Mission to Establish Diplomatic Ties
Confidential: Do not talk about the contents of this portfolio with ANYONE, especially members of the Private Sector political party (see Liberated New Ireland Factbook, v0.90: http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=476765)
I, the Commisar of Foreign Relations, have been authorized by the People to seek diplomatic ties with foreign states, to benefit both ourselves, and the world community.

We are a poor country, and have very few resources to export to you. However, we have the ability to raise a force of Three Million (3,000,000) soldiers, and are willing to send them at the behest of any ally who needs military aid.

In return, we ask for economic aid, to make our system of agriculture better, and for international pressure on the corporations that are crushing third-world countries such as ours.

We await a reply from any willing representatives.
The Cities Of Peace

The Cities of Peace would be honored to exchange embassies with PRLNI. We are well established as to agriculture and manufacturing and would welcome PRLNI troops to aid us should we need it.

regards,

President Jack Mahoney.

Thank you. My soldiers are currently securing a plot of land near the capital, Limerick, for your embassy, City of Peace.
Russkya
09-04-2006, 22:19
The People's Socialist Republic of Russkya would be honoured to offer the expanding People's Republic of Liberated New Ireland* aid in the form of advanced agricultural equipment and techniques (Including appropriate instruction staff equipped to stay for a six-month period to train your own instructors). If desired, PSR Russkya is able to provide the PRLNI with military equipment produced by the RMSMC**, and given the existence of the Russko-Celtic Corps, thinks it wise to extend the hand of friendship in the form of an embassy exchange and potential defensive treaty with the PRLNI.

Best Regards,
- Konstantin Obamov, PSR Russkya

OOC:
* - I'm assuming that PRLNI is the People's Republic of Liberated New Ireland
** - It's mostly East-Bloc type kit I can sell you, but it's produced by the RMSMC, so the optics, electronics, and the like, are top-notch. Same type of vehicle though, the differences for say, a T-80BVK, would be improved radios, electronics, fire-control systems, and the RMSMC also produces maingun ammunition for the 125mm 2A26, so the stability issues some Russian APFSDS rounds experiance would be nonexistant.

Hello,

The Secular Utopia of RFF would be pleased to exchange embassies with your fine nation. Perhaps from this, the buds of diplomacy will flower?

Russkya
OOC: Yeah, People's Republic of Liberated New Ireland is a bit of a mouthful.
IC: We thank you for your genorosity, and would be glad to exchange embassies with you. Your training and equipment will be most helpful in bringing our country's crashed economy back on its feet. We would also be thankful for the modern weaponry. Our army, while it is the largest and most powerful in our local area, is notorious for its use of low quality or outdated weapons. I look forward to further contact from you.

Aqua Anu
Very well, I am eager to meet your ambassador.

Thank you, my army is currently securing several square miles of land for diplomatic purposes, we will make sure to designate a spot for you and commence construction of an embassy.
Gwazzaria
09-04-2006, 22:41
The Grand Duchy of Gwazzaria is pleased to recognize PRLNI, and we are willing to provide support of many kinds. We would be honoured if you opened up an embassy in the Cloudspine.

Gwazzaria has a relatively large hydroponic farming industry, and could send engineers and advisors if you so requested.

If you seek small arms, we are currently phasing out our IMBEL MD-2 and -3 assault rifles in favor of BDT Inc. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=475634)'s new rifles. It would help our standardization effort if we could sell these guns to you.

Signed,
Prime Minister Daurandel of Gwazzaria

"There," the PM sat back and smiled. "That ought to get us on the good side of the Irish population here."

Thank you for the kindness and generosity of your state. However, we are already recieving agricultural and military aid from The People's Socialist Republic of Russkya (OOC: And I believe his aid fits my timeframe better.). However, we would still be interested in exchanging embassies with you. We are currently clearing insurgents out of out diplomatic sector, but it should not take long.

(OOC: being as we're already enemies in the RP "Fall of America" I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want the Toopoxican Organisation as an ally as it's pretty much the same thing, but how bout full IC enemies as you did say you were looking for allies and enemies)
McPsychoville

While we are unlikely to require military aid, we are always interested in helping other nations establish themselves on the global scene. We can help you on both economic aid and improving your agricultural sector, particularly with the use of our agricultural technology. However, being a firmly capitalist nation, we will not be pressuring any such multinational corporation, for obvious reasons.

Yours sincerely,
Bryan Danielson, Minister for International Relations

OOC: Sure thing, my treacherous friend.

McPsychoville
Thank you for the offer, McPsychoville. Perhaps you would like to establish an embassy in my nation. You would be a helpful link between the capitalist world and mine.

Very well, comrade, an embassy you have. (OOC: Must have been channeling yoda.)

To the appointed representative of the PRLNI

As a fellow young nation, I do extend a hand of friendship and goodwill to you, and congratulate you upon the occaision of your newly-won independence. I believe it would be most advantageous for both our nations if diplomatic ties were inaugurated post-haste between us. Astura has much to offer the PRLNI in the form of both military equipment and economic and agricultural aid.

If you choose to accept, a plot of land will immediately be developed for a PRLNI mission in the capitol of Astura, Vo Mimbre. This shall be designed to any specifications you may desire.

Many Thanks,

Lannold Haigue,
Knight Protector,
Protectorate of Astura

Thank you Astura, I will accept your offer. As for an office, I ask only for a simple office and a place to stay, so that my ambassador can build stronger ties between our nations. In return, I have designated a plot of land for your embassy, and await any specifications you may have for it. (OOC: That applies to everyone else I opened friendly ties with on this thread.)

Your Ally,

Ciaran Lynch, Commisar of Foreign Relations.

PSR Russkya officially offers the LNI an embassy located in Berisak, Russkya's Capital, to be constructed to your specifications. The embassy's location is approximately ten minutes via diplomatic car from the Politburo buildings.

Given the current civil war in the PRLNI, the Russkyan government graciously declines any recipricating offer to construct an embassy at the present time.

Compliments on LNI Regular forces and Kern success on the offensive. We trust that our weapon shipment has provided you with some advantages previously unheld?

Regards,
- Konstantin Obamov, PSR Russkya

Yes, the updated weaponry has been very helpful in defending our nation (as they were the original aggressors).

As for the specifications for the embassy, we ask only for office space and a place to sleep for 50 people (30 diplomatic workers, 20 security), near a small Catholic chapel.

Such accomodations have been provided. However, a 'small Catholic chapel' was not nearby. A rather large Catholic cathedral, the only one in Russkya, however, is approximately thirty minutes away, if one chooses to walk.

Catholics are a decided minority in Russkya, but you will find no ill will towards members of that faith in the country. Just very few Catholics settled here. There are some odd demographics, in Russkya.

Understandable. Catholicism is the dominant religion in Ireland, and many of our people in the government are true believers. Be assured, they don't let the religion get in the way of work, however.

Such an attitude is most beneficial to the public perception of the Catholic faith in Russkya and I am certain that the diplomatic mission will result in great benefits for both our nations and furthered cooperation.
