They replied to NBS Dart :
"Of course we respect your decision and would be sending 4 Diplomats , 6 unarmed bodyguards and 2 Sith Apprentices without their lightsabers aboard one of our Lambada Shuttles . As precaution , 2 Imperial Star Destroyers shall be 5km away from the NBS Dart monitoring the situation and be ready to intervene should complications arise ."

The rebels similarly received the message and were going to send a diplomatic team but did not agree yet to a ceasefire .

"NBS Dart , we would be sending 2 Rebel diplomats , 4 Rebel Troopers without any weapons but armed with stun batons . We will await your shuttle at coordinates 54,62,58 ."

The news that the government of Mationbuds was sending their own shuttle was unwelcome news onboard the NBS Dart and they where deciding what to do as Dart moved into an orbit around the planet.

They sent the following message to the Government.

We will be sending half of our fighters to escort your shuttle into the Docking bay on the NBS Dart. Your fighters are not to take off. Once the shuttle arrives it will under go a security sweep, more for the ease of mind and to remove any potential claim that the DRF might make in regard to the shuttle. All personnel on both shuttles will also be scanned and searched for any un-declared or hidden weapons. We'll see you on board, fighters have been despatched. We also enquire about any powers that the apprentices may have

To the DRF....

Even a Stun Baton is a weapon that can be used aggresively, we had stated no weapons of any kind are tolerated on board to both you and the government. As such we can't seem to be showing favourites so I'm afraid the Stun Battons are going to have to be left behind. The Shuttle and it's fighter escort are on it's way to the co-ordinates provided by you. Once the shuttle arrives on board NBS Dart all incoming personnel from the planet will be subject to scanning and searches. See you on board

The Imperial Government received the message and were willing to intercede to NBS Dart's requests and they replied :

"We will await your fighter escort and will permit the searching of the shuttle upon docking . And do not object to the presnce of 2 Imperial Star Destroyers and do not be alarmed . The 2 Sith Apprentices have their own lightsaber but due to your request , they were left behind . Their force ability is not fully honed yet so they know some basic forc moves/attacks . Here are their stats ." with that the Imperial Government transmitted another message with the 2 Apprentices's stats :

"-Weapons : Blue Bladed Lightsabers , 1 DC-15s Blaster Pistol
-Training : Form II Lightsaber Combat
-Equipment : Radio Communicator , Distress Beacon , Gas Mask
-Force Abilites : Telekinesis , Force Push/Pull , Force Leap/Jump , Telepathy , Burst of Speed , Force Sense , Force Seeing and Farsight , Precognition , Saber Throw , Energy Resistance , Cure/Heal , Affect Mind (Persuation) , Force Stealth , Hibernation Trance , Dissipate Energy (or Absorb) , Blinding , Force Choke "

The Democratic Revolution Front also replied "We have returned and will nto bring the Stun Batons along but the Autocratic Dictatorial so called diplomats must also not bring any weapons ." with that , the rebel diplomats and their rebel bodyguards boarded the NBS Dart's shuttle and sat back as it took off .

Here are the more detailed force moves/attacks :

*Telekinesis - This ability is used to lift objects and move them, including the wielder and enemies, in a desired direction.

*Force Push/Pull - Telekinetic abilities to pull or push objects away, as well as enemies. The greater the user's aptitude, the heavier the object that can be manipulated or the more wide the arc or radius of the force 'wave'. It can be used to pull weapons from enemies.

*Force Leap/Jump - Uses the Force to augment the user's natural leaping ability. Force users adept in this can perform incredible vertical/horizontal leaps with impunity.

*Telepathy - The ability to mentally communicate over small or vast distances.

*Force Sense - Used within the Jedi Order to sense the future, possible danger, a person's location, or the presence of the Dark Side.

*Seeing - Enhances the bearer's visual and spatial perception even in the dark or behind walls. Trained users can have their sight amplified to the point that they are able to counteract Persuasion and Blinding.

*Farsight - Makes the mind of the Jedi fly through space and perceive all around. This is a key ability, as it allows the user to see events over great distances that are occurring.

*Precognition - Certain devotees of the Force are gifted in the ability to sense extreme danger however subtle it is, and receive ample warning to defend against the threat.

*Saber Throw - Throws the lightsaber in a boomerang fashion, cutting its way through objects, and returning to the hand of the caster with Force Pull.

*Energy Resistance - This power shields the user from various energy attacks, whether they are in the form of fire, electricity, etc. It does not shield users from Force powered attacks, and quickly fades.

*Cure/Heal - The Jedi Healer uses the Force to accelerate the natural healing process rapidly for a short duration. Initial levels require meditation, but greater aptitude usually grants faster regeneration, without need of meditation. Greater levels of attainment are also able to mend far more severe injuries, even complete damage to flesh and bone.

*Affect Mind or Persuasion - This power can confuse and persuade others, making them bend to the user's will. It usually only works on those who are weak-minded.

*Force Stealth - This versatile power can not only be used to mask one's physical presence, but also one's Force presence. With this power, the bearer can, in effect, turn almost completely invisible. It is very useful in planning surprise attacks or avoiding dangerous confrontations.

*Hibernation Trance - This is an ability of a Force user to go into a very deep hibernation state. This slows down the Force user's metabolism and breathing to a standstill.

*Dissipate Energy (or Absorb)- The ability to disperse Force energy, and to even absorb or redirect it. A trained Jedi may contain the energy of all kinds of Force attacks used against them. As the energy used to perform Force-related powers is limited, a Jedi can use the enemy's attacks to their own benefit, instead of receiving damage from them.

*Blinding - With this power, a Jedi can obfuscate any person's vision, making it very difficult for the Jedi to be spotted, targeted, or defended against. This power can be countered by Sense

The fighters arrived to escort the Mationbud delegation to NBS Dart, while they where on their way to the Hawdon Mk II spaceship the following message was sent to the governmental shuttle.

While technically the Apprentices are not armed they do have aggressive powers, as such we cannot in good concious allow them to have contact with the rebel delegation. We will ask what role they wish to play in the Government's delegation, this will be asked once they arrive and they may be required to return back to the planet.

The government shuttle arrived first with the rebel delegation not far behind, the rebel delegation went to circle until the government delegation where able to be dealt with and taken to a place for the delegation to work before the mediation started. The pilot told the Rebel Delegation "The flight controller has put us into a holding pattern, just so that we can keep the two delegations seperate until the mediation starts."

Keira Woodlake and a number of other diplomats where there to welcome the government delegation.

"Welcome to the NBS Dart, I would like to have delayed this but I'm afraid we are going to have to ask for your decision." this was Kiera Woodlake

The Imperial Government received the NBS Dart's message but chose to forward it to Diplomat Jong instead of replying themselves . After reading , Diplomat Jong replied "The Sith Apprentices are here to protect me and my fellow diplomats from the rebels in case they do bring onboard some secret weapons somehow ."

Minutes past and the Lambada Shuttle docked in the NBS Dart's hangar and he stepped out with his fellow diplomats , surrounded in a semicircle by his bodyguards and the 2 Sith apprentices on both sides of him .

Minutes later the shuttle carrying the rebels landed and the rebel diplomats came out and when both eyes met , they turned into angry looks and threathrning ones .

When the NB Diplomat Kiera asked the question , both sides of diplomats screamed that they wanted the other party's leader to resign and the body be disbanded .

Immediately after that , Diplomat Jong cooled down and said calmly "You have seen our nation prosper under the Dictators rule . So why should some small minor faction armed with sticks and swords come to us and demand that we step down ? You are simply doing us no good ."

But Rebel Diplomat Fariz countered "That is simply untrue . You see other nations which have a democratic government proposer even better and the civillians generally enjoy life and have their own freedom .'

Diplomat Jong kept his cool and replied "Prosperity comes with a price . I'm sure our nation will prosper if we didn't have hooligans like you ."

This was exactly what the Novaens didn't want the Rebels and the Government at each others throats before the meeting started...

"Fine.. but any agressive action taken by ANYONE against the other side will be counted as an attack on Novaens." Kiera stated loud enough so both the Rebels and the Government heard. and went on.. "we are here to resolve this issue diplomatically, if either side aren't willing to calm down and address this issue calmly we have to doubt you're willingness to resolve this issue. Both teams have been allocated quarters. I recommend both sides go to these quarters calm down and then we can get this meeting started. Scans will be done once you arrive." and with that diplomatic outburst Kiera turned around and left. Three teams of Novaen military came and did their duties, 1 team for the Rebels, one for the government and one to keep them from going at each others Jugular.

"Now if only they'd be at least civil to each other we might have a chance". Kiera huffed as she walked away.

OOC: For the record, Mation, this is Nova Boozia here. But I don't have any IC connection with my puppet yet.
IC:The Coalition of Jingoistic Ether Navies (COJEM) was thoroughly against rebellion against any form of Dictatorial government... as long as they didn't have an axe to grind with the dictator in question. So when they heard of the rebellion in Mationbuds, they immediately sent the following message.

We object to any sort rebelion against honest, absolutist states. And we find that when a pair of colonies get all uppity the best solution is to show the old flag, and sent a gunboat! Which is, with your permission, exactly what we intend to do. One of our experimental Gamma class destroyers, to be exact, with some of our best marines in case these rebels need some proper old fashioned discipline. The statistics are:

Shields: Standard grav-bubble.

Support suits have a heavy armour and heavy weapon. Command suits have extra comms.

The Government and Rebel Diplomatic Teams huffed at each other before leaving with their bodyguards to their respective quarters to cool down ... or maybe get more time to find faults at the other party .

Meanwhile on Maten Planet :
The Imperial Government had received the message from Admiral Hardwood and replied :

We thank you for your assistance and will welcome your aid . We look forward to meet your prototype destroyer and we will be transmitting the coordinates to the ship to go to the designated orbital base once the ship enters the Mationbuds Sol Sys to dock for refuelling and resupplying .

After 20 minutes Kiera went and checked on the delegations to see if they had calmed down enough. They still were not quite at the level that Kiera would like.

10 minutes later...

Both delegations where lead to different doors to the Novaen conference room. But before they where to enter, one of the people read something that Kiera gave to them.

"Now before the meeting starts we have to remind you of the conditions that we are hosting this mediation. Any violence on the ground will cause the meeting to be stopped and everyone will return to their quarters, repeated violations of this will cause the meeting to be cancelled and you will be escorted off the Dart and back down to the surface. Any weapons if found will be confiscated and may ressult in either the meeting to be stopped or cancelled all together. Any aggressive actions against anyone will be deemed to be against a Novaen and an appropriate reponse will be made by our military. We are here in an attempt to find a peaceful solution and negate the issue that is causing hostilities. Please act like it. Do you agree to these terms?"

It was easy to see by anyone that 'no' was not an option. and so they waited for the response from the Rebels and Government at different places ready to enter the conference room.

The Iota dropped off the grav-wave it was riding and back into realspace, then headed to the nearest dockyard.

The Rebel and Government delegation stared at each other blankly before one by one they agreed to the terms of the negitiation . But in secret , the Governmental team had only one objective in mind ... to make the rebels stop their little rebellion .

The rebels too had some suprises up their sleeves . Every rebel trooper or diplomat on board had secretly smuggled in Stealth High Powered Blaster Pistols that could easily penetrate through armor and disentegrate flesh but small enough and equipped with several technologies they developed that they could hide it .

Slowly they followed Kiera into the designated area for a round of talks ...

Meanwhile at the Maten Military Orbital Base IV ...

The control tower spotted the Iota approaching and after receiving autorization , dispatched 2 Squadrons of X-Wings and 2 Squadrons of TIE Defenders to escort the Iota into the orbital base's defensive shields .

After the Iota had docked , Commander William proceeded down with 4 Squads of Elite Dicter Warior Commandoes , specially sent by the Dictator to welcome the allies ...

"Thank you for coming here and so we can discuss the issues related to what is happening on the ground of the planet." Kiera started and then continued addressing the Rebels "I already have an idea but, exactly why did you take up arms against the government. and I remind that boths sides will get their turn."

Kiera listened to the Rebel reply and she had her poker face on not letting a hint out at what she heard..

"So, what does the government thinks motivates the rebels?" this was a very dicey question to ask but she knew that she had to know the answer if she could have a hope of dealing the situation on the ground. The scans done in the quarters did not reveal anything but something made Kiera un-easy.

And then her PD beeped.... detailing the arrival and immenent docking of a ship called the Iota. She replied "raise the ship on Comms, see if we can't get some information from them before we raise this information in conference."

The following message went out to the Jingoistic Empire ship.

This is the NBS Dart from the people of Nova Bazalonia, We request information about your prescence. We are currently in the process of acting as a mediator between two different forces and wish to determine if there are matters which may complicate the process. Thank you.

The Rebel Diplomat stepped forward and said "We decided to take up arms after hearing the call from our glorious leader , General Samuel Warton to overthrow the corrupt and oppressive Imperial Government which mainly comprises of Sith Lords . We want to instill a Democratic Republic which has freedom and rights instead of the corrupt and opressive Empire ."

At this the Imperial Diplomat wanted to lunge forward and kill the rebel scum but refrained himself from doing so . Then he replied "The Dictator Darth Matter and the entire Government all agree that the reason of this little rebellion of theirs is just because they were unhappy about some small law giving the Dictator more power and they are just a group of dissatisfied people who want to give some trouble ." before he added "You little miserable Rebel Scumbags ."

OOC: Yes this is a space age thing... though I would certainly wonder what side are you going to fight for and how are you going to ally with them... just sending an external force to a planet that is in civil war is just asking for trouble. Both from other nations linked to the said nation ( such as my FT puppet Nova Bazalonia) getting angry as well any unforseen reactions by the nation that is involved in a civil war... they might both turn on you. Just a friendly word of advice...

And if you'd check out my factbook at HERE (www.freewebs.com/mationsbuds/mationbuds.txt) , I would have to say that you would be able to capture Asteroids Cluster 1 and 2 with some difficulty but once you advance to Mations City , I doubt your invasion force can capture it . So you cant just jump in past all the other planets and attack my home planet , which I doubt you can do much damage on . So I would take it that you're trying to invade asteroid cluster 2 .

Commander William James of the Prefabricated Base deployed on the Asteroid Cluster was enjoying himself at the snooker area when a Lieutenant rushed up to him delivering reports of foreign and possibly hostile objects approaching their asteroid cluster .

He immediately sent a message to them "Chazzwaza Navy , please state your actions or be destroyed . You are hereby entering the sovereignity and solar system of the Galactic Empire of Mationbuds ." before switching channels to inform Sith Lord Grand Admiral Brandon Whiltby of the Mation Defender Fleet and Sith Lord Grand Admiral Darth Bane of the Empire Protectorate Starfleet who in turn informed the Dictator who ordered the Empire Protectorate Fleet , under the command of Darth Bane to standby .

Meanwhile Commander Williams ordered Planetary Shield Generators to be activated and all defensive systems and guns ready for action and posied towards the incomming invasion pods . Once they reached the xenosphere and were without any positive reply from the Chazzwazians , they would open fire .

When Rebel General Samuel Warton heard of the reinforcements sent by Sephrioth to help the Imperial Government to hunt down and eliminate them , they were naturally shocked to the core but were still determined to do hit and run attacks which were small individually but large altogether .

Meanwhile the Imperial Government wanted to meet the Sephriothian Fleet in style and dispatched 100 Imperial Star Destroyers , 100 Mon Calamari Star Cruisers , 200 Nebulon B Frigates , 200 Carrack Class Light Cruisers , 150 Vindicator Class Heavy Cruisers , 10 Wraith Class Super Star Destroyers , 4 Executor Class Super Star Destroyers and 1 Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer to meet the Sephriothian Fleet and start on the hunt ... And that was only a small postion of the combined Imperial Navy and Army .

Once the 2 Fleets were in formation , Grand Admiral Darth Bane called upon the Sephriothian Leader to commence the hunt .

The rebels wanted to first do some recon and see the full size of the combined attack force . Gen Samuel dispatched 2 Squadrons of X-Wing Starfighters to go and see the fleets size ...

The rebel starfighters were overwhelmed by massive numbers of Sephriothian and Mationbuds Imperial Starfighters and they immediately knew the sheer size and firepower of the enemy forces and pull back but in the meanwhile lost 4 X-Wings .

"Comments like that are unhelpful." she stated as she eyed the government diplomat. "Okay, since that law is the item that stirred all this action. I'm going to request a copy of it from the government. If you have a copy here I would like to read it, if not I'll try and get a copy sent from the planet."

Once again Kiera's PD beeped.. there was a message..."Some kind of pods are heading for one of the bases. Scans indicate some sort of invasion force. More details to follow as we attempt to get in contact..."

This she had to report... "I've got some news... It seems an UNKNOWN force are trying to invade, details are sketchy but this is where we are going to have to pause until that situation is addressed. The guards will take you back to your quarters and I will come and get you when"

OOC: I'm ICly totally oblivious to the actions of the Sephrion and Government fleets... If a rebel diplomat was to reveal that at an opportune time that would be good.

IC :

The Government Diplomat wearily handed a copy of the latest version of the law , particularly the Law No 238 which apparently started the rebellion .

Before she dismissed both teams , the Rebel Diplomat requested them to halt before proceeding "My men tell me that the Sephitroth and Mationbuds Imperial Navies have launched as much as 20000 Starfighters to chase our miserable 12 Starfighters . We would like to request that you call them off ."

Kiera sighed, while neither technically broke the conditions they certainly streched the spirit of it.

"I'm going to have to insist on all aggressive actions taken by the government and their Sephrion allies against the Rebels cease until an agreement can be made. We'll get in contact with the Sephirons and talk to them directly. Though I have to think that their actions may have been prompted by Rebel activity. If neither side will play nice then any chance that these discussions have will be thrown out the window and the results shall be on your own heads. Anyway I'll go and see what I can do..."

and with that Kiera got up and left...

a few minutes later the following message was sent to the Sephirons from the Novaen Communications probe


Greetings, It has come to our attention that you are enganged in military actions with the Government of Mationbuds against a Rebel force. We, however, are hosting a mediation between the Government and the Rebels in an attempt to resolve the situation without violence. To these ends we ask the Sephrion Government to halt all aggresive actions against the Rebels at least while this mediation is still taking place. If you witness any aggressive actions taken by the rebels please do not engage unless the safety of your fleet is at risk instead of engaging please contact us and we will raise the issue during the mediation. Thank you.

The lead diplomat turned towards the rebels and showed a face that definately meant no good before continuing "I shall order the starfighter squadrons to pull back ... for now ."

Kiera returned and addressed the Government Delegation...

"And what about the Sephrion's?" her gaze was a strong gaze that had locked onto the chief diplomat. While it wasn't aggressive it was one that no one was comfortable around. She kept her gaze on them until they responded.

IC :

The chief diplomat shifted uncomfortably and managed to reply "Unfortunately I have no control over the Shephiron Forces at all ..."

The rebel bodyguards immediately reached into their coat and fingered their blaster pistols lest any thing gets out of control .

"I know that you had requested help from the Sephrion's in your battles against the Rebels, so I'm sure that they would listen if you asked for them to stop, at least, for the duration of our meeting." Kiera continued her gaze towards the Chief diplomat and then straightened up and broke the eye contact.

"Let's take a break so the Government has time to message the Sephrion's." Kiera said and she walked to the door, as she reached to the door she looked back and added "Oh, and, we expect a copy of your message." addressing the government. With that Kiera left and the Novaen gaurds escorted both the Rebel and the Government diplomats back to their quarters.

Kiera waited for confirmation of the message from the Mationbud Government.

the sephrion destroyers were hunting down rebels ships

The Chief Diplomat turned to face Kierra before replying "I'll see what I can do ." but that apparently wasn't good enough for the Rebels . When exiting the meeting area , the Rebel Bodyguards and Diplomats reached into their robes and pulled them off , revealing full body armor and each pulled out dual blaster pistols and opened fire on the Nova Boozians and Imperials before turning and running in the direction of the hangar bays , shooting at anyone that dared to oppose them .

The blaster shots fired at the Chief Diplomat was sure to kill him but was deflected in time by one of the Sith Apprentices who abosrbed it with his palm and reflected it at the Rebels . The other 2 diplomats were not so lucky and were instantly killled when the blaster bolts hit them .

The Sith Apprentices immediately responded . Using the force , they killed a rebel right in his tracks instantly with a combined bolt of deadly Sith Lightning ...

Keira immediately dropped to the ground when the blasters went off, she noticed the Rebels put their hands in the pockets, thought it was strange but she had to deal with the Government diplomats.

Either way the people that scanned either did a terrible job or their blasters where invisible to the scanners. Either way security measures for diplomatic meetings would needed to be reviewed.

Back to the action... Kiera quickly pulled out her PD and reported an emrgency...

"Rebel Diplomats Armed and shots fired. Government diplomats severly injured. Last seen heading towards the hangar."

Seconds later Klaxons started blaring throughout the ship apart from 100 or so space-based marines who where guarding critical areas such as the bridge and engines the rest of the 600 military forces on board where mobilised and heading towards the hangar.

The hangar bay doors started to close. The Rebels had about 6 minutes to get to the hangar and get out before the doors where closed to a point of no escape.

Kiera picked herself up and went see if if she could help the injured, A couple of the shots had hit the Novaens mostly slightly injured but one of the guards was seriously injured. A couple of medics from the Medical Bay arrived in half a minute from the start of the shooting the only thing that was faster than the Novaen military response was it's medical response.

The experience had shaken Kiera... but soon she was already formulating a message to send to the DRF

The rebel troops started to run when they heard the klaxon sirens blaring as enemy troops closed into their position . As they ran towards the hangar bay , they noticed that the doors were closing and quickly ran through them . All except one rebel made it through . The last rebel was left to face the enemy troops ...

Meanwhile the Imperial Diplomat had notified the Government back on Maten Capital Planet who issued orders . The 2 stationary Imperial Star Destroyers began to close in on the Nova Boozian ship to apprehend the rebels . They also launched a total of 4 Squadrons of TIE Fighters , 2 Squadrons of TIE Interceptors , 3 Squadrons of X-Wings and received reinforcements from 1 Squadron of the highly elite and superb TIE Defender . Whose pilots were the top ...

The rebel turned around to see Novaen troops coming down the 3 corridors that lead away from the docking bay.

"Put down your weapon and put your hands on your head. Now." said the man that was obviously the highest ranking officer there.

There weapons where raised and aimed at the Rebel waiting for his response.

Back on the bridge...

"Sir, Rebels have gotten into the Docking Bay!" shouted the Flight Controller.

"okay... what can we do.. they are probably going to want to get out of there... maybe taking some fighters with them." said the Captain.

"Not much, there is a console in the hanger bay that can launch ships, it's onlt activated during an emergency, and well this is." replied the Controller.

"That would mean recalling the troops."

The Captains PD beeped... containing a message. "hostile in sight, request rules of engagement."

The captain quickly replied. "Fire in self-defence only."

....

Some armed military arrived at the conference room.

"Is everything under control here?" they asked

Kiera replied "For now, provide an extra guard detail for the government diplomats until we can be certain of what happened to the rebels. We can't take any chances. Are there any wounds that need attending too?" Kiera added asking the diplomats and their guards

OOC : If I say that the rebels took some of the starfighters and took flight ... i hope that isnt godmodding .

IC :

The lone rebel trooper dropped his blaster rifle onto the ground and put his hands up in the air . Then he took the most opportune moment and pulled out a Stokhli Stick from his pocket which launched waves of deadly poision onto the unsuspecting Novaen troops .

Meanwhile the other rebels had gotten into starfighters or shuttles and began flying out of the hangar bay , firing several shots from their laser cannons and other weapons at the Novaen ship while flying to Maten Asteroid Cluster 1 , their new homebase .

The waiting Imperial Star Destroyer launched 4 Squadrons (24) of TIE Interceptors , X-Wings and A-Wings to intercept and destroy or capture the rebel starfighters . The ISD itself moved in to get a tractor lock on the shuttle carrying the most number of rebel troops and diplomats .

OOC: Godmodding? I was expecting it due to TGs received.

A Single shot was fired by the leader of the Novaen military squad, hitting the Rebel in the arm, however it was too late to stop the release of the poison but that didn't prevent the squad leader and a few other members of the military from taking the rebel on, and they fairly quickly subdued the Rebel pinning him to the ground. "How the **** did they get these weapons in here. Where was the pat down?" exclaimed the Squad leader to no one in particular

"Pyke, Hunter, strap this mans wrists. We're taking him to the sick bay." barked the Squad leader who was just starting to feel the effects of the poison. and so two fo the military personell stepped forward and strapped the wrists of the Rebel and unceremonially dragged him to the sick bay.

Seeing that there was no medical action required for the Government diplomats, Kiera got in contact with her bosses back at Nova. The following message was formulated and sent to the DRF utilising the frequencies previously used.


To the DRF,

On board the NBS Dart not so long ago members of your diplomatic team brandished blasters and shot not only Government diplomats but also fired, unprovoked, at unarmed Novaen military forces in the conference room to provide security for both sides of the discussion. Attacking anyone during a diplomatic meeting was a major failure on your part, but attacking a neutral party, whose pure aim was to resolve the situation is the undoing of any sympathy that we had for your cause. We have complete distain for your movement as you give freedom fighters around the universe a bad name by the way your diplomats have acted while on-board the NBS Dart. Do you have anything to say in your defense? Oh and yes, we have captured a Rebel combatant.

"Well there goes some of our fighters..." stated the captain "**** if it was just us I'd send some fighters out after them, but there's too high a risk of a friendly fire incident. ****!"

"Sir, Government forces are preparing to engage the fighters." stated the Conn officer.

"Okay, we better give them approval and state all Novaen tagged fighters and shuttles are valid targets. Have we cut them off from our communications network?"

"Yes sir, all messages from fighters and shuttles are being logged then dumped, we may get some intel from them."

"Flight controller... What's the detail of the fighters and shuttles lost..." barked the captain

"5 Fighters, 2 shuttles. Nothing special about them." stated the Fighter Flight Controller

"Hows the Hanger crew?" asked the Captain

"They're a bit shaken but alright, no casualties. The rebels threatened them with Blasters and some kind of stick that they claimed to contain poison. But they kept their composure and their lives." stated the Flight Controller

"Same sort of stick in that incident outside the Hangar Bay?"

"Seems so Sir. The Doctor has just started looking at those exposed to whatever it was."

"Wheres the Rebel now? He's being help in the Rebel Quarters, by 5 armed guards was the last I heard."

"Good thanks..."

The lone Rebel Trooper groaned in pain and collapsed onto the ground with a thud before shutting his eyes just as the Novaens subdued him ... he fell into a unconscious state .

Meanwhile ...

Rebel General Samuel Warton siezed the datapad angrily as the message came in . He was angry not for the attack ... which was anticipated but the capture of one of his fellow comrades .

He angrily replied

"The attack was launched because the Government Diplomats had insulted us continuously . I will not intervene in any case . But we urge you to release my fellow comrade , or face undesired actions ."

Commander James of the Imperial Star Destroyer in pursuit received the confirmation for a weapons free zone around the NBS Dart and gave the go ahead signal to his starfighters , who began to pursue the Rebel Starfighters while pumping in shots from their Laser Cannons and Ion Cannons while arming their Proton Torpedoes and Concussion Missiles for action .

Then he sent a message to Kierra

"You may feel free to launch some of your starfighters to join the pursiut ..."

In the Medical Bay the Doctors, Nurses and Physicians where a hive of activity, trying to determine the poison and a way to neutralise it, !0 solders where affected by it. The Squad leader was the worst off. The medical team induced coma's in all the patients in an effort to help prevent the spread of the poison and to stop the patients feeling pain. The only pain killers they had that where strong enough sped up the metabolism of the patient so it was most likely to speed the working of the poison as well. It was a race against time and they had not a nanosecond to waste.

The bridge received the reply from the DRF

"Who the **** do they think they are? Demanding those things."

The following message was sent in reply after consultation with Kiera


Assuming the reason you use to legitimise your actions in the conference room are valid for your actions against the Government expanding those actions against Novaen forces was totally unwarrented and inappropraite. The rebel in question was injured, is currently unconcious and is considered to be in a stable condition. We cannot return him at this moment due to his condition. On a note about the 'undesired actions', if such actions where to be undertaken by you we'd have no option to to involve ourselves militarily in the civil war, which is something that we don't want to do. And something that I am sure that you don't want to happen either. For then it will be the Government, Sephrion and Novaen forces all against your rebellion. We recommend a re-evaluation of your current path. If your reply to this message does not show a re-consideration of your threats then expect to find yourselves engaged with Novaen fighters sooner than you think.


This was one last chance for the DRF, while the Novaen government hoped for democracy in Mationbuds they where certain that the DRF in it's current form should not bring it.

IC :

In fact , the DRF General Samuel Warton was very troubled over the laset few days as more and more governent troops and battle droids poured in from all over the miltary bases in the galaxy to every planet under Imperial Control and known Rebel hideouts to hunt and exterminate the rebels . He was certaintly not in a mood to play nice with the Novaens although militarily they were much lousier , they could employ gurreila warfare .

Then he replied


We will demand that you return him to us immediately . We're sure that you have several shuttleswith medical facilities on-board . Hook him up and redezevous with us at coordinates 12.15.50 at 12 AM Galactic Time . If we do not receive him by that time , you will face drastic action . And just as a reminder , as you open this datamessage , you will receive a little present .


Gen Samuel had timed it so well as just when Kierra read the last sentence , she would feel a slight rock when his hidden mobile turbolaser tanks opened fire on the Novaen vessel ...

Kiera read the message and felt the slight shudder from the Turbolasers.

"What the..." she exclaimed as her PD beeped with another message, this time from the captain. "Laser Incoming... Seems to be from Rebels."

Kiera decided upon the course of action that would be taken and with some brief consultation the following message was sent to the Rebels.


This second attack, and the threat of a third is counter-productive. We Novaens do not like to be threatened and the threat nearly guarenteed our denial of your request. However we have decided that we will return your injured combatant. However due to the recent attack the timeline you have given us is no longer feasible. We will return him 1 hour after the time you have given us and if we receive any attacks, or 'presents', during this one hour period we will continue to hold your man and he will become a prisoner of War. I hope you realise the implications of that phrase.


There was no way that Kiera would let the Rebels bully her, this was actually was something that she was expecting the government to be doing, but then she did want to make diplomatic moves to resolve the situation but have the Novaens in control. This message keeps the Novaens in charge but now it was up to the Rebels, how would they respond to this delay in returning the prisoner, would they attack? The ball was now in the Rebels court but with the Novaens controlling the game. They only had 2 options, accept the Novaen unilateral 1-hour extension or draw the Novaens into a War.

In the medical bay

"The situation is getting worse, we need a neutralising agent and fast." Chief Medical Officer

"The Squad leader seemed to take the brunt of the poison, It has already reached his vital organs." Head Doctor

"Is there anything we can do for him?" Head Nurse

"No, but with close monitoring we may be able to work out how to stop this." Chief Medical Officer.

"Data is being recorded. I still wish there was something we can do to save him." Head Nurse

"CMO is right, we have no idea how the poison works. If we can determine how it interacts with the body then we have a chance. We've tried all we could. Irrigating the wound, etc... and it hasn't worked. Luckily the others are no where near as advanced in the poisoning as the Squad Leader. So we have time, not much, but it may be just enough." Head Doctor

"Does anyone have anything else to add?" Chief Medical Officer

"No." Head Doctor

"If only there was another way......" the Head Nurse said as he walked away.

Rebel General Samuel Warton carefully read the message before shaking his head continuously . Then he sent a reply :

"We will like to receive our man asap . I will dispatch a light frigate to pick him up from your ship DIRECTLY ! And if you do not pass him to us safely , we will declare war with you . And we have much more resources than you think we have ."

Then he turned to face Capt Devis and gave Devis a string of orders , uploaded to Devis's datapad . Then Devis turned and left to prepare his Nebulon-B Frigate .

1/2 hour later ...

Capt's Devis's Frigate , fully armed and crewed and weapons charged up all ready for action . It moved in and stopped right beside the NBS Dart and sent them a message requesting authorization to extend a cofferdam .

"Sir, New Contact, Design is of Mationbud origin." stated the Conn officer

"Ah, that would be the Rebels. Are the weapon systems operational?" stated the captain

"Yes, Sir. Lasers and Plasma Torpedoes are ready to fire." stated the Fire Control Officer

"Good, Don't fire, just we need to be ready if they try any funny business."

"They're pulling up beside us, Sir." stated the Conn officer.

"They're preparing to take on board their 'diplomat'. Hows he going?"

"Latest Report he's still unconcious, but stable. No change."

"Okay, then." said the captain as he messaged the guards to take the prisoner to the Hangar bay.

They received the message and the captain replied.

Permission Granted, You have authorisation to be in the hangar bay but any attempts to manipulate equipment or personell within the hangar bay or any attempts to enter other parts of the ship are unauthorised and there will be an appropriate response.

In the medical bay the remains of the poison stick where being analysed by Pathologists, it was a poison that they had never seen before, they where making progress but it was painstakingly slow.

The Squad Leader had just passed away. The progression of symptoms and the reactions his body had (as well with the bloodwork, obtained gave them a basis to start working on an anti-dote. The others where getting to a real bad position and they are getting relatively near a point where it has been theorised that the Anti-dote will not work.

The Blaster that the rebel snuck in was locked in a weapons closet somewhere deep inside the NBS Dart. (OOC: If you have details on the material used for the blasters to hide them, then can I get it?)

The blaster weapon was coated with a form of Ooglith Masquaraders that were also locked in a Yuzhantar Bio-Bag . The bio-bag is than attached to the carriers body and only he can open it . The Bio-Bag does not allow any form of signals to g through it and passes off itself as a part of the body . Adapted from the Yuuzhan Vong .

IC :

Captain Devis impatiently thumbed his fingers in impatiance until the reply came . He ordered the 8 meter in diameter and 10 metre long cofferdam made of Durasteel and carrying electronic locks , mechanical locks , chemical locks and biological locks that helped it to attach and seal itself to the NBS Dart .

Then he signaled to the Tactical Master who relayed a command . Then he sent a reply :

"Excellent . We will be sending aboard a team of crack rebel troopers and medical droids to bring him to safety ."

Then the Tactical Master ordered the Captain's words to be carried out .

---Several Minutes Later---

Seageant Tom Franks and his team of 6 Crack Rebel Troopers walked over to the NBS Dart and entered , followed by several Rebel Troops and Medical Droids .

They entered and collected the unconscious body of their comrade before turning and retreating back through the cofferdam . As his team was about to seal the door and withdraw the cofferdam , he received a signal command from the Bridge . Turning to his men , he gave a signal and immediately his men unslung their EC1 Blaster Rifles and opened fire .

The segeant himself took the E-Web Repeating Heavy Blaster Cannon and pumped several deadly bolts of high-powered laser powerful enough to blast through a armored door and its power was rhoughly 10 times of that of a Blaster Rifle .

After several minutes of firing and taking return fire , they retreated through the cofferdam which also withdrew and broke the conntection to tne NBS Dart .

Then Captain Devis shook his fist in anger at the Novaens because he was angry that he had hurt his .. brother . Turning to the weaponary master , he gave a nod .

Immediately the Frigates complement of Turbolasers , Heavy Turbolasers , Ion Cannons , Heavy Ion Cannons , Quad Turbolasers , Laser Cannons , Proton Torpedoes , Concussion Missile Launchers began to thump to live as they fired simultaneously at the NBS Dart ...

The Novaens had put some of the mililtary forces inside the Hangar, a carefully judged estimate between providing adequate defense for the Hangar and not putting the rebels on edge too much. Either way apart from the Novaen military the Hangar was deserted of Novaens as the cofferdam was extented from the rebel frigate.

The Rebel entered the bay probably knowing they where being closely watched by the military forces in the bay but also by any number of people who who might be watching the security feed from the bay. 3 of the people that where was the Captain, Fire Control Officer and the FTL Engineer as it was being displayed on the main viewscreen on the bridge.

"I don't have a good feeling about this." he stated watching the leader carrying a weapon that was no ordinary blaster. Something that he kept to himself was that once the unconscious rebel was gone there was nothing to hold back the frigate from opening fire. And it was in a prime position to do so.

Anyway, the process seamed to be going well.. the Rebels had collectected the body without incident and they where now retreating... It looked like they where ready to seal the doors and then... they started firing. Novaen forces who had been given strict instructions to not interfere with the recovery or to fire unless fired upon opened fire. The Heavy Blaster Cannon shot a Novaen fighter and left a burnt shell in it's place. Also majorly injurying three of the military that was around that plane. The Novaen return fire mostly missed but one did manage to get a rebel. One of the Normal troops and not seriously but still got him.

Meanwhile on the Bridge...

"as soon as the connection with Cofferdam is broked engage FTL... Get us outta here" stated the captain

"A bit of the Cofferdam will come with us.. that could be a problem." stated the FTL Engineer.

"I don't care that ships going to open fire the second the cofferdam is retracted... "

"Sir?"

"The Rebel prisoner is the only thing that prevented them opening fire before and now he's gone they are going to open fire, and we are sitting ducks. I prefer not to be sitting ducks. Don't you worry, Jake, you'll fire your weapons soon enough." said the Captain.

"Yes, Sir." stated the Fire Control Officer (who's first name was Jake.)

"Sir, the cofferdam is being retracted." stated the Conn Officer.

"Already on it, captain." Stated the FTL Engineer...

"Sir, Weap..." the Conn Officer was interrupted as they found themselves in Hyperspace.

"on impacts." the Conn Officer finished

The lasers had impacted the ship but where soon shooting through the dissapating red glow generated by the Hyperspace Bubble Generator.

"Damage Report."

....

"Structurally we're fine. The lasers reached but we managed to go in time, no major Damage has been reported."

"Okay run a full ship diagnostic... Tell Military Command recommend military involvement, against the Rebels. Re-inforcements required for engagement. and Upload the diagnostic data once complete."

"Yes, sir" said the communications officer and whoever's job it was to run the diagnostic. The Captain didn't know but he knew it could be done so he ordered it.

"Sir... Are we going back?" asked the Fire Control Officer

"Yes, soon." was all that the captain replied.

The Seegeant gestured for him men to fall back as the cofferdam was being retracted when he heard a shrill scream and turned to see one of his men fall to the floor thanks to a blaster wound from the Novaens .

He only growled in anger as he carried the injured comrade to the madical bay when the ship groaned and shuddered as the Shields tried to withstand the hole opened in the air when the NBS dart jumped to hyperspace .

Captain Devis held on tightly to the armrests on his command chair as he watched the Novaen ship jump to hyperspace . Somehow he flet that this wouldn't be the last that he would be seeing of the Novaens .

Then seeing nothing else to shoot or enforce Rebel control , he ordered the ship to turnaround back to their secret base , unknown to them a Cloaked Sith Infiltrator had attached a homing beacon on them ...

NBS Dart arrived at one of the Novaen military intermediate points, they where met by the NBS Arrow, NBS Bolt, NBS Strike and NBS Bow.

A brief discussion was had and it was decided that the Dart would return to Nova and get repaired while the others would go and engage the Rebels.

Their mission was not to kill all the Rebels, but to make the leadership re-think the way it handles itself, particularily in diplomacy and to make a statement that when the Novaens extend their hand of diplomacy, biting it off is not a good option.

The poison stick and the blaster returned with Dart to Nova for Novaen scientists to perform research upon.

It was at this meeting that Kiera sent a message to the Mationbuds Government before heading back to Nova

We will aid your government forces in the battle against the rebels, However, We have our own objectives, and it is not the total desctruction of the rebels.

IC :

Emperor Darth Matter saw the NB fleet arriving out of hyperpace and a message came . He replied accordingly .

"Excellent ! Assist us and you will be greatly rewarded !"

Then he sent 6 Imperial MkIII Star Destroyers , 5 Imperial Elite Star Destroyers , 1 Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer and 2 Wraith Class Super Star Destroyers to go and assist the Novaen fleet ...

Meanwhile Rebel Gen Samuel Warton was slightly un-nerved about the new Novaen ships but laughed it away and prepared 4 Nebulon-B Frigates and 2 Mon Calamari Star Cruisers , which was practically 80% of his fleet to engage the Novaens when the time came ...

The following message was sent to the DRF, and to the Rebel Gen Samuel Warton in particular.


General Samuel Warton,

We are holding you personally responsible for the attacks commited aboard and upon the NBS Dart. You are hereby accused of "Orchestrating Terrorist Activities against Novaen Citizens" We have been authorised to use any force required to apprehend you. However we have decided to give you a choice. You can surrender yourself to us to face these charges, a defence will be provided in which you will be able to call witnesses or we will have no choice but to engage all Rebel forces until we find out your current location and take military action to apprehend you. You have one hour to reply otherwise we will start taking military action.


The Novaens waited for the DRF's response and sent te following message to the government ships.

We have just sent an ultimatum to the Rebel forces, General Samuel Warton is to surrender himself to face a Novaen trial, after which you may have him or face our combined might. They have one hour to respond. It seems likely with the General gone that the Rebels will lose their willingness to fight, for now, but unless the government instutuites democracy in at least some form then it is very likely more rebellions will occur.

Gen Samuel Warton laughed heartily at the Novaen's message and formulated a reply

"Absolutely not ! We will not face what you call a trial by a group of cannibals which form your judiciary . Neither will we turn over our forces to you . We will fight to the very last men and the very last breath in our souls ! "

Then turning to his deputy , Major General Tom and ordered him to relay order 23 to the ships on the way to engage the Novaens .

"Yes sir !" he replied before issuing the order .

The ships received the order and commenced the attack . The Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruisers moved in with their tremendous firepower and nearly invincible shields , they were equavalient to a MKIII Imperial Star Destroyer in terms of size , firepower and speed etc .

They brought their turbolasers and heavy turbolaser batteries to bear , pounding the enemy ships with deadly laser . They also fired with their Ion Cannons , Heavy Ion Cannons while releasing a deadly tirade of Proton and Concussion Missiles/Torpedoes while readying their Quad Turbolasers for engaging enemy starfighters .

Their Laser Cannons were also readied for near range ship to ship fighting .

Then the Nebulon-B Frigates moved in , taking cover behind the Mon Cal Star Cruisers while opening fire with their starboard Turbolaser Batteries while releasing deadly swarms of Torpedoes and Missiles accompanied by their several Ion Cannons .

Then the entire rebel fleet launched 10 Squadrons (60) of X-Wings , 8 Squadrons (48) of the deadly B-Wing Superioty Bomber and 2 Squadrons (12) of their elite but few A-Wings which were extremely agile for doefights and also packed the firepower of down almost all kinds of aircraft ...

However should tensions escalate , I may send a greater force under a Grand Admiral ...

The Message from the general was read by the Captain that sent it

"Relay this message to all other ships and go on high alert... They're going to be coming to us."

"sir, they didn't say anything about coming to us." stated the communications officer

"No, they didn't. But from what I know, this general doesn't do things by halves... oh and also alert the Mationbuds."

Weapons where charged, flight crew preped for launch and the captain sent this reply to the DRF.


Do not be so quick to judge our judges, our legal system or our people. You have no idea about us or our society and yet you make claims such as you have. You have made your decision and we all will have to live with the consequences of it, whatever they may be.

"Sir Contacts, coming straight for us 2 ships, approximately the same as the MkII Star Destroyers and 4 ships of the design the Dart encountered earlier. Confirmation from the Government forces that they are Rebel."

"Okay.. Communications officer... Spread these orders...

The MkIII Star Destroyers are to engange and disable those 2 rebel ships... the ones that are about the same size

All Other Government forces are too spread themselves out over the other 4 ships not killing but disabling... While the mark III's engage the Rebel's equivalent, that should keep them busy and so everyone else can focus on disabling the other class of ship.... That's a 3 on 1 ratio.

"Sir... the ships of the smaller class are hiding behind the the big ones." stated the Conn officer

"smart move by the General, or whoever is orchestrating this. Okay, once the Mk III's engage... order all FTL capable ships that are engaging the frigates, or whatever they are, to jump over the otherside of the ships and engage from that side. Tell Novaen ships TFME only... I want them as confused as possible."

The Government and Novaen Forces headed towards the rebel forces with the MkIII's leading the charge and all other ships behind them... the MK III's and the Mon Calamari MC80's started to exchange fire and that was when the concussion missles where fired from the, the 160 concussion missles flew towards the group. The concussion missles where easily handled by the MK III's laser batteries.

That was when everyone appart from the 6 Imperial MkIII Star Destroyers jumped behind the Rebel forces, the government forces had to turn around but novaens had control control of direction with their TFME FTL drive.

Passive scans had shown where the majority of the power for the frigates ship where being generated. This was their target with a total of 8 6.5 lasers being focused in on that one area of each of the Nebulon frigates.

The enemy launched their fighters and bombers... the Novaens and the Government forces launched there bombers... with a total of 200 Novaen fighters along side the 8 wings of government forces it was not long that the Rebels fighters where looking shaky.

Once the government forces turned around they decided they didn't want to disable and so they sent the following message to the Novaens...

We'll draw fire while you disable the ships

This was just an easy way of getting around the order rather than dis-obeying it.

It seemed from where the captain in charge of the military action stood that

The Nebulon-B Frigates concentrated their firepower on the Novaens and on NBS Bolt in Particular... It was very badly damaged and suffered heavy losses but still managed to operate it's weapon systems

The Rebels where caught in a classic Pincer movement.

OOC : The Mon Cal Star Cruisers are equavalient to MKIIs . However my navy does not use such versions . We use the more powerful , faster and deadlier MKIIIs .

IC :

General Samuel Warton stood aboard the bridge of the lead Mon Calamari Star Cruiser and groaned in dispair when he realised that his fleet was caught in a pincer attack strategy by Mationbuds Imperial Navy and the Novaen Ships .

Turning to Com Links officer , he signaled to the officer to start a transmission with the secret Rebel Base .

"Rebel Base Echo , this is Gen Samuel Warton . Authentication Code Charlie Zelta Bravoda ."

"This is Echo Base . General , we read you loud and clear ."

"Excellent . I Understand that Echo Base has a complement of 6 Squadrons of X-Wings and 4 Squadrons of B-Wing Heavy Bombers right ?"

"Right sir ."

"Order them to launch and meet us at site 12.34.23 but forewarn them of heavy enemy forces , capital ships ."

"WHAT ! You cant be serious . Sending Starfighters against Capital Ships !"

"I'm serious Commander . Do it ."

"As you say General ."

Several Minutes Later :

The 36 X-Wings and 24 B-Wings appeared out of hyperspace and began to form up attack formation Bravo , which meant the Starfighters would do straffing attack runs while the Bombers would unleash havoc and play around with the enemy ship's shields .

The Starfighters moved in , firing unrelentlessly with their Quad Wing Mounted Laser Cannons on enemy starfighters while firing their Proton Torpedoes on the enemy capital ships .

Then the B-Wings followed behind by firing their Proton Torpedoes , Concussion Missiles and Truncheon Torpedoes at the enemy capital ships with bursts from their Twin Laser Turrets and Mounted Ion Cannon to disable or weaken the enemy shields .

Meanwhile ...

General Samuel Warton's Mon Calamari Star Cruiser wasn't faring well at all .

"General , shields down to 60% !"

"Order powering up of Gravitic Field Generators . Set up a interdiction field to prevent any more enemy ships from arriving ."

"Yes sir !"

"Also tell Commander David's Mon Cal Cruiser to move with 2 Nebulons to move and attack the enemy from their flank ."

"All right sir ." the Tactical Officer replied as he scurried off to obey the General's orders .

Then the General turned his gaze to his Ship Deployment Commander .

"Commander , how are our 2 Nebulons under my command faring ?"

"Still okay sir , but with some shield reduction up to 50% !"

"You call that okay !!!"

"No sir , I apologize ."

"All right . Order them to form up protective formation beside my ship . We will give cover fire they need . Whatever necessasary . "

"Yes sir !"

"Also order a total of 20 Squadrons of X-Wings , Y-Wings and 10 Squadrons more of B-Wings to launch from our Nebulons and our ship and do cover fire and damage to the enemy ships ."

"Yes sir ."

The 2 Nebulon-B Frigates moved to the port and starboard sides of the General's Mon Cal Star Cruiser while firing from theur Starboard and Port Weapons respectively at the enemy MKIII Imperial Star Cruiser and the Novaen Ships .

They were also relieved to hear the familiar thuds from the opening rounds when the turbolaser and heavy turbolaser batteries and the ion cannons and heavy ion cannons fired from the General's ship as blue and green lances of energy sprang towards the enemy ships , backed by hundreds of Proton and Concussion Missiles fired from the Nebulons and the Gen's ship itself .

Plus the hundred or so of Starfighters and Heavy Bombers , the damage should be applenty ...

"Sir... enemy ships incoming.. looks like Mationbuds fighters," stated the conn officer

"Rebel or Government?" asked the captain.

"ah... Rebel. Yes, Definately rebel." replied the conn..

"Okay.. Get all Novaen fighters to withdraw and engage the new set of fighters and bomers, also order the Eclipse class to deploy all fighters and bombers... 100 fighters to aid against the new contacts and the rest to help mop up those remaining Rebel fighters. The Bombers are to concentrate on the 2 main ships. The Mon whatevers."

"Sir incoming missliles and torpodoes..."

"Start randomised evasive roll procedure." The closer the misiles/torpedoe could get to the tip of the Hawdon class the more the ships had to roll to avoid. The point defense lasers changed their targetting priority to take this into the situation... The Ion Cannons and lasers hit the Novaens ships...

"Status report... only relatively minor damage... NBS Bolt is looking very damanged..."

"Okay, time to change tactics... let's play hit and run... and TFME only again. All Novaen ships"

The tactic involved using the TFME FTL drive to jump and lay down fire then jump to a new location before the enemy could respond. Still targetting the same area of the ship, just from all over the place.

(OOC: And just to pre-empt something, the TFME drive is not affected by any known FTLi... it uses very different techbase... I describe the tech in my ship catalogue. If you still want more information then TG me)

The 6 marks III's still attacking and dominating the 2 Mon Calamri classes
1 elite on each of the Nebulon-B then the Wraiths and the Eclipse. And with the 4 Novaen Hawdon class ships TFMEing around like no ones business he Rebels where getting a headache

As General Samuel Warton turned and looked out of the viewport , a loud thud could be heard as the entire 1.5km long ship shook and shuddered .

Thinking it was due to heavy enemy fire , he ignored it until he looked out . To his dismay and displeasure , he saw one of his Nebulon-B Frigates , the Intimidator in a ball of flames as it slowly rolled away from his fleet .

Then he looked out and saw hundreds , possibly thousands of Mationbuds and Novaen Starfighters in the air , having dogfights . But the enemies were dominating , due to their large numbers .

Then he saw the enemy Ship , the NBS Bolt and at once knew that it was in trouble . Turning to weapons officer Davis , he ordered him to relay a firing order to all ships to concentrate fire on the estranged enemy ship . He had to repay the lives of the men on the Intimidator .

The remaining 2 severely damaged Mon Calamari Star Cruisers and 3 almost-of-of-action Nebulon-B Frigates to open fire with all their weaponary at the NBS Bolt with all the remaining 70+ Starfighters and Bombers to change vector and fire all their weaponary at the NBS Bolt . Around 8 of them chose to sacrifice themselves as they plunged their starfighters into the NBS Dart , causing massive damage as they impacted and exploded ...

The NBS Bolt was struck by the 8 Starfighters then disappeared... no Red glow, but the TFME was engaged

... inside NBS Bolt...

"****, ****, ****, ****" exclaimed the Captain... "Okay what damage do we have..."

"It's more of a matter of what we do have then what we don't... Life support is barely functioning, Weapons are down, all but one sensor is down, The Hyperspace Bubble Generator is down, We've serious breaches that ..."

"Okay.. Okay what do we have?"

"We have A planetery sensor, Life support and the TFME, and some of our inertial thrusters... that's it... oh and basic diagnostics"

"Get the repair crew to get life support fully functionig communications back online... You said something about serious breaches?"

"Yes, sir... I'm estimating we have 15 minutes until.... well, something not nice."

"Okay.." said the captain trying to get a hold of the situation and calm himself down

"What about medical bay, hows that?" asked the Captain

"Don't know... "

"Okay everyone who's system is down go and find yourself something to do. Pete, go to the Medical Bay and find out what is happening there."

Pete was the communications officer and so he went to find out the situation

THe bridge was now absent apart from the FTL engineer, Helmsman and the planetery scanning officer.

"Start Scanning for planets..." ordered the captain

"But sir..." complained the Planetry Scanning Officer

"Just do it... unless we find somewhere to ... land we'll all die." yelled the captain...

"Yes, sir." said the planetery scanning officer as the scans started to run.

...

Meanwhile back in the battle .. the head captain in charge grimaced as he saw the pounding that NBS Bolt was receiving, it had obviously had not gotten the message about the hit and run tactics... maybe the communications was out. He was epecting to see it blow up, but it didn't it blurred out of existance as the TFME kicked in and took it away.

Normal procedure was to an an emergency relocate to the nearest neutral planet. Report the current situation back to the fleet and to Nova before heading back, but presuming their communications where out. The captain sent a message to Nova telling them of the current situation and the Bolt had taken an emergency TFME jump and probably is on the way home telling them that communications where down.

"I should of had the fighters there to protect it... I knew it was weak!" said the leading captain out loud. the bridge was silent except for a few tweakings by the Fire Controller for a second as no one knew what had happened to the NBS Bolt that was the worst thing, not knowing. Then the mind of the crew went back to the battle at hand.

The Battle tactics where working, the 70 or so fighters left where being whittled down. The Eclipses Starfighters, except for the 100 that had assisted the Novaens, and bombers had been recalled. It was just a matter of time before the Battle was won.

The captain attempted one last message to the Rebels it read...

General Samuel Warton pounded his hands on the command console as he realised that he was loosing the battle . Upon seeing that neither the Imperial or Novaen ships had activated their Interdiction Fields , he ordered his own Interdiction fields to be lowered before ordering his fleet to jump to hyperspace to his secret base ...

Darth Bane was in the flagship of the Empire Protectorate Starfleet , which was a Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer , a massive and deadly 19 kilometre ship bristling with Turbolasers .

Upon receiving the message from the NBS Dart , he replied accordingly

"Although theorotically we are still allies , I regret to inform you that since you have pledge your alliance to the GFFA , while we are loyal to the GE , all Mationbuds ships under your control will cease to be under your control . However we will not show any hostile actions yet and will continue to actively purge the Rebels . Secondly the Emperor Darth Matter has ordered me to bring this matter forward to you . He wishes that you will withdraw your stance to the GE because we do not wish to start hostilities between our nations ."

"As now , intel reports that the Rebels are hiding in Asteroid Cluster 1 , Location 15,21,19 . We will meet you there ."

Then turning to Movement Officer Patty , he ordered

"Jump coordinate 15,21,19 , Asteroid Cluster 1."

"Aye aye sir ."

Then the entire 100+ ship fleet consisting of 20 MKIII/Elite Imperial Star Destroyers , 2 Executor Class SSDs , 1 Eclipse SSD , 1 Lemuria Class Battlestation an other Frigates jumped to hyperspace ...

On Board the NBS Bolt

"1 min..." started the Diagnostics officer before the captain interupted

"What did I say about that before... "

"Uh sorry"... said the Diagnostics officer as they came back to real space just outside the atmosphere of the planet....

"Everyone's strapped in?.... Good... I just hope this ships holds..."

The ship entered the atmosphere and dramatically heated up... The ship was never meant to handle these sort of temperatures but it did surprisingly well.... There was a breach at the weakest point but only as the ship started to exit the re-entry zone.

"Helmsman... get us down...." stated the captain....

The Helmsman did his thing but there was no response from the controls...

"Captain we're getting no response from the controls... whe're going to crash...

"****,,,, everyone hold on tight.... the Bolt seemed to pick up spead as it headed towards the ground........ It crashed tip first into the ground with lots of noise and then lots of dust in the air....The wait of it dug up what dirt it could and it layed flatish on the ground... with a really crumpled up nose and big hole in the side....

In response to the Mationbuds government the captain sighed.


We are sorry at the existing tension between the GFFA and the GE and of the strain that that puts on our relationship. We still consider Mationbuds an allied nation. One thing you may know about us. We don't take any agreements lightly. Any hostile action taken by you against our other allies will certainly put us in a position that we woud much rather avoid but we fear no matter what happens this situation will occur. From our point of view the only thing that would nullify our existing arrangements if there where to be an attack against a Novaen ship. As to the Rebels... we will meet you there,


The final preperations for the FTL jump where being undertaken.... when a secured and heavily encrypted message was received from Nova.

"NBS Bolt has not returned, nor can we raise it. Please confirm it's abscence from your current location."

the reply was quickly sent

"Confirmation of absence and the Mationbuds are getting jumpy about our membership in the GFFA. I don't think we can trust them enough to involve them in the search."

The response came back ... "Agreed, sending any more ships would also be a problem... we can't let them think that the NBS Bolt is not safe. After you have dealt with the rebels find Bolt... If it is damaged beyond repair to come home... you know what to do. Make sure the Government does not know what you are doing."

And with that the 3 remaining Novaen ships jumped to the co-ordinates provided.

Did the NBS Bolt crash land on one of my planets ? Because it definately cant make it to any planet out of my Galaxy in its shape .

Darth Bane too sighed and thought to himself "what a bad way to end a relationship between our nations ..." while formulating and sent a reply :

"I believe my Government has already sent a reply to your Government via official methods . Anyway , we will continue to hunt down the rebels ."

Several Minutes Later ...

The Empire Protectorate Starfleet emerged out of hyperspace near Asteroid Cluster 1 and began charging up its full arsenal of weaponary before beginning to unleash a initial barrage of a combined 6000 Turbolaser Batteries at the believed Rebel Hideout ...

The Novaens arrived shortly after there where no known ships that they could see but either way the command ship enganged it's FTLi and and the three Novaen ships started to fire lasers at ground based targets.

The following message was sent to the Government forces...



We propose a ground assault upon the rebels, this does not seem to be their major base of opperation. We need to get some information from them. As a result we propose ceasing orbital bombardment and to send ground forces to apprehend rebel forces.

.... Meanwhile on the surface of the unknown planet about 150 survivors from the crash of the NBS Bolt climbed out of the ship and managed to plant their feet back on the not so solid ground. For it was sandy and the sun beat down hard on them.

"Urgghh.. This is a desert planet..." stated the Captain as the sun streamed into his eyes causing him to squint.

In the distance about 7 kilometres away the saw the start of a canyon system.

"We need a 20 person scouting party... everyone else go and find anything that could be useful in the ship, weapons, food, water anything that we can use for shelter... anything." and with that soon a 22 man scouting party was formed and left the wreckage to look around the canyon system. Everyone appart from 10 of the Novaen Special Forces on board the started ransacking the supplies on the ship getting whatever they could get their hands on. The Special Forces kept out on the look out and provided a measure of security for the rest of the crew.

Darth Bane received the Novaens message and replied as follows :

"I suggest we do not cease our orbital bombardment yet because according to intelligence , they have quite a few Turbolaser Batteries and Mobile Turbolasers , altogether numbering around 50 . Once those are taken out , we can start the ground assualt . We are also eavesdropping on their comchannels to pick out any vital information ."

Then he turned to Weapons Master James and gave the order to increase orbital bombardment . The massive 19 kilimetre ship shook and shuddered as it strained to increase its rate of fire on the Rebel Hideouts and suspected Turbolaser or Mobile Turbolaser emplacements . The latter harder to destroy because they had the ability to move around .

Rebel Echo Base - Asteroid Cluster 1

General Samuel Warton silently prayed that he would survive this dreadful ordeal as his command bunker shook and shuddered under the intense Imperial and Novaen Orbital Bombardment . He had ordered his remaining 2 Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruisers , which were outdated in today's standards and the 3 Nebulon-B Frigates to hide behind a massive Asteroid and conduct repairs before comming out to rejoin the battle .

He then turned to Signal Officer Clancy and signaled the young officer to come over . When Officer Clancy rushed over , Samuel impatiently snatched the Comlink away from Clancy and opened a channel to number 45 , which was the command Turbolaser Battery

"Commander Wilcock , how is the battle defence net going along ?"

"We are left with 8 Turbolaser Batteries and 12 Mobile Turbolaser Cannons after the intense enemy bombardment . Hang on sir , we just lost 2 more mobile turbolasers sir . "

General Samuel could hear static in the background , which meant a break in communications between the 2 destroyed mobile turbolasers and the head turbolaser battery . After grunting a quick thanks , he closed the channel and opened another to number 120 , which was Starfighter Command .

"Admiral Tom , have your starfighters launched yet ?"

"No sir . We are still holding back our 10 Squadrons of Starfighters and 6 Squadrons of Starbombers . Most of them are undergoing refueling now . They should be ready soon ."

"Excellent . Launch them as soon as possible . Send 5 Squadrons of Starfighters and 3 Squadrons of Starbombers to do straffing runs asap ."

"Aye aye Commander ." the Admiral replied before hanging up .

Several minutes later ...

Darth Bane laughed a evil laugh as he saw a feebel attempt to repel his battle group with the miserable 5 Squadrons of Starfighters comprising of X-Wings and Skipray Blastboats and 3 Squadrons of Starbombers comprising of the outdated TIE Bomber MKI .

He then turned to Ordanance Master Elliot .

"Elliot , launch 20 Squadrons of TIE Fighters , TIE Interceptors , X-Wings and A-Wings to counter the enemy starfighters and starbombers . Then launch 10 Squadrons of TIE Bombers MKII , B-Wings , Y-Wings and Scimitar Assult Bombers to do starffing runs on the enemy bunkers and gun emplacements . Try to take out as many of their troop barracks and armor depots as possible ."

"Yes sir ." Elliot replied before hurriedly turning to issue the orders .

Imperial Prison Planet

Commander Jamica was enjoying a cup of tea when a young Ensign rushed up to him .

"Sir , our radar has picked up a flaming mass which is on a course that will bring it to the Prison Planet ."

"Great . Order crews to General Quarters ."

As the Captain of the Imperial Cruiser Good Hope , Commander Jamica believed it was an honor to serve the Imperial Navy as a head of a Adjucidator Cruisers , one if the few ships the Empire built to suit its own needs .

He rushed up to the Command Deck just in time to see what he thought was a meteorite crash onto the Prison Planet . He picked up the Hyperwave Trans-sender and relayed the information to Prison Commadore Frankurt , who similarly dismissed it ...

Outcast Camp Jamert

One of the many hundreds of Inmate and Outlaw Camps , Jamert was no different from the others . On that particular day , the camp's 200 Inmates watched as a massive ship crashed onto their planet .

They were free to roam around as there was no law forbidding them from leaving the camp , except to forbid them for getting off planet . The 2 Imperial Adjucidator Cruisers did just that .

Camp "Chieftian" Tommy , a inmate elected Inmate Leader summoned up 80 of his fellow inmates , after gathering the few sticks and bows and arrows they had in their possesion , they set off for the crash site ...

Several Hours Later ...

Tommy and his gang of rag-tag inmates arrived on the outskirts of the crah site , which meant a 1.5 km boundary around the crash site and watched as Heavily Armed men paced around the crash-site . Thinking that they were Imperial Forces and the crashed ship was a crashed Adjucidator Cruiser , which might hold some valuable items , he summoned other camps to join his party , which now totalled 500 men armed with sharpened sticks , batons and incinidary or poison armor piercing bows and arrows , which they improvised .

They slowly and cautiously approached the crash sit , motioning for the survivors to surrender or die . Tommy shouted to them in a loud voice :

"Put your hands high up in the air , Imperial scum . You imprisoned us for no apparent reason and now its our time to pay back . Your only hopes of survival are to surrender and give us your weaponary and such . We spare little or no mercy for Imperials . And dont think about striking back , or I'll summon thousands more of us to attack you ... "

The Novaen Lasers streamed done towards the mobile Turbolasers, the rebel defenses where nearly done...

The chief captain... started to think.

There is a base here... but no ships. I need to double check... There was an Asteroid field nearby with a number of various sized asteroids in it... from extremely large to small.. 4 Novaen fighters where sent to scout the Asteroid field

Back on the prison planet...

The people at the crash site where busy working away when one of the Special forces spotted something in the distance.... It soon dissappeared. It was only a mirage. well that was unil the 80 prison inmates appeared from no where....

The special person who had the highest rank in the Special Forces nodded to his crew, and with that the Special Forces team slowly raised their hands in surrendoring. The people who where gathering stuff from NBS Bolt quickly surrended too... though while they did out number the prisoners the Special Forces had already put their hands up so the rest decided to do that to.

"Hi,uhhh... Where not from Mationbuds, whether from the government, any Rebel forces there may be or even neutral citizens. We are Novaens...."

The squad of 22 people that left to scout out the canyon arrived... It was an alright place but there was no real shelter and potentially prone to surprise flooding. That was if the planet received any rainfall at all. So they started to head back... afar pf they could tell there was something wrong.... there where far too many people around the site... around double as there should have been.. The captain decided to stay back and watch until something happened

Darth Bane laughed when he overheard the transmission between the Head Turbolaser Battery and Rebel HeadQuarters ... We are down with 1 Turbolaser Battery and 2 Mobile Turbolasers ...

Now was the time to strike . The mere turbolaser battery and 2 mobile turbolasers were not enough to destroy the massive armada that the Rebels faced and indeed now was the time to start the ground assult .

He sent a message to the Novaens :

"The Rebels are down to their Head Turbolaser Battery and 2 Crippled Mobile Turbolasers which have lost their mobility . They now pose minimal threat to our ships and any possible ground assult . Now is the time to strike ."

Then he turned to the nearest Army Officer and ordered the ground assult to commence . After acknowledging the order , the officer repeated the orders into fleet comn channels . Slowly , 3 Divisions of Imperial Storm Troopers and 2 Divisions of Vanguard Troopers backed up by 2 Armored Divisions and 1 Artillery Division landed on the Asteroid Cluster , given air support by the Orbital Bombardment plus 10 Squadrons of TIE Fighters , X-Wings , TIE Interceptors and TIE Defenders and 5 Squadrons of Scimitar Assult Bombers , B-Wings and TIE Bomber MKII additionally launched by the ships in orbit ... The ground raid had begun ...

Asteroid Sub-Cluster 555 - Defeater (Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruiser)

"Sir , all ships report in that repairs are fully completed ."

"Excellent . Bring in update on the defence of Echo Base ."

"Well , the base reports -----" the intel/conn officer was cut short by the alarm for General Quarters , probably issued by the Watchman Team on guard .

Commander Williams turned to face the Intel Officer

"What the heck caused the GQ Alarm ?"

"Sir , Radar shows 4 Novaen Recon Fighters in the sector . What will be your course of action ?"

"Hmmm ... Launch 2 Squadrons of A-Wings and a Squadron of X-Wings , which in all should total 18 Starfighters . Order them to destroy the 4 Recon Planes with no mercy ."

"Aye aye captain ."

"Meanwhile also order the fleet to jump to hyperspace to assist Echo Base in their defence . The 18 Starfighters will jump to Echo Base upon completing their mission ."

"Understood sir ."

Several seconds later , the starfighters launched and engaged the Novaen Recon Crafts while the 2 Star Cruisers and 3 Frigates jumped to hyperspace to Echo Base , a short 2 minute jump ...

Echo Base

"Sir , Recon Sensor 6 detects enemy ground troops ."

"Darn . Looks like they somehow managed to break our encryption . Order our 2 Divisions of Rebel Troopers and 1 Tank Squad , which should number 200 Rebel Troopers and 20 Hover Tanks . Also add in 2 Plasma Artillery Groups , which will mean 12 Light and Medium Range Plasma Artilleries ."

"At once sir ."

The medium contingent of troops backed up by some artillery units and basic armored cover . They lay in wait for the enemy troops to draw nearer . However the Imperial Forces seemed to be waiting for reinforcements on the Novaen side .

Space

Darth Bane waited for the Novaens to send their Ground Forces before he ordered the attack to commence when the General Quarters alarm rang throughout the Super Star Destroyer , jolting crews from their rest to their pre-assigned battle stations and waited for orders .

"Sir , looks like the fully repaired Rebel Fleet has re-appeared to take the fight back to us . They have already launched 2 Wings of Starfighters and 1 Wing of Starbombers and are charging up their Turbolaser complements ."

"It was my foresight that enabled me to pre-charge the ship's weaponary . Now order all the 100+ ships in this fleet to open fire . It shouldnt take too long to eliminate the pest ."

"Aye sir ."

The massive 19km vessel was the first to open fire with its full complement of Turbolaser and Heavy Turbolaser Batteries plus the other numerous weaponary , given support by the other 100+ vessels , and immediately destroyed 1 Nebulon-B Frigate which was still launching its starfighters and severely crippled a Mon Calamari MC80 Star Cruiser . Another Nebulon-B Frigate was destroyed when it appeared out of hyperspace too near the Imperial armada and was destroyed when a Czrads Class Cruiser crashed into it and exploded with all its deadly complement of Suicide Vessels , creating a massive explosion which engulfed the Rebel Frigate and itself , also damaging several nearby Imperial Cruisers and Star Destroyers in the same time ...

"Sir.. we're picking up something.. don't have a good hold... looks like a ship" stated one of the scouting fighter pilots

"****"... was the last thing that was heard over the communications as the scouting fighters where ambushed by the rebels.

As soon as the Rebel ships emerged to Base Echo the Government armada of Ships engaged the 5 remaining ships and utterly destroyed them in a short time.

The Novaens launched a number of various shuttles to the surface A total of 1500 conventional troops and 300 of their special forces came and landed deploying their troops and then taking flight again.

Commander Williams shook his fist in anger as he watched his flotilla crumple . He had already lost his entire fleet of Nebulon-B Frigates . He was only down to his and the other remaining but critically damaged Mon Calmari Star Cruisers . However they managed to destroy 4 Defender Class Light Frigates and 1 Carrack Class Light Cruiser plus damaging several Cruisers , Star Cruisers and Star Destroyers while irritating the massive and colosal Super Star Destroyers , which outgunned the Mon Cal Star Cruiser 5 : 1 while the Eclipse had it outgunned 12 : 1 .

A vibration then shook the ship as he watched the other Mon Cal Star Cruiser on its death throes . It has been hit on its Starboard and Bridge sections , leaving massive gaping holes , mostly done when a Executor SSD drew alongside it and opened fire with all its massive compliments of weaponary , quickly overwhleming and engulfing the already starined Star Cruiser;s shields ...

Back on the prison planet...

Tommy and his gang of around 500 and growing inmates marched forward , surrounding the entire Novaen group of survivors .

"I don't care . If you wanna live , just surrender yourselves , your supplies and of course all your weaponary . And we will strip your ship of all its on-board heavy weapons and modify or improvise them to create mobile weapons platforms . We intend to use them as an offensive against the Imperials . You can join if you want , but that does not relieve any suspicions we have against you ."

"Well... I suppose we better get started then..." said the leader of the Special Forces group "How do you wish for us to hand over our weaponry?". The Novaens knew they where out numbered and had generally had stopped in their tracks.. just waiting for a sign to fight, to surrender or get back to work.

The Squad leader had kept his cool and knew that the prisoners where in command... There where in the significant minority and even if they could take on the prisoners currently there more and more would come well before they had a chance, so their only hope was to go with the rebels and if they could find a way to help democracy flourish while under prisoner command then all the better.

Tommy smirked in contempt at the Novaens who were willing to give up so easily .

"Well , you can start by putting all your weaponary - Grenades , Guns , Viroblades , you name it . Right over there ." he replied as he gestured at a spot which was encircled by 20 Outcasts armed with sharpened Sticks and Batons .

OOC : Bump to NB .

As per national policy, a Free Tulsan recce vessel had been dispatched before Mationbuds even recieved the embassy request. This particular vessel was a Thunder Dart-class penetrator - ridiculously fast and hard to detect, but possessing almost no armaments. It dropped out of hyperlight near Echo Base (Free Tulsa had only recently discovered faster-than-light travel, and they were still working the kinks out). Captain Ramsey saw a large amount of debris and various warships and reacted the way any military officer would in a similar situation - he called for reinforcements, in the form of sixteen Home-Star Navy frigates which would be about as much use against the government or rebel navies as a sheet of cardboard, assuming they arrived in time to do anything - it would take them four hours to arrive, and they were the only warships less than a month away from Ramsey's location. He decided to remain concealed for the time being in order to find out just what the hell was going on before he jumped to conclusions.

Darth Bane watched the Tactical Display Screen as a Free Tulsan vessel approached after exiting from Hyperspace . He wanted to open fire at it initially but suddenly remembered that Mationbuds and Free Tulsa had just openened relations several days ago .

He picked up the comn mike and was about to send them a message when 16 Free Tulsan warships appeared out from hyperspace . By Imperial Standards they were relatively old but still powerful ... They would later be given several warships for their help , no doubt .

He sent a message to them :

"Welcome . I am Darth Bane of the Empire Protectorate Starfleet . I presume you are here to assist us in quashing the rebels . We warmly thank you for that . For your aid , you will be given 2 Imperial MKIII Star Destroyers and 6 VictoryII Star Destroyers after the rebels have been sucessfully eliminated . Over and out ."

Echo Base - Command Centre

"Damn it . Seems like the Imperials have more aid ." General Warton screamed in anger after hearing reports of 16 Free Tulsan Cruisers entering the system to aid the Imperials .

"What is our defence status ?"

"Apparently we are down to 10 Mobile Turbolasers and 2 Turbolaser Batteries." a blury eyed Commander reported .

"Damn . Order them to open fire on the new-commers . Try to do as much damage as possible . Also redirect our remainig Star Cruiser and 2 Frigates to destroy the 16 Free Tulsan warships ."

"Aye aye sir ."

Once again the bunker shook and shuddered as the nearby Turbolaser Batteries opened fire on the Free Tulsan Warships which were in orbit .

"Or Not." said a voice from behind Tommy who suddenly found the barrel of a Novaen gun in his back. The scouting squad had overpowered some of the prisoners coming to aid Tommy and had put on their clothes to allow themselves to covertly enter the group and see what is happening.

The others who had lined up ready to hand over their weapons aimed their guns at the prisoners. "It seems the tables have turned" stated the Special Forces leader "New plan, you leave us alone and we leave you alone. Got that?" he finished.

Behind the group where the rest of the scouting party with their disguises fallen on the ground below aiming their weapons that the group....

Tommy shouted out in fustration . He was inches close to a armed uprising . However , unknown to the 'table-turners' , the shout was actually a pre-arranged signal for more help .

"Well , since you say so , I shall agree ."

He began to talk to them , seemingly cooperating with them . While they were distracted , another 800 to 1000 more inmates had secretly approached and had surrounded the Novaen Scouts , putting the Novaens in an arm-lock and a knife at their throats .

Then Tommy freed himself by kicking backwards at the gunman and knocking him down . Tommy was an ex-martial arts master before turning to crime . Using a quick jab to the neck , he quickly knocked the Novaen unconscious before snatching the Novaen's Blaster Rifle and aiming it at the Special Forces leader , who was also arm-locked and held at knife point by one of Tommy's fellow inmates .

"Now look how the table has re-turned . Its either you give no more tricks and surrender peacefully or be forcibly exterminated . Choose one ?"
